THE PLUSH GAMES – THE ORIGIN
DISCLAIMER: "THE PLUSH GAMES" IS BASED ON THE NOVEL AND FILM SERIES CALLED "THE HUNGER GAMES". THIS SERIES IS WRITTEN FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
It is the year 3000, on the morning of January 1st, and the nation of Plushtopia wakes in fear. 10 years prior, Plushtopia elected Chosis Blackbear as their new President and leader; a decision that would haunt the nation to this day.
From the year 2990, Blackbear locked the nation into a never-ending nightmare overrun by brutal dictatorship, whereby the plush population was forced into slavery and poverty. Blackbear's motivation stemmed from his lust for ultimate power. In his mind, the oppression of the nation and uprising of an enslaved population equated to a higher level of production, including food, clothing, coal, oil, and gold. Mining became the mandatory job for men, while factory manufacturing became the mandatory job for women. This allowed Blackbear to ensure the nation was providing for the other countries of their planet; Cotton-P1, leading to positive world relationships, as well as maintaining the life of his own nation. Along with this, Blackbear ensured to maintain constant power and Presidency, hence adopting slavery and putting his plush population into poverty. This tactic was done to weaken the plush population, eliminating any risk of the overthrowing of Blackbear. All hospitals and medical services were abolished, to further weaken the population while keeping the strongest alive to continue efficient factory production and mining. This meant that the sick and the elderly passed away from the lack of medical care. Modern modes of transportation, such as modern cars, trains, and airplanes, were mostly swapped out for carriages and heavily-guarded steam trains, and the country borders were locked and guarded by armed officers, to prevent the population from fleeing the country. Finally, anyone who was deemed an intellect and capable of outsmarting the President was taken from their families and shot to death by armed officers. These deemed "intellects" included anyone within an occupation that did not align with mining or physical labour; teachers, nurses, doctors, bankers, pilots, receptionists, managers, care workers, scientists, historians, mathematicians, and any other workers that were not in the field of mining and physical labour. The nation was locked in constant fear, slavery, and oppression.
However, 6 years into his tyrannical leadership, in the year 2996, the humans and apes of the plush population led a rebellion attempt; several of the armed officers were killed, mines and factories were destroyed by bombs, and several members of Blackbear's office were assassinated. However, Blackbear organised the mass bombing of several cities, leading to the deaths of thousands of civilians, mostly those of the human and ape population, due to being targeted for leading the rebellion. This mass bombing ended the rebellion in the year 2998, pushing the nation back into slavery, and into complete segregation. The nation was divided and locked into 14 districts, known as "factions", and each faction experienced different levels of slavery and poverty based on their rankings; decided solely by Blackbear. These became the 14 factions:
Faction 1: Bear Faction – As a reminder of the superiority of Chosis Blackbear, all the bears and teddies of Plushtopia are to be the wealthiest and strongest faction. The majority of the productions made by the factories and mined resources of the nation will be given to this faction, and the society within this faction will not experience poverty nor slavery.
Faction 2: Canine Faction – As a reminder of their consistent loyalty to Blackbear, all the canines of Plushtopia are to live wealthy lives. While not experiencing the wealth of Faction 1, the Canine Faction will still live lives as if they are members of the middle-high class, and slavery will impact only 10% of the population in this faction.
Faction 3: Feline Faction – As a reminder of their consistent hard work for Blackbear, all the felines of Plushtopia will experience wealth similar to Faction 2. However, slavery will impact 20% of the population, due to being inferior to canines.
Faction 4: Fantasy Faction – As a reminder of the imagination and creativity they bring to the children of planet Earth, all plushies that are mythological creatures, extinct animals, and inanimate objects are to be put in this faction. These include dinosaurs, mermaids, dragons, ogres, foods, kitchen items, and other plushies that are not animals or teddy bears. This faction will experience wealth and living standards as if they are the middle class, and slavery will impact 30% of the population.
Faction 5: Aquatic Faction – As a reminder of their neutrality during the rebellion, all the fish and other aquatic creatures of Plushtopia will experience neither wealth nor poverty. All members of this faction will experience living standards of the middle class, and slavery will impact 50% of the population.
Faction 6: Bird Faction – As a reminder of their aerial role in the stalking of the officers during the rebellion, all the birds of Plushtopia will experience lower class standards of living, and slavery will impact 60% of the population.
Faction 7: Mammal Faction – As a reminder of their physical brutality towards the officers during the rebellion, all mammals of Plushtopia, excluding bears, canines, felines, aquatic mammals, and any mammals that come under Factions 8-14, will fall into this faction. These mammals include rhinos, horses, pigs, sheep, elephants, giraffes, and so on. Lions also fall into this faction, despite being felines, due to their brutality towards the officers displayed during the rebellion. This faction will experience below lower-class standards of living, and slavery will impact 70% of the population.
Faction 8: Reptile Faction – As a reminder of their direct acts of theft, and factory and mines destruction during the rebellion, all the reptiles of Plushtopia will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 80% of the population.
Faction 9: Amphibian Faction – As a reminder of leading the acts of theft, and the destruction of factories and mines during the rebellion, all the amphibians of Plushtopia will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 85% of the population.
Faction 10: Arthropod Faction – As a reminder of their acts of defiance in the continuation of factory production and mining during the rebellion, all the arthropods of Plushtopia, including insects and arachnids, will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 90% of the population.
Faction 11: Marsupial Faction – As a reminder of their attempts to flee the country during the rebellion, all the marsupials of Plushtopia, including koalas, kangaroos, opossums, quokkas, and wombats, will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 95% of the population.
Faction 12: Mustelidae Faction – As a reminder of their direct manipulation and double-crossing tactics towards the Blackbear office during the rebellion, all the mustelids of Plushtopia, including raccoons, red pandas, ferrets, weasels, otters, skunks and so on, will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 100% of the population.
Faction 13: Rodent Faction – As a reminder of their role in leading the manipulation and double-crossing tactics towards the Blackbear office during the rebellion, all the rodents of Plushtopia, including mice and rats, will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 100% of the population. On top of this, all members of the faction above the age of 70 will be assassinated each year to strengthen the production levels of the faction.
Faction 14: Ape Faction – As a reminder of their role in leading the rebellion, all the apes of Plushtopia, including chimpanzees, monkeys, gorillas, and humans, will fall into this faction. Poverty is the standard of living and slavery will impact 100% of the population. On top of this, all members of the faction above the age of 50 will be assassinated each year to strengthen the production levels of the factions, along with removing any negative authoritative influence on the younger generations in the faction.
The final policy of Blackbear's ruling over Plushtopia was the policy of population control. To remove the risk of overpopulation in Plushtopia, an annual event known as "The Plush Games" was to be held from the year 3000, whereby 2 members from each faction between the ages of 13-24 are to be chosen to compete in these games. Within these games, all 28 players are put into an arena to fight to the death, with the winner being the last player left alive in the arena. The winner is to experience lifelong wealth and freedom from slavery. Blackbear will grant Faction 1 the right to receive free training for the games, as a further symbol for the demonstration of Blackbear's power and the bears' wealth and position in Plushtopia. Blackbear, members of the Blackbear office, and the wealthiest of the Bear Faction will be granted the right to watch the games in the arena, while the rest of the Bear Faction, along with all other factions, will watch the games through live television.
Now, on the morning of January 1st, 3000, the nation of Plushtopia is crippled with fear and paranoia, as the morning marks the day of the reaping for the first ever Plush Games…
