Nik had barely gotten to the hospital when Iris told him she needed to push again. Luckily, they had arrived before he had to deliver his own children. Setting her on a gurney he ran for a nurse. Everything moved quickly after that.
The parents to be were in a room and surrounded by doctors and nurses. Nik was holding one of Iris legs while a nurse held the other. It only took two pushes for them to hear the cries of the first baby.
"It's a boy" the doctor told them, handing the baby off to get ready for the next. Iris pushed for another four minutes when they heard the cry, "And here's you girl" the doctor handed baby two off to attend to mom.
Nik leaned down to kiss Iris on her forehead, "You okay Luv" he asks her, wiping the tears that had escaped from her eyes.
Iris nods, "I'm good, stay with them Nik" he nodded and gave her one more kiss before going to their children. They could all hear the commotion in the hall, two voices seemed to be louder than the rest.
Iris watched the door, knowing they wouldn't be kept out. Siri runs into her room, looking around and when he sees her, he runs right for her. "Iris, god we were worried when Elijah called" he blurt out, checking her over. Remy following behind with a smile on his face, "How are you feeling" he asks.
Iris tells them she's okay and that the babies are perfectly healthy, that's when both men realize she's lost the beach ball look. Looking over, they see Nik standing guard while the nurses check the babies over.
"Iris, you will need to have everyone besides Nik step out for the skin to skin with the babies" her doctor tells her, her uncles tell them they will be right outside with everyone else.
The nurse walks over, placing her babies on her chest so that they can be with their mother. She tells Nik that he is able to do the same after Iris does her time, it keeps the babies temperature and heartbeats regulated. Everyone besides the new family leave.

Nik slides into the bed beside Iris, "They're so small" he tells her, watching the three.
Iris looks up to him, "Can you believe we made them, I mean they half of each of us" she whispers out, smiling at the babies.
Nik kisses her head, "They're going to be the best half of each of us" he kisses each baby on the head, "And probably the most spoiled children ever" he jokes. Iris laughs because she knows he's right.
"So have you thought about their names, I know we had a few options" Nik asks softly.
Iris nods to him, "The last ones we agreed on, I want to go with those" she tells him.
They enjoy the peaceful time they have before they're bombarded by family. Thank goodness Elijah thought to call everyone, neither of them had the time to.
They sit in silence, watching their babies. It was the best feeling ever.

Sirius and Remus were of course the first back into the room, although that just meant they were closest to the babies because everyone else filed in after. When the nurse tried to tell them it was too many people, well the vampires took care of that.
Care, Becca, Jenna and Bonnie were cooing over the babies, the men had to fight to get a turn to hold them. Elijah was the one who asked, "Have you decided on names" looking between Nik and Iris.
They smiled at the group, Nik walked over, grabbing his boy and handing him to Iris before going to grab his princess. "This is Lillian Elizabeth" he starts, Iris finishes, "And this is Henry James" Siri and Remy sniffled at the names.
Walking over to hug Iris, "Your parents would be so proud" they tell her, shaking Niks hand.
"We wanted them to have a little of each, Henry for Henrik, James for my dad, Lillian for my mom, and Elizabeth for my first friend here" Iris explained. Caroline broke down in sobs, joining Sirius and Remus. Niks siblings loved that they had honored Henrik.
Of course the question was asked, Becca wanted to know really bad, "Who are the godparents" Iris looked to Nik for this answer.
Nik sighed, looking everyone over. "You all are, we couldn't decide. I mean even with two babies there was no way we could have picked only four of you. So the girls are all Lillian's god parents and the guys are Henry's. You can sort out favorite aunties and uncles on you own" he told them.
They weren't happy with it but they would survive.

They had been home for two days when Iris got the courage to ask Nik a question that she had been dreading an answer to. "Nik, what are we going to do about your aunt. Your mother said all first born children go to her, she can't have my children" Iris was starting to panic.
Nik gathered her up in a hug, "Luv, don't panic. Finn has been looking into it with Kol and Bonnie. Trust me, she won't get to out children" leaning down to kiss her, he smiles and adds, "I guess you could always deal with her like you did Hayley"
Iris was confused, "What? I didn't do anything to that bitch" she said. Nik laughed, calling Elijah to the room and telling him to explain.
Elijah smirked, "It seems that while you were having contractions, Hayley seemed to explode and then implode according to Tyler Lockwood" holding in a laugh he added, "You may have traumatized him for life" Iris looked confused and then blushed.
"I meant to silence her, a contraction hit just as I started the spell" Iris was full on blushing, "Whoops, well she'll get the hint now" Iris mutters the last part, both men are confused at that.
"What does that mean Iris" Elijah asks.
Iris smiled at him, "She kept saying how Nik should be with someone like her and how the babies weren't his, I told her to leave us be or she wouldn't like the consequences" she told them, adding, "When she touched me, I told her I would take her arm off if it ever came near me again" she laughs at their expressions.
Of course they had to tell the others. The girls thought it was hilarious and the guys were a little wary of pissing her off.

It had been a month since the babies were born. Iris was pushing her babies in the stroller through the square when she felt it. Someone had just walked past her and her magic jumped. She hurried to send a text.
Iris moved the twins to a bench when she was approached. The woman couldn't have been much older than Nik, she reminded Iris of Becca. "She's going to come for the baby" the woman told her.
Iris looked at the woman sternly, "I'll kill her if she touches either of my children" the woman looked surprised and then smiled.
"My little brother sure picked him a strong one, you know don't you" the woman says.
It clicks for Iris, looking at the woman in front of her, "You're Freya, how are you here" she asks, hoping Nik hurries.
"I wake before Dahlia, she will wake soon and when she does, she will come for the babe" Freya tells her. She jumps when she hears the voice behind her.
"Dahlia won't get near my children. Sister, you've been missed" Nik tells her, Freya turns to see Nik and Finn. Her eyes widen.
"I can't stay, she will know where I am and I can't put another through the life I've lived" Freya tells them, she's going to run.
Iris grabs her arm, "Please, we can help you. We can take her down, I promise we can protect you" she looks in Freyas eyes as she tells her this.
"You don't even know me" Freya whispers. Iris shrugs.
"Doesn't matter, you're family" she says, showing her the wedding ring.
Freya agrees to go with them, not promising to stay.

"So there is a way to kill our aunt" Freya explains everything they need. Iris is confused on one part of the spell.
"Are you sure, and not to sound rude about this, but are you sure you're the person she loved that broke her heart" Iris looks to Nik, "I mean if my sister married a man like those that hurt me, that would kill me" Freya looks unsure.
"I'm with Iris on this, no offense to you but I'm going to think its your mother" Care says, the others agreeing.
"Only problem is, you killed her. We need Mikaels ashes and mothers blood. We have neither with them dead" Freya says.
Iris smiles at Nik, "Told you it was a good idea to shove them in the coffin" Nik rolls his eyes but stands, "Finn, Kol to the basement" the three walk out.
"What are they doing" Freya asks, Iris explains what happened and how they ended up in a witchy preserve type coffin. Worked out for the best.
Luckily they have time before their aunt shows, plenty of time to collect the last few items needed for the spell.

Iris didn't know how the bitch did it but she had taken Nik, Elijah, Finn and Rebecca out. They were desiccated and luckily Iris had moved the coffins. Iris and Care were each strapped with a baby. Kol was the only original that hadn't been taken, he and Bonnie were their only hope to kill Dahlia.
Sirius and Remus had warded the house just as the girls made it in. They had been moving locations when she attacked.
Iris had tears running down her face, "Tell me you got the coffins" she asks, looking to her uncles. She lets out a little sob when they nod. "Thank Merlin, I need blood" She starts to unstrap her son, handing him over to Sirius.
Taking the blood, Iris heads over and opens the coffin Nik is in, "Come on, wake up" she murmurs as she pours the blood in his mouth. She moves down the line, waking the others.
It had taken almost twenty minutes for Nik to wake. He sat up and looked around until his eyes landed on Iris, cuddled up with their children.
Rushing to them, he scooped them into a hug, "I'm sorry, I didn't think she could do that" he tells her, holding her tighter when she sniffles.
"You can't leave us, you promised me forever and I want my forever" she tells him, tears still running down her face. Nik pulls her in tighter and they wait for his siblings.
Nik looks to Kol, "Do we have everything ready" he asks, Kol and Bonnie nod.
"Just waiting for Finn, he's going to contact Freya when it's time" Kol tells him. Nik nods in answer.
Sirius, Remus and Dobby are all helping the others get extra blood when they wake. They were terrified something bad would happen to Iris, they knew they wouldn't survive losing her. Sirius got an idea, he pulled Remus over and told him. Agreeing that it was worth a try, they walked over to Iris. Sitting and explaining to her and Nik, he was on board but Iris was worried. She was unfortunately outvoted.

Standing in the cemetery, Iris was holding her son close to her. Nik was under her dad's cloak next to her. Sirius and Remus were somewhere disillusioned. They were waiting.
They didn't have to wait long. "I see you have come to your senses and brought me the child" Dahlia says, walking into the area.
Iris could feel her heart beating crazily, "I just want this to be over, leave us alone" she tells Dahlia.
The smile that came from that woman sent shivers down her spine, "How do you think Niklaus will take you just giving me his son" Dahlia asks, walking towards her she adds, "Do you really think he will still love you after he finds out"
Iris stands her ground, glaring at the bitch in front of her. "It won't matter because we all know you're going to lose" one more step and Iris smiles.
Dahlia looks confused, trying to rush for the child she realizes she can't move. She's trapped in a one foot by one foot area. Looking to Iris she screams, "What is this" Iris smiles, setting her 'child' on the ground to stand. Dahlia watches the child transform.
"Did you really think I was going to give you my son you psychotic bitch" Iris laughs, "I mean I know Esther was a fucked up person but I actually love my children. You would have had to pry him from my cold dead hands" Iris walks closer and Dahlia notices what she had been holding.
"What is that thing" she screeches
Iris looks offended, "He is not a thing, he's my friend and he fooled you" that's when Freya and Nik show themselves. Everyone else comes closer and Sirus and Remus end the disillusionment charm. "You messed with the wrong family, bitch" Iris tells her.
"My girl, help me, don't let them do this" Dahlia pleads to Freya. Freya looks at her coldly. "You have kept me a prisoner for one thousand years, I'm done. I want to be with my family" she turns her back on Dahlia.
Kol walks up behind her, stabbing her and injecting her with the potion. "Say hello to our parents in hell" he tells her.
Iris calls Care and the others, letting them know it's done.
Now can we please just live our life in peace.
