Alright, guys, I'd like to welcome everyone back for another chapter of World of DxD this is chapter 6 and the first in what I think I'm going to be calling character profile chapters or something like that, these will be similar to my Ex chapters in Heir of Hyoudou as I will be kind of a break for the main storyline but where in my other story those chapters focus on a particular side sorry or almost slice of life event, these character chapters will be more so of a different character's point of view to read the recent events, events where our main character is not currently actually placed or flashback chapters to parts of that character's life where, we will learn more about them and why they act the way they do.

So without further ado let's begin at the first character chapter right now.

Running the brush through her Crimson hair, she watched as the purple paddle over the brush easily parted the individual strands of hair removing any dead ones and straightening those that would not conform to the way the brush wished to push her hair,

Just a few weeks had passed since she and her brothers' knight travelled to the northern regions of Europe in the mortal realm upon hearing rumours about the church's experiments on children.

She was taken aback when her older brother revealed that she couldn't actively oppose the church and their experiment, and he honestly advised her against going at all. The only reason he accompanied her on brothers' night was to ensure her safety, as she insisted on going alone.

Rias was aware that her actions went against her family's rules and desires, but her defiance ultimately saved a young boy's life in the snow and led her to confront the priests and researchers of the project. And the one in white armour.

She was unaware of his identity, but she witnessed a man skillfully defeating his enemies by utilizing all features of his armor, even decapitating them with his wings.

The woman should have been frightened, yet she didn't detect any malicious intent from the man towards her. It seemed he was not capable of overpowering her brothers knight, especially if he attempted to harm her.

She grimaced as she sensed her hair being gently tugged while the brush untangled a knot that formed while she slept. Glancing back at the mirror in front of her, she continued to brush through her hair.

"Akeno" she said looking at her first servant as she could only chuckle at the response the her master had given her.

She apologized and set the brush on the table before gently arranging her master's hair over the young girl's semi-formal dress, expressing her regret for her previous statement.

She anticipated this day with dread, knowing it marked the moment her future would be determined by an arranged marriage, likely to an older suitor chosen for the benefit of their families. As a renowned beauty in the underworld, she understood her romantic life would be dictated by political alliances rather than genuine affection.

While contemplating the situation, she found herself clenching her fists at the mere thought of her parents arranging her marriage at the tender age of 13. Despite being considered a child in the human realm, in the underworld, she was deemed old enough to be engaged, a fact that troubled her deeply.

She was aware that she did not desire it, however, under the peerage system established by Beelzebub, the husband or the groom had the authority to engage in intimate relations with his wife's servants at his discretion

Not only was her fate being determined, but also the fate of her best friends, and any other female members she may include in her peerage later on was being decided by the signing.

As she sat there lost in her thoughts, they were abruptly interrupted by a knock on the door. Soon after, a young boy, around 3 years old, with vibrant crimson hair entered the room, wearing a small smile on his face.

The young boy called out "Auntie" as he hurried over to the chair where his red-haired aunt was seated, beckoning her to look at him. She responded with a smile, acknowledging her young nephew.

With great enthusiasm, she called out "Millicas" and gently lifted the little boy, settling him on her lap. Her gaze remained fixed on him, observing his every move through the mirror's reflection.

The young boy entered the room with excitement, announcing his arrival to his aunt, father, and mother, expressing his eagerness to spend the day with his grandmother. Shortly after, a young lady with silver hair joined them.

The woman reminded Millicas about the importance of knocking and waiting for a response before entering, as she greeted his sister-in-law and then smiled at the girl with raven hair who was brushing her hair.

Rias greeted Greyfia with a warm hello and playfully tickled the small boy on her lap, making him giggle.

It is not uncommon to observe a significant age difference between sets of siblings, attributed to the low birth rate of the devil. In certain instances, siblings may have up to 70 years between them, with the older sibling already having children before the younger one is even conceived.

The age gap between her brother, who was at least 150 years old, herself at 13, and his son at 3, was unusually large even for devils. Despite this, her brother played a significant role in the civil war and restructuring of devil society during her birth.

She recalled the moment her parents informed her about her sister-in-law's involvement with the old Satan faction, which led to her brother's surprise during a battle. However, she ultimately chose love over duty, abandoning her previous allegiances and forming new ones in the process.

The love story they shared resembled a modern-day Romeo and Juliet tale, which many young female devils yearned for to experience themselves. Even Rias had fantasized about it, but it appeared to be nothing more than a mere dream.

Scene break

The blonde man acknowledged, "It seems we are in accord," while observing his crimson-haired companion setting down the tea provided by a servant of the Gremory household.

Lord Gremory smiled at the blonde-headed man sitting across from him as he stated, "It seems that my daughter, who is the heir of my clan, will marry your third son, Riser Phenix. And when the time comes, their firstborn child will inherit my clan after my daughter."

Venelana, the current matriarch of the Phoenix clan, sighed quietly as she listened to the finalization of the agreement between her husband and the Lord. As the bastard daughter of the previous lord, she sat there quietly, ironing out the small details of the agreement.

While she sat and listened to the conversation between the two men, she was pleasantly surprised when one of them mentioned the idea of a release clause for his daughter in case she didn't want to proceed with the marriage.

Lord Gremory expressed his desire to have a conversation about the future of their children if they choose not to marry each other soon, causing the phoenix to react with curiosity.

In the event that one of our children does not want to marry the other, I propose that they settle the matter through a rating game battle, with the winner having the final say on the marriage arrangement.

This method allows both parties to demonstrate their strength without asserting dominance over each other, avoiding any potential embarrassment that could arise from abruptly ending the engagement without any evidence of worthiness presented to the public eye.

Lord Phoenix expressed his agreement with the proposal, but raised concerns about the potential consequences of implementing certain clauses. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that no clan is unfairly disadvantaged in the rating game, and suggested that appropriate compensation should be provided to the losing clan. His grammar counterpart acknowledged this point and agreed with him.

The completion of the contract was abruptly halted by the sound of the door opening, revealing a tall young man with vibrant crimson hair.

"Lord Lucifer," Lord Phoenix greeted as he rose from his seat and approached his king, who had just entered and closed the door behind him

Lucifer reassured Lord Phoenix that he was not present as a king, but as a caring older brother, ensuring both parties were content with the proposal without feeling pressured. He took a seat next to his mother.

He greeted his mother in a hushed tone, and she responded with a smile, gently placing her hand on his shoulder before returning the smile.

The young man with blonde hair expressed his desire to meet his future bride now, stating that everything was in order, while his father looked at him disapprovingly.

Lord Phoenix advised his son not to rush, mentioning the devil king's influence and the presence of his future in-laws. He then lightly punched his son, causing him to react before feeling frustrated by his father's actions and words.

Riser Phoenix expressed his regret and desire to meet his future bride soon, while Rias' father nodded in agreement, and I could hear the big brown doors opening behind him.

He turned around and was pleasantly taken aback as their gazes locked, meeting the future heir of the grammar and clan. Her eyes were a striking shade of blue, while her long crimson red hair cascaded gracefully down her back. She was dressed in a modest 19th-century Princess gown, a beautiful blend of Gremory Crimson and phoenix yellow embroidery adorning the sides

As she gazed at the group before her, a distinct expression of dissatisfaction and disappointment was evident on her face while she observed the individuals seated at the table.

Walking in behind her sister-in-law with silver hair, the woman and her nephew made their way to their seats. Her husband followed closely behind, while her sister-in-law quickly made her way to the end of the table. Once there, she politely bowed towards Lord Phoenix, who eagerly looked at her mischievously

Despite being just 13 years old, Rias' future spouse was 17 years old and had reportedly taken on a few females to his peerage. Rumors suggested that he had already been intimate with his queen, the 18-year-old Yuuberluna.

The single factor alone caused her to form negative opinions about the young man, believing that a young girl should not lose her virtue to someone the law prohibits. Some may call it a pipe dream, but a girl can only hope.

While she kept bowing, she sensed the intense stare of the unkempt young man on her face, then on her concealed yet well-defined breasts snugly encased in the dress.

In the realm of humans, such behavior may be considered strange or even criminal in certain countries, but in the underworld, it was not unusual for girls to mature at a faster rate than their human counterparts. However, Rias was an exception to this trend.

Despite being the illegitimate daughter of the former head of the Beal clan, her mother inherited their high beauty standards, which were highly regarded among devils. Additionally, the charm and beauty standards of the Gremory clan further enhanced her eligibility, making her one of the most sought-after individuals even at a young age.

She broke the uncomfortable silence by greeting everyone with a pleasant "Good evening."

She greeted him warmly, expressing her pleasure at meeting him, as she turned towards him while he rose from his chair and approached her.

Rias couldn't help but conceal the expression on her face as she held her hand and kissed the top of it, following his gesture towards her.

Observing him as he abruptly halted in his tracks, she found herself pondering the thoughts racing through his mind, including the potential negative scenarios swirling around them.

The young man standing before her possessed a strong presence, a force to be reckoned with, and she knew that marrying him would elevate her status within the underworld, bringing her closer to the current Lucifer.

Lord Phoenix remarked on the significant change that occurred when they finally met, while Rias' father silently concurred. The two young devils strolled through the castle grounds, with Grayfia keeping a watchful eye on her sister-in-law to ensure the young phoenix didn't make any foolish moves.

Observing the departure of the trio, Lord Phoenix rose from his seat and bid farewell to the four adults present in the room. He mentioned that his daughter had plans for the afternoon, and as a father, he couldn't refuse the wishes of an 11-year-old girl. With that, he excused himself and took his leave.

As the flames vanished and Lord Phoenix exited the room, the elder of the gremory siblings immediately shifted his attention to his father, openly expressing his disapproval in a calm and collected manner.

Sirzech expressed disbelief towards his father, stating that he couldn't possibly be serious, especially coming from him.

There was little distinction in appearance between the two individuals. He closely resembled his father, almost like a reflection, with only minor variations such as a goatee. The most noticeable contrast was that his father appeared to be in his early 30s, while he seemed to be in his early 20s, creating the only noticeable age gap.

Indeed, Sirzech greatly surpassed his father's power, ranking among the top ten beings in existence alongside his best friend , who even surpassed gods like Hades and Amun-Ra. This made him a formidable force, intimidating those who stood above him in the hierarchy of power

The father advised his son to wait a few years until all suitable suitors have been taken, emphasizing the importance of his sister's role in continuing the family line. The son, feeling conflicted, averted his gaze in contemplation.

Milicals can replace her, as she desires love over duty, and my son can inherit his rightful place if I hadn't assumed the role of Lucifer.

The father acknowledged the truth but emphasized that a grandson cannot surpass a legitimate child of the current clan leader, even if the child is the heir who unexpectedly took on responsibilities from birth. As the sun set, he accepted defeat, unable to intervene with his title as Lucifer without appearing to manipulate his family for personal gain.

He reluctantly agreed, deciding to end the discussion to avoid provoking further anger.

Scene break.

Rias flopped onto her bed, consumed by frustration, feeling as though her parents had betrayed her by marrying her off to a man who only valued her for her family name and status as a Gremory.

She was aware that this was incorrect, however, few women in the underworld had their lives predetermined for generations before they were even born.

As she sat there, she observed her closest friend entering the room with a tray of food in hand. Akeno couldn't help but chuckle as she noticed her Master looking somewhat distressed.

She reassured her, "Do not fret, you will discover a solution to escape this situation," as she placed the tray on the reflective surface of the table, where she had completed her graduate studies just a short while ago.

She expressed her defeat, admitting that she knew about his battle experience and the fact that he was four years older than her, making him more experienced. She also mentioned that he had already formed a peerage, while all she had was the person she was talking to. As she spoke, she picked up the spoon and dipped it into her soup.

Akeno pointed out that currently, the speaker only had her as a companion. However, if they managed to persuade the young one they recently rescued to join them, they would have two companions, which is better than having none. Akeno smiled, and her best friend couldn't help but chuckle in response to her clever remark.

Rias acknowledged the situation but felt helpless in aiding the survivor, who remained silent and stared at them with fear, making her wonder how to snap the survivor out of her shock and gain her trust.

Akeno reassured her best friend, telling her to figure it out without worrying, as it seemed like a problem for tomorrow. They both shared a laugh.

Scene break,

From the depths of the darkness, a chilling voice emerged, declaring the failure of your project. Perched upon a lofty chair, the figure cast an eerie silhouette against the faint glow filtering through a tiny circular window at the pinnacle of the edifice. A foreboding voice resonated through the air, announcing the downfall of your project. Seated upon a towering chair in the shadows, the speaker was illuminated solely by a dim light seeping in from a small round window at the highest point of the structure.

The lot that did manage to make its way through to illuminate a small portion of the room where he made all his subjects kneel in front of him, an old overweight balding man,

The once pristine church garments he used to wear were now ragged and torn, giving them a gothic look that starkly contrasted their former sacredness and purity.

The man explained that despite some escaping and others being killed, the project was successful in extracting holy energy from the corpses to create various James that could potentially become artificial holy sword users. He noticed a wicked grin forming on the pale-faced man as he spoke.

he man expressed doubt in Valpher's judgment, warning him of potential consequences as he sat on his throne, preparing for what lay ahead.

The man assuredly expressed his anticipation, affirming that it would indeed be beneficial. He continued to tidy his attire, removing the dust, and then departed through the door at the hallway's end. This left the man on his throne contemplating the forthcoming events, causing him to feel a sense of unease
