The next morning, the couple awoke from their slumbers, nude from the events last night.

Sure they did sleep in later than they normally did, but they did need some well deserved rest, and not only just because of last night.

The young girl sat up stretching, and yawning. "Mm...good morning, Inuyasha..."

"Good morning, Kagome." He sat up, stretching as well, standing up not a moment later.

"Already getting up and ready to go?" Kagome asked, standing.

"Yup, we need to get dressed and head to the others." Inuyasha smiled.

"Oh yeah, they're probably waiting on us, huh? Not to mention probably worried!" The girl smiled.

As Kagome picked up her clothes sitting by her feet, she grabbed her shoulder unexpectedly.

"Owww..." Kagome whined in pain.

"Woah, what happened? Everything okay?" He stands in front of her.

"My shoulders...they hurt..."

Inuyasha carefully takes her arm, examining it.

"Well...?" Kagome asked questionably.

"Well, there are claw marks on your shoulders...from me." He looks down at the red scratches, and dry blood on the top.

She hugs him. "Don't worry, they should heal up in a day or so!" Kagome smiles.

"Are you sure...?" His ears droop a little.

"No worries!" Kagome puts a bandage on her shoulders with some medicine under them. "See? Good as new!"

After they finished dressing, they picked up their belonging, and headed down towards the village.

At the entrance, they saw their friends waiting.

"Sorry we took so long!" Kagome rushed down to meet with them.

"Hi Kagome! We looked for you everywhere in sight and we couldn't find you!" Shippo looked at her.

Inuyasha eventually caught up, starting a conversation between the perverted monk.

"Hey!" Sango smiled, walking up to Kagome.

"Hey Sango, sorry we're a little late! Inuyasha wouldn't get his butt up this morning!" Kagome laughed.

Sango giggles a bit. "That does sound like him, but you guys did deserve the rest!"

"What did you say about me?!" The hanyo complained.

"Nothing!" Both girls giggle.

"Ugh! Are we close to somewhere where we can rest?! My legs are killing me!" Shippo grabs his knees.

"All of you shut up! We've only been walking for a couple minutes!" Inuyasha grumbled.

"It's actually been a few hours, Inuyasha. I'm getting pretty tired myself." Miroku sighs.

"You probably don't realize because you don't have to worry about it, stubborn dog." Shippo snickers.

"Get over here, shrimp!" Inuyasha shouts back.

"Oh look!!" Sango points over to the woods.

Kagome gasps. "A hot spring! We have to stop by!"

"Feh, we're not here to waste time." The dog demon crosses his arms.

"Just for a little bit, pleeeaasseee?" Kagome begs.

Inuyasha sighs, crossing his arms with a slight blush. "Fine..."

"Yay!!" The girls cheer with delight, running over to the spring.

The girls hop into one of the springs in the forest, located behind some trees, along with other springs around them. The boys excited to go in one of the other springs a few moments later.

"Maybe we should turn around. Miroku might try to take a peek." Sango rolls her eyes.

"Yeah, that's true." Kagome turns around.

Kagome grabs some soap from her bag, beginning to wash herself.

"Ya know, Kagome. I haven't seen Inuyasha this happy ever." She smiles.

"H-Huh? He's acting like normal!" She keeps washing herself.

"Yes, but he's almost being...more gentle." Sango giggles.

"Well I don't know what you're talking about! Inuyasha is Inuyasha!" Kagome blushes.

"Mhmmmm, ya know I'm getting a feeling something happened between you two last night!" Sango smiles.

"What?! No no! Inuyasha is just a guy I'm close to! I mean a guy I'm in a relationship with! I mean-"

"Bingo! Something did happen!" Sango laughs.

"Wha?!" Kagome blushes.

"Kagome, you're a horrible liar! Spill! What happened?!" Sango smiles.

Kagome turns around. "Well we hugged..."

"Mhmmm, and?"

"Kissed..."

"And?!"

"Why are you assuming there's more?!" Kagome blushes.

"Because I can see it in your eyes!" Sango laughs.

"Ugh, okay I'll tell you but don't make fun!" Kagome says embarrassed.

"I promise!" Sango smiles.

"Well...one thing led to another...and we..." Kagome blushes.

"Did you two make love?!" Sango gasps.

"Not so loud!" Kagome covers her mouth. "Although, yes we did."

"I knew something happened!" Sango laughs.

"Hey! I said no making fun! Is that weird that we did that?" Kagome looks at her friend worriedly.

"Not at all! Me and Miroku did it on our adventures one time! You guys have every reason to want to spend time together that way! Me and Miroku do it every chance we get!" Sango laughs.

"Oh thank goodness you don't think I'm weird!" Kagome sighs.

"Oh, never! It's totally natural!" Sango begins washing herself.

A few minutes of silence goes by before Sango looks over at her. "Oh, there's bandages on you. Did something happen?"

"No, I guess we weren't paying any kind of attention, so he accidentally scratched me." Kagome looks at her bandage.

"Oh, I'm sorry that happened. When do you think it'll heal?" Sango looks at her.

"Eh, maybe two days? Not too long!" Kagome smiles.

"Well, Inuyasha loves you very much. I'm sure next time he'll be careful!" Sango reassures her.

"Oh yes, of course I'm sure! He wants to protect me with everything he has." Kagome smiles.

"Inuyasha?" Miroku chided, as the three boys of the group relaxed in the spring.

"Yeah?"

"The girls aren't being very quiet over there, so I couldn't help but listen to their conversation." Miroku snickered.

"What's this gotta do with me? Let em talk."

"Well, I hear that you and Kagome got a little down and dirty last night?" Miroku laughed.

"What?!" Inuyasha blushes the slightest.

"Wow, my friend, I didn't know you had it in you!" Miroku jokes.

Well perhaps he could joke with him a bit more.

"Oooo! Was it good?" Miroku laughs.

"Stop laughin' your ass off, pervert!" Inuyasha curses.

Sango sighed standing up, as both girls can hear the commotion.

"Where are you going?" Kagome looked up at her friend, who was exiting the spring.

"I'm going to go get that pervert away from your poor boyfriend, Kagome." She dresses, stomping off.

Kagome laughs as she watches the sight from afar. Sango dragging a clothed Miroku by the ear far away from the spring, as Shippo follows.

Kagome finishes up washing herself. She digs in the bag for a towel before cursing herself.

"Kagome? Kagome!"

"Eh, yeah?!" Kagome calls to her hanyo boyfriend who is supposedly looking for her.

"Oh, you're still here? I thought you went with the others." Inuyasha steps closer to the spring.

"I-I'm still bathing, ya know!" She blushes.

"I-I'm sorry!"

"No you didn't know!" She steps out in front of him.

"Where's your towel?" Inuyasha looks at her. "You're not going out like this." He grumbles.

"No, I'm not. I guess I have my last one to Sango. I don't have anymore." Kagome sighs.

Not a moment later, she looks at her boyfriend who is holding out his red top in front of her. "Here! Dry off with this."

She takes it. "I-I shouldn't..."

He takes it from her beginning to dry her with it.

"Wait! Don't dry it off on me! You'll have to wear your tan hakama if you do that, and it's kind of cold out here today! You'll catch a cold if you go around like that! Your top is wet from you drying me off-"

He plants his lips on hers, pulling away a few seconds later. "Quiet, beautiful. I can't catch a cold so easily. I have the toughest body!" He picks her up, letting his red robes air dry.

"You say that until you start having a stuffy nose." She crosses her arms. "Cocky dog." Kagome mutters.

"Oh you love this cocky dog, don't ya!" He smiles, leaping away with her to catch up with the others.

A few days pass by. Everyone has camped outside since the day they left the village.

"Damn! This demon we're tracking down is way too difficult to find! It's wasting my time." Inuyasha complains as the group sits down by a campfire.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome says, looking through her bag.

"What?"

"We need to go back to my time." Kagome sighs.

"What?! Really, at a time like this, Kagome?"

"I'm sorry, but we need to go! We're all out of food, the blankets are dirty, as well as the towels, sleeping bag, clothes, and I also have some other things I want to grab while I'm there-" Kagome counts the items on her fingers.

"Okay okay, woman I get it! We'll go back!" Inuyasha picks her up.

"We'll keep tabs on anything that happens around here!" Miroku and Sango look at them.

"I'll keep track of any demons!" Shippo puts on a brave act.

Inuyasha smiles. "Thanks you guys, we'll be back tomorrow morning."

Without another moment wasted, he leaps off with Kagome.

"I'm home!" Kagome announced as she walked through the door with Inuyasha.

"Oh Kagome! It's so good to see you!" Her mother smothers Kagome with affection. "I'm glad you're safe! How are you doing?"

"I'm doing well!" Kagome let's her mom go.

"Oh Inuyasha! It's good to see you again too!" She smiles.

"You too!" Inuyasha looks at her.

"Oh, that reminds me! Kagome, me and your grandpa are going shopping tonight for some things! We may not come back till tomorrow because your grandfather insists we stay somewhere if we're going to be walking around the whole time. Do you mind watching Sota?" Her mom asks.

"No, not at all! It'll be no problem!" Kagome smiles.

"Oh thank you. We will be back soon! Love you!" Kagome's mom smiles.

"Love you too!" The couple calls to the woman who locked the door behind them.

"Well it's just us and Sota." Kagome smiles.

"Yup." Inuyasha laughs.

Kagome walks into the living room where her brother is playing a video game. "Hey, mom told me to watch you while her and grandpa go to shopping. Do you want to do something?" Kagome asks.

"Oh! Let's bake cookies!" Sota runs into the kitchen, after pausing his game.

"Cookies of all things?" Kagome looks at him.

"Hey, I haven't had moms kind of cookies for a while, and she's at least told you how to make them!" Sota looks at Kagome.

"Okay, let's go ahead and bake!" Kagome smiles, putting on some of her favorite songs, while her brother lays out the ingredients.

Tonight was going to be fun!
