All the Stars dance on Etheria
A few hours earlier, before the words of the oath were spoken in Brightmoon far away, in the Singing Jungle, in the deserted, desolate hills, in a place where so much blood had recently been shed, evil was awakening. Ancient and terrible, dating back to times older than the kingdom of Etheria, older than the Civilization of First Ones, and even older than the stars themselves! The spilled blood has power, just like death on the battlefield... This power did not dissolve into the Winds of Magic blowing across the universe, but fed the creature resting in the stone standing in the middle of the battlefield. It was fed but did not satisfy, only stimulated hunger, which turned into Anger. It wasn't the blood of those he was promised. He was to receive a SACRIFICE. He would consume not only their blood, but also their souls, to digest them for Eons... But it was taken from him! He was deprived of what was promised to him! Such betrayal cannot be accepted! Anger and Hunger caused them to reach through time and space to a place called Etheria. He found that it was much easier than it should have been, this place had returned to the Material Plane. He drew power from the blood of the victims of the battle and poured his essence into the statue. The stone began to crumble, revealing a shape far more monstrous than anything the artists who carved the statue could have imagined. He spread his webbed wings and let out a piercing howl that cracked the rocks, and then he soared into the air, flying towards Brightmoon. His victims would not escape him, and perhaps in the process he would devour countless numbers of beings... However, he knew that this would not satisfy him. Nothing can do that.
Rosie found Brightmoon even more beautiful than last time. She lived at Absalom Station, so the crowds didn't scare her. In fact, there was a surprising order. Much stricter than most of the festivals and holidays she had attended on the space station. However, there were no crowds of guards enforcing the law, the residents themselves knew how they should behave. They didn't litter, they didn't get too drunk to stand up, they didn't start fights, or at least she didn't see anything like that, although the night was still young, anything could happen. It was very fun. Many types of music were played here, from electronic to harps and drums. They had to drag Lilka away from the latter because she wanted to show the musicians real orc rhythms. Of course, she didn't hear what they were playing, but she was able to enjoy certain types of music sensing it's rhythm. There was a lot of food sold here, not the unhealthy junk food usually served at this type of event, but fresh and healthy delicacies. Most of them did not contain meat, so Alatar had to search around before finding something for himself. Eti will definitely complain, she loved meat and hated sweets, and there were plenty of the latter here too. She especially liked the homemade gingerbread and tartlets . There were a lot of Piñatas here , and they had to drag Lilka away from them, because she wanted to open them with her ax, and that seemed to defeat the purpose. There were also many games and activities. Shooting and throwing at targets, Lilka was again disconsolate because she was not allowed to throw an axe. Alatar, however, had great aim and won for Lilka the rag scorpion, she chose it herself, surprising everyone. There were also people who painted their faces and bodies, because this time the girl did something unexpected, she showed them how to draw real orcish tribal markings, and according to what Itel said, they were really orcish, identical to those worn by Warog, the orc who helped save them there on Kesler when they were fleeing the Hive invasion. The red-haired girl had started to change since they arrived on this planet. She was no longer as loud and belligerent as if she wanted to show the whole world that she couldn't beat her. But it was the same for all of them. Was it the planet that had this effect on them, or was it because of the events of the last few days? She couldn't answer that. She also felt that she had changed. She felt like she was finally where she was supposed to be. It wasn't that she had found home, but rather the place she had been looking for all her life... Was she looking for it? Suddenly she felt cold sweat break out on her. It was true! This is where she was supposed to be from the very beginning! But how! After all, no one knew what Etheria was. A few years ago, no one even realized this planet existed. Its inhabitants were trapped in another plane... It happened thousands of years ago, and she was only found a few years ago, and before that she had been adrift for hundreds of years... Or at least that's what she was told... What if it wasn't hundreds, but thousands of years. What if she ended up in this capsule back when Etheria was in the material world and the First Ones ruled the galaxy. Who was she then? Was she one of them, like Adora? Is that why she had this power? Did all First Ones have it? She guess not... From what Kyle said , Adora was a normal girl, at most extremely fit. It was thanks to the sword that she became so powerful, and meanwhile she... She could fight like no one else, jump high, and even almost fly... And she glowed, you couldn't forget about that. But it is not everything. She was capable of much more when threatened. But then she lost her memory... And she did terrible things... This had never happened to her before ... but had she really? She didn't remember her past. Where she came from, who she once was and even her real name. She was a blank slate… She was less than a shadow. She felt tears welling up in her eyes. She sat up, trying to stop crying. She felt so alone.
Then a live report from the Royal Wedding appeared on the big screen. Not knowing what else to do with herself, she started watching the ceremony. The queen was very pretty and even radiant. She was relieved to see that there was no trace of her punch on her pleasant face. Then, in the palace, during the break-in, she was afraid that she might have killed her, she didn't know what she would do then. Then, after Glimmer had kissed her husband very passionately, it was time for her friend's sister and her fiancée. They looked very beautiful. Catra was lead by her father. She knew he was a very bad man, but when he was Carrying of his daughter like that, she thought they looked like a real family. But Catra was an orphan for almost the entire time, raised by the military and Miss Daisy, that mean, by the Shadow Weaver... If she can find her family, maybe they will be able to find their loved ones too. When the oath was spoken, the crowd began to cheer and applaud. She joined in the applause, feeling as if she was sharing the happiness with everyone present. And then the fun started in full swing. She felt loud music playing and the guests scattering to places where they could dance. For a moment she wanted to follow them herself, but she had no one to go with, and they had tasks and such. But she still looked longingly at the couples going out to play. Then suddenly she felt a gentle touch on the back of her neck. She felt a chill because she knew who it was. She turned and saw Eti. The cat girl was in her usual outfit, covering her face and eyes. They agreed that she would dress so as not to attract too many glances because of her resemblance to her sister.
"Hey Sparklepaw, will you come dancing with me?" said Eti. She felt her heart start beating faster. Would she dance with Eti? But their mission and all!
"But Eti... We have a task... "she said, but then the scout wagged her tail angrily and said.
"The mission can wait. We have more important things... We are more important." the cat-like girl grabbed her hands and led her to one of the dance halls. She felt that the music they played there was calmer, and so was the dancing performed there. Everything was hidden there in the twilight. The dim light made the atmosphere in this place particularly atmospheric. She could smell the faint scent of chocolate and cherries here. As they entered, Eti stopped and picked up her coat and mask, then handed it to the cloakroom attendant, who was staring at her with bulging eyes. Underneath her normal outfit, she wore a brown-green tailcoat with numerous metal decorations depicting some flowers.
"These are Sinistie from Atrax, the first living plants I saw..." she said and turned to the cloakroom attendant. "If you don't have my coat, I'll do something painfully to you." She looked at him menacingly, and he swallowed loudly and shook his head.
"Is what we are doing wise?" she asked her friend.
"No" Eti said briefly and dragged her to the dance floor. She didn't resist, in fact she wanted it very much, but it was very unreasonable! After all, everyone will see what Eti looks like and start wondering why she looks so similar to the Grand Marshal, especially since everyone recently had a chance to take a closer look at her. This could ruin the mission and... she found she didn't care at all. She really wanted to be here with Eti. Dance with her and… do other things… Like kiss her….
When they stood on the dance floor, they started dancing. Eti was leding. She was surprisingly good, although Rosie herself did not have enough experience in this matter, and the dance did not seem difficult. The scout didn't take off her glove, obviously not wanting to show her mutilated hand. She took off her gloves herself, she doesn't need them to talk to the cat girl anyway. The other metal hand was surprisingly warm to the touch and slightly electric to the touch, or maybe that was what she imagined? She felt Eti's breathing and stared into her sad and beautiful cat eyes. She was all very beautiful. She had never felt like this before, her heart was beating fast, her blood was pulsing, she felt hot. Was she sick? Some Etherian flu or something? Or maybe she was poisoned by something? Although she was unable to swallow anything due to her nerves before the mission. No, it was something completely different. In that one wonderful moment she realized that she loved Eti. She had never loved anyone before, or at least she didn't remember it, but that didn't matter now. Nothing mattered when she could be close to Eti. The cat girl also blushed, albeit slightly, and purred. The cat girl's entire body was trembling, hers too. She looked into those wonderful two-colored eyes and, without thinking about any consequences, she grabbed Eti by the neck and kissed her. The cat girl was surprised at first , but then she kissed him back. In that one moment, Rosie was the happiest being on Etheria .
Itel felt bitter watching Rosie and Eti kiss. She didn't expect that the deaf girl would be the one to initiate the kiss first, she seemed so innocent. On the other hand, Eti, contrary to what one might think, was very shy and secretive. She simply hid her emotions behind the mask of a scary cat girl, an assassin from the movies or a disturbing freak with a gun. For a moment she thought that Rosie had seduced Eti, pretending to be an innocent girl. Just a few days ago she would have clung to that thought and the hope within it, but not now. She accepted the loss, although her heart still hurt, as if someone had stuck glass shards stuck in it with salt and sulfur. Will this torment ever end? True to Shadow Weaver's words, but was she a person who had ever loved anyone? From what everyone said, she had always been a mean and selfish person, could someone so mean give others any love?
First, she was looking for Eti to protect her for getting lost somewhere and thus jeopardizing the mission. She had to leave Alatar and Lilka alone, even though the red-haired girl was strangely aroused today. She knew it would spell trouble, but letting Eti go would guarantee it. And then she saw the wedding broadcast on the big screens. He was there. She had never seen it in person, but she had watched it many times in different videos. It was he, the one who betrayed the people of Tarak and bombed his own planet, murdering millions. He led his daughter like nothing had happened, like a good, loving parent. Have they really not seen what a monster they let under their roof? How could they be so joyful? Did their naivety and ignorance know no bounds? For her it was unthinkable. But... Antares was a skillful manipulator, and the locals may have won a war against a mad tyrant like Horde Prime, but they did not know of such evil as Lord Admiral Felix Antares .
As she watched the two girls kiss, she made a decision . To the Abyss with the plans of the General's companion and to Hell with the rescue of Captain Blazebringer, none of it mattered to her now. She realized that she had only ever wanted one thing. Revenge, and there was only one way to get it.
They danced their old dance together, which they learned in the Fright Zone. One day, Shadow Weaver decided to teach them a bit of culture. They didn't know how the Dark Sorceress had managed to convince Hordak to let her engage in such a ridiculous activity. They assumed that she simply hid it from him or convinced him that it was just martial arts training. It turned out that Horde Prime taught his clones how to dance and even sing songs praising him in a choir. In a way, it was a very dark truth. Of course, he and Catra always danced together, which annoyed Shadow Weaver, but she didn't give up and pushed them so hard that Kyle once danced with Scarlet for two hours, even though she broke her ankle. Scarlet… Supposedly she was now a Sorceress and Lonnie's right-hand woman. Did she find time to dance while participating in their Rebellion?
Then the music slowed down and they danced together, hugging each other. They felt warm and good, she felt so happy. Bow and Glimmer were also beaming with joy. Given that the Queen can't drink alcohol right now, she'll want to have some fun in another way. Bow's has a very busy wedding night ahead of him. Her too, but they could have started earlier. Thanks to Melog, they could easily sneak away to get some love. However, one thing prevented her from fully enjoying her happiness. When they said the oath, a fiery red woman approached her father -in-law and started telling him something , pointing to the horizon. The Lord Admiral looked distressed and looked in the direction the woman had been pointing. Then he called Lady Ka to him and gave her some instructions, and then his Left Better Hand went somewhere and came back after a long time. Everything seemed to be back to normal, but four new guards appeared in the dance hall.
"Hey, Adora! Do you even have to worry on a day like this!" Catra said, smiling cockily. She smiled in response and kissed her wife… And then the Alarm sounded…
Calamity was glad that this bestiality farce called a wedding was over. Although when that idiot Adora let the fucking horse lead her to the wedding, she almost burst out laughing. Maybe it would be worth taking this mutant gelding to the glue factory? Unfortunately, that was all she had fun with. Now she had to endure the babbling of that idiot Klementyna. Her damned chatter gave her a headache. She swore that one day she would hang her prepared tongue around her neck. Unless she broke their neck first, which she really wanted to do.
"I'm so glad we're here together. You saw this ceremony yourself. On Etheria, we have stopped thinking about gods for too long. Most don't even remember them anymore. Yet faith is very strong throughout the galaxy. Just talk to our new guests... Or to you. Thanks to you, true faith will return to Etheria." said General's Juliette daughter. There was something strange in her eyes, she was probably high on something.
"In fact, thanks to me you will know what true divinity is."she said, although she doubted that what he was going to show her was what the girl dreamed of. Well, Calamity was a dream come true for many, but not necessarily in the way they wanted it to be. Her adoptive parents found this out belatedly, as did Shadow Weaver.
"Do you know that you are very beautiful?" Klementine asked , gently touching her cheek. She looked at the girl with confusion.
"Of course I know... A lot of effort was put into making me look absolutely perfect." she explained to the girl, trying to hide the irritation in her voice. Does he really have to explain obvious things like to a small child? However, the girl became sad, but continued to stare at her in this strange way. It took her a moment to realize that Klementine was in love with her. This unnerved her a bit. She had never practiced the art of seduction and pretending to love. Shadow Weaver herself had bluntly told her that she had absolutely no knowledge of such matters, although as it later turned out, she was not entirely green in this matter, as evidenced by the broken heart of a certain Hellknight. But for now, Klementine expected something from her. She had to do something, because the girl was still very useful. She reached for the simplest solution and leaned over her. The General's daughter kissed her. It was surprisingly pleasant, she expected a wave of irresistible disgust to wash over her, as if she had touched something disgusting with her mouth , but her body was to some extent human, it had its own needs. Maybe this girl can provide her with something other than just screaming in agony.
"You're very beautiful too." she said, not really lying. The girl had symmetrical facial features with typical elven beauty. Of course, she was ugly compared to her, but there was no point in comparing mortals with perfection incarnate. General Juliette scowled at them. She didn't dance because she wasn't officially in a relationship with Onyx Sky, and at the same time she didn't want to dance with someone else so as not to offend them. She and Klementine dance for fifteen minutes, but then she felt something, a great power approaching. This worried her. Power always meant trouble, especially like this. She felt connected to her in some way. They were related, which meant that this being came from the cold and dark void that stretched between the stars. She searched her memory, but couldn't remember anything Shadow Weaver had told her that would indicate the presence of a similar creature on Etheria, although she had her suspicions.
Without a word of explanation, she left Klementine and went outside. She looked at the moon-filled horizon, but nothing she didn't see him there, but the power was still getting closer.
"Can you feel it too?" she heard a strong female voice. She turned around and saw a woman with fiery red hair. It was Lady Sorrowflame. She had heard something about this creature and now she realized that it was all true, albeit greatly diminished. Lady Sorrowflame was not human, or even mortal. There were layers of power hidden within it. The first was repulsive, disliked by most of her kind. She was an undead, and one of the most powerful. She felt hunger and thirst for blood, so she was either a vampire or perhaps a ghoul, but there was something else there. Something much older and more primal. She was like destruction itself walking on the earth. She was a dragon, and an extremely powerful one at that. Powerful beyond all imagination.
"Yes, I sense trouble coming... If the fight breaks out, I advise you to stay away from She- Ra. Her light doesn't work well on people like you... People like us..." She smiled at Lady Sorrowflame , and then there was a deafening boom of an alarm.
The ceremony was so beautiful! He felt love floating in the air, he could absorb it with every breath. Something like this was worth getting married for... Well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but if she were to get married, she would want it to be like this... Although though she wasn't a princess and would have to settle for something much more modest. She also had no relatives, and was only friends with princesses, and would he be willing to come to an ordinary girl's wedding, even if she was their friend? Catra's dad looked like a real warrior with that scary metal eye. He also had many soldiers that looked even compared to the Clones. I wonder if they would help her get her kingdom back... No, that's a terrible idea. Who normal would fight with their subjects?!
But now there was no time for such considerations or for fun, although it seemed to be very fun. Adora assigned her an extremely important task. She was supposed to find a certain seller of exotic Tea. She didn't say why they were so important, but Adora asked her to find them and notify the guards. She was accompanied by Swiftwind and Shogi in the form of a goat. She mounted her friend and made her way through the happy crowds. She could barely hear Swiftwind humming the song Catra and Adora sang at their wedding. They wandered like this for an hour until they finally reached Swiftwind he exclaimed .
"There are!" Aricorn pointed with his horn at a couple of people standing next to a cart from which they were selling some steaming drink. She sucked in a sharp breath. One of them was a red-haired girl with tattoos and a strange outfit with lots of name tags. A blue fox was flying around her. But the most unusual thing was the third person. She had seen someone like that before in pictures in fairy tale books. It was a dragon! Quite small for a dragon, but still a dragon! She forgot about Adora's order and immediately drove to him. A red-haired girl ran past her with a loud cry of "Horsee!"
"You are a Dragon... A True Dragon!" She exclaimed with delight, and the Dragon sighed heavily.
"This is the thirty-sixth time today that I am explaining that I am not a dragon, but a Dragonkin. Dragons are much bigger and more... Dragon-like in every way... Would you like a drink?" He asked with a bit of impatience in his voice.
"Oh... It's a pity..." she said, not hiding her disappointment.
"You're invading my personal space, and by the way, don't call me a horsy!" Swiftwind said to the redhead who was hugging him tightly. She frowned, got off the Shogi and walked up to the girl, then put her hand on her shoulder and said in a sharp tone.
"Leave my friend, you stupid girl!"
The redhead turned to her abruptly.
"Who are you calling stupid? You Stupid!" she pulled out a huge ax from behind her back.
"You are dumbest! You don't even know that guests are not allowed to carry weapons to the party!" she asked sarcastically .
"It's not a weapon, just an element of orc culture that I can wear whenever I want. Who are you to forbid me from doing anything? - said the red-haired girl, shaking her ax menacingly.
"I'm a prin ... I'm Frosta and I'm a security guard here, so I can absolutely forbid you to do this!" she shouted at the girl. "and I have absolutely no idea what Orks means!" she added.
"Because you're a stupid idiot, Frosta! An orc is someone like Lady Huntara or me!" the redhead screamed in an angry voice. At this time, the dragon approached them and spoke in a conciliatory tone.
"Girls, maybe instead of calling each other insults, we should talk, because everything will escalate and we will all do something we will regret. -his voice was gentle and calm.
"Yes, I agree with Mr. Alatar . With a cup of tea, everything seems to be right." Swiftwind started , but she didn't listen to him.
"You are stupid! Huntara is not an orc and you are nothing like her!" she screamed. She summoned ice gloves. How dare this girl call her ignorant! She was always the best at the box office. Maybe the only one, but also the best! The redhead's face turned red and her ax caught fire.
"How dare you insult the honor of a true orc warrior! You insulted not only me, but also my clan and all the orcs! I challenge you to a duel on the beaten track!" she screamed.
"All right! Here and now, when I punch your stupid face, don't cry because it hurts!" she lost patience. Nobody respected her! First the Horde Ultimate, then the Chancellor, and now this stupid girl. She was about to fence the battle area with an ice ring when someone shouted at them.
"Lilka! Alatar! Oh, it's so good to see you."
She looked over and saw a burgundy-haired woman. She ran up to them and hugged them one by one, and then she started screaming.
"What were you thinking! Where were you! -Where are Eti and Itel! Listen, Miss Daisy is not who she seems! This is..." she didn't finish because the red-haired woman, whose name was probably Lilka, interrupted.
"Yes, we know her name is Shadow Weaver and she raised Eti's sister and now Lonnie and I are on a very secret mission, but we are not allowed to tell anyone about it."
Alatar looked resignedly at the sky, and she stared at them in bewilderment. "Shadow Weaver is here? But how!" she thought, but before she could ask a question, the Alarm sounded.
