The wedding went off beautifully, filled with love, laughter, and happy tears. After the ceremony, the family gathered for pictures, capturing the precious moments to remember for a lifetime.
As the photographers worked their magic, Jane pulled Angela aside. "Ma, I haven't told Maura yet, but since we came to Boston, I decided to put in for some leave. I've purchased tickets for a trip to Santorini to surprise her. So this wedding couldn't have come at a better time."
Angela's eyes widened with delight. "Oh, Janie, that's wonderful! Maura will be over the moon. And don't worry about Marcy. Of course, I'll watch her for an extended four-day weekend. I know how much you both need this."
Jane hugged her mother tightly. "Thanks, Ma. I knew I could count on you."
As they finished taking pictures, Maura stepped forward, a microphone in her hand. "Attention, everyone! The reception will be in the VIP box. Please join us there."
She took Jane's hand, and together, they made a grand entrance to the applause of their guests. The song "The Biggest Part of Me," a favorite of theirs, began to play. Jane laughed, the joy of the moment bubbling over, and led Maura to the dance floor.
As they swayed to the music, Jane leaned in close. "Do you remember when we talked about wedding fantasies? You said you dreamed of getting married in Santorini."
Maura smiled, her eyes sparkling with the memory. "Yes, I remember."
Jane's heart pounded with excitement. "Well, the reason I didn't hesitate to come to Boston with you was so I could drop Marcy off with my mom and whisk you away to Greece."
Maura's eyes widened in surprise and then filled with tears of joy. "Jane, are you serious? We're going to Santorini?"
Jane nodded, her grin matching Maura's. "Yes, we are. Just you and me, for four wonderful days."
Maura threw her arms around Jane, hugging her tightly. "This is perfect. I can't believe you planned all this."
Jane laughed softly. "I guess we both had a few surprises up our sleeves."
As they continued to dance, surrounded by their family and friends, the reality of their shared dreams settling in, they knew this was just the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives. The night was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and joyous celebration. Jane couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for the life they had built together.
The soft glow of city lights filtered through the sheer curtains of the luxurious suite, casting a warm ambiance over the room. Jane and Maura stood in each other's arms, still caught up in the whirlwind of emotions from their wedding reception. The air was thick with love and anticipation, their hearts beating in sync.
Maura traced gentle fingers along Jane's jawline, her touch tender and affectionate. "Tonight has been perfect," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jane nodded, her gaze locked with Maura's. "It really has. I still can't believe you pulled off a wedding without me knowing."
Maura chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "And I can't believe you had a surprise trip to Santorini planned all along."
Jane grinned, pulling Maura closer. "Well, we make a good team."
They stood in silence for a moment, simply reveling in the closeness of each other. Then, as if guided by an unspoken understanding, they moved as one toward the plush king-size bed. Jane's fingers deftly worked at the buttons of Maura's elegant tuxedo dress, revealing smooth skin and the hint of lingerie underneath.
Maura sighed softly as Jane's lips met hers in a tender kiss, their mouths moving together in a dance of passion and love that only they shared. Jane's hands roamed over Maura's back, tracing the curves of her body with a familiarity born of years together.
Maura moaned softly into the kiss, her fingers tangling in Jane's hair as she deepened the connection between them. Their bodies pressed together, the warmth and desire building between them with every touch and caress.
As they broke apart for a moment to catch their breath, Jane whispered against Maura's lips, "I love you, Maura Isles."
Maura's eyes shimmered with unshed tears of happiness. "And I love you, Jane Rizzoli."
They continued to undress each other slowly, their movements deliberate and filled with reverence. Clothes fell to the floor, forgotten in their desire to be closer, to merge together as one in this intimate moment.
Finally, they lay intertwined on the bed, skin against skin, hearts pounding in unison. Jane kissed Maura's neck, trailing soft kisses down her collarbone, eliciting a shiver of pleasure from her wife. Maura's hands roamed over Jane's back, tracing the contours of her muscles with a gentle touch.
Their love-making was unhurried and filled with tenderness, each touch and caress a testament to their deep connection and understanding of each other's desires. They whispered words of love and devotion between kisses, their bodies moving in harmony as they sought to bring each other to the heights of pleasure.
In the quiet moments that followed, they lay wrapped in each other's arms, their breathing slowly returning to normal. Jane pressed a soft kiss to Maura's forehead, her heart overflowing with love and contentment.
"I can't wait to see Santorini with you," Jane whispered, her voice filled with excitement for the future.
Maura smiled, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on Jane's chest. "Me neither. Thank you for making all of this possible, Jane."
Jane kissed Maura's hand, holding it against her heart. "Anything for you, Maura. Always."
And as they drifted off to sleep, entwined in each other's love, they knew that their journey together was just beginning—a journey filled with endless adventures, laughter, and a love that would carry them through any storm.
