Update
10-7-2014
This may sound a little harsh but my indefinite hiatus on the Star Fox series is going to be a lot longer than I anticipated. Mainly because Wolfenstein is doing pretty good, I'm very active on Furaffinity and I already got inspiration for a real book. No fanficiton indeed but a real book. It is inspired by my impression of how the 1999 PC-game Nocturne should have been. My father told me about it but only little was true. This did give me the opportunity to get another story out, but since Nocturne is pretty obscure, I decided not to treat it as a fanfic.
Setting:
1873, Blundergat (not real), Germany
Detective Nocturne and his girlfriend Sapphire
Since 1853, Blundergat was taken off the map since it turned into a ghost town after an incident involving occultism and black magic. Twenty years later, a rich woman connected with Michael Flürscheims Ironworks with many outlandish influences reports that her daughter ran away from home. All traces lead to Blundergat, the forgotten ghost town near the town of Gaggenau. As it might involve the paranormal, an English bureau hires the American top detective Nocturne in to look for the girl. Nocturne accepts and travels to Gaggenau via the Murg Valley Railway. He's not afraid of the paranormal or any of those myths. Because, unknown to the agency, Nocturne has taken his girlfriend Sapphire along with him. And she is a vampire, hencing the off-set name for that period in time.
He and Sapphire travels to Blundergat in a carriage, who drops them off at the gate of the ghost town. Nocturne realizes he came ill-equipped: one revolver (1 magazine), though it's the newest .45 Colt Single Action Army, one veil of blood for his girlfriend to drink and his notepad + pencil. Once he opens the gates of the ghost town, he sees in what trouble he is. And then the gates close behind them...
