AN: Alright guys, I'm here with another chapter of Faiz to prove that I am far from done with this story. Now, Showtime!

Chapter 5: Trust Issues
Kaixa charged at Psyga with his blade before Psyga dodged it and flew away. He then aimed before firing. Psyga was dodging the bullets before firing some of his own guns. Kaixa started running for cover. He then got on his phone and typed in a code. He then pressed Enter.
"SIDE BASSHAR, COME CLOSER!"
Just then a black and yellow motorcycle with a sidecar appeared and drove off a ramp before ramming itself into Psyga. Psyga quickly became free and flew through the air as the bike landed next to Kaixa.
Kaixa got on a pressed a button.
"BATTLE MODE!"
The vehicle transformed into a walker-type battle Mech. Kaixa aimed the guns and fired. Psyga continued flying around as he fired some more. Kaixa pressed the auto-pilot button before taking off.
"Where's he going?" Psyga wondered before trying to chase him but Side Basshar followed. Psyga flew throughout the industrial distract hoping to lose the mech. Soon as he passed beneath a factory, Kaixa jumped from the ceiling and landed on the jetpack. Psyga was trying to stir him off. "No free rides!" He barked.
"Same to you." Kaixa responded before stabbing the jetpack, causing it to go out of control. Psyga and Kaixa soon detached as they landed on the ground. Psyga pulled out both of his tonfas while Kaixa prepared his blade.
Just as Kaixa charged, he was pushed away by an explosion. Psyga looked and saw Roman, holding his Melodic Cudgel in its cannon form.
"Honestly, do you know how much noise you guys are making?" Roman joked as he walked next to Psyga.
"Fine, prepare to meet your death, human." Kaixa said as he got ready and his Mech appeared. Just before any fighting can take place, they heard police sirens.
"Cops!" Roman recognized before he and Psyga got away.
"Damn it." Kaixa muttered before typing a code in his Phone. He pressed Enter.
"VHEICLE MODE!"
His mech transformed back to a motorcycle. He jumped on and drove away before the police saw him.

The song begins as Makoto looks over a cliff and in the bottom was a ruined facility with the Smart Brain logo.
[They see you as small and helpless. They see you as just a child. Surprise when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild.] As Makoto looks at the facility, in his shadow was the Wolf Orphnoch. He tightly grips the Faiz Gear in his hands as he remembered his mother's dying words.
As the wind blows past him, the title appears.
[Prepare for your greatest moments. Prepare for your finest hour. The dream that you've always dreamed is suddenly about to flower.] Kiba kneels before Dark Decade but there is obviously a troubled look on his face. Echo hides in the woods while gripping on to her weapons. Tiber looks at the city with his sniper before leaving his spot.
[We are lightning. Straying from the thunder. Miracles of ancient wonder.] We see an army of Grimm but they are replaced with an army of Orphnochs. We soon see Leo and Roman in front of a legion of goons. Then we see the members of Lucky Clover and in front of them is the mysterious CEO of Smart Brain. We soon see the members of Team MYTE in a circle, Makoto notices something before the four of them charged.
[This will be the day we've waited for. This will be the day we open up the door. ] While fighting, we soon see the four in their Rider forms fighting the Orphnochs.
[I don't wanna hear your absolution. Hope you're ready for a revolution.] Then we see the members of Team JNPR looking at a statue in front of the school. We soon see Team RWBY practicing their weapons.
[Welcome to a world of new solutions. Welcome to a world of bloody evolution.] We see Ozpin, drinking his coffee, with Goodwitch next to him on an airship.
[In time, your hearts will open minds. A story will be told…] We see each member behind their respective symbols. Then we move in front of Beacon and see every character one by one with the last one being Makoto.
[Because victory is in a simple soul!] We soon see Faiz practicing his swords before stopping when the title appears.
(In the morning)
It was a bright morning at Beacon and most of the newly-formed team MYTE was still sleeping. Kiba was outside, in his new school uniform, with the Faiz belt on. He wanted to test something. He took out the phone and pressed the code before pressing Enter.
"STANDING BY!"
"Henshin!"
He placed the phone in the slot before pushing it in the buckle but…
"ERROR!"
He felt a shock from the belt.
"I see…" He muttered. This thing was bio-locked to Makoto, no one else can use it regardless. Kiba then packed the belt and placed it back where he found it.
He then looked at Makoto.
'He looks like a young Takumi…' He thought before thinking about the Faiz belt. It was bio-locked, there was no point towards stealing it but then Kiba had an idea…the other belts. He was sure that this new team of his will run into them soon so he decided to make the best of this while he can.
He looks at his watch and sighed.
"Might as well." He muttered before he walked up to Makoto's bed, placed the Faiz phone next to him, and called it.
The loud ringtone awoke Makoto before he fell off his bed.
"Ow…" He muttered before getting up. "What was that for!?"
"A good leader should be up and be prepared." Kiba explained.
"Like you?" Makoto retorted as he grabbed his phone. "What you don't want to be late?"
"It is the first day, I thought our team should make a good impression." Kiba explained.
"So you wake me up-."
"Not just you." Kiba answered.
"Huh?" Makoto said before looking at the twins who were still sleeping. "What about them?"
Kiba smiled before a loud alarm played in each of their beds, causing them to wake up before falling off.
Both boys laughed as the twins got up.
"I'll admit, that was actually funny." Makoto admitted.
"What the hell, you guys!?" Echo barked as she walked up to them.
"It was his idea." Makoto defended as he pointed at Kiba.
"Echo, it doesn't matter now." Tiber answered as he got up. "We're up now so we might as well do something especially since it's our first day."
"Fine, but…" Echo started as she looked at the clock. "We still have a lot of time before class starts."
"The early bird gets the worm." Kiba explained.
"Unless it gets eaten by an earlier bird…" Echo retorted. Kiba gave her a glare and got a glare back from Echo.
"So what should we do for now, Makoto?" Tiber asked since Makoto was the leader for this team. Echo and Kiba broke their glaring contest as they looked at Makoto.
"I guess, we can start unpacking our stuff." Makoto thought out loud. It wasn't a bad idea.
Kiba then remembered something.
"But first, get dressed." Kiba said before tossing his teammates the new uniforms he found.
"We have to wear these?" Makoto asked. He didn't like uniforms.
Kiba nodded before the three went somewhere private to change. They soon came out and looked at themselves.
"I don't think this looks too bad on me." Tiber said as he examined himself before placing his hat on.
"Easy for you to say." Echo said as she looked at herself in the mirror. She wasn't the type of girl who wants to put a skirt on.
"Well, I guess we should start unpacking." Makoto said as he looked a himself before he unbuttoned his collar.
The team spent the remaining time organizing things in their new dorm.
"There we go." Tiber said to himself as he placed a dart board on the closet door.
"Good, a little bit to the left now." Echo said as Kiba was moving a box around.
Makoto had a laptop set up in the desk and started placing books on the appropriate shelves.
"No, maybe over there." Echo said before Kiba moved to where she pointed with the box. "Actually put it back around there." Kiba sighed before moving the box again.
Makoto was checking each belt to see that everything was there while Tiber was organizing the spare ammo, knives, and Dust.
"You know what? Just put it back where you found it." Echo said before Kiba groaned.
"What's in this thing anyways?" Kiba asked before opening the box. He looked up at Echo, who had an amused look. "Real professional…"
The box was filled was filled with video games, a gaming console, and a TV.
"What? We could use some entertainment." Echo said, earning a glare from Kiba. "Oh, lighten up a little."
"She does have a point. It's always good to cut loose a little bit." Tiber pointed out.
Kiba just sighed before he walked up to the desk. He took his belt case and opened it to make sure everything is there, which reminded the twins about something.
"By the way, are you guys…Orphnochs?" Echo asked. Makoto and Kiba stopped and looked at her.
"It's true, usually Smart Brain equipment like that usually works for only Orphnochs." Tiber pointed out.
"Well, how do you guys know about Smart Brain and the Orphnochs?" Kiba asked back. That was a good question. How did these two siblings know all about Smart Brain and the Orphnochs in the company?
"He's right." Makoto said. "You guys mentioned that you've crossed paths with the company but what happened exactly?"
Neither twin wants to answer before Kiba looked at the clock.
"Uh, guys…" Kiba started.
"Well, what about you, Boss?" Echo asked back at Makoto. You said you would give me an answer whether you're an Orphnoch or not after initiation but you didn't say anything since then." She pointed out.
"Guys…" Kiba called again.
"I said I will but I never said when." Makoto answered back.
"Guys…"
Tiber then got in between them.
"Hey, cool it!" Tiber said as he looked at Makoto. "She does have a point. You're our leader now but how are we supposed to trust you if you don't come clean on us?" He then looked at his twin. "And we do have some things to get off our chest as well and we'll get an answer soon! Plus, does it really matter if our leader is an Orphnoch?"
Echo stared at him.
"She didn't die just for us to have prejudices against them, just Smart Brain." Tiber reminded.
"She?" Makoto wondered.
"GUYS!" Kiba called.
The three look and saw that Kiba was at the door with his belt case and school bag. "It's time for class." Kiba said before he left the room.
Tiber got his school bag as well.
"Right, come on, you two." Tiber said as he was at the door.
Echo and Makoto stared at each other before Echo took her school bag.
"Come on, Boss." Echo said as she walked out with her twin. Makoto got his school bag and belt case before walking out with his teammates.
As they were walking, Makoto couldn't help but think on what Tiber said. He was supposed to be their leader now, but how can they trust him to lead? Things were much easier when he was alone with Hal. But then again his mother would've wanted for him to make friends but it isn't easy as it seemed.
"This is going to be a long first day…" Makoto muttered to himself.
(At Roman's warehouse)
Leo was reviewing footage of him fighting Kaixa. Back in his original world, he fought the Kaixa there and killed him quite easily. But then again this was different user. One that actually uses his head unlike the one he killed.
"Interesting, you never told me of another belt."
Leo turned and looked to see Cinder. He had explained to her about his belt and that only Orphnochs like him could use it but he never mentioned if there were others besides the Riotroopers.
"You never asked." Leo replied as Cinder walked next to him to get a better view of the monitor.
"He looks…interesting." Cinder remarked as she looked at Kaixa. "What do you plan to do about him?"
"Easy." Leo answered. "I'm going to kill him and take that belt."
"Sounds easier said than done."
"I already have a plan. I'm going to have someone lure him out."
"And how do you plan on doing that?"
"By luring him with someone that he and I are looking for." Leo answered.
(At Beacon)
MYTE was sitting in class ready to begin until they saw Teams RWBY and JNPR rush in right before the professor was about to teach.
"What happened to you guys?" Makoto asked.
As their friends were explaining, Kiba felt his phone vibrate. He opened and took a look at the message. His eyes widened as he read it.
'Kaixa has shown himself. I have a plan. Lure Inui out of Beacon in any way you can.' It said. He saw his teammates laughing with the others as they were sitting down giving him some time to reply.
'Understood.' The reply was and Kiba sent it before the others settled down and the teacher appeared. He had a burgundy suit, was large, he looked like he was in his mid-fifties, and had gray hair with a matching moustache. He introduced himself as Peter Port.
He soon began a lecture.
"Monsters, demons, and prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names." Professor Port started.
Everyone stared at him. Makoto and Ruby were resting their heads on their arms but Ruby was on the verge of falling asleep. The twins were just watching like Blake and Yang while Kiba and Weiss were taking some notes down.
"But I merely refer to them as prey! Ha ha!" He joked before laughing.
Ruby was struggling to stay awake while no one responded to the laugh. The only sound that was going on other than Professor Port's voice was that of a cricket's.
"Uh…And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying…" Professor Port started. "Vale, as well as the other three Kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teaming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces."
'Than what do I count as?' Makoto thought.
"And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses!" Professor Port before he let out a clicking noise at Yang and Echo.
Yang rolled her eyes while Echo groaned.
"Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves. From what you ask? Why the very world!"
"Yeah!" One student let out before everyone glared at him. He then sat back down.
"That is what you are training to become. But first a story…" Professor Port decided.
"You got to be kidding me." Makoto whispered.
Kiba and the rest of the team looked at him.
"It can't be that bad." Kiba assured.
"A tale of a young, handsome man…me!" Professor Port clarified.
"It is…" Echo quietly groaned.
As Weiss was trying to pay attention, she noticed Ruby doing something on a piece of paper.
"Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter,…' he told me…" Professor Port continued.
Weiss heard Ruby snickering and decided to see what she was doing. Ruby showed her paper to Weiss, which had a poorly drawn version of Professor Port who reeked and was labeled as "Professor Poop."
Makoto saw the drawing and snickered as well until Kiba nudged him the shoulder, reminding him that class is in session. Yang and the twins snickered as well until they hear Professor Port clearing his throat.
"In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high. Celebrated as a hero!" he then bowed. "The moral of the story…"
Weiss had an angry look as was balancing a pencil on her finger with a book and apple on top of said pencil.
"I have to admit, that's actually impressive." Makoto said, earning some nods from his team.
"A true Huntsman must be honorable." Professor Port continued.
Weiss's glare grew more intense as she saw Ruby struggling to stay awake.
"A true Huntsman must be dependable."
Weiss then looked like she was about to blow when she saw Ruby picking her nose.
"A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise. So who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" Professor Port asked
Weiss then raised her hand.
"I do, sir!" She declared.
"Well then, let's find out." Professor Port said as he looked to his right. There, was a Grimm in a cage trying to get out. "Step forward and face your opponent!"
Soon, Weiss was back in combat clothes, pointing Myrtenaster at the cage.
"Go, Weiss!" Yang cheered.
"Fight well!" Blake cheered as she waved a tiny flag with their team's name on it.
"Yeah, represent teeeaaamm RWBY!" Ruby cheered.
"Do you think she'll last long?" Makoto asked.
"Maybe, this will be interesting." Tiber answered.
"Ruby, I'm trying to focus!" Weiss scolded.
"Oh…sorry." Ruby apologized.
Professor Port was in front of the cage with his weapon.
"Alright, let the match begin!" Professor Port declared as he slashed the lock off. The cage door fell and out came the Grimm, revealing to be a Boarbastusk. It roared and immediately headed for Weiss.
Weiss moved out of the way, slashing the Grimm in the process. The Grimm stared at her for a few seconds.
"Ha ha!" Professor Port let out. "Wasn't expecting that, were you?"
"Hang in there, Weiss!" Ruby cheered while everyone just watched.
Tiber couldn't help but notice that she isn't focused as she assured she is. There was something off, it's like she's overcompensating for something. He decided just to stay quiet and see where this goes.
The Boarbastusk and Weiss charged at each other. But at collision, Weiss's rapier was stuck in between the tusks and she tried getting it out but the Grimm was trying to shake her off.
"Oh your approach….I like it!" Professor Port commented.
"C'mon Weiss, show it whose boss!" Ruby cheered further.
Weiss looked at her before the Boarbastusk tossed Myrtenaster aside. It then rammed her away.
"Ho ho, now what will you do without your weapon?" Professor Port asked. Weiss got up and barely dodged the Grimm's assault. She ran for her rapier and grabbed it.
"Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-!" Ruby tried explaining before Weiss looked at her
"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss scolded.
The Boarbastusk rolled into a ball and charged towards Weiss. Weiss soon summoned a magical barrier in front of her and it deflected the Grimm. Soon a black seal appeared behind her and Weiss jumped on to it.
The seal then flew her across the room, stabbing the Boarbastusk in the process.
"Bravo! Bravo!" Professor Port applauded. "It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Hunstman-in-training." Professor Port complimented.
Weiss got up with an unsatisfied look on her face and Ruby had a worried face.
"I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and stay vigilant!" Professor Port reminded. "Class dismissed."
Weiss still had an unsatisfied look on her face before she left the room.
"Sheesh, what's with her?" Jaune wondered which was pretty much on everyone's mind.
Ruby soon followed. Makoto had a worried look as well.
"I'm going to check as well." Makoto explained before leaving.
"I'll come with you." Tiber volunteered as he went with him.
Ruby managed to catch up with Weiss outside the classroom while Makoto and Tiber hid behind a corner.
"Weiss!" Ruby shouted.
The heiress turned to face Ruby. "What!?"
Ruby had a worried face on. "What's wrong with you? Why are you being-?"
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far was a nuisance!"
Makoto want to go around and give the heiress a piece of his mind but Tiber grabbed him by the shoulder, telling him to calm down.
Ruby scoffed at the remark. "What did I do?" She asked.
"That's just it-you've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've continued to do so!" Weiss barked at Ruby.
Just then Professor Ozpin appeared next to the boys. He quickly gestured them to be quiet and decided to watch the scene himself.
Ruby seemed upset by her teammate's words. "Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team."
Weiss scowled. "Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I think I deserve better."
'And I thought I wasn't the good leader.' Makoto looked down on himself.
Weiss then turned her back on Ruby. "Ozpin made a mistake." She soon walked away with Ruby on the brink of tears.
"I'll go check on Weiss." Tiber said before looking at Ozpin. "If that's okay with you, sir."
"It is." Ozpin answered before Tiber nodded and followed Weiss. Ozpin then looked at Makoto. "Well, aren't you going to say something to her? Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on."
Makoto sighed and walked around the corner. Ruby was about to turn and saw Makoto.
"Ruby, is everything alright?" Makoto asked.
Ruby looked at him with a sad face as she was struggling to hold back tears. Makoto grabbed her by the shoulder. Makoto wasn't really the best at consoling but he's willing to give it a try in this instance.
"Hey, not every leader is perfect. But if it means anything, I'm here if you need me, no matter what." Makoto said, trying to console her as best as he can.
Ruby looked at him before shoving her face in his chest. Makoto was surprised with a blush on his face but comforted her nonetheless. He gave her a hug and patted her on the back until she was calm again. It was only a matter of time before Ruby was calm again.
Ruby stopped crying and looked at him before the two blushed at their closeness.
"Uh…sorry." Ruby apologized as she lets go of the hug.
"It's alright." Makoto replied before he broke the hug as well. Ozpin appeared behind Makoto.
"Good to see you two getting along. Wish I can say the same about the other." Ozpin mused. The two leaders faced him.
"Is she right? Did you make a mistake?" Ruby asked.
"That remains to be seen." Ozpin chuckled.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"I mean it's only been one day. Ruby, Makoto, I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, or child on this planet. But at this moment, I would not consider your appointment to leader to be one of them." He said, much to the girl's surprise. He then knelt to her level. "Do you?"
Ruby and Makoto stared at him and behind the corner was a certain female twin overhearing everything.
"Being a leader isn't just a title you carry to battle but a badge both of you must wear constantly. If you two aren't always performing at your absolute best then what reason do you give others to follow you?"
Ruby and Makoto thought about it. He was right, there was more towards being a leader than just having privileges. To Ruby, she has to start taking this leadership role more seriously and to do her best by being a prime example to her team. To Makoto, he also has to start taking his leadership role seriously as well but how can he if Echo doesn't trust him? He's going to have to set her straight and come clean with the others.
Ozpin turned his back on them.
"You two have been burdened with a daunting responsibility." Ozpin started. "I advise you two take some time to think about how you will uphold it." He then left, leaving the two leaders to think.
Echo, who overheard the whole thing, was thinking to herself. She soon left.
(Outside)
Weiss was thinking to herself on to the bench outside. Just how could Ruby ever be a leader? She doesn't even have experience and was contradictory to what Professor Port described.
"Hey, you mind if I sit next to you?"
Weiss was snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Tiber.
"Sure, what's your name again? Tiber, right?" Weiss asked, remembering a past conversation after team formations.
"Yeah." Tiber answered as he sat next to her. "So I saw what happened earlier ago…with Ruby. Is that really what you meant?"
"What did she say?" A new voice asked. The two looked up and saw Professor Port. "Dear girl, confess to me your strife!"
"Well…" Weiss started. "I think I should've been the leader for Team RWBY."
The two men just starred at her.
"That's preposterous!/Don't be ridiculous." Both of them responded.
"Excuse me!?" Weiss responded.
"I believed in Professor Ozpin for many years and the man has never once led me astray!" Professor Port explained.
"The man's been headmaster for a long time. How can you think he made a mistake like that?" Tiber explained as well.
"So both of you would just blindly accept his decision without realizing how exceptional I am?" She questioned.
"With all due respect, your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude." Professor Port explained.
"How dare you!" Weiss barked back.
"You just proved his point." Tiber said before Weiss looked at him. "I'm gonna take a guess that you've spent your whole life so far getting exactly what you want."
"That's note even remotely true!" Weiss denied. Both guys raised an eyebrow at her. "Well…not entirely true." She relented.
"So the outcome did not fall in your favor, do you really believe that acting such a manner would cause those in power to reconsider their decision?"
"That's how life is." Tiber continued. "Sure people can make a fret over what we don't have but we savor what we do have. Maybe you can start doing the same."
"He's right. Hone your skills, perfect your techniques, and be not the best leader…but the best person you can be." Professor Port finished.
Weiss thought about it before she smiled.
"Thank you, guys." Weiss said.
"My pleasure, just think about what we said." Professor Port said before he left. Weiss then turned to Tiber.
"I can understand Professor Port but you…Why would you help me? You don't even know me other than the fact that I'm an heiress." Weiss asked. She's right, Tiber did have no real reason to help her. Heck, they barely spoke during initiation.
"You're right, I don't know you." Tiber said before he got up. "But I'd like to." He answered before he walked away.
Upon going back inside Beacon, he saw Ruby leaving and he soon saw Echo to his left.
"How long have you been there?" He asked his twin.
"Long enough, but what you said, 'savor what you have' isn't that what…she said?" Echo asked.
"Yeah, she did. She also would've want you to talk to Makoto. At least, give him a chance after all, you gave one to her." Tiber said before he went back to the dorm. Echol was quiet before following her twin brother.
(Later at the Team MYTE dorm)
Makoto, was out of his uniform, has just finished studying but soon Kiba, was back in his usual wear and looked like he was about to leave. Makoto noticed.
"You are going somewhere?" Makoto asked.
Kiba nodded.
"I'm heading to Vale to get something. You wanna come?" Kiba said as he sheathed his sword.
"Sure, I might as well. I have to check on someone there anyways. Where you going?"
"Oh, just a friend saying he needs some help with something." Kiba explained before the twins came in, hearing the last part.
"You guys are going to Vale?" Tiber asked.
"Yeah, we have some business we should take care of before curfew." Kiba said before he closed his belt case.
"You mind if we come? After all, we are a team." Tiber pointed out, much to Echo's surprise.
"Sure, why not." Makoto said.
"Great, c'mon, sis. Let's get out of these uniforms." Tiber said before he and Echo started changing.
(Later at Roman's warehouse)
Leo was just resting, listening to some music on his headset until he felt his phone vibrating. He opened it to get a message from Kiba.
'We're here.' The message stated. Leo placed his headset away and smiled. He then whistled.
Just then a figure stepped out of the shadows, it was the Mole Orphnoch.
"You know what to do." Leo said as he rested himself on the couch.
"As you wish." The Mole Orphnoch said before he left.
(At Vale)
The team has just gotten off the airship and was now walking through town. As they were walking, Echo was thinking about the two conversations that she overheard. Maybe she was being a bit too harsh on Makoto from earlier ago and besides, if he was an Orphnoch with Smart Brain then he would've killed her or taken her.
'Savor what you have, huh…' Echo thought as she thought back to a memory.
(Two years ago)
Tiber was carrying a vegetative Echo and rested her against a tree. Tiber sat next to her before a female came out of the bushes. She was wearing brown jacket, baggy pants, and combat boots. On her back was the rifle that Tiber uses but it doesn't have a lance mode.
"I think we're in the clear for now." The female said before looking at the vegetative Echo. "So that's your sister, huh?"
"Yeah, been with her for almost all my life." Tiber sad before facing Echo and placing his hand on her forehead with a worried look on. "Hey, you're going to be okay?"
Echo didn't respond.
"You have guts, I'll give you that." The female said.
Tiber turned around.
"She's the only family I've got left. I can't abandon her not now, not ever." Tiber explained.
"Nice." The female complimented. "You savor what you have. I really applaud you for that. After all, that's what life is about, right?"
Tiber smiled.
"Right…Bianca."
(Present)
"Hey, Boss…" Echo called, making Makoto look at her.
"What's up?" Makoto asked.
"Well, I-."
Just then, an explosion occurred nearby with everybody running as far as they can.
"What was that!?" Tiber questioned before Kiba ran in the direction of the explosion.
"C'mon, let's check it out!" Kiba said before he and the others rushed to see the Mole Orphnoch attacking citizens.
"Orphnoch!" All four recognized. Kiba and Makoto then looked at each other.
"Let's go!"
"Right!"
They laid their cases out on the ground before opening it, revealing the Belts. The two placed the belts together before putting them on. They typed in their codes on their phones before pressing Enter and closing them.
"STANDING BY!"
"Henshin!"
They placed their phones in the slots before pushing it into the buckle.
"COMPLETE!"
The two transformed into their Rider forms and charged along with Echo. Tiber just got out Bianca and aimed before firing. The Mole Orphnoch felt it followed by slashes made from the other three.
"Faiz! Orga!" The Orphnoch noticed before being shot by the twins.
"Don't forget us." They responded.
As the team was fighting the Orphnoch, Cole was watching the whole event from Side Bashaar. Behind him were a few Riotroopers.
"So, he finally made himself known, huh?" Cole let out before looking at Orga. "Another new one? No matter, they shouldn't be an obstacle."
"Should we engage them now, sir?" A Riotrooper asked.
"I'll go, but attack on my signal." He instructed. This is a perfect chance to capture the Faiz Gear
"Copy that."
Cole got out his case and pulled out the belt pieces before putting them together. He got out his phone and typed in the code. He pressed Enter as he closed it.
"STANDING BY!"
"Henshin."
Cole placed the phone in the slot before pushing it down into the buckle.
"COMPLETE!"
Cole soon transformed into Kaixa and drove his bike at a high speed. Meanwhile Faiz kicked the Orphnoch away, and the other three charged at it.
Just before Faiz can join, he was rammed by Kaixa's bike. Echo noticed this.
"Boss!" Echo cried out before joining him.
"Echo! Inui!" Orga called before he and Tiber tried joining them only for the Mole Orphnoch to jumped in front of them and swat them away.
"Your opponent is me!" The Orphnoch reminded.
(With Faiz and Echo)
Kaixa stopped his bike near the docks, letting Faiz fly across the ground before rolling on the floor. Kaixa got off the bike before Faiz can get a good look at him.
"Another Rider?" Faiz questioned. Kaixa got his weapon out before placing the Mission Memory in.
"READY!"
His weapon's blade appeared.
"Now then, you're coming with me. You owe us a few years worth of explanations." Kaixa said.
"Smart Brain…" Faiz said. So they have caught up with him. He tightly gripped his sword, prepared for anything.
Kaixa then charged before striking his blade against Faiz's. Kaixa then did a sweep kick and Faiz fell on the floor again. Faiz moved out of the way just before Kaixa was about to stab him.
Faiz quickly got his phone out and typed in a code before pressing Enter.
"BLASTER MODE!"
Faiz quickly turned his phone into a gun and fired. Kaixa took the first few shots to the armor but he blocked the rest and charged for Faiz. He slashed Faiz again and again.
Kaxia then kicked Faiz away before aiming his weapon and firing. Faiz felt the shots rebounding off his armor. Faiz soon fell on the ground with his phone on the ground next to him. The phone landed on the End Call button, turning him back into Makoto.
Kaixa walked up to him as Makoto tried going for his phone and sword, only for them to be kicked aside by Kaixa.
Just then Echo comes in and sees Kaixa preparing his blade.
"Boss!" Echo called before she pulled her pistol-ninjatos out and slashed Kaixa in the back. Kaixa noticed her and stared fighting but Kaxia soon managed to punch her in the face and kneeing her in the stomach.
"Echo…" Makoto called as Echo was struggling to keep fighting. Makoto sees Kaixa about to finish her so and there was no time to retransform into Faiz or grab his sword.
Makoto's face soon had markings on before he stood up. He then transformed into the Wolf Orphnoch. He charged before taking Kaixa from behind and unhooking his belt. He tossed the Kaixa belt aside before the Wolf Orphnoch tossed Kaixa aside. When Kaixa landed, he turned back into Cole.
"Boss…so you are an Orphnoch." Echo remarked before the Wolf Orphnoch nodded and quickly ran up to Cole and kicked him further away. He then grabbed his phone and sword before turning back to Makoto.
Cole got up with a furious look.
"Why? You are an Orphnoch, an evolution beyond humanity, why fight for the humans?" Cole asked.
"Because, she's my teammate!" Makoto said. He turned back to Echo. "There's your answer and you're right. If I'm going to be your leader then…I have to come clean. I don't know if you can trust me now but I'll do whatever it takes to be the best leader for you and the others." Makoto said confidently before looking at Cole. "I could care less about being an Orphnoch! I am me!"
Cole growled before transforming into the Tiger Orphnoch. Makoto opened his phone and typed the code again before pressing Enter.
"STANDING BY!"
"Henshin!"
"COMPLETE!"
Makoto soon transformed into Faiz, who flicked his wrist. He charged before the two were fighting each other while Echo watched the battle.
"Boss…" She then thought about what he said. Makoto now wants to look after them like any leader should. He even exposed his deepest secret right in front of her. If he wasn't afraid of exposing his connect then she shouldn't either.
Echo quickly noticed the discarded Kaixa belt and placed it on.
Faiz slashed the Tiger Orphnoch before noticing Echo.
"Echo, wait the thing can only be used by-!"
"I know but, you've shown me your secret now let me show you mine. I'm not an Orphnoch but I'm something close to it." Echo answered.
"Echo…"
Echo opened the phone and saw the code list. She typed in the first one she saw and pressed Enter before closing it.
"STANDING BY!"
Her right was across her chest with the closed phone in hand.
"Henshin!"
She placed the phone in the slot before pushing it down into the buckle.
"COMPLETE!"
Yellow neon lines surrounded her before she was replaced with Kaixa. The new Kaixa looked over herself before getting her Mission Memory out and placing it into the Blaygun.
"READY!"
The blade materialized and the new Kaixa charged.
(With Orga and Tiber)
Orga slashed the Mole Orphnoch and Tiber jabbed it in the back. The Mole Orphnoch moaned in pain as he moved them away.
Orga and Tiber quickly switched their weapons into shooting mode before shooting the Mole Orphnoch. Orga sees the opening and opens the speaker compartment in his sword before inserting his Mission Memory.
"READY!"
"Check!" He spoke into it.
"EXCEED CHARGE!"
Orga aimed and fired the energy cone into the Orphnoch's chest. Orga sheathed his sword as he jumped in the air before going down in a sidekick position. He in the cone before the cone tore the Orphnoch apart. Orga appeared on the other end before the Orphnoch had a golden Omega sign on him. He then burst into blue flames before exploding and crumbling away as dust.
Tiber walked up to Orga, who reverted back to Kiba.
"We have to find the others." Tiber reminded.
"Right." Kiba said before Tiber went in the direction that others went. Kiba soon looked up at a nearby roof to see Psyga.
Kiba had a smile on his face and nodded at Psyga, meaning he has this covered. Psyga nodded back before flying away. Kiba then followed Tiber. The two went to the docks where they heard fighting. They arrived and found Faiz along with Kaixa fighting the Tiger Orphnoch.
"Echo!?" Tiber recognized due to Kaixa's familiar fighting style.
"Tiber!" Kaixa recognized before she dodged a hit from the Tiger Orphnoch.
"Your sister is an Orphnoch!?" Kiba asked since most of the belts only work for Orphnochs.
Tiber shook his head.
"No, it's a long story." Tiber answered. "But we have to help though."
"Right!" Kiba said before pulling out his phone. The Tiger Orphnoch noticed.
"Oh no, you don't! Men!" He called before resuming his fight with the Riders.
Then Riotroopers appeared around them and one of them kicked Kiba's phone out of his hand before they started fighting with the two guys.
Meanwhile, both Faiz and Kaixa got both their guns out and fired at the Tiger Orphnoch. The Tiger Orphnoch was forced to the floor and reverted back to Cole.
"Damn it! Damn it!" He cursed before Faiz and Kaixa walked up to him. Cole got a smoke grenade out. "Retreat!" Cole ordered before he threw his smoke grenade on the floor. It exploded, releasing a blurry fog around everyone.
When the smoke faded, everyone, other than MYTE, was gone. Kiba picked up his phone while Faiz and Kaixa reverted back to their civilian forms. Tiber ran up to Echo and hugged her.
"Are you okay!? There's nothing wrong with your body now, right?" Tiber asked.
"I'm fine." Echo assured as she took off the Kaixa belt and looked at it. She then faced Makoto. "Thank you, showing me your Orphnoch form must've taken guts."
"No problem, just happy to help a teammate." Makoto answered. "But, how were you able to use that belt without being an Orphnoch? Otherwise, it would've killed you."
Echo then had a frown and Tiber placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You don't have to do it." He said.
"No, they deserve to know." Echo said before she turned around and dropped her hoodie to her arms, showing the back of her shirt. Makoto and Kiba's eyes widened with surprise as they saw a barcode tattoo on the back of her neck with the Smart Brain logo underneath. "Smart Brain kidnapped me from my brother a couple years ago. And did…experiments on me, one of those experiments must've allowed me to use the belt."
"But how did you know that?" Kiba asked.
"I guessed." Echo answered before putting her hoodie back on. She then approached Side Bashaar. "So is this mine now?" She asked as she revved the machine up.
Psyga was watching from a nearby rooftop.
'I'll be nice for today, you've guys been through enough but…I will take those belts.' He thought before looking at Kiba. 'And you're going to make sure that happens.' Psyga then flew off.
"It's not safe here, we have to take this vehicle somewhere safe." Kiba said.
"He's right and I know just the place." Makoto said as he soon walked away to get the cases.
(At Hal's)
"How did you? You know what, I don't want to know." Hal said as the twins were parking Side Bashaar into the garage, next to Auto Vajin. He was told about what happened especially gaining the Kaixa belt and Side Bashaar.
"I'm sorry, Hal. But we literally have no other place to put this." Makoto apologized.
"It's no problem, really. Just be careful, there are other people after you now." Hal said.
"Don't worry, we'll make sure nothing happens to Inui here." Kiba assured. "After all, he is our leader and my friend."
Makoto looked at him and smiled as did Hal.
"Well, good to hear that. Anyways, you guys better get back to school. I'm sure whatever you wanted to do here now can wait especially with what just happened." Hal advised.
"I was just thinking the same thing. Come on, everybody." Makoto called before he and the rest of his team left. Hal looked at the group with a happy face.
"He's growing up so fast." He said before he went inside.
(At their dorm)
Kiba and Echo were already asleep while Tiber was resting in his bed. He looked up and saw Makoto studying a little bit before examining the Kaixa belt.
"Hey, Makoto." Tiber called.
"Huh?"
"Thanks, for saving my sister…and breaking her out of her shell."
"No problem, man. But how did she end up in Smart Brain hands before? Actually, why did they want her in the first place? They usually ignore humans or the Faunus."
"It was her DNA." Tiber answered. "Something about it was so special, it really got them curious enough to kidnap her from me."
"You broke in and rescued her?"
"Not alone, I had help." Tiber answered before looking at Bianca. "From a friend."
"I see, thanks for telling me this." Makoto said as he had a new opinion about both twins now.
"No problem, just don't stay up too late. We have classes tomorrow."
Makoto smiled.
"Yeah, no worries. Night, Tiber."
"Night, Makoto." Tiber said before remembering a certain event in his dream.
(Two years ago)
Tiber and Bianca have just taken care of the few Riotroopers left before reinforcements come.
"Bianca, cover me! I'm going in!" Tiber said before he went in the room. The room seemed to look like some kind of lab. He saw Echo, in nothing but a tank top and shorts, in a filled lab tank.
Tiber soon found what seemed to be a control panel. He pressed a few button and water in Echo's tank emptied before it opened. Tiber quickly got in front of the tank, only to catch his twin sister.
He gently cradled her and looked into her face. Her face was expressionless and her eyes were dull.
"Echo! It's me, Tiber! Your twin!" Tiber said but didn't get a response from Echo. He checked her pulse to see that it was fine. He soon carried her over his shoulder. "You're gonna make it, you got that."
Bianca appeared in the room.
"We've got a problem! Reinforcements are coming in! We have to leave now!" Bianca said.
"Got it, you take point."
(Omake: Surprise Party)
Tiber and Echo open the door to their dorm, only to be greeted by Makoto and Kiba who have a cake in front of them.
"Happy Birthday!" The two greeted.
"It's not our birthday." Both twins responded.
"Shut up!" Makoto responded before he and Kiba started digging into the cake.
AN: There's my latest Faiz with Echo being the new Kaixa. And she's starting to trust Makoto and Makoto is starting to take his leadership role more seriously, even exposing himself as an Orphnoch to Echo.
