AN: So, I just want to be clear on something; Fourze will not be affecting my normal updating pattern since I am NOT the main writer of the story. I just want to be clear on that; I only edit and co-write. Now with that out of the way, I am proud to present another chapter on Faiz. It's been a while, but with Faiz on Zi-O and RWBY V6, I just couldn't wait but to get to work on this. Now, Showtime!

Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY or Kamen Rider, but I do own the OCs.

Special 2: Figuring Couple Stuff

Makoto took a deep breath as he was waiting in the airship bay just outside of Beacon, waiting for Ruby. It's been over a week since those two made themselves a couple after what happened with Makoto having been feral for a bit and dealing with Gen-2 Riders. Since they managed to get a break before the second term starts, the pair decided to go on a date.

Unknown to each other, this made them extremely nervous as they had no experience to dating at all. Makoto was at least 15 minutes early, waiting for Ruby at the docks. He was wearing a black casual blazer with a red button-up underneath with the collar opened, revealing a white shirt. On the lower half, he wore gray jeans and black converses. While he wanted to pick out his usual outfit, Echo forced him into this because despite being a tomboy, she knows that girls like it better when guys make at least an attempt to look good on a date.

"Okay Makoto, you got this. You got this." He told himself, trying to stir up some self-confidence. "You've faced Orphnochs, Grimm, and other Riders…why feel so nervous about this?"

"Who are you talking to?"

Makoto almost jumped from that as he turned to see Ruby in a different outfit as well. She was missing her cloak and had a black shirt with a red star and black rose in the center of it, a white hoodie with rolled up sleeves, a jean skirt, dark thigh-high socks, and short black boots.

"N-Nothing!" Makoto said as he scanned Ruby, making the latter a bit nervous.

"W-What's wrong? Do I look weird?" Ruby asked as she immediately looked at herself.

"N-No! You, uh…look good. Look really good." Makoto said, blushing as he mentally kicked himself in the head for just calling her "good".

"Thanks, you too." Ruby said, earning a nod of acknowledgement before Makoto blushed as he offered his hand.

"So, ready?"

Ruby nodded as she blushed back while taking said hand before the two boarded the airship heading to the main city of Vale. Not that far was Yang wearing a pair of sunglasses, orange shirt, a light green hoodie with the hood up, dark tan cargo pants, and a pair of white sneakers. She was watching the two board before entering the same airship.

While she doesn't really have anything against Makoto, she was overprotective of her little sister since birth. Dealing with Grimm is something she's used to letting Ruby deal by herself depending on the situation, but boys are another story…

(Play This Will Be the Day by Jeff Williams)

The song begins as Makoto looks over a cliff and in the bottom was a ruined facility with the Smart Brain logo.

[They see you as small and helpless. They see you as just a child. Surprise when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild.] As Makoto looks at the facility, in his shadow was the Wolf Orphnoch. He tightly grips the Faiz Gear in his hands as he remembered his mother's dying words.

As the wind blows past him, the title appears.

[Prepare for your greatest moments. Prepare for your finest hour. The dream that you've always dreamed is suddenly about to flower.] Kiba kneels before Dark Decade but there is obviously a troubled look on his face. Echo hides in the woods while gripping on to her weapons. Tiber looks at the city with his sniper before leaving his spot.

[We are lightning. Straying from the thunder. Miracles of ancient wonder.] We see an army of Grimm but they are replaced with an army of Orphnochs. We soon see Leo and Roman in front of a legion of goons. Then we see the members of Lucky Clover and in front of them is the mysterious CEO of Smart Brain. We soon see the members of Team MYTE in a circle, Makoto notices something before the four of them charged.

[This will be the day we've waited for. This will be the day we open up the door.] While fighting, we soon see the four in their Rider forms fighting the Orphnochs.

[I don't wanna hear your absolution. Hope you're ready for a revolution.] Then we see the members of Team JNPR looking at a statue in front of the school. We soon see Team RWBY practicing their weapons.

[Welcome to a world of new solutions. Welcome to a world of bloody evolution.] We see Ozpin, drinking his coffee, with Goodwitch next to him on an airship.

[In time, your hearts will open minds. A story will be told…] We see each member behind their respective symbols. Then we move in front of Beacon and see every character one by one with the last one being Makoto.

[Because victory is in a simple soul!] We soon see Faiz practicing his sword before stopping when the title appears.

(In Vale)

After a short ride and docking in the main city, the couple still held each other's hands as they walked into the main area.

"So where do you wanna go first?" Ruby asked as Makoto remembered that he was the one who volunteered to plan out the date.

"Well, I, uh, was thinking about…maybe going to for a bite at the diner nearby. I haven't tried it yet since they just opened up so…"

"That sounds fine." Ruby said as Makoto led the way with Yang behind, watching but keeping her distance so she wouldn't get noticed. "What's it called anyways?"

"Pine's Drive and Dine, I think." Makoto recalled as the two entered and got a booth. Fortunately, for Yang, their booth was in front of a window so all she had to do was sit in the public bench nearby and watch while pretending to look busy.

After ordering their drinks, the two looked at each other and awkwardly waited for each other to start talking.

"So…" Makoto started, trying to find a conversation-starter.

"So…how did you hear about this place?" Ruby asked.

"Well, during one of my previous visits to Hal, he mentioned about this place opening and wanted to check after dealing with his next Grimm contract." Makoto replied.

"You've known him for a long time."

"He's a friend of my Mom's. She even left it in her will for him to be my legal guardian. At least until I can live on my own, but he still taught me how to fight for the most part. Lucky Clover training facilities aren't exactly all that…delicate." He explained, getting a nod of acknowledgement.

"I see."

"And you?"

"Oh, I was trained by my Uncle Qrow. Looked up to him since I was a kid." Ruby explained. "I was complete garbage before training under his wing. Now, I'm a genuine badass!" She said as she did some kung fu poses, getting Makoto to laugh a bit.

Soon, the waitress came by with their drinks and started asking for their orders.

(With Yang)

Yang was still spying and it looks like things are going smoothly until…

"Yang?"

Yang nearby jumped at that until she looked and saw Naoya.

"Oh, it's you." Yang said as she calmed herself down, not wanting to attract attention especially from the couple.

"What are you doing here?"

"I, uh…well, what are you doing here?"

"I was running errands for the old man, Hal." Naoya explained as he was carrying a list of groceries. "Still didn't answer my question. And were you staring at that window?"

"Whaaaat? Me? No." Yang said, trying to play it off cool before Naoya looked at said window, seeing Makoto and Ruby together laughing as their food came in.

"Oh, I see…didn't think I see you being THAT overprotective."

"You don't know that much about me." Yang countered.

"Touché." Naoya admitted as he sat next to her, earning a look from the blonde girl.

"Any why are you still here? You said you have chores."

"The old man isn't going to be back for a while. He won't know." Naoya replied while Yang just focused on watching her sister's date.

(With Makoto and Ruby)

"I love this burger. So delicious. Really, one of the best burgers I've ever had." Makoto said as he was enjoying his bacon cheeseburger and fries while Ruby was her chicken sandwich.

"So, I was thinking…I had some plans for some upgrades for the Faiz armor and Auto-."

"Stop right there." Makoto said as he finished a fry. "Ruby, we're on a date. We don't need to talk about work or school, let's just talk normal." He replied though he is a bit stumped on what to talk about.

"Great! But…how exactly do I do that?" Ruby asked with a blush of embarrassment on her face. She noticed Makoto's surprised expression as he finished his burger. "I-I'm sorry! This is just all new to me! I mean…this is my first date ever since I don't get many guys asking for one let alone asking to be my boyfriend."

"Well, same." Makoto admitted, slightly surprising Ruby.

"Really? Most people that I know have had dates and/or relationships already."

"You know I'm not like most people." Makoto explained. "But hey, at least there's an upside to all of this."

"What?"

"At least, we're both new to this. We're clueless together." He tried to joke with a chuckle.

Ruby followed it up with a light giggle.

"Yeah…Yeah, I guess we are." Ruby took some solace in that. "So that means…I'm your first girlfriend."

"Yeah, and I'm your first boyfriend." Makoto said as he then realized something. "Out of curiosity, what's Yang's take on our relationship?"

"She seemed fine when I told her and the other girls about us."

"Really?"

"Yeah, which is odd since most guys that have tried asking me out ended up getting into accidents."

"Accidents?" He asked.

"Yeah, one ended up with a black eye and said that he tripped, landing on his face. Another got both of his legs broken and claimed he got those from a hockey accident." She recalled, making Makoto nervous about her older sister. "But I wasn't born yesterday, it was clear as day what really happened."

"Just to be clear, these incidents occurred after Yang knew about them trying to ask you out?"

"Don't worry, I tried begging all yesterday to her not to hurt you as insurance. I even brought out the infamous puppy-eyed face." She then showed said face to him.

"The adorableness! It burns!" Makoto playfully said, earning another laugh out of the silver-eyed girl.

As Makoto joined in on it, he looked outside and noticed Yang. Yang caught his gaze and grabbed Naoya's bag of groceries before hiding her face behind it. Before Makoto can react, the waitress approached them.

"Hi there, is everything going alright? Do you two want dessert?"

"Uh no thanks, we actually have some plans later and we might need the leftover space. Can we just get our check please?" Makoto requested.

"Of course, right away!" The waitress smiled as she took the plates and left.

(With Yang and Naoya)

As the couple waited patiently for their check, Naoya took his bag of groceries back.

"Don't you think you're being too overprotective of the kid?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Me? No, overprotective would be me breaking Makoto's back." Yang said as she kept watching the two.

Naoya just had a raised eyebrow of suspicion.

"You gotta give your sister some slack. She's never gonna grow up proper if you keep coddling her like this."

"Since, when did this become your business?" Yang asked, starting to become a bit testy.

"I'm just saying. There's some things, including dating, that all you can do is just put some blind faith in."

"Why do you care?"

"I owed you guys at least that advice. Now I have to go before some of these groceries get spoiled. I suggest you think about what I've said." Naoya said as he then took his bag and left.

Yang just stared at him before looking to see the couple pay and then leave. Yang, despite Naoya's advice ringing in her head, soon followed once more.

She soon followed them to the movie theater while said pair was looking at the movie listings for around this time of day.

"What about Petals of Sorrow?" Makoto read.

"Sounds way too cheesy and sad. What about X-Ray and Vav 2: The Mad King's Rise?" Ruby asked as she too read the title.

"I do like superhero films." Makoto said. "Alright, I'm down with it."

"Great!" Ruby replied with a bright smile as she and her boyfriend approached the booth and paid for their tickets while Yang followed suit. After buying some small snacks and drinks, the couple took the middle row while Yang was in the far back so she can get a good vantage point.

As the movie was going, Makoto sweatdropped a little with his heart beating a bit too fast as he looked at the girl that he admired next to him. When prepping for this date, some of his guy friends tried giving him some advice. Jaune's was to wrap his arm around her shoulders and pull her in without getting caught.

Makoto tried doing so and Yang caught on. She gritted her teeth at the move as she gripped the arm rests on her chair so strongly that she actually made dents in them. When Makoto was about to complete it, Ruby caught on in confusion.

"Huh?" Ruby looked at her shoulder, forcing Makoto to pull back his arm to its original position. She then looked at him in confusion. "Were you trying something?"

"N-No!" Makoto said as they watched the rest of the movie amused while Yang was still keeping a steady eye on the two.

After a couple hours passed, the movie ended with the credits now rolling which prompted everyone to leave.

"So, what did you think of the movie?" Makoto asked as he and Ruby got up, starting to leave.

"I feel bad for Edgar." Ruby replied. "But, if anything, that movie was about alright. You?"

"On a movie scale, about 7. On a superhero movie scale, maybe about 7 and a half."

Ruby chuckled a bit in amusement.

"You have separate movie scales."

"Only for superhero films. I mean they came a long way starting from…I'm nerding out and you're pretty much in the dark this time." Makoto realized while Ruby just laughed more in amusement.

"Don't worry, it makes you look adorable." Ruby consoled as she patted him on the back.

Makoto then looked back to see Yang still following them. He then leaned into Ruby's ear to whisper something.

"Hey, you know that Yang…?"

"Following us? Yeah, I know." Ruby replied back in a whisper as well. "I know her too well that she just wouldn't leave us alone."

She then smiled as she thought of something.

"I have an idea." She then whispered the rest of her plan to get some form of payback while Makoto chuckled.

"Okay, let's do it." He replied as the two went into their gender-respective bathrooms. Yang waited outside while Makoto and Ruby crawled out of the windows before meeting each other.

"Let's go before she figures out!" Ruby said as they ran away from the theater. They soon made it around the pier as the sun was setting.

"How long do you think it'll take for Yang to notice that we just left?"

"At least an hour." Ruby guessed.

"How pissed do you think she'll be?"

"On a scale from 1 to 10, maybe 11."

"Looks like I'll be spending the night at my apartment." Makoto said, slightly surprising Ruby.

"You still have an apartment?"

"Hal pays for the rent even after I dorm in Beacon. He knows I still keep a majority of my old projects in there." He explained as he and Ruby sat down on the bench. "So…what did you think of today's date?"

"It was fun. I mean, we spent lunch on a new diner which is really great and the rest of the day on a good funny movie. What's not to like?" She said with a smile. "Though, I'm not really sure on Yang's part."

"Yeah." Makoto chuckled. "It's great that this date worked out, but I feel like maybe we could've done more. Like these things seem…I don't know, small. Does that make sense?"

Ruby nodded but she didn't really think much on it as Makoto had.

"I wouldn't overthink things, we did just start being a couple. Sometimes I think we may have started as a couple too early." Ruby said, recalling their first kiss and declaration of love when Makoto was just recovering.

Makoto thought about it and she did have a point since they only knew each other for about a term. Most couples would usually form after bonding over a lengthy period of time with numerous dates within said period.

"Yeah…maybe you're right, I'm thinking way too much into this." Makoto said as he looked at her with a smile. "Still despite the rushed start, I'm just happy that it all seems to work out in the end."

"Same." She said as they both held hands and kissed as the sun set.

(With Leo)

Leo was sleeping in a dark apartment as he was waiting on a call from Cinder regarding their next move. He then heard a noise, waking him up and saw that it was a Grey Mirror.

Leo looked at it as Dark Decade emerged from it.

"I imagine you want a progress report." Leo said.

"You guessed right." Dark Decade said in her natural female voice, surprising the male Dark Rider.

"You're using your natural voice."

"Turns out the voice changing collar was…unnecessary. But nevermind about that, I assume that Yuji Kiba is…"

"Yeah, he's turned traitor. Like your said, his memories surfaced and is now fighting for his real ideals. You wanna take care of him?"

"No, I have much more pressing matters to take care of in other worlds. I'll entrust the matter of the traitor to you."

"As you wish."

"Now, for the real reason I am here, what progress have you made?" She asked.

"Well, I haven't taken much steps against Faiz directly since the night that Kiba turned, but I have been able to learn some new information from the ones I'm currently working with."

"That so?"

"From what I was able to gather, Cinder is after something…or someone within Beacon Academy. It's where the Riders go to school."

"I see…and do you think it's worth stealing from under their noses?"

"I still don't' know much about the specifics. You know me though, I'll let you know when I find more details." Leo said casually.

"I see. Anything else?"

"No, that's about it."

"Well then, I suppose it's now time for me to tell you something. With Yuji Kiba now gone from our ranks, I'm entrusting all of this world's activities towards you and you alone. You have a lot of work ahead of you, are you up to the task?"

"Don't worry about me."

"Good, I'll do what I can to find someone to aid you. Best of luck to you." Dark Decade said as she summoned a Gray Mirror and left through it. "As for Yuji Kiba, do whatever you deem necessary."

Leo then lied back down on his bed, thinking how to make a move against Faiz and the other Riders now.

(The next morning)

After spending the night at his apartment and boarding the morning airship, Makoto made it back on Beacon premises while checking his phone notifications. He raised an eyebrow when he saw that had missed calls from everyone on his team during the night when he was sleeping.

He entered the dining halls, took a tray, and grabbed whatever food he can get his hands on for breakfast before looking for his team. He soon found them and saw that they were a bit messy, bruised, and slightly sleep-deprived. YTE noticed Makoto and glared at him a bit as he took a seat next to Kiba.

"Jeez, what's wrong with you guys?" Makoto asked as he took a bite out of an apple.

"Where were you last night?" Echo asked back in a passive aggressive tone.

"I spent the night at my apartment. You guys know I had a date with Ruby yesterday, right?"

They nodded.

"Well Yang was following us and we managed to trick her. But I had to stay behind to avoid her fury for the night." Makoto explained. "Now, you guys still didn't answer my question."

"Yeah, here's the thing; while you dodged Yang's fury, we didn't." Kiba replied, slightly confusing Makoto.

"She barged into our room in the middle of the night demanding where you were, even bruising us a bit." Tiber called as he winced at the memory of it.

"That's why each of us were trying to call you, but you didn't answer your phone." Echo added, which explained that certain part.

"I think I was already asleep during that." Makoto replied with a sense of guilt.

"The nightmare only ended when Ruby pulled her out, saying that she wanted to talk." Kiba explained as Makoto looked over to the table that RWBY was sitting at.

They seemed to be happily eating their breakfast as Ruby noticed Makoto and waved at him. Makoto waved back before noticing Yang glaring at him while Ruby lightly elbowed her, prompting the blonde girl to mind her own business.

'I wonder what they talked about.' Makoto thought about before remembering something that he worked on last night. "Oh speaking of last night, I've been working on some updates for your armors."

"What kind of updates?" Echo asked in curiosity.

"For Kaixa and Delta, just some minor patch updates for the OS." He then looked at Kiba. "You, however, it's a new mode."

"New mode?"

"Yeah, for your armor. It was a simple idea. That's how I was able to finish it up so quickly." Makoto explained. "We can go to my apartment later. Call it may make-up gift."

"Do I really deserve a new mode?" Kiba asked with his expression now changing into one of regret. "I mean, I've lied to you guys, used you, and damn near almost got Blake killed for it."

"I would've been madder if you had gone through with it." Echo said as she resumed eating her breakfast.

"I'll admit that being from another world sounds incredible, but knowing you've had such a rough life to join a group…" Tiber trailed off.

"I'll admit, bonding with you guys and the others might've contributed to my betrayal from the Dark Riders." Kiba admitted, getting a pat to the back from Echo.

"Glad we can be of help." She said.

"Thanks, but I still don't think I really deserve a new mode."

"Think of it as a thank you present for not following that betrayal on us." Makoto said, getting Kiba to smile and nod a bit.

"Alright, so when can we expect these updates?"

"We do them at my apartment after you guys are done eating…and freshening up," Makoto nodded, getting three glares yet again.

(Later in the day)

Makoto was working on the three belts in his apartment while YTE were roaming around the city until he was done.

"So, what you guys wanna do while Boss works his magic?" Echo asked.

"Should we get school supplies for the next term?" Her twin asked.

"Are you serious? We still have a couple more weeks before we can worry about that! Let's just put that on the bottom of our list." Echo said as she looked at the buildings they were passing. "Local arcade?"

"We've had game night not that long ago. Don't really feel like playing." Tiber admitted while Kiba looking at a sign nearby.

"Hey guys, what's the Starhead Industrial Company?" Kiba read as the twins soon joined him before they too read the poster. There was going to be a public exhibit held by said company, even going to showcase their latest robot.

"From what I read about from Boss's tech magazines, they're a robotics company that are best known for utilizing robots in almost all of their activities." Tiber recalled. "How about we check the exhibit out to kill some time?"

"Why not? I'm not usually a fan of exhibits, but I can get behind robots. Especially since our vehicles are robots too." Echo said as they looked back at the poster for the address. "Okay, I know the place. It isn't that far. Only a couple blocks down."

"Wish we had our Rider Phones to call the bikes, but Makoto needs them for the updates." Tiber slightly complained.

"I don't think they would've responded since Makoto is still working on duplicating that sentience chip so Auto Vajin would be the only one available." Kiba recalled.

"Boss gets way too into his hobbies." Echo remarked, making the other two guys nod in agreement as they reached the area.

The three saw several people gathering around with a variety of robot animals on display with some that look really simple looking to the more complicated models. The three also saw small snacks and drinks being served by robot dogs, which some of the female bystanders couldn't help but cooed at the adorableness.

"Man, those magazines didn't exaggerate on the heavy robot use." Tiber remarked.

They soon started to roam around the area and Echo stared at one of the robot dog servants. She looked behind her to see her brother and her teammate just chatting as they were looking at a display of the robot monkeys.

With the coast seemingly clear for Echo, she immediately petted the robot dog servant with a soft expression before…

"Oh Echo, I didn't know you like these things too!"

Echo paused and turned around to see Ruby and Weiss.

"I, uh…was just admiring the engineering behind these things! Yeah, that's it!" Echo lied as she tapped the robot dog, only for its eyes to blink in response.

"Ma'am, petting the robots are fine but please do not damage them." The robot dog warned as it soon went to aid and serve other guests.

Echo chuckled nervously as she decided to change the topic of the conversation before the others can dig into this.

"S-So, what are you girls doing here?" The black and blue-haired girl asked.

"Oh, we wanted to see more of the Vytal Festival being set up before we saw the ads for this exhibit. I thought, 'Wow, an almost all-robot exhibit sounds super cool! Let's see it!'."

"For me, I guess I was curious." Weiss added. "SIC hasn't really posed much of a competition to the Schnee Dust Company, but they do have a good reputation."

"And the other two?" Echo asked as she finally saw Blake and Yang talking to Tiber and Kiba.

"More along the lines of 'why not'." Weiss replied as Yang noticed Echo and walked up to her.

"Hey Echo, sorry about what happened last night." Yang said, surprising said girl. "As I've explained to the others, I guess I was a little ticked off with what Ruby and Makoto did to ditch me and I took my anger on you guys. So…yeah, sorry."

"It's…cool." Echo smiled as she was happy to get that out of the way before…

"Um, excuse me!" A lady on the stage nearby said, attracting the attention of everyone. She had dark blue hair tied in a ponytail and was wearing a grey uniform. "My name is Iona Rockshow and I am a representative of Starhead Industrial Company. First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming to our public exhibit today!"

Everyone clapped at that.

"And I hope you've all been enjoying the event so far because it is time to unveil our latest invention! One that will no doubt be an asset in the workforce!" She explained as she soon revealed a giant robotic elephant. "This marvel is the X103-Titan, a robotic elephant specifically designed to do the heavy lifting of objects that can weigh several tons. Perfect for construction, moving cargo, or mining depending on the situation itself."

Everyone clapped again at the sight of the metal behemoth.

"And unlike most of the machines here, the Titan will be in need of a pilot to avoid any faulty AI errors. To demonstrate, I will be piloting the machine itself and test its strength amongst numerous heavy objects. Rest assured that I have piloted the Titan during its beta testing phase."

They soon watched as Iona climbed into the open cockpit, closed it, and activated the startup procedure. The elephant roared as it soon came to life, surprising everyone. It walked around for a bit, just to show everyone that it at least has basic functionality.

"Now, I will be testing the machine's immense strength regarding 3 objects. A giant boulder, a large filled shipping container, and several girders." Iona said as she started with the girders. She typed in some buttons as the Titan wrapped its trunk around said girls and lifted them off the ground easily. It stomped around, carrying them, getting the audience to clap in approval.

The Titan soon dropped off the girders and went to the ship crate, wrapping its trunk around it.

"And just to be clear folks, this care is entirely filled with bricks. Just to showcase how strong the Titan can lift." Iona explained, impressing the audience once again. Some of them were even recording this on their Scrolls.

"Not bad for what's basically construction equipment." Echo remarked.

Unknown to Iona and the entire crowd, a person in a hooded brown coat was playing around with a tablet until it indicated that his hack was complete.

"Now, let's have some fun." The hacker said as he started playing around more with the tablet.

Meanwhile, the Titan had just lifted the boulder and almost everyone clapped as the showcase was nearing its end. Iona was just about to drop the boulder and exit the cockpit, but the controls didn't seem to be responding.

Everyone seemed to be confused before the Titan roared as it kept swinging the boulder around violently.

"I don't think this is part of the act." Echo said as the security guards soon showed up and tried to stop this.

But the Titan then threw the boulder at them, breaking upon impact and knocking out the guards. Everyone soon started panicking and running towards the exit with the hacker just being around outside, still having a good view with what's going on. He only chuckled as he continued playing around with more of the controls.

The two teams were about to leave before noticing Iona still in there, begging for help.

"Guys, we can't leave yet! That person is still trapped in there!" Ruby pointed out as the others nodded in acknowledgement before pulling out their weapons.

The Titan roared as it opened the shipping crate and started using its trunk to toss out them out individually, but at a rapid speed.

Yang, Blake, and Echo fired at the ones that were heading towards them while Weiss summoned a big enough glyph to act as a shield with the others taking shelter. Tiber and Ruby moved a bit to the sides of the glyph and had their weapons in sniper mode and aimed for the joints.

Upon firing, the two sharpshooters noticed that bullets bounced off the joints.

"They really built this thing to last." Tiber remarked.

"The woman did say that the Titan was built for heavy duty lifting so reinforced plating really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone." Weiss remarked.

"Then we just need to use raw force." Kiba said as he transformed the Orga Stlanzer into its sword form while Tiber set Bianca back into lance mode.

Ruby nodded as she looked at the three girls that were firing at the bricks.

"Girls, keep it! If anything, just cover us!"

The three nodded as the other four charged towards the robotic elephant. Weiss and Kiba were attacking the middle and rear areas while Ruby and Tiber had the front. The Titan dropped the bricks and grabbed a girder, using it as a makeshift weapon. It tried swatting the two away while kicking Kiba into the wall with its rear legs.

"Kiba!" Tiber called, letting his guard down for a few moments which was enough for him to get swatted out the building.

Meanwhile outside, Makoto, who was driving around on Auto Vajin packed with the three belts, had been looking for his teammates for a good few minutes now. He heard the noise of the fight not too long ago and went to investigate.

He parked Auto Vajin nearby and got off as he saw Tiber thrown out of the window.

"Okay…." He then looked at the robotic motorcycle. "Stay here and guard the belts."

"Yes, Master." Auto Vajin replied as Makoto walked up to his teammate.

"Hey Tiber, you okay?" Makoto asked

"Yeah, I'll be fine…" He replied as he used Bianca to help stand up again.

"What happened?"

Tiber pointed at the window and Makoto can see the fight going on inside.

"Alright, I get the gist of it." He said as he took out his sword and the two guys rushed in. For Ruby, she was on the windshield of the robot, who was trying to shake her off. Ruby stayed on as best as she can as she transformed Crescent Rose back into sniper mode before aiming. She gestured for Iona to get down, which the latter complied to.

BANG! BANG!

She shot a few holes into the cockpit before transforming her weapon again and break open it easily. Ruby grabbed Iona and leaped out before getting Iona outside, just passing Makoto and Tiber.

Makoto and Tiber joined in on the up-close fight with Weiss and Kiba while the three girls now focused their bullets on the machine itself. Weiss was on top of its back before plunging her rapier into it with Kiba joining suit right behind her.

The hacker moved a bit farther away, but can still see what was going enough. Leo, who was handling a job for Roman, noticed what was going on between the hacker and the Titan under his control.

"Interesting…" He said as he watched.

"Alright, let's see you guys handle this." He said as he made the robot even more aggressive, even doing a hard charge at the group. Weiss and Kiba barely held on as monster of a robot was now outside.

Ruby then looked at Iona.

"You said you piloted this thing during beta testing, right? Did you guys have an emergency shutdown procedure for something like this?" Ruby asked and Iona nodded.

"Y-Yes, we have an emergency procedure for something like this." She explained as she then gave Ruby a key. "We have a failsafe power panel right where the tail emerges. It's a common thing to have in almost all of our robots, regardless if it's on the body or control room. You'll need that key to open it."

Ruby nodded in acknowledgement as she soon joined the others.

"Guys, we need to move its tail-!" Ruby said before being knocked aside by the trunk.

"Ruby!" Makoto and Yang called as the former went after her while Yang leaped onto the robot's face.

"How about I give you something to try to smack!?" Yang asked as her eyes went red in anger as she repetitively kept bashing the robot's face.

For Makoto, he ran to where Ruby was about to land and caught the girl in his arms.

"You okay?" Makoto asked as he was now carrying her bridal style.

Ruby looked at the position she was in and blushed immensely as she soon nodded. She then saw the robot's rampage again, not being taken to a public street. Ruby then took the key out as Makoto set her down.

"We need to use this key to activate the failsafe." Ruby explained. "It's right where the tail is."

Makoto nodded and looked at everyone.

"Guys, we need to get that tail off it." Makoto said as he and his girlfriend rushed back into the battle.

"We need to start by keeping it steady! Weiss! Blake!" Ruby called and said girls looked at her. They nodded in understanding as Weiss used her weapon to encase the front two legs in ice while Blake used hers to tied up the rear.

The Titan struggled to move while Makoto looked at the Setimus twins.

"Get it loose." He said as they nodded.

The two shot around the tail, loosening it before Makoto looked at Kiba next.

"Yank it."

"Understood." He said as he took hold of the tail and pulled hard on it. He struggled for a bit before it finally came off, revealing the control panel mentioned.

Makoto helped Ruby to it where she plugged in the key. The small panel opened, revealing the kill-switch for the Titan. Ruby immediately flipped, causing the machine to die down. She sighed in relief as she got off and met with the others while Yang just gave it one last punch to the face.

(With the hacker)

The hacker noticed this as police was starting to appear on scene along with SIC employees. He was about to get away before bumping into Leo.

"Uh, hello?"

"I've seen what you've done and I have to say, I'm a bit impressed." Leo admitted with a smirk on his face. "I mean, hacking a new product when it's not even out yet. How about you work for me?"

"Work? Sorry, not interested. I was only in on this because I wanted revenge on what SIC did to me." The hacker said.

"Oh no, I insist." The Dark Rider said. "I don't know what kind of work is there for a hacker like you, but I can pay you. I can pay you really well."

"That so?"

"I swear it. Though, I have to ask, are you unique? In terms of transforming?"

"Pardon?" The hacker asked in confusion.

"Oh nothing, but…just to be sure." Leo then pulled out a switchblade and stabbed the hacker in the gut.

The hacker seemed to be surprised as he seemingly died before jolting back to life with gray eyes.

(With the teams)

The teams were catching their breath as the police was closing off the scene of the attack while SIC personnel were bringing the Titan's body into a containment unit and Iona was talking over her Scroll, most likely with her superiors.

Meanwhile, Makoto gave YTE their belts before dismissing Auto Vajin. Makoto then looked at Kiba.

"To activate, use code 0-5-6. To revert back, use the same code." Makoto explained, making the former Dark Rider nod in acknowledgement.

They soon saw Iona backing her head up a bit, showing that she's getting a small headache from the yelling she's been getting. She soon hung up before approaching the team.

"Thanks for what happened. Could have gone a whole lot worse." Iona said.

"Don't sweat it, we were just happy to help." Ruby replied with a smile on her face.

"Though it didn't look like your superiors aren't happy with the incident."

"I just can't help but wonder who'd do this, especially since the Titan is our latest model in production. Anyways, R&D and Security will be figuring that out while I have to fill out reports regarding the incident. I should be more thankful that I didn't lose my job." Iona remarked as she then went through her pockets. "Also, my bosses want to award you for helping stop the incident before it can get any worse."

She then pulled out passes.

"What are those?"

"Those are SIC resort passes."

"You guys have a resort?" Echo asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It helps showing that our robotics can do almost everything." Iona replied. "Anyways, those passes will grant you a 2-day all-paid trip to said resort. They'll even cover the ferry trip."

"Ferry trip?"

"Yes, our resort is located on a neighboring island not too far from the Kingdom of Vale with a lovely small city next door." Iona answered. "We were originally planning to give these out in a raffle after the Titan showcasing, but that's not gonna happen with what happened. It'd be a shame to let them go to waste. A fitting reward."

"Wow, thanks." Yang said with grin as Makoto just stared at it.

'No, thank you for helping. The ferry that heads to the island usually shows up around 10 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM. Now, I have to help wrap things up here. Enjoy your day!" Iona said as she went to speak to the officers there.

"This is awesome!" Echo remarked with a smile. "We should use these tomorrow!"

"Yeah, we should! It'd be a great part of the break to spend before the second term starts." Yang smiled.

"I did miss reading on the shoreline." Blake mused to herself.

"I don't see why not." Kiba said with Tiber nodding in agreement.

"Well having some fun would some good." Weiss said.

"…" Makoto said nothing as he just stared at his pass.

"Makoto?" Ruby called, getting his attention. "What do you say? Tomorrow sounds good?"

"O-Oh, yeah! Sounds great!" Makoto said with a forced smile which Kiba caught.

"Great! We should get going to get some beach supplies!" Ruby said with her team nodding in agreement. "See you tomorrow!"

As RWBY walked off, Kiba looked at Makoto.

"You seemed off about this, Inui. What's wrong?"

"Well, uh…I'm a little embarrassed to say this but…I've never been to a beach, let alone a beach resort." Makoto said, surprising the rest of his team.

"Seriously?" Echo asked with an incredulous expression on her face.

"You guys know what my childhood was like. And after I've escaped from Smart Brain, I was always focused on training to be a better Faiz." Makoto explained. "Heck, even Hal offered me a few times to try to go to the beach. I've always turned him down."

"So, you don't even own swimming trunks?" Tiber asked.

"I've been in a pool and the lake before so yeah." Makoto replied.

"You've been to a pool and lake, but not the beach?" Echo asked with her eyebrow raised again.

"W-Well I had to learn to swim somehow!" Makoto argued as Kiba walked up to him and patted him on the back.

"Don't worry about it. It's a lot fun and can be relaxing at times." Kiba assured.

"I bet you can't wait to see Ruby in a bikini~!" Echo teased, making Makoto blush while Tiber lightly elbowed his sister.

The four just laughed as they soon left for the docks to get to Beacon while Leo and the revived hacker watched them go from the sidelines.

"Now that sounds like a good opportunity to take them out." Leo stated as the hacker looked at Leo with a doubtful look.

"Are you serious? I know that SIC has a control room for all their bots but getting to the location and finding said room itself is gonna be tricky." The hacker said.

"Oh, leave that to me." Leo replied with a smirk. "What's your name again?"

"Morgan Doyle."

"Well Morgan, you focus on honing your new 'abilities' while I focus on finding that control room. I'll pick you up when it's all ready."

"Fair enough, I can't wait to take further revenge on SIC." Morgan said with a delighted expression on his face.

(The next day)

It was now 10 AM and team RWBY was at the pier with their bags., waiting for MYTE to show up so they can all get on the ferry which had just docked. The four then showed up on their bikes with Kiba riding in the sidecar of Side Basshar.

"I really want my own bike someday." Kiba commented as they parked and climbed out of their vehicles before grabbing their bags which was packed on their respective bikes.

"Morning, girls!" Tiber greeted. "We aren't too late, are we?"

Weiss shook her head.

"You guys are just in time!" Weiss said as Auto Vajin transformed into its robot mode.

"Hi!" Auto Vajin greeted.

"Hi Auto, morning!" Ruby greeted as Auto Vajin greeted back with a bear-crushing hug. "Wow…so strong…"

'I've learned this when watching a movie." Auto Vajin explained as Ruby was comedically struggling to breath.

"That's nice, but…can you please…put me down?" She asked as her face was turning blue before the robot lets go, allowing her to catch her breath.

"Auto. I want you to watch the other bikes while we're gone and don't give yourself away unless you have to." Makoto explained and Auto nodded.

"Do not fear Master, you can count on me!" Auto said as he gave thumbs up.

"Great, we'll be back in two days from now and if you get bored, you can look into those online movies I've had you downloaded into your systems."

Auto Vajin nodded in acknowledgement while everyone looked at Makoto.

"He's been really getting into rom-coms lately." Makoto explained as he carried his bag.

"Well, come on! We shouldn't waste any more time!" An excited Yang said as they both walked up to the booth.

Their passes got verified and were allowed to board the boat. After a short while, the ferry soon departed from the pier and started moving towards the neighboring island. After a while, the groups scattered and doing their own thing. The twins were outside the passenger area talking with Weiss. Blake and Kiba were chatting in their seated row while Ruby was sleeping, resting her head on Makoto's shoulder.

Makoto blushed and smiled, but his heart was beating fast as Ruby was on the other side of Ruby's seat. The blonde had been glaring at the young man since the entire boat trip so far.

"Don't think I've forgotten what you and her pulled off at the movie theater. I'll admit that I've taken it overboard with your team and Ruby and I talked it out. I'm not gonna punch you..."

"Are you gonna assault me?"

"No, just gonna keep an eye on you. So, don't try anything funny or…well, let's just say certain body parts are gonna feel funny. Got it?"

Makoto just nodded in fear as Yang resumed her cheerful face.

"Great! Now I can enjoy the rest of this vacation in peace!"

Soon, the ferry arrived onto the island and docked on the wooden pier. Everyone paid attention to it and started walking off when they got the chance to. As they were leaving the dock, Leo was watching them from atop a light post. Kiba stopped as he felt a familiar presence and looked back to where Leo was, only to see no one.

"Is something wrong?" Blake asked as she noticed Kiba stopping.

"No…No, I don't think so." Kiba said as he refocused on the others while still keeping his guard up.

The eight soon arrived at the resort location which seemed pretty big with several robotic animals serving as workers.

"Wow, they really use robots for almost everything." Makoto remarked.

"You get used to it." Tiber replied as the eight entered and saw several guests passing by with the front desk being manned by actual people this time.

"Well, at least we're facing actual people this time." Echo noted.

"Good, because while I can't complain the robots and their assets, this kind of job is best left to people." Weiss stated.

The eight walked up to the front desk, had their passes verified, and picked out two hotel rooms on the same floor. They soon took the elevator up onto the desire floor before looking at each other.

"Alright, so we have two days here. I was thinking that we spend the first day looking around the place while we spend the next, hitting that beach?" Ruby proposed.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Makoto stated.

"Here, here." Echo added as the others soon voiced their agreements as well.

The two teams then broke off as they went to their rooms with Echo landing face-first into the first bed she saw.

"I call dibs on this bed." Echo said as Tiber walked up to her. Unfortunately for them, the only furniture to sleep on in the hotel room was two beds and a sofa.

"Then I'm guess I'm sleeping with you again…" Tiber said to his sister as he did not wish to sleep with the guys.

"I'll just get the sofa." Kiba said.

"You sure?"

Kiba nodded the four now started to unpack.

(With RWBY)

Blake and Weiss were checking out the sight of the beach via window while Ruby and Yang were on the other side of the room talking in private.

"I know what you said to Makoto on the ferry." Ruby said with her arms on her hips in an accusatory expression.

"Come on Ruby, I'm just looking out for you." Yang replied, trying to look innocent.

"You know Makoto is a good guy so why are you so tense about me dating him…or any boy?" Ruby asked.

"Look, you're still my little sister-."

"I'm not that little compared to you! Two years!" Ruby emphasized by holding two fingers up.

"You're always my little sister to me! I just…don't want anything bad to happen you. I messed up pretty badly as a kid when we-."

"I understand what you're saying, but that's not an example you can use here." Ruby argued as she crossed her arms and her tone of voice sounding more serious. "Makoto isn't like that! He's really sweet! Please, just give him one chance!"

Yang seemed to be thinking about before seeing Ruby's Puppy Face.

"Oh, come on!"

"Please~!"

Yang tried to stay strong, but it seemed to be in vain as she just had to give in.

"Fine, I'll stop giving him my mean eye." Yang said, making Ruby smile. "But just so you know, he does anything funny to you…I will not hesitate to break his legs, with or without your approval."

Ruby sighed as this was the best that she was going to get out of her sister.

"Come on, let's go check out the rest of the island. I never been here so this could be interesting." Weiss said as she walked up to the girls with Blake behind her.

"Sure!"

(With Leo)

A hooded Leo entered a restricted area of the resort and looked over the schematics on his Psyga Phone. He had to pull a couple favors from Roman for the schematics, but so far it seemed to be paying off as the designs were clear and concise so far.

He then found a door with an electronic lock labeled, "Control Room".

Leo just examined the door and lock. While he isn't much of a tech, he does know Morgan is an extremely talented and a former employee of SIC so this shouldn't be a problem. Leo smiled as he thought all this out before summoning a Gray Mirror and leaving through it, not wanting to attract anymore attention.

(Later with the teams)

The two teams spent the rest of the day enjoying themselves as they were rooming around the city. It didn't really seem that special at first. If anything, this feels more like a watered-down version of Vale, save for the souvenir shops.

"Think we should get something for JNPR?" Makoto asked as he looked at the display window. "I do feel a bit bad that though they couldn't come with us."

"Well, to be fair, it's not like we would've expected to come here." Kiba pointed out.

They and Tiber soon saw the girls enter a clothing store.

"I think we're better off waiting here." Tiber said as he pointed at the bench right next to them.

The three guys sat down as they watched the storefront, waiting for the girls to get out.

"What do you guys think of the place?" Makoto asked as Tiber leaned back.

"Well, I honestly can't complain. I enjoy the new sights and the chance to unwind with the others. This can also be good for Echo too, she's always wanted to go somewhere new."

Makoto then looked at Kiba.

"And you?"

"We came here for the beach and boardwalk, right? I'll let you know of my opinion then." Kiba said as they had yet to experience those locations which was supposed to be tomorrow.

"Fair enough." Makoto replied.

"What about you? What do you think of this place?" Kiba asked.

"Like you said, we're mainly here for the beach and…" Makoto felt a bit anxious about tomorrow especially since he'll be spending his first time at the beach with the others, especially with Ruby. "Not to change the subject, but…what do you usually do at a beach?"

Tiber and Kiba were caught a bit offguard by the question before remembering what Makoto said about not visiting a beach before.

"Well, I guess it depends on what you like to do." Tiber explained. "Most people would usually try swimming or surfing in the ocean."

"Others would usually relax too, either in the shade from umbrellas or under the san to get a tan" Kiba continued. "People also play in the sand."

"The sand?"

"Yeah, like volleyball or making sand castles, but that part would appeal more to kids than teens like us." Kiba said as he still felt a bit weird being a teen considering he was a young adult back in his original world. One of the few perks of joining up with Dark Decade.

"So…what do you guys think I should do with Ruby?"

"Well, whatever you do, you should do it far from Yang." Tiber joked, getting a light chuckle out of Kiba. "But hey, in all seriousness, I'm sure you two will have a good time together. And, she's probably in a beach like most of us so just let her decide."

"I'm with Tiber here, I don't think it's gonna be hard to screw up a date with this kind of scenario." Kiba added.

"I guess." Makoto said as they saw the girls emerge from the store with a few bags. "You girls got clothes?"

"Just a few. Some of are just souvenirs for our friends back on the main island." Blake explained.

"What were you guys doing?" Echo asked.

"Just sitting here talking." Kiba replied.

"About what?" Ruby asked back.

"Guy stuff." Tiber answered, wanting to save Makoto some face.

The girls just stared at them and just took that as an answer.

"Come on, let's go back to the hotel. I hear there's an open buffet, but we still have to pay for our entries." Weiss said as the guys nodded as they soon started walking back the way they came.

(The next day)

The eight had to wake up early and do their usual daily morning routines before meeting up to go to the beach. Luckily for them, the resort has the quickest access to the beach which was right out the back with the boardwalk next door.

Makoto, who was in a dark shirt, black and red swimming trunks, and flip-flops, was the only one waiting outside the RWBY door as the rest of his team was still doing their morning routines before changing. Right now, it was Echo's turn for the bathroom as the other two guys were in line. He was also wearing a backpack which had basic stuff like a towel, his original outfit, beach mat, sunblock, and his Faiz belt should things go wrong.

"Makoto?"

Makoto looked to see Ruby, who was completely enveloped in her cloak, except for the head.

"Ruby, I thought you changed."

"I am. It's just really cold in here before of the air conditioning in this building." Ruby explained as she looked excited. "So, you ready for the beach?

"Yeah, but…Ruby, I have a bit of a confession to make. I don't really know what to do at a beach. I've never been to one." He explained, surprising his girlfriend.

"You've never been to one?"

Makoto shook his head.

"Never had the time or seen the point until now."

"Well that changes things, come on!" Ruby said confidently as she grabbed Makoto's hand, dragging him down the hall.

"What about the others!?"

"They know where we're going besides Yang and Blake still need to get the beach stuff ready!" Ruby said as the two entered the elevator and took it down.

The two took some light breakfast and head outside. The walk to the beach wasn't that long as they ended up on the beach. Since it was mid-morning, there wasn't really a lot of people so it was easy to find a suitable spot to set up.

After setting up the beach mat and settling down a bit, Makoto took his shirt off which revealed a decent muscular build with some faded scars from his childhood. He was placing sunblock on himself as Ruby looked at Makoto before she took a deep breath and undid her cloak, revealing her body.

Makoto looked at her and blushed as she was wearing a black and red bikini outfit. The more he stared at her, the more he felt entranced.

"W-What do you think?"

"You, uh, you look good! Yeah!" Makoto said, snapping himself out of his daze.

"Thanks!" Ruby nervously stated as she grabbed the bottle of sunblock and started using it on herself. "Truth be told, my original swimsuit was a one-piece, but I forgot about it in Beacon. I had to buy a replacement in that store we went to yesterday."

"I see…"

"There you guys are!" Yang said, who appeared to be wearing a yellow bikini top and jean short.

The couple looked over to see Yang plant the umbrella and lay out a couple chairs as everyone else appeared and seemed to join in on setting up the spot.

Kiba, in a dark shirt and gray swimming trunks, lastly placed the cooler underneath the umbrella next to the bags which had their Rider belts and normal outfits. RWBY also brought their own bags that their own stuff, clothes, and weapons in case anything nasty happens.

"So, what you guys wanna do next?" Echo asked as she was wearing a blue tanktop with a black pair of swim shorts.

"Don't know about you, but I'm just gonna lay here, read my book, and enjoy the sound of the waves." Blake, in a black bikini two-piece and purple see-through sarong, said as she laid on her back in one of the beach chairs as she started reading her book.

"Same, it's been a rough time for me lately as you all know. So maybe lying down and just forgetting about stuff, even just for a bit is relaxing enough for me." Kiba said as he lied down in the neighboring chair.

"Well, I guess I'm going to be setting up the volleyball net!" Yang said as she took out the rolled-up net that she bought in the store yesterday.

"They sell volleyball nets?" Kiba asked.

"They sell all kinds of stuff." Yang replied as she looked at Weiss, who was wearing a frill-styled white bikini outfit. "Hey Weiss, wanna play on my team?"

"I haven't actually played volleyball before so I don't know if it's a good idea." Weiss answered.

"Come on, it'll be fun." Tiber, in a brown tanktop and light blue swimming trunks, insisted before looking at his twin. "What do you think?"

"I think Yang is gonna go down…hard." Echo smiled with a competitive smile.

"Oh, it is on!" Yang replied back before looking at Weiss. "Come on, please~!"

Weiss thought about it before sighing.

"Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt."

"That's what I'm talking about!" Yang cheered as she then looked at Ruby and Makoto. Initially, she had squinted eyes before Ruby forcefully cleared her throat, snapping her out of the stare. "So, uh…you guys want to play too?"

"Thanks, but no thanks! Makoto and I are planning to go swimming, right?" Ruby asked and Makoto nodded as he just wanted to get away from Yang at the moment.

"Yeah, let's."

"Great!" Ruby cheerfully said as the two held hands and started walking towards the ocean.

(With Leo and Morgan)

In the same hallway that the control room was in, a Gray Mirror appeared and out came Leo and Morgan.

"Was that your Semblance?" Morgan asked as he looked around, making sure there was no security around.

"No, just a little handy trick I've learned." Leo said as they approached the control door. "You got this?"

"I got this." Morgan replied as he took an electronic device out and latched it onto the door. It appeared to have short-circuited the lock, opening the door. "After you."

Leo smirked as he entered the door, catching the two technicians and one security guard offguard.

"Who the hell are you-!?"

WHAM!

Leo gave the guard a good punch to the face, immediately knocking him out and scaring the other two technicians.

"No one good."

Just as one of the technicians was about to call for additional security, a revolver was pressed against the back of his head.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Morgan warned as he pulled out a second revolver and aimed at the other technician.

"W-What do you want?" One of the technicians asked, obviously scared to death at the sight of a gun aimed at him.

"This is the control room for all the robots in this building, right?" Leo asked.

"Y-Yeah, but we don't have total control over all of them. We can only call them in for maintenance."

"Well, I guess that makes you useless then." Leo said as he pulled out one of his tonfa.

"W-What my friend is trying to say that we don't have the clearance to take total control. We're just entry-level technicians. The general manager would have the clearance in the event of an emergency or hostile takeover…like what you're trying to do with us." The second technician explained as Leo put his weapon away.

"And where would I find the general manager?"

"H-His office is not that far! Down the hall and into the left from here! I-I can show you!" The first technician said before Leo took him by the arm.

"Alright, you can take me there. Morgan, you watch over this place. Make sure that no one comes in."

"Got it." Morgan answered as Leo and the first technician left.

(With Makoto and Ruby)

"So, Yang has been hesitant on giving me the evil eye. That you're doing?" Makoto asked as he looked back, seeing WY and TE enjoying themselves playing volleyball but Weiss was stumbling a bit since she never played the game before. He could also see that behind them was a napping Kiba and a reading Blake though it did seem that the latter took occasional glances at the former with a small smirk.

"I had to say it to Yang. She can't just keep treating me like a kid all the time." Ruby said as she kicked some of the sand out of frustration. She then took a deep breath and resumed possessing her usual cheerful attitude. "Come on, enough about that! We're at the beach supposed to be having a good time! So, let's have a good time!"

Makoto smiled as he eased up on the tension.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm definitely too worried. Though the only other thing I'm worried about is the minor heated pain I'm getting from walking on the sand in bare feet." Makoto joked.

"Seriously, that's your second concern?"

"Come on, you know it's my first time on a beach! So, I'm just gonna let you take over from here."

"Don't worry! I'll give you the best first time on a beach ever!" Ruby said as she looked around. 'Now what would be a fun thing to do…'

As she thought of that, the two wandered near the water. About knees' deep in it. The couple shivered a bit from the cold as their bodies gotten used to it. Makoto then looked at Ruby with a curious look.

"Okay, we're here. What do you want to do first?"

"This!" Ruby smiled as she playfully pushed Makoto into the water, making a good splash. The black and red-haired girl laughed as a fully drenched Makoto stood up with a shocked expression.

He looked at Ruby before gaining a vicious smile.

"Oh, you wanna play like that? Then, here!" He then got up and used his hands to splash water back, making Ruby step back a bit though she did keep giggling at her boyfriend's expense.

"Come on, try to get me!" She teased as she wandered deeper into the water while she was splashing Makoto back with her hands.

"You're on!"

They ran further in up to the point where the water depth was past slightly above their abdomen area. Makoto saw how deep the water was and smiled as he used this to his advantage by swimming under.

Ruby soon stopped as she noticed the lack of water being splashed on her. She turned and didn't see Makoto anywhere.

"Makoto! Makoto! Makoto, where are you!?" Ruby called out before Makoto emerged right in front of her.

"Here!" He said as he tackled her into the water. The two were underwater for a few moments before both of them swam back up, laughing. They soon stopped after a while. "You were right, this was fun."

"I told you!" Ruby said before looking back at the others. "You wanna go back for now? Try some other beach-related stuff?"

Makoto nodded.

(With Leo)

Leo soon arrived back at the control room with the general manager knocked out and being carried over the shoulder with the technician he's taken being forced to take the front. Leo tossed the manager down and searched his belongings.

"So, what am I looking for?" The Dark Rider asked the technician.

"S-Should be a blue keycard in the man's jacket."

Leo nodded as he searched the older man's jacket, getting blue keycard out from the inner pocket. He handed it to Morgan and the former SIC hacker took it. The latter inserted it into a special red slot nearby and started typing away at the keyboard.

After a short while of typing, Morgan cracked a wicked smile.

"I've done it. Control over all SIC robots within the resort is ours." Morgan announced.

"Good, get them ready to destroy this place. You have your revenge and I can draw out my real prey." Leo ordered and Morgan nodded as he started inputting the commands.

(With the teams)

After drying up a bit, Makoto and Ruby joined up on the volleyball game. Unfortunately for RWY, because of Weiss's lack of experience, her team was on the losing end of the game. The score right now was MTE with 5 points and RWY with 2.

Right now, Ruby was serving.

"Two to five!" Ruby announced as she served, the ball now heading to the other side of the net.

Echo set the ball to Tiber, who bumped it. The ball flew back to RWY's side as Yang, who was in the front. She jumped and spiked it, the ball now flying towards Makoto. He tried to bump it, but he missed and the ball touched the ground.

The girls cheered at their win as Makoto picked up the ball and tossed it back to them with Yang catching.

"Maybe our luck in this game is starting to turn!" Yang cheered as she handed off the ball to her sister.

"Okay, ready?" Ruby asked as they all got prepared. "Three to five!"

But as she served it…

"AAAHHHH!" A scream rang through the air, getting everyone's attention as the ball had just landed onto MYE's side of the net.

They saw several bystanders running away as the robot dogs chassed them away. They started barking at them, tackling them, and even giving serious bite marks.

"What the hell is going on here!?" Makoto questioned as a couple of the SIC bird-styled drones noticed the group and dove in for them.

Makoto and Kiba immediately noticed this and grabbed their respective phones before typing a code, pressing Enter, and transforming them into their gun modes.

"SINGLE MODE!"

The two fired and they hit in vital areas of the drones, making them go offline and crashing near them.

"Are these things malfunctioning?" Blake said in shock as Makoto analyzed the situation.

"No, there's too many of them. And look, their attacks seemed coordinated." Makoto noted as more of the robots seemed to notice this and charge.

Ruby quickly went to her bag and pulled out Crescent Rose where she immediately aimed and opened fire, killing 3 robot dogs while Makoto and Kiba shot down 2 more bird drones.

"Okay, we need to find out what's going on!" Makoto said and the others nodded in agreement.

They took their bags and ran into the public restrooms where they changed into their proper combat attire. After meeting up and dealing with a few more robots, they entered the building where…

"Well, well, I was hoping you'd come!" Leo's voice said over the intercom as Kiba immediately recognized it.

"Leo…" Kiba then noticed a surveillance camera nearby and immediately recognized what was going on. "You're behind all this!?"

"Mostly. Dark Decade has authorized me to do whatever I deem necessary to you. You know what that means." Leo announced while Kiba still had that pissed off look.

"You want to fight me, go ahead. But shut down these robots! You don't have to bring innocent people's lives into this!" Kiba pleaded and was met with a few seconds worth of silence.

"…I'll be waiting for you in Ballroom A. Come alone. If you don't, I'll have these robots self-destruct in this building and take all off us to hell!" Leo instructed as he signed off of the speakers.

Echo looked at Kiba.

"You're not actually going to listen to him, are you?" Echo asked.

"I don't have a choice. Besides, I still have a score to settle with him." Kiba said determinately.

"Let me come!" Blake insisted and Kiba waved her request off.

"You can't. You heard what Leo said he'll do." Kiba pointed out.

"I'll stick to the shadows then. I'm the stealthiest out of all of us. If things go wrong, I'll intervene and after that, we'd have to hit him hard and fast so he doesn't give the self-destruct order." Blake said and Kiba thought about it. This does sound ideal as he would have backup on standby, but this does seem incredibly risky. And the plan for attack also sounds incredibly useful.

"I don't know…"

"I'm going to follow you either way." Blake added, which made Kiba groan a bit before nodding in agreement.

"Alright, but don't stay too close. We don't know if he's watching the other surveillance cameras." Kiba instructed as Blake nodded.

Kiba looked at the directory before he started making his way to Ballroom A. Blake waited a short while before she started following him by entering a vent nearby.

Everyone else looked at each other.

"Okay, so while those two take care of the mastermind behind all of this, we need to figure out how to deal with these robots." Makoto said as Ruby recalled what Iona said about the failsafe installed in every robot.

"Iona said that the robots have an emergency shutdown as a failsafe linked to the built-in controls." Ruby recalled.

"But there's too many robots to take care of the built-in controls. Though I don't doubt that there's probably a failsafe in the main control room." Makoto guessed. "It's still worth a look though."

"So, what do we do then?" Yang asked.

Makoto and Ruby looked at each other before trying to come up with a game plan.

"Alright, there's six of us so we're gonna have to split up to find that control room. It's basically like finding a needle in a VERY big haystack." Makoto explained. "And if this involves that Rider, then that means he probably has an Orphnoch working with him."

"Then those two teams need to at least have one Rider on them." Weiss figured.

"Right." Ruby said before looking at Makoto. "So first team is Makoto, Echo, and I-."

"Actually, I'll go with you instead!" Yang insisted as she stepped forward. Usually, Makoto and Ruby would question her, but given the situation that they are in, they really have no time to argue so they just went along with it.

"Alright, fine. Team one is Makoto, Yang and I while the other team is Weiss and the Setimus twins." Ruby pointed out. "Team one will look in the east side of the building while the other team heads west. Got it?"

"Got it!" They confirmed as the six split and went off in their assigned directions.

(With Kiba)

Kiba used the public directory and entered Ballroom A where he sees most of the tables cleared out with Leo being in the center.

"You've always had a flair for the dramatic." Kiba said as he saw a certain pair of amber eyes in one of the vents.

"I've figured that if you're gonna do a job, you might as well do it in style." Leo noted as he took out his belt and placed it on.

Kiba remained on guard as he placed his belt on next.

"So Dark Decade finally confirmed my betrayal, huh? Good, because I couldn't stand you the whole time that I was working with you. Memory restored or not."

"Feeling's mutual, though it was fun to play you like a fiddle." Leo admitted as he took both tonfa out and charged. Kiba played on the defensive as he dodged Leo's attempts to attack before kicking him back.

Kiba immediately transformed his sword into gun mode and fired. Leo ran around Kiba in an attempt to dodge his shots. After dodging another shot, Leo tossed one of his tonfa at Kiba, hitting him the chest and stunning him momentarily.

Leo used this to his advantage by charging at Kiba and kicking him onto a table. Blake winced at that as she was holding the urge to fight back.

(With Makoto, Ruby, and Yang)

The three through the hall of their side of the building, taking out robots and helping people along the way.

"Now, where would a control room for robots be?" Yang wondered as the three stopped to look around.

"Hard to say. The manager's office might be a good place to start." Makoto guessed as they went back the way they came, eventually coming back to the front desk.

They went past it into the offices right behind. Unfortunately, the manager's office was not around there.

"Damn it." Makoto cursed as he and the others noticed a sign on the door, which ultimately indicated where the higher-ups would be.

According to it, the manager's office would be on the fourth floor.

"Let's go!" Ruby said as the other two nodded in agreement before taking off.

(With Weiss and the Setimus twins)

These three were clearing out robots and helping any injured bystanders that were pinned down by them. They soon made it into the security wind of the resort, which is a home to a whole bunch of robots.

"Oh, for goodness sake…" Weiss muttered as she stabbed a charging robot dog while Echo was slashing constantly at the robotic monkeys.

Tiber stayed in the rear and sniped any robots that in the far back of the force that the girls were facing. They soon managed to get some clear out all the robots while Tiber was checking the security terminal nearby.

"Did you find anything?" Weiss asked as she approached him.

"Trying." Tiber replied as he was looking for information regarding the location of the control room.

As Echo sighed and kicked around the robots' remains while waiting before she noticed a pair of locked double doors. She slowly approached it as she heard something banging on it from the other side.

"What the…" She took a closer look while the other two just continued looking at the terminal.

BANG! BANG!

"Echo, can you keep that down?" Tiber said without withdrawing his face from the monitor.

"Uh…"

"Shhh!" Weiss said as she gestured Echo to be quiet as Tiber gotten the information.

"Got it! Fourth Floor!" Tiber said as the door finally opened, or rather, they flew opened.

Echo dodged the flying doors just in time to see two robotic gorillas and a bear emerge from the room with predatory gazes at the three.

"Uh…Tiber, what are they?" Echo asked as her twin immediately looked into it.

"Apparently, they're…uh, heavy security bots." Tiber answered as he gotten the information from the terminal.

"Seriously? NOW, we face the security bots!?" Echo questioned as the robot bear charged at her. "Uh oh…"

The bear tackled her through the wall and into the employee locker room.

"Echo!" Tiber called just as he barely blocked one of the gorilla's punches with Bianca while Weiss dodged the bunch of another.

The white-haired girl spun the revolver chamber in Mytrenaster and selected red Dust. When her blade charged, Weiss leaped back and readied herself.

"Tiber, get down!" She said as she launched a horizontal wave of fire with Tiber dodge-rolling out of the way, the attack hitting the two robotic gorillas.

The attack left a bad burn on them, but they were still operational.

(With Kiba)

Kiba saw Leo in the air, about to plunge his tonfa into him before the former rolled out of the way. He immediately followed it up by shooting, which Leo countered by leaping off the table and kicking it down, using it as makeshift cover.

Kiba transformed his rifle back into a sword as he slowly approached the table, not seeing Leo make a move. When he finally got a good view, he noticed that Leo was missing.

"Gotcha!" Leo said as he appeared from behind, reading to swing.

Kiba react as he immediately went into his Orphnoch Dash Form with his belt still attached, and kicked the Dark Rider in the chest with his hooves. The Horse Oprhnoch transformed his legs back to normal as Leo chuckled.

"You really think that you can change this world for the better!? Our old world nearly extinguished humanity, what makes you think things would go differently!?" Leo asked as he got up.

"You're right, it is a big gamble that I have to make." The Horse Orphnoch said as he took out his phone. "But what dream isn't?" He asked as he entered the code into his phone.

"STANDING BY!"

"Henshin!"

"COMPLETE!"

Gold neon lines surrounded the Orphnoch's body as he transformed into Orga. The black and gold Rider charged and tried slashing Leo, who dodged every single one of those attacks.

"Then, let me show you why it's a losing gamble." Leo said as he too took his phone out and entered a certain code.

"STANDING BY!"

Orga immediately placed his guard up as Leo smiled.

"Henshin!"

"COMPLETE!"

Leo transformed into Psyga, who pointed at Orga.

"Let the game begin." Psyga said as he plugged his tonfa into his jetpack and hovered a few feet, firing at him

Orga braced himself as his heavy armor took most of the damage. Psyga was chuckling to himself as he felt something hooked onto his jetpack. He turned to see Blake using Gambol Shroud's ribbon-styled rope to attempt to ground him.

"You didn't listen to my instructions!" Psyga protested.

"Learned by watching you." Orga simply replied as Pysga tried shooting Blake, but she merely took cover behind a downed table.

As Psyrga was trying to get her off, Orga transformed his sword yet again, aimed, and fired twice. The shots got the jetpack in the thrusters, causing them to give out.

"No! No! No!" Psyga protested as he took his tonfa and detached, causing Blake to retract her weapon.

Orga transformed his weapon again as charged and attempt to swat Psyga away, only for the latter to jump away instead.

(With Makoto, Ruby, and Yang)

The three just finished climbing the stairs to the fourth floor since they couldn't really trust the elevators at the moments. Upon arriving, they had to deal with a small horde of robots with Makoto and Yang clearing out the front line while Ruby cleared out any that would be behind.

After clearing out some of the hall, they rushed into the manager's office to find it empty but there were obvious signs of a struggle.

"Looks like that other Rider took care of him." Yang remarked as they soon heard the sounds of loud typing nearby. They exited the officer and took right into a corridor before following the sound and seeing the control room. Morgan noticed them in a nearby reflection with the technicians, manager, and security guard out cold.

"Well, well…looks like you managed to find me." Morgan remarked as he stood up from the chair after setting the robots into auto-attack mode.

"If I were you, I'd step away from the console." Ruby warned as she had Crescent Rose aimed at Morgan in sniper mode.

"Oh, I would, but one problem…" Morgan trailed off as he quickly withdrew a revolver and shot the console, destroying most of the controls. "…it's broken."

The three didn't have time to process the shock of it as Morgan immediately took his other revolver out and opened fired on the three. The teens took cover as Morgan stopped to reload, getting Yang to come out and tackle the former.

The two team leaders soon ran out next where they both examined the wrecked console.

"Oh come on!" Ruby got out.

"How the hell are we supposed to stop the robots now!?" Makoto questioned.

Ruby struggled to think of what to do before she remembered.

"It's a common thing to have in almost all of our robots, regardless if it's on the body or control room."

Ruby then started fist bumping the terminal until a certain part of it felt hallow. She looked at Makoto.

"Makoto, can you tear this open for me?" She asked as Makoto nodded.

He punched it a few times before tearing it off, revealing a panel that is similar to the one on the Titan prototype.

"I need a key!" Ruby instructed next as the two looked over to the downed manager. They ran over and started searching him while Morgan noticed what was going on.

"I'm not going to let you!" Morgan said as he kicked Yang off before transforming into an Orphnoch that looked like a cowboy but also had a theme of a bat. He also had sickles on the back of his shoulders.

He aimed a revolver at Ruby and pulled the trigger.

"Look out!" Makoto called out as he pushed Ruby to the side and got shot in the shoulder. "Son of a bitch!" He cursed as he held his bleeding shoulder.

"Makoto!" Ruby called as she checked on him. She looked incredibly distraught as Makoto assured her that he'll be fine.

Seeing how Makoto took a bullet and Ruby's reaction after, Yang's eyes lit red as she gritted her teeth in anger.

"You bastard!" Yang said as she charged back and landed a volley of punches with extra damage added from Ember Celica's shotgun blasts. She eventually managed to punch the Bat Orphnoch out of the room before kicking him out the window as well. The blonde followed suit as Ruby checked on Makoto.

"Are you gonna be okay?" Ruby asked with a concerned look on her face.

"Don't worry about me. I gotta help your sister." Makoto said as he forced himself to stand up while placing on his belt. "You need to shut down the robots."

He took his phone out and inserted a certain code before pressing Enter.

"STANDING BY!"

"Henshin!"

"COMPLETE!"

Makoto jumped out the window as he transformed into Faiz mid-air. Meanwhile, Ruby looked back and searched the manager as she managed to find the key inside his other pocket.

"Yes!" Ruby muttered before hearing growling behind as she turned to see more robotic dogs growling at her. "Oh great…" She let out as she placed the key in her pocket.

(With Weiss and the twins)

Echo recovered as she noticed the robotic bear growling at her. The girl gripped her Twins tightly before opening fire as the robot charged. Echo seemingly charged too until at the last second where she jumped and landed on the robot's back.

The bear was moving around violently in an attempt to throw the female twin off before the girl stabbed her weapons into the robot's head. The bear roared again before shutting down from the damage as Echo removed the blades.

"Well, that was easier than I though." Echo remarked as she went back through the hole in the wall as she saw Tiber and Weiss still struggling with the gorillas.

Tiber shot one of them in an arm joint, causing said robot to lose an arm before it roared in anger. The gorilla pointed its remaining arm at Tiber which opened up, revealing two mounted guns and opened fire at him.

"Oh shit!" Tiber cured as he took cover as Weiss noticed. She pointed Mytrenaster at the gorilla while the fire Dust was still selected in the revolver. Weiss summoned a glyph in front of the blade before shooting fireballs from it.

The projectiles flew and made a direct hit towards the guns, causing an explosion which resulted in the loss of another arm for the gorilla robot.

Tiber then followed it up with a shot to the head from Bianca in sniper mode. They soon saw the other gorilla bot roared and was ready to attack the two until…

"Hey guys!" Echo said as she got on the robot's back and stuck her blades in them. The robot tried to grab her while Tiber placed another well-placed headshot, causing the machine to land on its stomach deactivated. "Well, that was fun."

Echo got off as the three met up.

"So…fourth floor, right?"

(With Orga and Blake)

Orga and Blake immediately try slashing Psyga, only for their attacks to be blocked. Psyga seemed to struggle, but he managed to push the two back before noticing his downed jetpack. The white Rider had an idea as he kicked it towards Blake's direction, entered a code on his phone, and pressed Enter.

The jetpack activated and flew towards Blake. The Faunus girl braced herself as she used her Semblance to summon a clone to take a hit as she rolled away. The clone dispelled upon contact, causing the jetpack to crash and explode into the wall.

Blake recovered before Psyga appeared right in her face and landed a good punch, throwing her into a table and knocking her out a bit.

"Blake!" Orga called as he angrily looked at Psyga.

"Now, it's a one-on-one battle. Like I wanted." Psyga mused as Orga took his phone out.

"I'm not going to let you hurt anyone today!" Orga said defiantly as he pressed 0-5-6 on his phone and then Enter.

"STANDING BY!"

"SWIFT MODE!"

Psyga seemed a bit confused as he heard and saw steam being released from Orga's armor as the latches on the bulky chest undid themselves. The black and gold Rider took the latches and lifted them up, removing the big chestplate and the shoulderpads that were attached. This revealed a smaller partial chestplate with the red core still in its place, but surrounded by some of the suit's circuitry instead.

They fell onto the floor, causing a huge dent from the large weight of it all. Orga's skirt armor also energized and retracted itself into Orga's belt. This was Orga's slimmer Swift Mode.

"Well…that's new." Psyga remarked.

"Benefits of friendship." Orga answered as he transformed his sword into its dagger mode, held it in a reverse grip, and charged while Psyga charged as well. But as right before they can clash, Orga slid underneath Psyga before standing up and immediately slashing him.

Psyga was a bit in shock as Orga shouldn't be able to do that so quickly. However, his thoughts were cut off as Orga was landing a series of rapid slashes thanks to the new range of movement he gained from this mode. Psyga placed one of his Tonfa away as he took out his phone in gun mode.

"SINGLE MODE!"

Psyga opened fire, but Orga was dodging the attacks instead of bracing for them like he usually does in his normal armor. Orga then transformed his sword into rifle mode and opened fire, hitting Psyga right in the helmet.

Psyga cried out in pain as he was eventually force onto the ground with his armor smoking and his visor a bit cracked. Orga stared at him as he recalled a conversation about this form.

(Last night)

The twins were already fast asleep in their bed as Kiba stared at his belt before looking at Makoto.

"You never did tell me much about this new mode."

"I call it Swift Mode. I got the idea after studying your armor for a time and though, 'Wow, this looks really bulky'. I'm surprised you were able to move." Makoto stated as he was watching some late TV from his bed.

Kiba chuckled a bit.

"Yeah, well…guess I got used to it."

"Swift Mode is supposed to give your armor a sleeker look, give you more range of movement and reaction time. Sure, it's gonna offer a whole lot less defense compared to your default form, but that really shouldn't be a problem if you hit hard and fast."

"Hard and fast, huh? Got it." Kiba acknowledged as he gripped his Orga Phone.

(Present)

"Now, no more games!" Orga said as he transformed his dagger back into its rifle mode before placing his Mission Memory in it.

"READY!"

Orga immediately pressed Enter on his phone.

"EXCEED CHARGE!"

Orga took aim and pulled the trigger, launching a golden energy cone. However, right before it can strike Psyga, said Dark Ride summoned a Gray Mirror behind him and ran through it. The portal disappeared after, causing the cone to hit the wall an vanish.

"Kuso…" Orga cursed in his native tongue as he saw Blake starting to recover. "Blake, are you okay?" He asked as he ran up to her.

"Yeah…" Blake nodded as she just noticed Orga's Swift Mode. "That's a new look."

"Yeah, I'm trying to get used to it too." He replied as he took his phone out and pressed a button, reverting back to Kiba. "We should probably look for the others."

"Right." Blake nodded as she just remembered that the resort was being overrun with hostile robots. The two soon left and tried looking for the others.

(Outside)

Faiz and Yang landed on their feet while the Bat Orphnoch came crashing down.

"I'm not done yet! Not until I have my revenge on SIC!" The Bat Orphnoch said in defiance as he stood up.

"That's what this is about? Revenge?" Faiz asked as he and Yang readied themselves.

"SIC contracted me to develop he AI for these bots, but they claim that my model was too flawed so they cut me loose!" He ranted as his anger was getting the better of him. "When I captured and dismantled one of the bots, I saw that it was using my coding! They stole my AI from me! I don't expect any one of you to understand my pain! So…let me give you a taste of it!" The Bat Orphnoch said as he opened fired with the two dodging in separate directions.

Yang growled as she fired her shotgun shots as she ran at him. The Bat Orphnoch kept shooting until he was out of bullets and Yang was close enough to lay some real damage. She unleashed a volley of rapid punches, making the monster drop his guns.

He then finally fought back with a knee to the stomach before pulling out those sickles from his shoulders. He used them as makeshift sword as he swung both down on the blonde.

Yang blocked it with Ember Celica as Faiz appeared and slashed the Bat Orphnoch in back. With no other option, the Bat Orphnoch blocked the next strike with his other sickle, seemingly giving Yang an opening.

She tried to punch him before a couple of nearby SIC bird drones noticed the fight tried firing lasers at the blonde. The first shot hit her in the back, but it didn't wear her down. She took her attention at them before destroying them with Ember Celica's shots.

The Bat Orphnoch used the time to throw on his sickle in the air before Yang noticed and dodged it. As Yang was resuming her charge, the sickle flew back like a boomerang before it struck across Yang's back.

"Yang!" Faiz called out as the Bat Orphnoch took this chance by kicking Faiz away and slashing him down to the ground. He reloaded one of his revolvers before pulling the trigger when aimed at Yang.

He fired multiple times and while Yang did block a majority of them, the Bat Orphnoch charged back at her into a support beam. He took a couple steps back as Yang recovered before the revolver was pressed against her forehead.

"NO!" Faiz said as he immediately took the Mission Memory out from his Accel Watch and placed it in his belt.

"COMPLETE!"

Faiz stood up as he went into his Accel Form and immediately pressed the button on his watch.

"START UP!"

Faiz picked up his sword and rushed at the two at high speed as he saw the Bat Orphnoch pulling the trigger. The Rider kicked him away from the seemingly frozen Yang as he noticed the bullet flying at her forehead. He pushed his finger against the bullet, putting it out of the way for yang.

Faiz then ran up to the Bat Orphnoch and slashed him multiple times before giving him a mean uppercut with his free hand. With the monster in the air, Faiz knelt and attached the Faiz Pointer as he pressed the button on his phone.

"EXCEED CHARGE!"

He tossed his sword away and flickered his arm as he leaped back and aimed his feet at the Bat Orphnoch. The pointer created the usual energy cone and Faiz side-kicked into it as it drilled through him. As Faiz emerged from the other side, he gained an idea and immediately acted on it.

Meanwhile to Yang, she saw multiple energy cones appear before each one impaled the Bat Orphnoch. Faiz soon appeared before her as he had finish impaling the monster with his final drill.

"3! 2! 1! TIME OUT!"

"DEFORMATION!"

Faiz returned to his default form as red phi symbol appeared on the Bat Orphnoch before he exploded in blue flames, dissolving into sand on the floor.

"You okay?" Faiz asked as Yang was recovering.

"Yeah, I will…thanks." Yang said as Faiz looked back at the building.

"We need to check on Ruby.'

"Right." Yang remembered as the two rushed in, hoping nothing has gone wrong while they were fighting.

(With Ruby)

Ruby had just impaled one of the robotic dogs with her scythe before shooting another that was about to pounce on her. Ruby then noticed a couple of monkey robots hanging from the ceiling. They screeched at her before attempting to jump at her.

The girl managed to cut one down before another manage to land and tackle her to the ground, separating Ruby from Crescent Rose. Ruby struggled to keep the mechanical animal off of her before she eventually kicked it off.

Ruby took back her scythe before cutting the monkey down as she noticed a hall of more robots. Ruby then utilized her Semblance by dashing past them at high speeds, cutting them down with ease before any of them made another step.

She saw more and braced herself before a couple of them were shot down and another small group was frozen. Ruby recognized this as she turned around and saw the twins and Weiss.

"Guys!"

"Ruby!"

The three ran up to her, but she ran past them into the control room.

"Where is it…?" Ruby said as she pulled out the key and looked at the three. "Long story short, I need to use this key to shut down the bots."

She plugged in the key before the panel opened, revealing the kill switch. Ruby immediately flipped it before more robots burst in…and fell down dead. Soon all the robots surrounding the building fell offline, including the ones that were keeping the law at bay.

"So, that's it?" Echo asked.

"That's it." Ruby smiled as Echo laid on her back in exhaustion. "I think we're gonna have to cut our vacation short by a day…"

(Later at night)

Due to the recent events that transpired today, the teams had to move and check into a different hotel, courtesy of SIC. That was actually what SIC offered to other guests. They were allowed to check in to different hotels fully paid for a few days. But, with the surrounding chaos that was left in the aftermath of the rampage, the teams decided that it was best to just to leave first thing in the morning.

Right now, most of them already had dinner and was fast asleep. Makoto, on the other hand, needed some time to himself as he sat in one of the benches outside the front door. He thought back to conversation he had a couple hours ago with the SIC exec who announced this form of compensation.

(A couple hours ago)

"So, is that your answer for all this? Just a couple of free days at another hotel?" Makoto asked with his arms crossed.

Law enforcement was interviewing the others while Makoto finally got into a talk with the SIC exec.

"With all due respect, sir. You are not the one running a business. Besides, this has nothing to do with you."

"I've seen the hacker. He said your company stole his AI scripts that was placed into the bots."

"So, Morgan Doyle was behind this. As for his 'property', company policy dictated that any former property utilized by employees in their duration of employment can be seized. While Mr. Doyle's AI script was incredibly flawed, it was still usable and modifying it instead of starting from scratch seemed to be the most viable option." The executive explained and the explanation irritated Makoto.

"And was Morgan aware of that?" Makoto asked.

"He didn't have a choice. I suppose he didn't think that we were gonna use his code."

"And because he was already fired and your company policy…you didn't credit him." Makoto pieced together as he clenched one of his hands into a fist.

"We did offer a position back and he refuse."

"Can't blame him." Makoto replied as he would've done the same thing minus the whole revenge thing. "You should make it right and credit him."

"You are in no position to demand anything from me. You should even be lucky that we're not even accounting you and your friends' involvement."

Makoto tensed a bit at that.

"Oh yes, I saw the surveillance footage. What you guys are and what you can do." The executive said. "You've saved the resort and for that I am thankful for it. I'm repaying you by keeping your existence a secret despite the interest in your technology. Understand?"

"…" Makoto just stared at him.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a press conference to get to." He then left Makoto alone.

(Present)

'God, I hate corporations…' Makoto thought as he gritted his teeth.

"Hey."

Makoto turned and saw Yang as she approached him.

"Hey, what's up?"

"I just want to walk. That cool with you?"

"Oh, no problem."

"How's your shoulder?"

"I heal fast." Makoto smiled as Yang sat next to him.

"Lucky you." She remarked before taking a deep breath. "Look, for starters, I just want to say thanks for saving me and Ruby earlier ago."

"You guys would've done the same for me."

"True, but I'd do it in a cooler fashion." She joked, making the both of them chuckle. The blonde then took a deep breath as she was prepared to say something. "Look, I'm sorry for all the shit I've been giving you and Ruby. I was just being overprotective, I admit it."

"Don't worry about it. I know, you were just trying to be a good sister."

"When Ruby and I were younger, I made a very dumb decision that almost got both of us killed." Yang admitted, surprising the young man. "Ever since that day, I swore to be different and be a bit more caring towards Ruby's wellbeing. So…I'm gonna take a leap of faith here and ask this question; are you gonna watch her for me if I'm not around?"

Makoto was surprised at the nature of the question before he smiled back. He was happy to finally earn Yang's trust when it came to this.

"Of course. After all, I love her."

She smirked as she playfully punched his shoulder.

"Good answer." She replied before yawning. "Well, see you in the morning."

Yang then got off the bench and went back into the hotel before bumping into Ruby, who was holding a small box.

"Hey sis, what are you doing here?" She asked as Yang smiled.

"Just had a word with Makoto." The older girl replied, causing the younger sister to rush outside to see if there was any damage. Yang just laughed as she resumed walking back to the hotel room.

Meanwhile Makoto was back to his thoughts before Ruby suddenly appeared before him, checking his body for any injuries left by Yang.

"Relax, relax. We just had a talk, that's it." Makoto said as Ruby still looked concerned. "I'm serious. It ended on a rather good note.'

Ruby then sighed and accepted that response as she spotted no injuries on him.

"So, what's up?"

"I noticed that you didn't eat dinner with us."

"Yeah sorry, I had a lot to think about." Makoto replied as he scratched the back of his head.

"So, I brought my leftovers and thought we can share it together." Ruby said as Makoto softly smiled at her.

"Sure!" He replied as Ruby smiled back and opened the box, revealing a bunch of food.

They soon started eating together as Ruby soon started to offer a French fry. Makoto just chuckled and accepted it as Ruby fed him. Yang watched with a content smile from a nearby window before leaving.

AN: And that's it, folks! I hope you all enjoy this because the next chapter for this will be the start of Volume 2! Hopefully, the start to V2 will be a much shorter chapter since this one was much longer than I would've liked it to. And just to be clear, this chapter is a VERY loose adaptation of RWBY: The Session novel. I would've gotten the actual book, but I've read from comments saying it's not that great so I have to start from scratch.

Anyways, please review or send PMs for questions, comments, or concerns. Don't be afraid to review this chapter, send questions, or look at my other fics. Alright, I'm done; goodnight.
