The kid was the good doctor's niece? He couldn't believe it. It was like fate was now laughing at him. Talk about karma biting him in the tail! She was five now and clearly still remembered him much to his dismay. She also remembered Wizowski and Sully. The sight of the two drawn in crayon made his gut knot up with guilt. She may never forget their friendship, but how he hoped she would grow up and all of them would be considered as imaginary friends or some other childish thing. Did she tell her family uncle about the monster world? He doubted it because he didn't bring it up. She probably didn't know how to explain it herself even if she wanted to at this age.

Either way, it was finally going to be all over soon. His time in this hellhole would finally come to and end. He wouldn't have to live out his days in this place. Two years was long enough, thank you very much. Despite everything, he was proud of himself. He never broke. He never gave in. His home was safe. Everyone in his world was safe. He can be at peace. The end was going to be horrible, though. He wondered if the doctor was going to have a trick up his sleeve. What a crazy wake up call. Instead of breakfast, it was an enraged doctor and rightfully so. He was trying to protect his niece. Randall didn't blame him. Instead of simply sitting in his cell, it felt like he was on death row. His day was insanely boring. All his activities were stripped away. Now, all he had were his thoughts and he really enjoyed those noisy things. However, instead of feeling like he was going crazy, all he could do was think about the smiling picture of Sully and Wizowski. If things really were different, he could've stayed friends with Mike throughout college and then what? Friends at work? Possibly the three of them? He remember when he got hired at Monster's Inc after graduating and found Sully had recently been promoted to Scarer. He believe that the moment those two were expelled, that was the last he was ever going to see them. How wrong he was! Now, he found himself longing for such a friendship. Sully and Mike were friends in college and ten years later, they were still thick as thieves.

Randall never had that.

He never had anyone to count on. He lost contact with some of his so-called friends after college. A couple worked at Monsters Inc on different scare floors while the rest moved. He ones he did have "contact" simply became co-workers with their own arrogance. The only one who supported him was his mother and he was cold to her at times. He could've been a better son and friend. He knew many people had regrets, but his ate him to the core. He could only hope that refusing to give up any information would somehow be a redemption, but thinking back to the doctor's niece, how could it be? Nothing he could do would ever redeem him for that.

Ever.

Sleep came strangely easy for Randall that night. He already made peace with his fate and he would no longer have to bare the torment that this place provided. He would no longer have to listen to the screams of the other experiments. He was–

An alarm blared, making him jump awake with a pounding heart. A red light by the camera was spinning. Screams were so loud that it sound like it was in the same hall. Suddenly, his cell door began to open. He quickly camouflaged, squeezed his eyes shut– expecting the same fate as Snow. However, when there weren't any bullets, he slowly opened his eyes to loud screaming and shouting, followed by distant gunshots over the constant alarm.

This was it. This was the only chance to possibly get out of this place for good.

Still camouflaged, the reptile darted out of the cell, smelling smoke. All of the cells in the hall was open. The lights were out, but the red lights were still spinning while the alarm continued to blare. Unsure of where to go, he ran along the wall, heading right, hoping to find exit signs. Every time he would be transferred anywhere in the facility, he would be drugged. He came across a fork in the hallway and just as he look right, a shadowy creature pounced on a woman. Randall quickly turned left before he could see anymore. To his relief, there was a stairwell sign at the end. He put a hand on the handle, but he pulled away, waving his hand. It was hot. Cursing under his breath, he had to go where the shadow was.

After getting lost while creatures that he could not discribe were roaming the halls and slaughtering everyone. Some would even fight each other. He hurried through the mayhem and destruction, then busted through a door. It looked like offices with a dead creature. He went through the halls, then recognized a familiar bald man frantically shuffling through a desk in the office. He noticed there was. a gun on the table. Randall climbed on the ceiling, swiped the gun off the desk, startling the doctor. He revealed himself on the desk.

Dr. Kovac staggered back like he saw a ghost, glancing at the gun that was now by the wall. Sweat dripped from his brow with terrified eyes. It was so good to see fear in those eyes.

"How do I get out of this place?" Randall demanded.

"You won't," the doctor snarled, trying to be intimidating.

Randall bared jagged teeth, then lunged at the good doctor.
