Note

Here is another chapter. I'm thinking of making a kitbash of my OC at some point.

As always I hope you enjoy the story and please like and follow it. I really feel like I'm getting into my stride with this story. This chapter will be shorter than the others since it's capping off the pilot arc.

chapter 4

Unknown location

The Alpha had wandered the forest she was in for a while now, she was on a small island, an island with a large rock formation at the center of it, surrounded by orange leaves surrounding it. But by far the most glorious part of the island was the massive tree that shot straight up to the heavens from the very center of it.

There were so many beautiful animals around, deer, a couple of wolves, birds and she even saw a shoal of fish swim by her as she sat by a lake.

She had been here for an entire day now, it was night now and she stared up at the star's and the moon. She was sad that her friends didn't get to see such a beautiful sky.

She had never seen the sky, not until last night. "But why here?" she wondered, why had she landed on this island, her advanced mind looking every way it could. Despite her age, she was very knowledgeable, it scared her at times, knowing things she shouldn't know and asking questions that a child wouldn't ask.

"But why here? Why this island? Chance? Accident? Destiny? The Emperor's own hand?"

But for now she was tired, the bones of the fish she had caught with her bare hands and slight psychic manipulation lay at her feet and she was finishing up on writing the day's events on her friends' pages.

The book with legs had arrived safe and sound, she wrote in his page with her finger cut enough to draw blood, enough blood to write in. the final words on the first page of her new journal read, "But why here?" The book closed its pages and walked over to her as she curled up against the tree. Snuggled between its roots. Both book and Alpha went to sleep.

Bora's boat, Matt P.O.V

"You know him?" I absently asked the blond, she didn't answer, she looked ecstatic at this guy's arrival, Bora had awoken at this point and he, along with his goons, looked gobsmacked. The pink haired boy stayed crouched for a second, he then rose up. Then fell back to the ground, his face going green and his cheeks puffed.

"...so sick..." he heaved.

We all looked completely shocked. "What do you mean sick?" Blondy exclaimed, comically shocked.

"Does he have sea sickness?" I wondered, speaking out loud, to gobsmacked myself to notice that I spoke my mind.

"Motion Sickness actually" a high pitched voice answered, we all looked up. My heart stopped. A cartoonish, blue feline with white wings and a green pouch on its back floated in the air just under the hole created by the pink haired lad.

"Happy!" Lucy exclaimed, suddenly relieved.

It reminded me of the Caryatid, I wasn't sure what to do. Was it native? Xenos? Should I shoot it?

"Red Skull" Bora had got to his feet and summoned a flaming skull in his hands which he lobbed at me, it hit me point-blank before I had time to sweat, my shield was destroyed and i was launched through the wall with a crash and back outside, I fell down and i knew the impact would hurt.

I blacked out for at most 5 seconds, I was right, it had hurt, Helmawr's teeth, my back...my back felt like it had been hit by a thunder hammer and my head was ringing.

"Oh Scav" I cursed out loud and muttered many more curses as I struggled to stand up. I limped, not from any specific injury, but from the pain that hung over my entire body, I was wobbly on my feet. If my legs hadn't been enhanced with servo's and grav-coils, I fear I might not have been able to stand.

"Woof" Brutus was with me. Good, that was good, he looked at me expectantly, obediently sitting down in the exact same place I left him.

"How are you doing?" I asked rhetorically. Looking up, a massive fight, or rather, one sided beating was taking place on deck.

The pink haired kid, though he had spirit, was too bogged down by his Motion sickness and was getting punched this way and that by Bora's goons, Bora wasn't even bothering with using his psyker powers and ignoring the scene entirely.

Well, time to intervene.

I still had my autogun, i hadn't dropped it, i knew i had paid good money in getting my servo arms. I checked the mag, then pulled out Brutus' toy rat, "sick 'em" I told him and gave two good squeezes.

No POV

SQUEEK SQUEEK

Bora and his men turned at the odd sound.

Only to get pounced on by Brutus who jumped off the first man's torso and into the next man, knocking him to the ground, "the hell?" someone said.

"It's a stupid dog. Get it" Bora ordered.

Brutus wrapped his jaws around the thugs neck, he let out a small cry of shock before Brutus crunched down and broke his neck.

Everyone froze as Brutus flicked his head up and down to dislodge and swallow any meat in his teeth.

"Alright you scummers" Matt said revealing himself, Autogun raised, "time to choose? Die fighting or live behind bars?"

"Who do you think you are?" Bora demanded, "how the hell do you even know my name?"

"I'm a bounty hunter." Matt answered, leveling the rifle "and you have a bounty, now what will it be?"

No one had any time to answer however as at that moment the ship rocked violently. And all of sudden the boat was shooting forward, everyone was knocked to the deck as water rushed over the side of the ship, drenching everyone as they were all swept away by a massive tidal wave.

The wave carried them all the way back to town and continued so far up the beach that drenched the sides of the closest houses. Before retreating back to the ocean.

"It's official" Spluttered a very wet and very cross Matt to his very wet and very annoyed Mastiff that shook itself in order to attempt to get dry, "this is the worst job i have ever taken"

And that was saying something.

The ship had been beached, a small crowd had gathered around, everyone who had been on the boat were picking themselves up, the women who had been onboard the ship had now awoken and were running away as fast as they could.

"Now where is that bastard?" Matt had quite enough of this chase, time to end this hunt and collect the reward.

But as he looked around, he saw that the pink haired boy was standing up on the upturned side of the boat and glaring down at Bora and his thugs.

"So you say you're a member of Fairy tail?" he asked Bora directly. There was something in his voice, an anger, a sense of having been insulted and taking it personally.

"So what?" Bora asked, raising his hand as the boy took off his jacket.

"Funny thing is..." he said as he turned his shoulder, there was a pink tattoo that could have looked like an aviane or Fairy. All of a sudden it clicked in Matthias' mind, all of it came together neatly. "I don't remember seeing you at the guild!"

It clicked inside Bora as well and his men, as the young man lit his fist on fire, this must be the Salamander Bora had impersonated. "I'm Natsu Dragneel, and I'm going to kick your ass for the bad name you've given my guild!"

"Uh Bora, i think this is the real deal" one of Bora's Thugs whispered with an unmistakable quaver in his voice.

"So what!" Bora scoffed, "Prominence Typhoon" he shot a literal cyclone of purple fire at Natsu which consumed him.

Matt watched the fight, he decided to let Natsu get satisfaction from beating up Bora if he could, Matt wasn't exactly confident after an attack like that, the fight on his boat didn't raise any expectations.

But what happened next would remain in Matt's mind forever. The flames began to shrink and as everyone watched, they all realized that the flames were being sucked into something and then, Natsu reappeared, Eating the flames.

He was sucking the flames in through his mouth like it was soup or noodles, they didn't appear to harm him, even his clothes appeared completely unmarked.

"yuck! that's disgusting!" Natsu complained, whipping his mouth, looking like he had eaten something sour. "Oh well it gave me enough juice to light a fire In my belly"

Natsu slammed his fists together then puffed out his cheeks, "fire dragon roar!" He shot fire straight out of his mouth and directly at Bora, the explosion sent both the posser and his thugs flying across the beach. Nearly all of them were unconscious in that one hit.

Matt could only watch in amazement, it was a fantastic display, is this the power psykers on this world possess? Bora and his cronies were still alive. Bora was pissed, he shot a beam of fire at Natsu but the pink haired dragon slayer generated fire from his hands.

The fight went on, Bora blasting Natsu with whatever warpfire he used, but it was in vain, Natsu consumed each attack and responded with his own flame wreathed attacks.

"Fire Dragon iron fist" Natsu jumped into the air and swung his flaming fist, and hit Nora in the face. That was the final blow, Bora was thrown to the ground and bounced once, twice, three times before sliding to the feet of Matthias Grendel.

"Ohhh" Bora groaned looking up at the bounty hunter, dumbly, right before Matt stomped down on his head and knocked him out cold.

Satisfied that Bora wasn't going anywhere, Matt quickly lifted him over his shoulder and turned to leave, but was stopped when fire was blasted in front of him.

"Scav!" Matt exclaimed jumping back from the fire, "what gives"

"I'm not done kicking his ass" Natsu said, advancing on Matt but stopped when Matt drew Ironside on him.

"Piss off kid this is my Bounty" Matt warned cocking the Ironside, "you did me a favor today so I won't kill you. And he's more valuable to me, alive. So piss off"

However before any fight could break out a call of "Halt" came from behind them.

"It's the Army!" Lucy yelled in panic

Sure enough a whole platoon worth of men in primitive chainmail armor and wielding spears and shields came marching down the stairs.

Natsu grabbed Lucy by the arm and dragged her away with him as fast he could.

The army chased after them, completely ignoring Matt, Brutus and the unconscious Bora.

Matt was a little dismayed by this, "if these people had commissars this lot would be flogged for stupidity" no wonder there were so many dark guilds and people could get away with slavery here. This lot was useless.

"HEY" he called, grabbing a soldier by the arm to get his attention.

"What is it sir?" He asked.

Matt dropped Bora to the ground at the soldiers feet, "I believe this man has a bounty on him"

Unknown location

It was mid morning when Alpha woke up, and he was immediately on edge. The smell of death was in the air. Her book was in a panic, it was looking left and right and jumping at every noise.

She found the cause soon enough. She found a dead squirrel in front of her, she bent down and examined it, no injury or wound. No sign it was eating anything poisoned, it had only been dead a few minutes.

But there was a pressure in the air, a coldness in the atmosphere, as she went along, she found more and more dead animals, all with no physical death blow dealt to end their lives.

That was when she found him, the black haired man, the black haired man in a toga. He must have heard her approach as he turned to her. He had a distant look on his face, a dead look in his eyes.

The two stared at each other for a long while.

"You should leave" the man said, in an almost dead-pan tone, turning away from her, he stood in the center of all the dead animals around him. Could he be the cause of all this?

Curiosity was stronger than fear, and Alpha was too curious to obey, "I'm Alpha" she told the man, "what's your name?"

Author note

This chapter turned out a tad differently than what I planned but I think I like it this way.

but now we have come to the crossroads, like I said up top I am planning on keeping this character away from Fairy tail guild and make his own stories and narrative.

fairy tail will still be relevant to the story but definitely not the main focus. I'm sorry but that's the way it is. Matt and Fairy tails roads will cross but yeah look at this way...

While the events of Fairy tail show/manga happen Matt does a lot of stuff that's separate from that(like in the original trilogy with Boba Fett who does appear but isn't the main focus) and occasionally the different paths do cross.

confused? Good so am I

anyway I also would like to hear your ideas for other Necromunda crossover stories to do, I have some ideas but I would definitely like you guys who read and enjoy this story to help me out.
