Jack, in the early hours of morning, quietly gets up out of the bed with Saeko lying down beside him still asleep. He slowly covers her back up with the blankets, gets dressed, walks out of the room and heads towards Miku's room to check up on her.

He knocks on her bedroom door, but doesn't expect an answer. "Come in." He hears unexpectedly. He slowly opens the door, and peeks in to see Miku lying down on her side in the bed facing away from him.

"Have you slept at all, Miku-chan? You've been through a pretty traumatic experience before you got to the mansion." He asks her worriedly as he walks over to her bed and sits down beside her. Miku just shrugs before sighing deeply. "I slept some, but not a lot. I'll be ok though. I'll feel even better when that bastard is dead." She tells him with a frustrated tone before covering herself more with the blanket.

Jack sighs and nods. "Yeah, I think everyone will feel a hell of a lot better when Shido dies. It's not like anyone will miss him. I know Kohta won't. And I know for a fact Rei won't, considering that Shido got her dad to be lowered to nothing but a beat cop." He says as he just sits on the side of her bed.

Miku nods and sighs sadly. "Yeah, I had heard about that. I wanted to express to her how sorry I was that that had happened, but considering my... reputation... she wouldn't have believed me." She tells him with a trembling tone in her voice.

Jack looks over at her and gently places his hand on her shoulder. Miku tenses for a moment then relaxes when she mentally tells herself that she can trust Jack of all people. "Why didn't you come to me, Miku? We could've talked to her together." He tells her assuredly, making her shrug.

"I... I don't know. I guess... I guess I just didn't want to drag you into all of the bullshit and the drama surrounding me." She answers sadly before turning over on her back to look at him. "Jack... why were you so kind to me when we first met? I was so... horrible to you. I was a total bitch, and yet, you wouldn't give up. So, why?" She asks him curiously.

Jack just smiles and shrugs. "I don't know. I really don't. Maybe I could just tell that you weren't really happy with your so called friends, and that you were looking desperately to get away from them." He explains to her as she looks at him in disbelief, making him chuckle lightly. "I knew the look, Miku. I could see it in your eyes." He explains again. She nods as he looks at the clock on her nightstand before looking out the window to see the sun peeking through the horizon.

"Sun's coming up. I better head back to my room and get dressed." He says standing up from the bed and walks towards the bedroom door. He stops and turns his head to look at Miku again. "Try to get some rest, Miku-chan, ok? The others and I have plans, but you'll be safe here in the mansion." He tells her, making her nod as she lies her head back down on her pillow while Jack leaves the room.

Miku turns back towards the window as the sun rises with tears slowly falling down her cheeks. "Jack... why didn't I try to get with you when I had the chance?" She whispers quietly before eventually quietly sobbing against the bed until she cries herself to sleep.

Meanwhile, with Rei...

Rei had gotten up early to walk around quietly inside the mansion to think about what she should do. Leave with the others to look for survivors, her parents, and a way to stop this outbreak? Or stay in the safety of Takagi Mansion and wait for help to arrive?

She had gone back and forth between the pros and cons of leaving and staying, but both had different outcomes. Many of them she didn't like.

Could she really leave her friends for Takashi and let them do all the fighting? Or does she go with them and help the people that are struggling to survive?

She was so caught up in all of the questions and the what ifs, she became unaware of her surroundings and bumped into Vincent Thorne, who had also gotten up early to do his own personal patrol around the mansion. Seeing who he bumped into, she gasps in shock, and bows her head quickly with her eyes closed. "Oh, Vincent-san, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!" She apologized repeatedly, making Vincent chuckle with a smile.

He gently waved his hand. "Don't apologize, Rei-chan. You have a lot on your mind. Jack told me that you should have a decision for him and the group later today." He says to her politely, making her look up at him with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Um... yeah, that's... what I said, but..." She tells him before looking away slightly. Trying to catch her gaze, Vincent looks at her with concern. "But what, Rei?" He asks her gently.

Rei lowers her head with shame, before looking back up at him with tears flowing down her cheeks. "I... I don't... I don't have an answer. I can't... I can't come up with one." She says to him with sorrow before suddenly rushing towards him and embraces him in a tight hug as she sobs against his chest.

Taken aback by her sudden action, Vincent takes a moment to gather himself before gently hugging her back while letting her let out her emotions and frustrations from her indecision.

Letting Rei continue to let out her frustrations, Vincent gently rubs her back as she continues to sob against his chest while also secretly enjoying his warm and gentle embrace. After a few moments, Rei stops crying and just keeps Vincent in her grasp before deciding to speak. "Vincent-san, people are dying, and... people here are calling us... monsters. Just for surviving and doing what needed to be done." She says while choking up on the word "monsters".

She looks up at Vincent with sadness as he looks down at her. "Vincent... if... if you were in my position, what would you do?" She asks him. Taken aback again for a moment, Vincent looks away and begins to think about what he would do while Rei patiently waited.

After a few minutes of thinking, Vincent looks back at her with certainty. "If I were in your position, Rei, I would not hesitate for a moment to go with Jack and the group. If there are people still alive out in the city, then they'll need help, and if my family were out there too, I would not think twice about going out to find and help them." He tells her confidently.

She looks at him a moment longer before lowering her head and gently placing it back against his chest. Looking at her, Vincent has a question pop into his head that she's most likely thinking about. "You're thinking about whether you want to stay with Takashi or leave with Jack, aren't you? That's why you asked me. Isn't it?" He asks her, making her nod her head in response.

Nodding his head also, Vincent continues to think while keeping her in his arms. "I'm going to assume that he's decided to stay?" He asks her. She nods again before looking up at him. "He said he would think about it, but knowing him like I do, he's already made up his mind. He's staying at the mansion to wait for help." She tells him, making him frown slightly.

"What about his parents? I heard you and the others talking about your families a while back. He won't help look for them?" He asks her curiously. Rei shakes her head before answering him. "He's... I know he's being realistic, but he's been a complete downer since Fujimi. First Hisashi, then we lost many friends at the school. I understand why he doesn't have much hope, but it's still... frustrating that he seems to have lost all hope. I want to stay here with him, but I also don't want to let my new friends do all the fighting when they leave. Not when I know that I can help them, but I don't want to leave him either. Which is exactly why I'm pissed off at myself for not being able to come to a decision." She tells him with tears building up again in her eyes as she presses her head against Vincents chest.

Vincent feels Reis shoulders shuddering again as she gripped him tighter in her hug. "You love him, don't you?" He asks her softly. She says nothing and hesitates for a moment before finally nodding, but only once.

Vincent sighs and nods his head. "Yeah, I know that feeling all too well. I lost someone I loved to an outbreak similar to this, but not to this extent." He admits to her, making her look up at him with slight shock when she sees tears flowing down his cheeks.

Vincent Thorne, the person who saved Jack and took on, and survived, against two hulking monsters, was showing that even he is still a vulnerable human being, not a super hero. "Who... who was she?" She asks him.

Wiping his tears away, Vincent shakes his head before looking down for a moment then looks at Rei with a light smile. "It's... it's a long story. Don't worry yourself about it. Just understand this." He begins to tell her as she leans in closer to his face to listen. "This is your decision, Rei. If you love Takashi, then stay. If you want to help your friends and help them find survivors as well as your parents, then go with them. Either way, it's your choice. If it were me though, I'd go with them to help because..." He pauses for a moment before continuing.

"Because it's what she would've wanted me to do. To do what's right. Even if it meant leaving her behind." He tells her with sadness. Thinking for a moment, Rei looks at him with uncertainty. "What about the people calling us monsters?" She asks him, but he just smiles and shrugs his shoulders. "What does it matter what they think? If they want to delude themselves into thinking they have the moral high ground, let them. It doesn't matter because they know that they don't have what it takes to survive, not even on their own or even with their own group. What matters is that you are helping people to the best of your ability. So, what does it matter what others think? You're trying to survive as well as help people if you can." He answers her calmly.

Looking at him with understanding, Rei smiles lightly, and nods her head, knowing what he meant and what she needs to do. Other feelings also immediately began to stir within her for Vincent. Seeing him in a new and understanding light.

Feeling bold, Rei leans up quickly and places a light kiss on Vincents lips, making him look at her with shock before looking at her with confusion. "What was that for?" He asks her curiously. Rei bites her lip slightly with a smile and shrugs. "When all of this is over, I might never get another chance like this again." She admits before cutely smiling.

Vincents narrows his eyes as he gives her a side glance. "What about Takashi?" He asks her with concern. She nods and began to think for a moment before she looks straight into Vincents eyes. "I'll cross that bridge when I get there." She tells him, making him nod in understanding.

She hugs him again tightly, making him hug her back. "Thank you, Vincent-san." She whispers. He nods and gently rubs her back.

Finally breaking her hug, Rei backs away from Vincent with a blush before he smiles at her then walks away while she watches him with longing.

One hour later, with Jack...

After getting dressed and leaving his room with Saeko, Jack walked around the mansion to look for the others.

Finding them, they all make their way to the mansions armory to begin packing the necessary gear, equipment, and supplies they need. Walking down a hallway that lead to the armory, they see Rei standing in front of the double doors.

She looks up at them before smiling. "Hey, guys." She says to them before walking over to them. She hugs them all with a bright smile before looking at Jack. "I've made my decision." She says to them as they all waited in anticipation for her answer.

She smiles widely at them and bounces up and down giddily. "I'm coming with you guys. I'm going to do all I can to help." She tells them as they all crowded her with happiness while hugging her tightly. She smiles and hugs them back before most of them break away from the hug to head into the armory. Leaving only Jack, Saeko and Rei standing in the hallway.

Jack looks at her with curiosity. "I wasn't expecting an answer until later today. Are you sure this is what you want to do, Rei? I mean, it seems a little... rushed." He says to her as Saeko nods, thinking the same thing.

Rei nods in understanding before giggling for a moment. "I know, and honestly, I couldn't come to a decision on my own. I had a little help." She tells them both, making them look at her with side glances.

"Help from who, Rei-chan?" Saeko asks her. Jack nods, wondering the same question.

Rei bites her lip with a smile and giggles quietly. "Vincent-san." She answers, making the teenage couple look at her with shock.

"Vincent helped you with your decision?" Jack asked her, she instantly nodded her head. "Yep. What helped my decision was me seeing another side to him earlier. It was only a glimpse, but I saw and understood that while he can do all the amazing and impossible things that you told us, Jack-kun, he's still human. He can still be vulnerable as much as the rest of us. He's courageous, brave, steadfast, kind, and also gentle. He's not just a... superhuman. He's still just as human like we are, and even if people look down on him, he will still do everything he possibly can to help. Even if others look at him and see a monster, I see a human that can do the impossible. And he will always do what he believes is right, because he has to and wants to." She explains as Jack and Saeko both nodded in understanding.

Jack smiles with a soft chuckle. "That's Vincent. I have a feeling he's going to be an even more important person to all of us one day. It may not be right now, but someday." He says as Saeko and Rei both giggle with nods of agreement. "How about we head to the armory now, and grab what we need before we have to head out?" He asks them both, making Saeko nod as they both began to make their way again towards the armory, but Rei suddenly stops Saeko.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" She asks her with a smile, making Saeko look at her with confusion for a moment. "Um... Sure, but why?" She asks her, as Rei covers her smile for a moment before whispering into Saekos ear.

Saekos eyes widened before she looks at Rei with shock. "Oh, my god. Did you really?" She asks her, making Rei nod her head quickly with uncontainable giggles. Saeko lets out a short laugh before looking at Jack, who was looking at them both with confusion. "Um, Jack, babe, can you give Rei and I a few minutes, please? Rei and I will grab what we need once she and I are done talking." She says to him, making him nod, but he was still confused.

"Yeah, sure, but... is everything ok?" He asks her. Rei still couldn't contain her giggles as Saeko, while trying not to laugh, was shushing and telling her to keep quiet before looking at Jack with a bright smile and a glint in her eyes. "Yes, yes, babe. Everything's fine, it's just girl talk. That's all." She says simply, making his eyes widen.

"Oh! Well, ok then. Take the time you need. We'll be here if you need us." He tells her, knowing that when it comes to girl talk, it's best not to get involved.

"Thanks, Jack-kun." Saeko says as she and Rei both leave the hallway and head back into the mansion to talk about whatever had Rei so giddy.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Jack lets out a small laugh as he walks into the armory to grab what he needs before he and his group have to head out back into the city.

Back in the city, with Shidos group...

Shido sat in the drivers seat of the Fujimi High School bus with a wicked and twisted grin as he drove slowly and maneuvered the bus around all the corpses walking around and lying down in the streets to keep it from titling over.

Looking in the rearview mirror of the bus, his grin only widened as he saw many of his now brainwashed students all naked and still having their twisted orgy as the male and female student moaned as quietly as possible as to not draw attention from the undead outside.

One of the girls, sitting on one of the male students laps while grinding her hips against him, looks at Shido in the rearview mirror. "Ugh... Shido-san... Ah... when are we going to get to Takagi Mansion? Ah... I'd like to see how many more men and women would like to fuck me. I'm so... Ugh... bored now. I want someone... Ah... new. How soon until... Ah... until we get there?" The young girl asks the man in a drunken pleasured state.

Shido chuckled darkly as he glances for a moment at the girl, who had continued to grind her hips roughly against the male student, who had now wrapped his arms around her waist as he thrusted up deep inside of her. "Don't worry, my dear. We'll be there by tomorrow morning. After that, you can have all the men and women you want to make love with. And you'll be in a more comfortable and luxurious place to do so as well. So, not to worry, my precious student. We'll be there safely before you know it." He says to her with an even more disgusting grin.

The girl, looking back at her current lover, nods her head and kisses her mating partner lustfully before suddenly stopping her hips as her partner thrusts up his hips and climaxes deep inside of her. She lets out a lustful, but quiet, moan before collapsing against her partner. "Ahhh... Ok, Shido-san, I can wait until tomorrow morning. Ugh... I can't wait." She says as she gets up off her partner's lap and moves on to someone else. As do the others.

Shido, with a flashing glint from his glasses, just chuckles darkly as the Fujimi High School bus continues its course towards the Takagi Mansion.
