6:00 am

Despite being out so late the night before, Luna was up at first light, excited that after an almost two-month vacation she would be rejoining the workforce.

Resigning from her job in Chicago for the chance to work in paradise, she gave herself a treat of a month and a half's time to get herself settled into her family's vacation home in Honolulu.

It had been over two years since she had last taken a real vacation, she decided no time was like the present to give herself a well-deserved extra-long session of r and r.

Her little sister Roxy had graciously taken off the same amount of time to help sell whatever Luna would no longer be needing, as well as packing both sentimental and essentials that they deemed necessary.

They took the time for sisterly bonding along with long overdue girl time when each of their mothers came down to help with the big move, having never lived any place other than the quite little south side neighborhood of Garfield Ridge, it was hard on Luna's mother to have her youngest daughter moving so far away.

Despite having family on the island, like her own little sister Cielo, her husband Miguel, and many cousins to keep Luna's village of support strong, like any mother whose daughter was moving over two thousand miles away.

She worried.

Walking back into her ensuite bathroom Luna brushed the frizz and fly-aways from her bedhead, a small smile forming onto her face as she recalled the events from the night before.

"Damn this stuff could survive a nuclear war." She said to herself as she observed her cat eye still looking flawless.

Pulling her hair into a messy bun, she slipped into her favorite strappy sport bikini, jean shorts and Birkenstocks; she went on about her morning routine.

Once in the kitchen she connected her iPhone to her Bluetooth speaker letting her favorite music radiate throughout the house as she cleaned the vast mess that had been accumulating the past few weeks.

"Ugh gross!" She said in disgust, clearing off what looked like a war zone of junk food.

Gnats hovered over the grey marble counters that covered with the remnants of what looked like a buffet of leftovers, fit for any nostalgic woman having a flashback to middle school sleep overs.

Everything from leftover tacos, Hot Cheetos and the occasional Mexican street corn littered the kitchen as the sisters had celebrated Luna's last weekend off.

Luna was not a neat freak per-say but growing up with the drill sergeants of cleanliness known as her mom and stepmother, the want and need for a clean house had been engrained into her biology.

'Nunca sabes cuando te va caer la visita.' (You never know when a guest will drop by) Luna heard her mother's voice in her head over and over in her mind as she wiped down the counter with Clorox wipes.

Later that morning she would get a little reminder of how right her mother was all these years with that famous quote of hers.

Meanwhile in the McGarrett household things were just as busy, Steve was already out of bed and doing his morning push-ups and sit-ups, most of his housework had been done already since he as well had taken some time off albeit for vastly distinct reasons compared to Luna.

The only chore left for him to do was to clean out and wash his monstrosity of a truck.

Like any typical male keeping his beloved truck relatively clean it didn't take him long to find something out of the ordinary that was off from the normal ammo box and tactical gear.

Smiling in remembrance of an interesting night with Luna, he recalled wearing a scarf like sweater at the end of the night when leaving Cielo's, he wondered if it was just a coincidence that it had managed to fall to the back of his truck.

Decision time came for Steve as he pondered bringing her the article of clothing today or just waiting until he would see her later that week.

A bit of an internal battle ensued as he was leaned more towards waiting until he saw her later that week to return it to her, but for whatever reason his mind flashed back to a conversation that he had with a former police officer when he was sitting in the hospital church.

Something about having found the right woman to put up with the demands of the workforce and having been married for forty-five years, it was impossible to know where things would lead to with Luna or how it would end.

Even with the heartbreaking ending with Catherine lingering in the back of his mind, there was something in the way that man spoke to him that stayed with him, a simple elder lecture to a young buck that anyone else would have written off.

But it continued to stay with him.

'I'm sure the right girl is out there for you somewhere.'

'Screw it.' He thought to himself.

He didn't mind seeing her again so soon, and by the ways he flirted with him the night before, he was sure that she wouldn't mind either.

Jogging back upstairs to brush his teeth and change into a clean smelling shirt, he was off in the direction of Luna's house.

Back at Luna's, she had just finished all chores inside the house, all that was left to do was feed the dogs, scoop out leaves, and flower petals that had fallen into the pool.

"Dax! Bebe! Food!" She yelled as she turned the music down a little lower so her babies could hear as she shook their food bowls. Nails scratching on wood could be heard throughout the house as her pups scurried down to get their food.

Wherever they traveled together, the two pups much like their owner caught the attention with their captivating looks.

Bebe, the female of the pack was a gorgeous all white German Shepard, while the yin to her yang Dax an all-black larger male gave the distinct impression that it would be a bad idea to mess with their mother.

She gave them a quick pat on each head after putting their food bowls next to the water bowls in the laundry room.

Readying herself for the sun, she slipped on her green sunglasses and walked out onto the patio to get to make the pool nice and clean before she started on her morning laps.

The back yard of Luna's collective parent's summer home was something out of an interior designer's dream, a long cement patio that followed the length of the house.

Underground pool beautifully so that the water would always sparkle with that distinct hue of Hawaii blue.

Being a family that loves to entertain and enjoy their tasty BBQ's and carne asadas, the heads of Luna's beloved family spared no expense when it came to fitting the outdoor living space with a bar, Blackstone, and industrial sized grill.

Also being a family that included six kids, each of their spouses, an ever-growing number of grandchildren as well as grand puppies, they made sure to leave enough grassy fenced in room that was just a small staircase away for both grandchildren and pups to run around.

Luna had put back the net where all the rest of the pool supplies were house in the shed on the side of the house, and she quickly dusted off all the patio furniture dumping it in the garbage.

Steve pulled into the driveway of Luna's house taken aback at not only the sheer size but also the architecture of the home before him.

Clearly having been distracted by conversation with Luna, and of course the lack of proper lighting, her house had not seemed like such a mansion as it did during the daylight hours.

Shaking off the never-ending list of questions that started to brew, he picked Luna's scarf off the seat of his truck and made his way up the drive.

Just as he was about to ring the doorbell, he caught sight of Luna through the screen door in the kitchen, dancing and singing to a tune that he knew but now could not recall the name of.

(Bidi Bidi Bom Bom by Selena, Rest in Peace)

Even over the volume of the speaker he could hear her voice as she projected her own volume over the songs.

Once it got to the guitar solo, she let loose as she danced throughout the kitchen, swinging her hips, careful of any counter corners or chair legs as she had learned the hard way mornings past.

Even in such a captivated state he hadn't wanted to lurk any longer than he already had, for fear that a neighbor or Luna herself would catch him.

He simply ripped off the band aid and pushed the Ring camera button.

Just as Luna was about to strip dance down to her shorts and head back out onto the patio for her laps, the music lowered to let the ring camera alert let her know that she had a visitor.

Barks erupted from the backyard as Dax and Bebe ran in from the backyard, doing their best to beat Luna to the door to inspect.

"Easy you two." She said as she followed behind, squinting to see who interrupted her ritual of dancing while she cleaned.

Eyes growing wide as the smile that came after realizing who was waiting at her door.

Steve who thought himself confident with women, was utterly floored into silence by the beauty walking toward him, the closer she walked, once again her bombshell figured features became more prominent.

She had this natural sway of her hips as she walked, to him the most attractive thing that drew him in was that she wore it all with a non-conceited type of confidence that radiated with her presence.

"I knew I was forgetting something last night." Her voice shook him out of his head.

"Oh, so it wasn't on purpose?" She rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"I'm not that calculated; besides I could have waiting until Thursday for this." A sly smirk mastered across her face as she spoke.

"Well in that case I'll just take this back with me." She giggled as he tried to hide it behind his back.

"Hand over the scarf and come in." He handed it back to Luna.

Sniffing, whining, and wagging tails swarmed around Steve as he walked through the doorway.

"Dax, Bebe, down now." She said forcefully.

As commanded both pups immediately sat down, noses up in the air and tails wagging as they begged for a scratch on the head.

"Sorry about these two…. still working on training." Steve patted the eager pups on the head chuckling at their desperation for more of his attention.

"Nah – don't worry about it…. German Shepherd?" She grabbed a large rope toy from their toy basket and sent them off in the grass area running to see who get it first, the two kept each other company by fighting over the rope toy and racing around the yard.

"Yep. They both are."

"Even the white one?" She nodded.

"She is my rare one, but yep…. come on out." She called out as she walked outside.

"It's okay, I don't want to impose."

"Impose on what, my morning laps?" Steve followed her out onto the patio, eying her up and down he noticed a tattoo on the base of her neck.

A beautifully done sun and moon back-to-back a girl with orange hair and the hair sprawled out as if it were rays from the sun and then the moon looking down and her blue hair in the shape of a crescent moon.

"Nice tattoo." She smiled and touched the back of her neck showing affection toward the sentimentality of her first tattoo.

"Thanks, this one was my first." She set the scarf down on the island counter.

"When did you get it?" He asked curiously as it looked nicely touched up.

"Senior year of high school, I snuck out with a few friends to a parlor in the city and there went my summer after graduation." Steve chuckled.

"Parents flipped out?" She nodded.

"That is an understatement. They grounded that entire summer before college."

"Fake ID?"

"I was already 18, so more of a crime against my mother rather than being in any kind of legal trouble." The mere mention of the word mother seemed to trigger Steve as he abruptly changed the subject.

"You mentioned something about morning laps?" She nodded slowly, not missing the way that he reacted.

"My morning ritual…. Wanna join in on the fun?"

"You swim laps for fun?" He asked curiously.

"As a workout and yeah, I guess I would consider working out fun."

"We could make it even more fun…." She said noticing that his mind goes to a particularly raunchy place.

"Okay." He chuckled, mind indeed going to a very dirty place, waiting for her response.

"Get your skinny-dipping mind out of the gutter, travieso, I'm talking about a race." (Travieso means naughty boy)

"What do I get if I win?" She leaned over the stone counter next to the grill.

"I'll make you breakfast." He scoffed.

"Is that all?" He asked jokingly.

"Depends on how much you beat me by." She wiggled her eyebrows and walked over to the pool.

"And if you win?"

"Bragging rights of course…. telling everyone I beat a SEAL at race." He laughed.

"Is that all?" He asked the question once again as he followed her out to the pool deck.

"I'm fine with simplicity but by all means if you want to pick my prize, I'm all for it." Feeling his eyes on her body she had a mischievous smirk on her face while slowly unbuttoning her shorts she straightened out her body to emphasize her curves, after she simply kicked her shorts off onto one of the lounge chairs lining the pool.

She pulled her hair back into a tight bun, letting her eyes cautiously wander over to Steve who was slipping his shirt off, flexing each one of those ripped muscles with every movement.

"Enjoying the view?"

"Body like yours? Who wouldn't?" He was surprised at the fact that she was not past hitting on him directly and so confidently as well, he loved it.

"Alright, first to hit five laps here and back wins."

"You're on." Steve replied.

They stood on either side of the diving board giving themselves a moment to stretch out, before counting to three and then diving in.

Steve tore through the water like it was nothing, getting to the other side in mere seconds, Luna following not far behind. In the end it was her hair that held her back as her weak hair coil snapped mid swim.

Letting Steve snag, the win by no more than ten seconds.

"And the Navy man wins!" Steve fist pumped the air, Luna rolled her eyes and chuckled at his boasted ego.

"Yeah, yeah woo!" She said with little enthusiasm.

"Ah c'mon don't be a sore loser." She floated on her back letting her hair sprawl out beside her.

"Ego just a little bruised over here, but you'll still get your breakfast." She said brightly with a smile on her face stroking around the deep end in a relaxed state.

Steve jumped back into the pool, letting himself float beside her.

"You might've won if you didn't have that mop hanging around loose." She burst into a fit of laughter as it was true.

Not letting the insult slide past unpunished, she splashed Steve and swam off in a fit of giggles.

"Hey!" He swam after her intent on getting her back, once he caught up to her, she assumed his intentions and splashed him in the face again before he could get back at her, she swam off in a fit of laughter.

"C'mon – Navy Man catch me!" she mocked the little nickname he gave himself.

"Now you're gonna get it!" He said as he bolted after her as quickly as he could, intent on not letting her get away again. Catching a squeaking Luna in the deep end he grabbed her by the waist and dunked her down under water along with him.

"Alright alright…. I surrender." She said as Steve pulled her back up above water, hands still at her waist subtly pulled her close to him.

"Didn't put up much of a fight." He stated.

"I choose my battles wisely." She let her body lay back against his chest.

Steve had said the night before that he did not consider it a first date – his way of saying that he didn't want to move too fast. The heavy flirting and lustful stares that he and Luna had exchanged left him wanting so much more and he knew it would be easy to get too intimate too quickly.

Now having such gorgeous woman in a close embrace, that little thought had slightly faded as he felt this overwhelming want to kiss her.

Luna on the other hand kept to the statement that she had relayed into her sister…. the one about going for it if she felt it was worth it, crazy as it was, she had a lot of fun with Steve and didn't mind seeing where this could possibly lead to.

Steve seemed to oblige in that same thought.

A text notification revealed that it was already 7:15am.

Throwing her head back dramatically she let go of Steve's embrace and let her upper body float, he raised an eyebrow at the woman in his arms groaning out in annoyance.

"Mondays suck." She said in a gloomy voice.

"C'mon they aren't that bad." She lifter her head up to face him and gave a playful glare.

"You're telling that to a girl who is pretty content huggin' on a half-naked dead ringer for Captain America and in two hours I have to report to work…. Yeah, Mondays are great." Her last statement dripped with sarcasm.

"Pretty content huh?" He asked as he pulled her in closer toward him, wondering just how content she really was.

Luna grinned, showing off her pearly whites that included unusually sharp canines, making her dazzling smile all the more enticing.

Her hands slid upward on his torso, wet hands against warm skin, until he laced her fingers around his neck.

Brown eyes flickering up to meet his, she noticed the intense shade of hazel and blue that melted together, they were kind and beautiful she thought to herself.

"More or less." She said in a hushed tone.

Closing the gap between them she brushed her lips against his playfully.

He went along with it for all of two seconds, as the electric feeling coming from her full lips took over his mind, arms tightening around her waist, Steve pulled her in closer, deepening his hold on her mouth.

They say that a new flame can heal the aching of a broken heart.

It starts off with step one, an electrifying kiss that jolts you back to a time where you never knew what heartbreak could do to you, and that's just what happened to each of them….at least for the few moments that they let themselves get lost in.

What started off between the two as an innocent kiss filled with curiosity, turned passionate, neither knowing what got into them.

"How about now?" He asked between long kisses, wondering if she was still as content as she claimed to be.

"Utterly content…. I love Mondays." She moaned out in between kisses earning a chuckle from Steve who was satisfied by her answer.

The fog of passion had lifted Luna's mind, snapping her back to reality.

She pulled away abruptly, blurting out the first thing that came to mind.

"You hungry yet?"

"Kinda."

Steve was left breathless as she made her way to the pool later, only able to gawk at this girl in all her glory as she made her way back to the edge of the pool.

She grabbed a towel for each of them and tossed one at Steve who had gotten out of the pool as well.

"Sweet or savory?" She asked.

"You know I was joking about the bet and all that." He said as he dried himself off in the sunlight.

"I was gonna make breakfast anyway…. most important meal of that day and all that." She had a point, he knew he would not have had time to make it back home get ready and make breakfast, so he decided to cash in on his win.

"Alright- uh…. surprise me." She nodded and started to walk inside.

"I'm just gonna get changed. Make yourself at home."

Steve waited until he dried himself off a little better and put on his shirt to go in and snoop on Luna's home life.

He wandered through the living room, walks littered with framed family photos.

Some photos including Luna and her sister Roxy.

Others with younger versions of Luna with her natural hair natural dark brown locks, always with a carbon copy beside her.

So, she was a twin.

He came to another photo which he thought to be a family photo.

'Damn.' He thought to himself as he counted fourteen people in the photo, two couples, and a group of six kids who all looked to vary in age.

Luna walked down the stairs in a pair of yoga pants and a camisole, she smiled as she saw Steve looking at her family photo trying to figure out who was who.

"Typical large Mexican family as you can see." He looked up at her and smiled.

"Hard to figure out yeah, but I'm pretty sure we all have complicated family stories." He said meaning it to the last word thinking about just how complicated his own family was.

She walked over next to him pointing to each family member giving a brief explanation for each.

"The couple on the left is my mom Isabela with my stepdad Antonio, couple on the right is my dad Mauricio and my stepmom Malgorzata, my parents had my older siblings Roberto, Gabriela, and my twin sister Solei and I. Mom and Antonio had Antonio jr. and dad and Agnes had Roxy." He let out a nervous chuckle.

"Damn, I didn't think it was gonna be that complex." She laughed along with him.

"Tell me about it. I've never seen an exes and new spouses get along as well as the four of them have over the years."

"Really?" He asked.

"My mom was a bridesmaid and helped plan Agnes' wedding and vice versa, it's nice but really weird at the same time. I or I should say we never got away with ANYTHING growing up."

"Oh really? What about that ink on the back of your neck?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I had an accomplice for this one." He followed her into the kitchen and sat down on the island counter watching her as she pulled up a pot of fresh brew and poured him a mug, after getting him cream and sugar she started on making her favorite- chorizo and egg tacos.

"What about you Gringo…. Any siblings?" He nodded.

"Yeah, an unpredictable little sister Mary." She looked up as she was pulling chorizo out of its casing and chopping it up.

"Every family has to have a wild child."

"Who's the wild one in your family?" She giggled at the fact that he hadn't put two in two together yet.

"You have to ask?"

"You?" She nodded.

"Not really, the most unpredictable move was the ink on the back of my neck."

"Her last unpredictable move was adopting a baby girl a few years ago, now she's knee deep in motherhood. They live on the mainland now." She smiled.

"Aww- Uncle Steve! That's sweet." She exclaimed picturing him holding a baby.

"Yeah, she comes to the island a couple times a year to visit."

She handed Steve his plate and took a seat on the barstool next to him in front of her own.

"This is really good, where'd you learn to cook?"

"I grew up with a Mexican mom and a Polish mom. Learning how to cook, bake and clean is like graduating high school and college mandatory." Steve laughed, assuming that both her mom and stepmom were traditional.

"Well, I can see why you passed." She smiled and took another chug of her coffee.

"Thanks, glad you like it, I'm probably gonna have to start meal prepping with going back to work. I'm not sure I'll have time like this anymore." He smiled at her.

"You said you'd tell me what you did next time." He stated, she chuckled as she quickly munched on her last bite.

"Ni lo pienses, this was an impromptu next time, you'll have to wait until Thursday for that one." (Don't even think about it) She smirked at the playful glare that he had given her, he thought it was adorable that she was being so mysterious.

"Fine but come Thursday night – no excuses."

"Deal." She got an evil look at her face knowing that she would knock him off his feet when he found out what she did for a living.

"I better get going." He said as he handed her the last dish left to load into the washer.

"Thanks for bringing me my scarf, I'll walk you out." She led him back through the house and to the front door.

"No problem, I had fun."

"Me too, took away all of the first day of work nerves." He walked closer to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I'm sure you've got nothin' to be nervous about – you'll do fine." He waited for her to mention something or give another hint as to what she does.

She shook her head, motioning locking a key against her mouth.

"Talk to you later?" She asked, the mischievous grin never leaving her grin.

"Absolutely."

"Bye." She smiled as he walked off and turned back to smile at her back, she turned back to walk inside and get ready for work as soon as he drove off.

Sighing in delight at her wonderful morning she skipped off happily and quickly as she only has forty-five minutes left to make herself look presentable for work.

While Steve had made himself at home in her home, she had taken a quick ten-minute shower to clean off the chlorine from the pool.

After drying her hair all the way she made sure to add silk drops to get that silky shine and quick did a presentable side braid, letting her side bangs swoop down and frame her face.

Having her clothes laid out the night before she slipped into her dark denim skinny jeans, a black v neck tee and a green cargo vest; the best she saved for last her favorite black leather Sorel Joan of Arctic wedge mid boots.

Feeling satisfied with her outfit she moved onto make up, instead of the intricate flashy stuff that she usually did, today she opted for simplicity in the form of bronzer and highlighter for her face; then for her eyes she did a simple cat eye with two layers of mascara –simple but beautiful she thought to herself.

With a sweep of lip oil on her lips, she packed up her duffle with a change of workout clothing and a pair of Nikes.

"Adios mis amores!" She said in a high-pitched baby voice that would make anyone around her laugh.

She kissed each of them goodbye before hurrying out the door that led to the garage and her third most precious baby of all a sleek white Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Designed to the T of Luna's design desire, it was fully equipped with black leather, black rims, tinted windows and a gorgeous sunroof to give the convertible vibe when driving on the island.

Her rules were simple only she could drive it unless of course for emergencies it was okay, no smoking allowed; she was more lenient on drinks and food, but they had to have bags and enclosed cups to minimize spillage.

Opening the garage door and turning over the engine on her baby, it roared to life as she sped out of the driveway as there were no other cars on the road.

Following her GPS to the t but not the speed limit she reached the palace in record time.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the palace that housed Honolulu's 5-0 task force.

A past favorite song came on the radio as she pulled into a diagonal spot close to the entrance and she couldn't help herself as she started to sing and dance obnoxiously as one of her favorite songs in her playlist began.

(Another night Real McCoy)

Not realizing that she had an audience she lowered the volume and continued the singing and small dance moves as she grabbed her large metal tumbler of ice water, and from the backseat her backpack and box of goodies.

Turning off her car she locked the doors as she stepped out still singing the song even the music had ended up until she realized that someone was watching with a very amused look on her face.

"Oh my god! Sorry I didn't know anyone was around." Luna chuckled as Kono stifled her laughter.

"No need to be sorry. I needed a morning laugh. I'm Kono." Kono joked and introduced herself.

"Very funny, Luna Santiago, please tell me the palace isn't a total maze." Kono smiled.

"Not at all. Where are you headed?" They started walking toward the palace entrance.

"Uh…. five o task force?"

"Ah so you're the newbie we've all been waiting to meet." Luna smiled.

"Reporting for duty." She smiled brightly and said in a chipper voice.

Stopping at the front desk so Luna could pick up her entrance badge, they took a quick picture for her identification badge, and they were on their way up.

"Mcgarrett's called a meeting so you can get acquainted with everyone."

"Mcgarrett?" She was blanking on her boss's full name.

"Steve Mcgarrett, team leader." Luna nodded, unable to contain her smile as she heard the name Steve.

Before they could continue their conversation, her phone pinged as a text message appeared on her screen, a message from an unfamiliar number.

'Quit being nervous, you'll do fine…. Steve.'

Smiling as she looked down at her phone, she bit her lip trying to keep from blushing as she texted back, thanking him for his support.

"Sorry, my mind is just blanking completely this morning." Kono couldn't t contain her laughter.

"I know that face." Luna rolled her eyes and smiled.

"What face?" She asked as they got into the elevator.

"The love bug face." Before Luna could deny anything, another 5-0 team member walked into the elevator greeting Kono and complaining about having to have a meeting just for a newbie.

"Lou Grover- is like to introduce you to Luna Santiago – our newbie from Chicago." Luna pursed her lips in amusement at Lou's reaction.

"Before we continue introductions, I just have one question…." His face got very serious, serious to the point where it made Luna feel even more nervous than before.

"Cubs or White Sox?" She chuckled at his question feeling relieved.

"Now what kind of south side pride would I have if I said Cubs, White Sox all the way." Lou laughed.

"Aw yeah girl we're gonna get along just fine." They went in for the signature hand slap and fist bump.

"Glad to hear it." She said happily, hoping that the rest of her day would go as well as this morning was going.

They walked through the halls together just chatting about what they missed most about their beloved Windy City.

Steve, Danny, and Chin had arrived an hour earlier than everyone else that morning shocked to find the body of a dead man just a few feet after entering their headquarters. Luckily, the M. E's office was quick to respond, and they had the entire office processing within that same hour.

After all the shock wore down and they tried to figure out what the hell was going on, conversations turned to gossip about Steve's night with Luna.

"Cut it out will yah? Nothing happened I drove her home and that's it." Steve tried to shake Danny off as he was currently rly following him around pestering him about his night with Luna.

"So, you're saying nothing happened last night." Danny stated while studying Steve's face as if looking for a lie.

"Nothing." It wasn't technically a lie considering everything that happened between the possible pair happened this morning. Steve let a small smirk fall upon his face as he thought of his morning with Luna, and that's when Danny pounced.

"Ah-ha! I knew it!" Danny started laughing.

"She left her scarf in my truck last night, so I brought it to her this morning." Danny raised his eyebrow knowing that there was more to it than that.

"What a gentleman." They both walked into his office where Danny would continue to pester Steve into spilling the details on this morning.

Walking through the glass doors of 5-0s lair the M.E was just wheeling out the body of Anthony Lee Hein, with a quick explanation from Noelani they went in search for the others to figure out what was going on.

"Wow. My first day and someone drops a stiff in the office, are things always this spontaneous around here?" She asked setting as she set down her goodies on the tablet table in the main lobby.

"You have no idea." Kono commented.

"I made these over the weekend with my sister, help yourselves." She said opening her plastic Tupperware.

"What are they?"

"Pineapple empanadas." Kono and Lou started snacking and raving about how good they were.

Luna was listening in on a conversation between Kono and Lou while rummaging through her backpack to make sure she had packed all of the work essentials when she heard footsteps approaching.

"Hey guys come meet our newbie." Kono called out at Steve, Danny and Chin who didn't seem to notice Luna down at her feet.

Luna quickly zipped her backpack closed and stood back up to greet the rest of her colleagues.

Her excited expression quickly turned to a full wide eyed, mouth agape look as she stared on at two men that she had met at the club friends of the man that she had spent the morning in an intense lip lock with.

Danny and chin immediately recognized the red headed beauty, looking over at Steve's completely shocked expression put two and two together, Steve's new love interest was their new teammate.

Both Danny and Chin couldn't contain their laughter as they looked at both Steve's and Luna's blushing expressions.

Kono was the third to put things together as she had remembered Chin saying something this morning in a picture text of some girl on stage captioned, Steve's new girl.

"Well, are you two gonna let us in on what's so funny?" Lou asked in a grouchy mood not understanding what could possibly be this funny.
