"So they've been asleep for 2 whole days?" Harry was stunned. When he got the letter from Ginny, he admitted he thought she might have been exaggerating a bit, but looking at them now, he can see it's just as she explained it.

"Yeah, I wonder if they can eat in there?" Blaise had been ever vigilant, working with Ginny to make sure their friends were comfortable.

"Madame Pomfrey said there hasn't been any significant spikes or drops in their blood sugar, so I guess they're okay". Ginny patted her friend's hand as she looked up at Harry, "I hope they come back soon".

"Me too, Gin. Me too."

After a couple years' worth of memories, they were brought back to their spot in the mountains. "Are we done?" Hermione sat on the bench and crossed her legs.

"I don't know," Draco also plopped down on the bench, and they sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes. That silence was broken by Draco's stomach rumbling, which caused Hermione to giggle.

"Is someone hungry?" She said with a grin. He smiled back at her, and it somewhat shocked her. She had never really seen him smile like that, she liked it and wanted to see him smile more. Wait, what? No. She dropped her smile and looked away from him. She didn't want to know where those thoughts would take her.

A pop sounded, and to her right was a picture-perfect picnic. A red checkered blanket lay on the grass with a wicker basket sitting in the corner. Draco was all too happy to dig in. Inside the basket were two turkey sandwiches, each with their own toppings, a bundle of grapes and a basket of strawberries, two bottles of water, and a stack of chocolate chip cookies.

Hermione and Draco enjoyed their feast, all the while making light conversation about the memories they had just witnessed.

"You were such a cute little boy, what happened?" She smirked at him as she popped a grape in her mouth.

Draco opened his mouth, feigning offense, "Oh please, you know you can't resist all of this" as he waved his hand over his body and wiggled his eyebrows. She took another grape and threw it at his face. There was that smile again, only it was accompanied by the most beautiful laugh she had ever heard. The thought made her cheeks turn pink and she once again looked away.

"You know, Granger, I think this is the longest we've gone without arguing". He laid down on his back on the blanket, hands behind his head.

She tilted her head to the side thoughtfully, "You know what? I think you're right."

"Great Merlin! The auspicious know-it-all just admitted I was right about something! I might faint!" She threw another grape at him.

He turned his head to look at her as she continued, "I will admit I was rather surprised at some of your memories. I had no idea you've basically never been allowed to be a child. And that when you did, your father always came at you with that bloody cane. I'm sorry you had to grow up like that."

He sat up again, and his grey eyes met her deep brown eyes. "It wasn't all bad. I never knew any different, so it didn't seem like anything horrible at the time. I always had my mum; she understood me a lot better than my father did."

She reached forward and covered his hand with hers. "Everyone deserves to be a child."

He didn't know if it was her statement or the presence of her hand on his that was responsible for the electricity running through his veins right now, but he was very disappointed when he felt the familiar tug at his stomach and they were pulled away again.
