"Alright, why don't you introduce yourselves, one at a time?" Our Sensei droned.
"Introduce ourselves? Well, what do we say?" Sakura inquired.
"Things you like, things you hate," Our new teacher said in a patient tone, "dreams for the future, hobbies, things like that."
"Why don't you go first?" I inquired in a soft tone, "Just show us how it's done."
"Me? I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate…I don't feel like telling you that."
"Huh?" Naruto and Sakura said at the same time.
"My dreams for the future…" Kakashi continued, "Never really thought about it. As for hobbies…I have lots of hobbies."
"Well, that was totally useless," Sakura grumbled what I was thinking, "All he really told us was his name."
"Alright, your turn. You on the right," Kakashi faced Naruto's direction. "You first."
Naruto started out in a loud voice, "Believe it! I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I like instant ramen in a cup, and I really like the ramen Iruka-sensei got me at the Ichiraku noodle shop. But I hate the three minutes you have to wait after you pour the water in the ramen cup.
"My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them, and my future dream is: to be the greatest hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody, somebody important!"
He was turning his headband the entire time he said this. Based on the look on Kakashi's face, I knew he thought Naruto was more than a little bit weird.
"Alright, next." Kakashi said, this time to Sakura.
"I'm Sakura Haruno," She started off giggly. "What I like, uhh, I mean the person I like is…"
She turned and giggled and blushed at Sasuke.
My hobby is, uhh." She glanced at Sasuke and giggled. "My dream for the future is—!" At this she gave a rather loud squeal.
"What do you hate?" Kakashi said rather wearily.
"NARUTO!" Sakura said earnestly. Poor Naruto.
Kakashi sighed. "Next!"
Sasuke went next, much to Sakura's delight.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything." Sakura looked beaten at that.
"What I have is not a dream," Sasuke continued, "Because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone."
Naruto visibly gulped at that. I was unfazed. Sasuke was so over-dramatic.
"Okay, last one!" Kakashi said.
I readied myself and talked in a quiet voice—but a firm one with no stuttering.
"I'm Chitsuki Tsugime. I love the sea and the moon. I don't really have any particular hobbies, and my dream for the future is to become an accomplished kunoichi. I dislike the sight of blood, although I can handle it, and I really hate nightmares."
I turned to see what Kakashi thought about me. He was curiously glancing at the cloth on my neck, but he would understand, right? After all, he would have first hand experience with masks.
"You know what?" Naruto yelled. "I want to see your neck, Chitsuki!"
I shifted uncomfortably. "I'm sorry. I'm not at ease with that."
Kakashi, thank god, interrupted our conversation. "Tomorrow, you will have your first task. Come at 5:00 in the morning." He paused. "Oh, and don't eat breakfast. You might puke.
Animal_Genius: FINALLY! A chapter that is a reasonable length of short!
Sasuke: Took you long enough.
Hinata: Now, let's all be civil here and review please!
