Mal's Prov

When we woke up in the morning, I couldn't believe the alarm clock. "Ben Wake up!" I said nervously. Ben woke up and said "Mal, what's wrong?" I said "We're going to be late! We overslept!" I leapt out of bed, and quickly dressed, while Ben got up. "Don't worry. It's alright. I set it for 20 minutes earlier, so we would be early." I turned to him and said "Honey, that was a great idea!" We finished getting ready and ate quickly before we went to the school. "Ben?" I started. Ben said "I know, don't you worry now dear. FG and I talked, and I have 2 classes with you, not counting lunch, and I got us both permission to go to the nurses office bathroom if you get sick. As far as classes, we have 2nd and 4rth, so I'll see you soon. Evie made some changes to hers, and Jay, Carlos and Doug are trying to figure it out too. They wanna be in our classes, most of them anyways."

After our classes, we went home, and I said "Ben?" He looked to me and I said "Do we have to go anywhere tonight?" "Mom and dad are back, the girls and guys, will be meeting us at the castle, along with FG. Oh and wear that dress Evie made. I'm heading there now and will send a car back for you." I nodded as the girls came in and helped me dress. When the car arrived, we climbed in, which is where I started nervously smoothing my dress.

At the castle, we walked to the throne room, and I saw the whole kingdom, Belle standing beside a scowling Adam. FG was beside Ben and the guy. The girls walked down, and that's when it hit me. Our Wedding. How could he not tell me! His smirk said it all. As I walked down, I noticed Audrey, Ben's eyes lowkey followed mine and his eyes shot to me, the smile behind them faded, he discreetly gestured, to Audrey, which they nodded lowkey to us, understanding their assignment. I got to Ben, and he whispered. "I didn't invite her, just her parents." "I know." FG said "We are gathered here today to join Ben and Mal in holy matrimony." Audrey came up with an evil look in her eyes. Lonnie was in front of us, ready to stop a fight. "Audrey." I said, my tone was warning and firm. Ben was at my side.

Ben's hands took mine, helping me to my feet, as Audrey was being dragged out of the room by the castle security. My eye was swollen and bruised, and my nose hurt. Audrey was worse, she had a black eye, and broken bones. Ben made sure of it. "Are you Okay?" Ben asked, while the girls helped fix the dress, while the guys got the crown, and helped assure that everyone else was fine. FG said "Do you want to wait till..." I said "No. I can handle it." She nodded, and said "Ben, do you take Mal to be your lawfully wedded wife? For better, for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer until death does you part?" Ben looked deep in my eyes as he said "I do." FG asked me, and I said "I do." We exchanged rings and FG said "Then by the power vested in me, by the state of Auradon, I know pronounce you Husband and Wife. King and Queen. You may kiss your bride, Ben." Ben pulled me close and kissed me gently. We broke apart, but he kept me cocooned into his side, as I smiled. Aurora and Phillip came over to us. "We are so deeply sorry about everything. Believe me she will have serious consequences." Phillip said as Aurora gave us a hug. "When you're done, send her over." They nodded. The party dispersed, as we headed to the dining room. "Ben..." "You Okay? He asked. "No. I feel lightheaded." Ben sat me down, frowning. "Maybe you need to eat something..."

I listened and ate quietly. The others came in and sat beside us. "You don't have to come to class for 3 days." Ben and I nodded. After the party, Adam said "Ben, we need to talk." "Not tonight, dad. I need to take care of my wife." We went to the hospital, to check on me and baby. Later that night, we were in Ben's room. "Alright, now. Don't take those off for a while." He said, placing an ice pack on my eye and nose. "I'll be right back, I'm going to hop in the shower really quick." He kissed my head before getting a few things and going to the bathroom. After Ben got out of the shower, and changed, he sat beside me. I looked at him with my one good eye, and he took the ice off. "Lets try and sleep. If you need anything, wake me." He said as he laid beside me, wrapping his arms around me, as we drifted to sleep.

In the morning, I woke beside Ben, okay, well I was still nestled in his arms, my favorite place to be in all honestly. "Ben?" I whispered, loud enough for him to wake up, and moving slightly, so he could see my face. "Are you okay?" He asked. "My nose hurts, and the baby's hungry." He said "Hmmmm. I'll get you the ice and food." We changed, but he left the room, while I sat on the bed. Ben came in and said "Here's the ice, and the food will be here soon." He sat beside me, and I laid my head on his chest as I placed the ice on my nose.

After breakfast, we went to town and did a little shopping, then went to the apartment. When we got there, then went to our house. When we arrived, Jane was waiting. "Audrey was right, You guys aren't as good as you claim." She scoffed as she walked off, bumping into my arm. Ben shook his head, unlocking the door, and let me in. I sat on the couch, while Ben put the groceries away. "Mal Honey? Can you come here for a minute?" I heard Ben's voice call, causing me to go over to him. "Yes dear?"

"Why do we have 4 jars of Pickles and peanut butter?" I took and smeared it in peanut butter, then proceeded to eat it. I watched Ben's turned from curious to disgust. "Cravings." Ben chuckled and said "Okay... If you say so..." After we put away the groceries we sat on the couch. Ben kissed my forehead and said "How's the nose?" I smiled and said "Better." He smiled as a knock happened on the door.

I got up and went to open the door, Ben was on my heels. When we opened the door and we saw Audrey, Jane and Chad. I glared at them, as Chad said "You're never going to be good." Ben stepped between me and them, before he said "Chad Don't..." Chad said "...Or what?" "Your punishment will be the same as Audrey! Same with you, Jane." Ben said, sternly. "You guys should leave, now." I intervened from behind Ben. Audrey said "You'll have to kill me if you want me to leave or to leave you alone." I muttered under my breath, and Ben said "You're really pushing my buttons! Leave!"

I shut the door and looked at Ben. "Are you Okay Ben?" I said softly, as he sunk into the couch. "Ben?" I asked again, and he shook his head. I knelt down beside him, placing a hand on his forehead, and said "You feel warm. I'm going to run to the town and get some medicine, and a thermometer. Anything else you need or want me to get you?" Ben said ""Nooooooo. Don't goooo." I knelt beside him and said "Okay, why don't you go lie down and get some sleep." Ben sighed and did what I asked. I slipped out to the town.

At one store, the grocery store, I picked up some orange juice, when Belle came over. "Mal?" I looked up and said "Belle! Hey!" She gave me a hug, and said "How are you feeling?" "Fine for now..." I started before continuing. "But Ben just got sick... Just ran out to get some medicine, soup and stuff for him. He felt like he was running a fever." Belle said "He's sick? Oh No... This is not good... He's never sick, but when he is watch out..." I said "Oh Boy..." "Maybe I should come and help take care of him, because you shouldn't risk getting sick..." Belle offered, and I said "You don't have to Belle, I'm sure I can keep myself healthy and take care of Ben." Belle said "Are you really sure?" I nodded and said "Yeah, how hard can it be? And if we need you, you are just a phone call away, right?" She gave me a smile and said "Right. Oh, don't forget his favorite soup is New England clam chowder, Chicken dumpling, and chicken corn chowder." I said "Great. Thanks Belle."

When I got home, I put the grocery's away and went to our room. "MALLLLL! I NEEED YOU!" His whines hit my ears, before I even reached the bedroom. I entered and sat beside him. "Hey Baby." I whispered, as he said "I'm hungry, and thirsty! And I'm sooooo hottt!" I took his temperature and said "I'm going to go grab the medicine, and some food and orange juice. I'll be back." I kissed his forehead and went to make him some food. I brought him the stuff on a try and as I entered the room, I sat the tray on the bed and picked up the bowl of soup and fed him the whole bowl of soup and got him to take some medicine. "Here's some juice I'm going to put it on the nightstand. Do you want anything else while I'm downstairs?" I asked putting the glass on the nightstand. He shook his head. I went downstairs and quickly cleaned up. I returned to mine and Ben's room. I sat beside him, seeing him sleeping peacefully.

It took a few days for Ben's energy and everything to return. I single handily took care of Ben while he was sick. "Ben." I said to my sleepy husband. "Ben! Come on, sleepy head! We'll be late for school!" He woke up groggily and looked to me. "Mal! I don't want to go!" He whined, causing me to say "We have to Ben. We already missed 4 days this week alone." He groaned and got dressed quickly. We ate some breakfast, before we went to school.

In my first class, my one without Ben, I couldn't help but think about everything that's happened. "Mal, do you have the answer?" The teachers voice said, but it sounded so much further away than it was. I said "uh... Can you repeat that?" Lonnie said "Umm, I think Mal and I need to be excused." I got up with Lonnie as we walked out. "Mal do you feel okay?" I shook my head, and said "Can you try and get Ben...? I feel really sick..." I said dizzily before I dropped to the ground.

Sometime later, my eyes opened. Ben was beside me. Belle was behind him. "You gave us quite a scare Mal." Belle said, softly. I said "What happened? Is the baby, okay?" Ben said "Thankfully, yes. The baby is okay, for now. You're in the nurses office. Lonnie called me. Why didn't you tell me you were feeling sick baby?" I shook my head, as Belle said "Mal You need to tell us." I said "I just didn't... Okay?" I looked in Ben's eyes, as I said that, pulling my knees to my chest. Ben said "Was it because of something that happened when you were sick as a child?" I sighed. I never talked about my childhood too much.

I nodded and said "My mom never cared that I was sick, so I took care of myself when I was sick... She never even listened to anything I said- Never believed me." Ben and Belle looked at each other, before looking back to me, before Belle said "Well things are different now, Mal." Ben said "You got me to take care of you. You got Mom. You got Lonnie, Evie, Jayden, Jay, Carlos, and Doug. Honey, you got a bunch of us to take care of you. We all love you." I sighed and said "But Ben, that's the thing. We've been handling everything on our own since we were kids! No one cared." Ben said "Mal, Sweetheart, it's different now. You don't have to fend for yourself anymore. You don't. I know your mother is a... well a witch... To put it nicely... And I know you feel like you have to handle everything on your own, but it's different. You're not on your own anymore. You can lean on us. We're your family, and we love you."

I leaned into Ben, who was all too quick to move so it was easier for me to cuddle into his arms. "I'll let the nurse know she's awake." Belle said, stepping away from us. Ben kept me tight in his arms. "Ben..." I whispered. "It's okay, Mal. I got you." He whispered right back, as the nurse came in with Belle. "You gave us quite a scare young lady." The nurse chided, as I buried deeper into Ben, as he said "So do you know if it's what I had? Or what it is?" "It's not the flu yet... But it's close to it." Ben said "So how do we approach this?" The nurse gave him a smile as I looked up. "Antibiotics. I know one that is completely safe for her to take while pregnant." I didn't like the way she looked at me when she said pregnant, but I looked to Ben, his eyes already on mine.

"Let's do that. It's our best shot, right?" I stated, as Ben said "Are you sure Mal?" I nodded once and the nurse said "Let me go call in the antibiotic, and I'll dismiss Mal for the rest of the day... Unless you wanna stay with here...?" Ben said "I do wanna be with her, But I've..." Belle said "I'll take care of her, till you get home, son." Ben and I both looked shocked, and Ben said "Are you sure mom?" Belle said "Absolutely." I said "Thanks mom." Ben and Belle both looked at me softly as I called Belle Mom. Just by the looks on their faces I could tell they were proud. The nurse handed us a list of things that I could take. We said our thanks before I was cleared to leave.

Belle went to the store quickly while Ben had a few minutes to stay with me. "Alright... I'll be home right after Tourney practice. Our final game is next week." I nodded and said "Okay..." At the apartment, I slept for most of the afternoon. Ben came home from school at about 4:30. "Hey Mom! I'm home!" I heard him call, which was not hard, considering I was on the couch. "Ben!" I whined tiredly. He looked to me worriedly as he said "I'm sorry baby..." He came over and knelt beside the couch. "How are you feeling?" He asked, placing a gentle kiss on my head. "How do you think?" I answered, tiredly. Ben chuckled and said "Tired. Did you take the medicine yet?" I nodded and said "When Mom got here." "Good now try and rest honey." He whispered, as he got up. "She's been sleeping, or at least trying to since we got home... But she kept waking up." Ben said "Yeah, that happens whenever I'm not near her... She gets scared."

Later that night, Ben and I were in bed, me curled up in his side. I said "IS mom going to come over again in the morning?" He nodded and said "Yeah, I'll get your work from your teachers, and if you feel up to it, we can work on it together at night. I know you don't sleep well without me, but the medicine should help you sleep." I said "I like that idea, Ben. Thank you." I snuggled deeper into his chest, as we drifted asleep.

I was home with Belle during the day. It was usually uneventful. Ben and I got our schoolwork and homework done in the evening when he got home. Ben came in on day three of me being sick, to me sitting on the couch, versus our bed. "Hey. Someone's feeling better I see." He said with a grin. Belle came in and said "Hey, son. Yes, she is! She ate 2 whole bowls of soup for lunch, some eggs with jelly toast for breakfast. There's leftover soup on the stove, for dinner." He hugged Belle before he sat beside me, which is when I laid my head on his shoulder. "Thanks mom!" Ben and I said together, before I took a nap in Ben's arms.

When I woke, we ate dinner then did our schoolwork and homework. "I want to try and go back to school tomorrow." I stated, and Ben said "Are you sure Mal? Are you really sure?" I nodded and said "I am sure." Ben smiled and said "Then it's a plan, and I got a surprise for you tomorrow." I said "What's the surprise?" Ben smirked and said "You'll see, and I know you will like it." We watched the TV in our room and cuddled each other. I fell asleep against Ben's chest, much to my surprise as I had been sleeping on and off all day.

In the morning, I woke up early showered and dressed before I made myself some jelly toast, and eggs and brought it up to Ben. We ate breakfast in bed before we went to the school. "I'll see you soon." He whispered and acted like he was going to his class. I went to my class and when I got there, I saw Ben sitting in the back room, at the desk beside where mine was. I went over and sat at my desk, before I said "What are you doing here?" I asked, with delight. "I got a major schedule change, so now I have all the same classes and times as you." I hugged him quickly and said "Thank you!"
