Outside the EBM Petrochem Stadium, Colonel Kurt's last defense was taking place; it was the core of his soldiers who had been with him until the end.
But despite his efforts they could not stop Umbrella's advance into the stadium, so it was only a matter of minutes until everyone was eliminated.
Leaving Nobunaga alone in the central courtyard who was advancing slowly while two huge Chimeras were defending Colonel Kurt, who was sitting in his chair smoking a cigarette.
Nobunaga looked at the two spider-shaped tanks with a smile as her hair turned completely red as she walked.
"My path leads to a world where goods, buddhas, and living creatures all turns into desiccated corpses…
Nobody can stop this Nobunaga."
Everything was said in Japanese while a huge skeleton formed behind her, the skeleton seemed to be burned and looked imposing, leaving everyone who watched with irrational fear.
Even the artificial intelligences that were watching the spectacle felt the so-called fear for the first time in their existence.
Oda Nobunaga who floated in the sky while the skeleton behind her followed.
"Pāpīyas Reborn, Demon King of the Myriad Heavens!"
As she finished saying those words, thousands of lasers fell from the sky, destroying the two Chimeras as if they were small insects, leaving behind a huge crater.
When Oda Nobunaga came down from heaven he walked slowly towards Colonel Kurt who stood up and adjusted his tie to receive death, although when he had Nobunaga close to him he looked at her with an honest smile.
"Before I die I want to know if you are really Oda Nobunaga and why in the story your sex is different."
Nobunaga who had regained her black hair raised her shoulders. "I didn't write the story and at the time I was seen as a demon, so I guess it was more bearable for those bastards.
Saying that I was a man and not a woman since being defeated by a woman should be talked about for generations, although my case is not unique, there are many more.
As for whether I am Oda Nobunaga, I can tell you that I am and although I died betrayed, I am not alive, I am a Servant who belongs to the throne of heroes.
All those who died leaving an impression on humanity are in that place, it doesn't matter if they are heroes, villains, writers, musicians or anything you can think of, we are all in that place including that bastard Akechi Mitsuhide.
The poor idiot, I don't know how many times he's been defeated by my hand, that the hatred I have for his mere existence stopped being fun a long time ago.
But I already said more than I should and as a commander it is my duty to end your life so I will let you choose between seppuku or dying with my sword."
Colonel Kurt pointed to his neck. "I'm an American Miss Nobunaga, I won't do seppuku but your sword can take my life."
Nobunaga nodded and with a precise cut decapitated Colonel Kurt, it was at that moment that the taking of Dogtown concluded.
Although the consequences were greater than they expected, especially in the corporations and governments of the world, which was Umbrella, because it had heroes under its command, all the Servants were powerful or only a few.
For the general public, Nobunaga and Umbrella became famous in a matter of a few hours, especially Nobunaga with women since they imitated his appearance as best they could while others demanded that Japan recognize Nobunaga's true sex.
But chaos continued for a while when Nobunaga accepted an interview on News 54 the next day as a representative of the Umbrella Corporation.
In a studio specially prepared to imitate ancient Japanese style, presenter Ziggy Q spoke to the camera.
"Good night Night City.
Today we have the honor of interviewing a legendary figure who has proven himself to be a formidable and ruthless leader in his mission to free the Pacifica district from the control of the forces of chaos.
Please welcome Oda Nobunaga CEO of Umbrella Corporation to Night City.
"Nobunaga-sama, it is a pleasure to have you with us."
The camera was pointed at Nobunaga who was sitting on the couch putting her feet up on the coffee table while she smoked a cigarette.
"The pleasure is all yours. I am here to enlighten you with my greatness."
Ziggy Q showed a natural smile "First, let me congratulate her on her incredible achievement in Pacifica. What motivated her to take action in such a complicated district?
Nobunaga frowned. "Motivation, you say?
Watching Pacifica's decline was an insult to my name, no one else had the audacity or strength to do what was necessary except for us at Umbrella Corporation.
So obviously I had to step in and show them how it's done."
Ziggy Q drank some water "Sounds like a true act of leadership worthy of Nobunaga-sama.
But moving on to another topic, we know that you have been dead for a long time that you are and most importantly, how do you describe your experience on the Throne of Heroes?
Nobunaga smiled and threw the ashes of his cigarette on the floor. "I am a Servant, when my soul dies I enter the throne of heroes so I can appear because of them.
As for the throne of heroes, it is a collection of outstanding figures, but few are of my caliber.
It's an interesting place, full of inflated egos, but, at the end of the day, none of them can compare to my greatness."
Ziggy Q looked surprised before looking at Nobunaga curiously "Speaking of legacies, we know that many heroes are known for being men.
You are a prominent example of a heroine whose true gender is not always recognized in the story.
Could you share with us what other heroines have been overlooked or misunderstood?"
Nobunaga closed her eyes as she thought. "There are Artoria Pendragon, Mordred, Okita Souji, Miyamoto Musashi among others that I don't feel like mentioning.
History has distorted them, hiding their true identities, greatness has no gender, but it is entertaining to see how history is so often wrong or they modify it to avoid being condemned for their ineptitude."
Ziggy Q appeared surprised to the camera "It's fascinating to see how history can distort the true identity of these heroes and heroines.
Do you think these revelations can change public perception about female leadership?"
Nobunaga raised his shoulders indifferently "Of course history is full of lies and misunderstandings.
People need to open their eyes and recognize true power, regardless of gender.
But, frankly, I don't care what other people think, greatness speaks for itself, it is not defined by a genre in a textbook."
"Going back to your victory in Pacifica, what was the biggest challenge you faced during the liberation of the district?"
Nobunaga laughed before folding her hands together. "Hahaha, Challenge?
The biggest challenge would be the time I lost organizing my troops for the attack, the battle was asymmetrical at all times and obviously, my superiority helped a lot."
Ziggy Q adjusted the collar of his suit. "It's inspiring to hear that Nobunaga-Sama.
Finally, what are his next plans now that Pacifica is on the road to recovery?
Nobunaga flicked the cigarette away from him before placing her hand on his chin. "Rebuild the Pacifica landfill and turn it into a real place that can be called home.
Umbrella will be in charge of creating a true utopia in Pacifica, so any bastard who wants to come and make his gang should know that I will personally take care of eliminating them.
It doesn't matter if it's a spy, a group of soldiers or a gang, if you cause chaos in my zone of control I'm going to kill you and there won't be any ashes left so they can mourn you."
Ziggy Q who was already super stressed bowed "Thank you very much, Nobunaga-sama, for his time and for sharing his wisdom with us.
It is an honor to have her here at Network 54. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.
Nobunaga stood up and looked at the camera. "Always remember the greatness you witnessed today."
After that farewell, Nobunaga disappeared from the place like a ghost, so Ziggy Q seemed a little more relaxed. "There you have it, Oda Nobunaga, a true force of nature in our time.
Don't miss our upcoming interviews here on Network 54. See you next time!"
