Hutch ran into the den " winston sir , our scouts have identified the source of the howl iw was a lone wolf just passing by he is being escorted here now.''
winston spoke in a firm tone '' good job hutch , i wonder why a wolf would be sneaking past at this time of night , anyway we will fing out soon enough''.
humphrey pov — i sat quietly listening to the events unfold before me , something about this whole scenairo feels off like my gut is telling me to run but i supress my heasitations and as i start to look around to get a better understanding of my surroundings i can hear a group of wolves approaching so i back into the shadows and watch.
Hiding and quietly observing i see the wolf they spoke of enter the den and i instantly reconize him , the brown fur, yellow eyes, heavy scar on his right ear it was no doubt one of THEM i wanted to yell out but they would never trust me , would they? i decided to take matters into my own hands and attack.
kates pov— i was sitting behind mom looking at dad talk to the mysterious wolf they had brought in when i see the pup creeping from the shadows , before i could tell mom about it he lunged at the brown mysterious wolf and bit into his neck while growling like a crazed wolf .
moments after the attack -
humphrey was still clamped down onto the wolfs neck not daring to let go untill he was positive he was dead , winston and the others did nothing to stop the fight but only watched in horror as a small injured pup managed to kill a large adult male wolf.
winston spoke with a low growl '' look boy i donk know what you problem is but you better start talking right now before you make me do something we will both regret''.
humphrey replied with a calm voice like it was an average monday for him '' look i didnt want to have to do that but i know that you would of not trusted me so i acted accordingly that wolf was a spy and a scout he was gathering information on this pack anh how do i know you might ask well he was the same wolf that visited my pack the night before we were all slaughterd without mercy, they kill men , women , children no one was safe i just so happend to escape during the chaos and as far as you well they would of crippled you then raped your wife to death infront of you and then your daughters would of had the same or a worse fate.'' as humphrey finished talking he was in tears trying to hold back his sobbing.
eve butted in with a mothers gentle voice while hugging the pup '' its ok sweetie i belive you speak the truth and we will not let that those horrible things happen''. winston walked bseide humphrey '' look im sorry for getting mad but im shure you can understand my reasoning for it , and with this new information you have given us we will prepare for the worst as if they sent one there will be more but for now i think its best if we all turned in for the rest of the night.''
the next day
winston was the first one up so he decided to get a meeting set up for preperations.
once hutch, claw, and james had arrived to the den winston woke up eve and humphrey tol join the meeting.
winston spoke up '' look i know normally we would not include a pup in a war meeting but he has faced trhe enemey and is our best hope at getting an upper hand with this so humphrey ill turn it over to you.''
humphrey almost too nervous to speak quietly spole '' those wolves…..they are vicious and ruthless ….th…they…are monsters in the night…i…i…(he takes a deep breat and steadies hi thoughts) look guy they are a formitable foe the have numbers well past a hundred and they all look to be alpha trained if not even stronger and they fight like crazed devils i watched just one take down three alphas , there is no reasoning with them they are thirsty for bloodshed and dezire destruction , and they hve very well thought out plans of attack and as my pack found out the hard way''. humphrey finished speaking tryng to hold back his emotions.
eve looked a humphrey and suggested ''hey we can take it from here , thank you for telling us this information , why dont you let kate show you around the pack it might do some good to get a bit of fresh air.''
with that being said humphrey took his leave and walked out of the den to leave the adults to talk.
humphreys pov - i didnt want to bother anyone so i decided to walk around by myself, it was a nice day out ,blure skys, birds chirping , and the pack seemed to be all around lively it makes my heart ach for my family and friends but thats all gone now. with them wanting to fight those evil monsters i want to stay and help but i dont want to be here for the death that follows war
