Chapter 53: World's Destruction

Wendy looked up at the sky. "Look up there!" Everyone looked to see what she was pointing at.

"Is that a crack in the sky?" Eve asked.

The crack got bigger. "It's getting bigger..." Hibiki yelled with tension in his eyes.

"This can't be...Acnologia..." Jessica whimpered in fear.

A massive black arm punched through the hole. "No...way..." Erza exclaimed.

Rena looked up in fear. "That's Acnologia..."

"I'm overflowing with power...it feels like I mastered the art of dragons...I was king before but now I became a god!" Acnologia emerged from the crack in the sky. "THIS WORLD IS MY TO CONSUME!"

Wendy was shivering in fear. "This can't be..."

"Did he consume the Time Rife?" Jellal asked.

Acnologia heard him. "Yes, I wield the power of time, this magic can't be controlled...I WILL ERASE THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!" Several blue lights appeared in midair. "ENTERAL FLARE!" Countless blue beams of magic energy fired down.

"Everyone move out of the way!" Erza ordered.

Many took cover while a few were sent flying away.

Magnolia also took several blows from the magic released by Acnologia, who flew toward the town sending more of Eternal Magic flares at the buildings.

Erza fell into the ocean seemingly losing consciousness. "Is this how it ends..." She refused to back down and flipped her body over. "No..." She swam back up to the surface. "I can't let our future be taken from us!" She re-surfaced and was blown in the air by nearby shockwaves. "Everyone don't give up!"

"Wendy!" Jellal pointed in the air.

"No...please..." Wendy felt her body being zapped. "Now the final step of dragon slaying begins!"

"What does he mean by that?" Erza asked frighteningly.

"I will pull her into my temporary realm!" Acnologia proclaimed.

Acnologia used the eternal magic once more draining Wendy's body until she was gone.

Laxus and Gajeel felt their body was pulling them. "Something is pulling me!"

Jimbei was stunned by what he was seeing. "Gajeel...Laxus...what is going on?" He asked with wide eyes.

Levy ran over to the iron dragon slayer. "Gajeel!"

"Stay back!" Gajeel warned as he and Laxus were pulled into the sky in a flash along with Cobra.

"What just the hell just happened?" Leone arrived with the Oarburgh Clan and the Elite Seven.

"Leone..." Jula called out.

Zoro noticed the Elite Seven and recognized Najasho. "You...you're that Elite Seven member!" He prepared to take out one of his swords.

Leone got in front of the pirate swordsman. "Hold on mosshead, they're not here to fight!" Zoro was puzzled but before he asked anything, Leone interrupted him. "It's a long story, but, they're friends now!"

Gildarts didn't know who the new faces were, but he trusted Leone's words. "As much as I would like to get some answers, we have bigger things to worry about and we'll need the help we can get." Leone was relieved to hear that.

"Guys help us!" Lector and Frosch were running toward their allies in tears. "Sting is gone!"

"Rogue is gone too!"

Tom and Franky overheard the destruction. "Just what the hell was that explosion?"

"It didn't sound good," Usopp whimpered in fear.

"Let's go, the girls might be in trouble," Sanji suggested.

"It might take us a long time to get the others. Usopp said.

"Allow me to help then," Taran reappeared.

"A young wizard lady!" Sanji swooned with a goofy smile on his face and heart-shaped eyes twirling over to her, who put her hand out stopping the perverted cook using her Psyhic magic.

Yajeel was astonished. "Incredible..."

Taran looked at the Straw Hats and Nami approached the wizard. "Who are you?"

"I'm Taran and a friend of Fairy Tail." Taran replied. "Anyway, things are quite dire right now, though, Gildarts and the others need help, I'll teleport you guys to them."

Nami nodded. "Listen up you guys, we're going to battle again, but, first, Chopper keep the anchor down." Chopper saluted as the navigator looked at the Twelve's supporters. "Old sand gramps...you and your grandson stay here until it's safe...if anyone from your squad arrives tell them to stay here."

Ajeel was about to complain until Yajeel put his arm out. "Understood..." With that done, Taran used her teleportation spell to teleport the pirates with her.

Natsu found himself in a dimension realm where strange crystals were floating in midair. "Where am I?" He found himself standing on large massive solid ground.

"You're inside a Rift in Time..." Natsu turned to the voice that spoke to him from the smoke once the smoke cleared away he saw a man with large dark blue hair.

Natsu stared at the man for a minute until he felt a strange feeling and narrowed his eyes. "Wait...this feeling...I figured out who are you..." Then several crystal pillars emerged from the ground revealing the other dragon slayers. "Wendy...Gajeel...Sting...Cobra...Rogue...Laxus..."

"What you see is Rift of Time's power...nothing like anything that has granted me the power of time itself and within this realm, I'll use to destroy the world..." Acnologia proclaimed darkly.

Natsu glared viciously at the dragon slayer that killed his father. "I heard enough of your crap!" As his flames engulfed his body.

Acnologia's dragon form flew away toward Magnolia. "Where is Wendy...what did you do with her!?" No answer came from the black dragon which irritated the scarlet mage. "DAMN YOU!"

Then another crack started to appear in the air and out came Ichiya and Anna.

"Ichiya!"

"Anna!"

Hibiki and Eve help their captain by his arms. "How did you get out of that Rift?"

"Not sure...but, it's a miracle that I'm alive."

Erza swam over to Anna. "Anna, do you have an idea what is happening?"

Anna took a deep breath. "I never calculated this would occur. Acnologia consumed the Rift of Time but he can't control as one so he split his human form in the realm of the Rift of Time and his physical form as a dragon is in the real world."

"Wait, what about Wendy and the other dragon slayers?" Erza asked.

Anna had one conclusion for that answer. "The dragon slayers are being used to stabilize the realm where Acnologia's spirit body is. No doubt, that Wendy and the other dragon slayers are there."

Rena was swimming with Usagi on her back. "What do we do now?"

Anna was silent for a minute before she replied. "All we can do is hope that Natsu and the others will hopefully fight Acnologia and defeat. However, Acnologia's physical body is here and will cause havoc across Magnolia and to the entire world."

Erza understood though she knew that Magonlia was still in danger and without hesitating, she began to swim in the direction of Magnolia. "Erza!" Anna called out.

Erza didn't stop as she kept swimming. "I'm going to Magnolia, I'll swim there if I have to do it!"

Mest appeared above. "Need a lift, you guys!"

In the Rift Realm

Natsu was being imprisoned by a crystal that emerged from the ground and was caught in it. "Damn it...I can't...get loose...my magic won't work!" Acnologia just stared amusingly at the fire dragon slayer. "Try all you want but it's futile for you to even try to release your magic."

In the location where Gray and the others were, the group was still trying to make sense of what happened to their friend. Mest reappeared with Erza, Usagi, and Rena.

"Erza!" Happy waved.

"Acnologia is on his way," Erza said to them. "As for Natsu, he's alive."

Erza explained the situation she learned from Anna.

"Wait, he's alive, where is he then?" Lucy asked.

Soon everyone from Fairy Tail, the Straw Hat pirates, and Tom arrived surprising the group. "Nami!" Lucy waved.

Sanji twirled over to the celestial wizard. "Lucy my love! Did you miss me?" The blonde girl sweat dropped. "Uh...good to see you."

"Moron..." Zoro muttered annoyingly which Sanji turned glaring at the swordsman. "What?!"

Taran approached Lucy, Gray, and Happy. "Hey you guys." Lucy was delighted to see another familiar. "Taran, it's so good to see you!"

Gray chuckled with a smile. "Well, I didn't expect you to be here." Happy giggled. "Taran, nice to see you."

Taran smiled at the other two. "Gray, Happy, glad to see you two." She saw Leone and Akame, who smiled at her. "Leone, Akame, glad to see that you were able to join Fairy Tail."

Leone chuckled with a big grin. "Was there ever a doubt." Akame kept her smile which Green noticed with a faint blush on his face.

"You guys are alright,' Makarov was in a wheelchair. "Taran, glad that you make it."

Erza nodded. "Same here, we appreciate that you got our friends here on time." Taran smiled feeling flattered.

Nami saw Gilberda and instantly jumped. "It's you!" She comically yelped with her eyes popping out.

Usopp recognized Tsukushi. "Ahhh...it's the sniper assassin lady and her friends!"

Chopper was on guard when he saw Poney and Gin. "You're the two girls..."

"We have names you know!" Gin retorted however, Poney hugged the reindeer like she did last time. "Aw, so cute!"

Sanji jaw-dropped with envious. "That...little reindeer bastard..."

Zoro and Najasho looked at each other. "It seems that you and your friends are here to stay."

"So it would seem."

Getting off the topic, Erza began to explain the situation to her friends and allies.

"No way, Natsu and the other dragon slayers are in these "Ravines of Time"?!" Gray asked.

"With Acnologia's spiritual body?!" Lucy concluded.

Green had his hand under his chin. "This dragon you speak of sounds like strong enemy."

Cassandra felt utterly disgusted. "Such a beast doesn't deserve to take this land from such a beautiful women." She cooed with a flirty look on her face.

Merraid giggled. "Yes, these dears won't have their homes destroyed."

Loris and Meela gave some of the few female wizards a lustful look. "Yeah, we'll help protect their home with our bodies, right sis?"

"You bet, sis!"

"Creepy!" Lucy, Levy, Sorano, and Evergreen squeaked in unison.

Gilberda then made loving look at Nami. "Miss navigator my dear!" Nami hid behind Robin. "Don't come near me you perv!"

Ignoring the small Oarburgh Clan member's creepiness, Gray cleared his throat to get gain everyone's attention. "Anyway, if Natsu and the others can destroy the spirit body..."

"Then, they can return to us," Juvia concluded.

Bickslow chuckled. "They can and with Laxus on their side, it'll be a piece of cake."

Freed begged to differ. "I wouldn't count on that, nobody has ever defeated Acnologia."

Jimbei nodded. "Indeed, defeating that monster isn't going to be an easy task." Aquapad had to agree. "Yes, plus magic doesn't seem to hurt the bastard."

"Perhaps not..." Erza spoke getting everyone's attention. "I recall the regular moves that don't require magic can phase him." That gave a glimmer of hope to the group. "From what I've seen." She looked at Usagi, who was still conscious. "The power known as Haki seemed to affect Acnologia."

Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Jimbei, and Ace were surprised.

"That may be true, though, the Haki would have to be strong," Usagi finally awakened while Rena was a bit surprised though she held him up carefully.

"Usagi...you're awake..." Erza said as she got in front of the rabbit mink. "Do you think Haki can work against Acnologia?"

Usagi took a few breaths before speaking. "Haki is strong no doubt, though, it would have to be strong. Honestly, I think the reason my Haki was able to hurt him was because he already was dealt a major hit by Oden."

"Oden..." Robin thought.

Ace gasped quietly upon hearing the name. "Oden...he was able to hurt Acnologia?"

"Fact is, even with my Haki it probably wouldn't be much effective." Usagi continued. "Though, it doesn't mean that plan won't work, though we should have a backup plan."

Erza nodded. "Yes, even if Natsu is with the other dragon slayers, there is no telling if they're hurt or unconscious."

Sorano was confused about the details she was hearing. "Physical and spiritual body...I'm lost." Reed drew a picture to help the former Oracion Seis member. "It's like this, oui."

Robin looked at the picture. "Wow, quite the masterpiece." She praised. Reed rubbed the back of his head flattered by the compliment. "Oui...oui..."

"Ooh I get it now," Sorano said with a deadpan look.

Lily was troubled about one thing. "Magic doesn't seem to work on him and if our friend the Straw Hats' Haki isn't able to scratch Acnologia, things will get ugly."

"Sounds hopeless..." Kagura sighed looking almost defeated.

"Don't call it hopeless!" Carla cried out trying to stay strong. "I'm positive Wendy is still fighting with everything she has and we have to do the same thing."

Tigress chuckled. "She's right, we'll let Natsu and the other dragon slayers handle Acnologia's spiritual body while we handle the flesh body."

"So, we take out the flesh body, does that mean it'll get messy if blood is spilled?" Robin wondered.

"Not the time for morbid comments!" Usopp, Nami, Lucy, and Chopper retorted with shark teeth.

Natsu was soon covered head to toe with the crystal he was trapped in until his right hand was engulfed in flames and released. "My fire dragon slayer is back?!"

Wendy shattered the crystal. "Wendy, how did you get free?" Natsu asked a little surprised.

"I heard Carla's voice and just did it..." Wendy replied.

Gajeel and Cobra were freed as well.

"I heard Levy and Lily's voices."

"I can hear everyone's voice."

Sting and Rogue stepped out of the crystal. "We heard of our friends out there."

"Their support strengthens our bonds."

Laxus pumped his arms. "Well, guys, you ready to go hunting?"

"Yeah!" The other dragon slayers declared with determination staring down at the enemy before them.

Acnologia just smirked evilly at the wizard. "You fools need to learn a lesson...one that I'll gladly teach you to know why I'm called the Dragon King!"

Natsu and the other dragon slayers are taken prisoner in the Rift of Time realm but are to free themselves and ready to have a showdown with Acnologia. Their friends and allies band together to form a plan.
