Chapter 46: The Lives of the Village in the Sticks
"That's some hole you opened up there, Licht." Rhya teased. "You sure it was okay, though? You sorta blasted your sword and Grimoire along with it."
"Maybe Carys is correct." Licht admitted. "That Grimoire no longer belongs to me. Let us go, Rhya."
Outside...
"Zora." the rescued Mimosa blinked when Zora exited the forest.
"This way." the Trap Magic user gestured. "The Silver Eagles' Captain is over here, too."
Back in the fortress...
"They're just unconscious." Rhya gave Elf!Klaus and Elf!Hamon a look over.
"Hey, Rhya." Ado, possessing Cob's body, greeted, exiting from a portal. "How have you been?"
"Not too bad." Rhya replied. "How about everyone else?"
"One moment." Ado summoned three additional portals, letting the other elf-possessed Royal Knights through. "It's been so long, everyone. About 500 years, isn't it? I'm glad you all seem well."
"Let's go." Rhya gave Elf!Siren the go-ahead. "To get our other friends and to destroy the humans."
Outside...
"This really sucks." Zora informed the newly awakened Asta. "But while you were asleep, it started heading towards the royal capital. You actually did come back alive. Just how lucky are you, you little shit?"
"Where's Mereoleona?" Asta asked, still wincing from his injuries.
"She's still pleasantly knocked out." Zora pointed. "Doesn't seem like she's waking anytime soon. And she's probably kill us if we woke her."
"Thank goodness we are all okay." En interjected, arriving with Nozel. "Although the other two became our enemies."
"Magic Tool: Eilia's Booth." Nozel took out the ornate cylinder and activated the Healing Magic on Asta, Yuno and Mimosa.
"Everyone, you're all safe." Noelle arrived to the gathering site with Kirsch in her 'Sea Dragon's Cradle'.
"Noelle, where are the others?" Asta asked, after Kirsch collapsed into the' Eilia's Booth's healing area.
"I'm not sure what happened, but Luck turned into an enemy." Noelle replied.
"The fellow from the Crimson Lion Kings, too." Kirsch supplied.
"The same happened to us with Klaus and Hamon." Mimosa added.
"Same with Rill and some others." Asta stated.
"Captain Nozel." Nozel's communication device went off. "Captain Nozel, can you hear me?"
"What's wrong?" Nozel inquired.
"Captain Nozel, thank goodness." the Silver Mage on the other end was relieved. "I finally got through to you. A number of our Squad members suddenly went berserk and started saying strange things like 'We've elves.' They have way more magic than normal. We can't handle them on our own. Apparently, similar incidents are happening with all of the Squads. There's something going on all over the Kingdom..." his report was cut off by a horrified scream.
"We are Magic Knights." Nozel declared. "We must save the Clover Kingdom, no matter what happens; even if we have to kill our fellow Magic Knights."
"Luck's attacks didn't hit me." Noelle admitted. "Despite how fast he was, we were able to get away. I think Luck made sure that would happen. That must mean Luck's soul is fighting, too. Just as Yuno is doing okay, I'm sure the others will be able to regain their senses. There must be a way. We, the Magic Knights, are going to save them; both the Kingdom and our friends."
