Luckily, the very next day, there was an announcement that would make this school life of mine a little more interesting.

But first, I had to get up earlier than yesterday. I forgot to pack all my stuff for school last night, so I have to do it right now, barely before I'm supposed to go.

Ugh... well, at least I know for next time.

Mrs. Marcovaldo must've noticed the same, because she knocked on my door.

"Luca, have you woken up?"

"Oh, yeah, I have; I already packed my stuff," I answered her.

"Good, because you have to hurry!" she said.

I didn't even have much time to eat the sandwich she had prepared for me for breakfast.

"Thank you for the sandwich," I said, though, with my mouth full.

"No talking with your mouth full," Mrs. Marcovaldo scolded me for a second. I nodded.

I couldn't hold on for any longer. And besides, Giulia was already waiting for me at the doorstep.

Most of the day at school was about as boring as yesterday.

Okay, we read some intriguing passage on Italian class, but that's it.

But Mrs. Bonucci came with an announcement.

"Good morning, Mrs. Bonucci," the class shouted again. And I did it with them, too.

"Good morning, class," Mrs. Bonucci greeted us back. "I have a special announcement to make today."

Some of us got excited, some of us got worried. I waited for the, uh, "right" reaction until she said what it was.

"Two weeks from now, we will be making a trip to the Genoa city museum."

And apparently, the whole class was thrilled to hear this.

If I got their whispers right, Giorgio and his buddies also wanted to see it one day.

"I have already been there once with mom," Giulia whispered to me, clearly being so happy about this. "Don't worry, I'll help you through it when we get there."

Well, I guess I'll be going to the museum in two weeks. I hope it'll be fun.

Better already get prepared for that now, just in case.

"Hey, mom, guess what?" Giulia loudly asked her mom while she was passing the doorstep.

"Hi, honey. You're back from school this early?" Mrs. Marcovaldo said, being a little confused.

"Uh... yes. Anyway, we'll be going to that museum that you and I visited that one time!"

"Really?" There was suddenly wonder in Mrs. Marcovaldo's eyes. "That's great news! You can run Luca through it all."

"Easy, mom," Giulia tried to reason with her. "Only once have I even been there; I forgot most of it."

"Of course," Mrs. Marcovaldo calmed down. Then, she turned to me. "You do know where that is, don't you, Luca?"

I don't.

"Eh, I'll just follow the class' footsteps," I told her.

Giulia sighed.

"I understand," Mrs. Marcovaldo said. "You've still only just come here. You'll need some time to adapt."

That what she said has reminded me.

"Yes. Uh, now that you said that, I should go do my homework."

Which there was more of than yesterday.

Uh...

Of course the game show schedule is what I remembered.

Tonight's episode of it was also fun.

Giulia and her mom were having so much fun guessing the answers. They got about a lot of them right.

Oh, yes, I'll definitely stick to that game show.

Well, the game show is over, we've had dinner...

And I just packed my stuff for tomorrow.

I'll be able to sleep for 15 more minutes tomorrow morning.

After which I'm back at the same routine.

I guess I'll just have to endure the next two weeks, somehow...
