That first wave of Villains didn't have a clue what hit them. With the wind already howling Nanashi's Zan spells were almost too easy to throw around, sending opponents flying in all directions.

Dashing forward, he aims his gun (now loaded with rubber bullets) and starts hitting joints and soft spots. Hearing something coming from behind him, he easily slides to the side as Tokoyami's Dark Shadow lashes out, empowered in the lower lighting.

Dancing between the attacks of both enemies and allies while weaving in his own reminds Nanashi of the old days, and he starts falling into a groove as he keeps fighting. Said groove grinds to a halt however as he has to stop himself from decapitating one of the Villains.

Nanashi grimaces as he shifts a fatal blow to a knockout. Despite all the training, keeping things non-lethal is still a bit of a struggle for him. No matter how malevolent these people may be, they're still humans, and in this world that makes killing blows a last resort, not Plan A.

Taking a second to recenter himself, Nanashi dodges an attack before calling up a Demon.

"Asherah!"

As the Demon appears, she unleashes Judgment upon the gathered Villains, knocking them away and out of consciousness.

Nanashi turns to Tokoyami, "Let's go. The others might need help, and I've got a bad feeling about what's going down in the plaza."

Tokoyami nods, "Fate has truly brought us a mad banquet of darkness today."

Ignoring the, frankly, 3edgy5me worthy comment, Nanashi takes point and leads Tokoyami and Asherah out of the Typhoon Zone with little trouble. All that teleporting bullshit he'd dealt with back home had honed his sense of direction to a ludicrous degree.

Arriving in the plaza, Nanashi gives their immediate surroundings a quick survey to confirm their momentary safety before turning his eyes towards the plaza. Seeing the state Eraserhead is in, he immediately charges in.

The man is held in the clutches of a large bird-like monstrosity the Villains had brought with them, he's bleeding heavily from the head, his arms are shattered, and he seems to be unconscious.

Nanashi had fought zombies before, he's no stranger to the undead. Though he's never encountered one quite this strong, there's no mistaking what that bird monster is. The faint scent of Death, Nanashi's long-time friend, is the only proof he needs.

While running, Nanashi points out the monster's brain to Asherah as he grits out, "Grand Tack!"

The monster is quick to release Eraserhead as the projectile pierces its brain, a swift Zanma from Nanashi ensuring that the thing doesn't fall onto Eraser. Moving to stand protectively over his teacher, Nanashi stares the ringleader Villain down.

Now, over the course of his lives, Nanashi has developed what some would call 'paranoia', but he calls it Survival Instincts. When he had been asked to turn in his live rounds for training ammo, he had kept a magazine of the real deal. A part of his mind, the part that warned him of ambushes and the like, had told him he might need it.

Giving the Villain his best death glare that had made even Merkabah hesitate, his eyes glowing that same toxic shade of green, he swaps out his rubber bullets for live rounds.

The Villain, a young man with red eyes, messy cyan hair, and the world's driest lips screams in rage, "What the fuck did you do to my Nomu?!"

Nanashi's eyes narrow as he aims his gun at the thing's brain, "Shot it."

He fires a round into it to emphasize his point.

The Villain growls, "You bastard! You'll die for this!"

As the man comes running at him, Nanashi decides to take one of his kneecaps. It's quite satisfying as he falls to the ground, screaming in agony.

Sensing that the Nomu is rising again, Nanashi sidesteps a clumsy swing. Oh sure, the thing is fast, but its attacks are all very basic and sloppy. Besides, Nanashi had fought beings much faster, so his sense of speed was kinda ruined.

Before Nanashi can make another attack at the Nomu, ice crawls up its leg and encases half of its body. Turning, Nanashi sees Todoroki had joined the fray. Acknowledging him with a nod, Nanashi proceeds to put another bullet through the Nomu's brain.

Todoroki stares in shock as the Nomu collapses, the ice shattering under its weight, "Wha-"

Nanashi interrupts, his voice detached, "Give it a moment."

Right on cue, the Nomu's wounds begin healing before their eyes as it begins trying to stand again. Sensing a familiar presence approaching, Nanashi turns to find Hallelujah running up.

Nanashi's smirk falls back into place, "I was wondering when you'd show up. Come help me nuke this thing into oblivion. I'd do it myself, but it regenerates pretty well so I'm not sure if going solo will cut it."

Hallelujah gives the area a quick glance before his own smirk crops up, "You got it, Leader."

Nanashi turns to the other student present, "Hey Todoroki, feel like blasting this thing with your fire?"

Todoroki glares at him, "I will Never use fire in combat."

Nanashi hums, "Thought you'd say that," He puts another Bullet in the Nomu's brain as it tries to attack, "That means you get to handle Eraserhead and watch, since your ice won't be much use here."

Todoroki seems offended by that statement before he takes another look at Eraser's condition and decides to prioritize his life over anything petty.

Nanashi calls up a bit of wind to help Todoroki move Aizawa, "Find Asahi, she'll make sure he lives long enough to get to the hospital. I saw her at the top of the stairs tending to Thirteen."

Todoroki sets off without a word, leaving Nanashi and Hallelujah to clean up the Nomu problem, with Asherah's help of course.

Nanashi looks to Hallelujah, "I want to make sure this thing is DEAD, so I'll be putting a lot of energy into this. I trust you know what to do if I go out of commission?"

Hallelujah nods, frowning. He remembers the few times Nanashi had gone 'out of commission' before. He still has nightmares sometimes about Nanashi being covered in blood, near-lifeless in his arms.

Nanashi nods, "Good, let's do this."

One thing Nanashi had learned about the undead, almost all of them were weak to light or 'holy' based attacks. He had a few up his sleeve, but to really keep this thing down, he was about to unleash his most powerful. The problem was, his body couldn't really handle spells of that level yet, so casting one almost always knocked him the fuck out.

Here, that was a risk he was willing to take to ensure the enemy stayed down.

As Asherah gathers energy to cast Maragion and Hallelujah prepares for an Agidyne, Nanashi reaches deep within himself, pulling on as much of his energy as he possibly can, causing his eyes and markings to blaze with ethereal green fire.

In unison with the other two participants, he casts his spell.

"Maragion!" "Agidyne!" "Judgment Light!"

Fire and piercing light erupt, engulfing the Nomu and reducing it to mere ash. Asherah disappears soon after the light show, Nanashi no longer having the energy to keep her around.

Nanashi gives a victorious smirk, before falling, Hallelujah barely catching him. As his consciousness fades, Nanashi sees the Heroes arrive. Good, this can finally be over.

With that, Nanashi sinks into a comforting darkness.

A/N: Guess who! That's right, we finally have another chapter of Nanashi fucking around because he can! Now, I'd actually like to discuss some details from the chapter, or rather, I want to discuss Nanashi's spell choice. When I play SMTIV:A, I like to do pure magic builds, because I love magic. In any RPG where I have a choice, I always try to play a caster. The way I do that with Nanashi, is to give him the best single target attack skill of every element. However, you can't really do that with Light, Dark, and Almighty. For some YHVH damned reason, the severe damage single target skills for those elements, and those three elements only, are exclusive skills. Now, for Almighty this isn't as bad since there's no way to resist, null, etc. But for Light and Dark? That certainly provides a problem for my preferred play style. Hell, for Dark you can't even give Nanashi a severe damage skill! Best you can do is mudoon or mamudoon…

Now, did I just spend an entire Author's Note ranting about a relatively minor issue from a game that released in 2016? Yes. Will I apologize? No.

Anyway, see y'all around.
