As Leto stepped out of the room, she saw Artemis worriedly pacing back and forth. Instantly hearing the sound of the door opening, Artemis' feet lightly tapped the ground, appearing in front of Leto.
The amount of concern was overflowing to the point that it felt like someone was dying.
Leto had never seen her daughter show so much emotion before, and for a man no less.
The titaness could see it her eyes that she really loved and cared about the boy.
She had completely fallen head over heels in love.
Leto wondered if this is what she looked like when she had fallen in love.
It's quite the sight to see your child so deeply in love. It is a bit like watching your past self.
Of course, she had seen Apollo in a love struck state before, but Artemis was more similar to her.
She was the type of person to only fall in love once.
Artemis looked to be the exact same way.
Truly like mother like daughter.
Leto couldn't help herself from chuckling, granting her a confused look from Artemis.
Affectionately patting her daughter's head, Leto said, "You better hold on to him as long as possible. He's a good man."
Leto meant those words. From the few interactions that she had with the boy, he didn't peg her as the type to have multiple partners, unlike a certain someone, and seemed like the type to set his partner his very first priority.
Fortunately, Artemis had fallen for someone good because who knew the number of men trying to get into her pants.
Goodness, the amount of bad people in the world was seriously disturbing.
Nonetheless, she felt very safe, entrusting her daughter in Perseus' hands.
"Mother! What are you talking about!" Her face held a frown, but turned a soft shade of red.
Wow. Leto never knew her daughter could look so cute.
Her embarrassed face looked so pinch-able.
"Artemis dear~ it's clear as day that you like him. You can't fool your mother." Leto gave Artemis a look that said that she knew everything.
"Mother! Now is not the time!"
Giggling, Leto said, "Yes, yes. You're right. You're right. Where were we?"
"Mother, do you know what's going on?"
Leto's playful demeanor turned serious at the question. "I do. But..."
"But?"
"But, I cannot say."
Artemis' face looked like she had eaten something sour, clearly dissatisfied with the answer. Even though she felt this, Artemis didn't try to press her mother for an answer because if Leto couldn't tell her then there must've been a reason why.
"Don't be so worried. As long as he takes the proper precautions, it shouldn't happen anymore."
"Is that really true?" Her eyes were sparkling like a child's.
"Yes, but you must be patient."
"Patient of what?"
"You'll see."
Artemis didn't know what she was expecting. Of course, Leto wasn't going to tell her. "Mother, you can be so cryptic sometimes."
"Sorry dear. I would tell you but it really isn't my place to tell you," Leto's tone was apologetic.
"It's ok. I understand."
The titaness smiled, thanking her daughter. "Dear, you should go see him."
"Ah!" Artemis' expression changed as she remembered.
"Here, take this." Leto placed a vial into Artemis' hands.
"What's this?" It was a beautiful, expensive looking vial meticulously carved out of glass that was adorned small jewels. Inside, there was a clear liquid that she couldn't identify.
Giving her a smile, Leto said, "It's a gift. If you need any courage."
"???"
What was that supposed to mean.
Courage?
For what?
Artemis opened her mouth to ask, but Leto said something before she could say anything. "I'm expecting grandchildren soon."
"Wha- MOTHER!"
Laughing, Leto encouraged, "Go, go. He's waiting."
Artemis embarrassingly whined before she entered the room, closing the door carefully behind her.
"Are you sure to let her go like that?" A voice appeared beside Leto.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about."
"You just gave her an aphrodisiac," Hestia stated bluntly.
"I'm just lending my daughter a hand. Primordials know that the boy won't be the one to make the first move."
Affirmatively humming, Hestia agreed with the sentiment. "So, you want Artemis to," Hestia paused, not so subtly implying about that, "you know..."
"To have sex? Hestia, I'm not sure why you're so scared to say it."
Frowning, the goddess said, "I'm not."
"Mhm. Sure."
Changing the subject, Hestia said, "Leto, I was just concerned about the oath."
"The oath? You should know yourself the condition of the Lethe River. You could easily break your oath if you really wanted to."
Hestia went silent.
"Besides, he's a good one. You've seen it, yourself."
Tactly agreeing, the goddess of the hearth hummed.
"Are you only looking after Artemis because he asked?" Leto was referring to the big man himself.
"At first."
"Oh?" Leto sounded intrigued. "So, what is it?"
A loud moan interrupted their conversation.
"You think those two know that we could hear everything?"
"No."
"Probably should set up a barrier."
"You haven't?"
"..." Looking at the goddess of the hearth, she really did have a barrier up, not including her in the barrier, of course, otherwise Leto would've noticed long ago. It was strange how Leto didn't notice her setting it up, but it wasn't that important.
"But, are really fine with this?" Hestia said randomly.
"Fine with what?"
"At this rate, they're going to do it in the living room."
"Ah. Shoot." Leto really hadn't thought of it. There was a high likelihood that they were, and if they were she couldn't bring herself to ruin her daughter's good moment.
But, her living room?
There was no way.
She knew Artemis was more than sensible enough, not to do that. Plus, she only gave that to Artemis for a later time.
Why was she even considering this possibility?
It was definitely Hestia's fault.
Leto shot Hestia a glare, but it was shrugged off.
T-T
Carefully closing the door behind her, Artemis cautiously entered the room.
The moment the goddess turned her head to look for him, her hips were instantly holstered into a hug.
Although shocked for a moment, she gradually embraced it. "What's gotten into you?" Artemis asked softly.
"I. Nothing..."
It looked like Percy was about to say something, but he suddenly stopped himself.
Why did he stop himself?
Why couldn't he tell her?
Why couldn't anyone tell her anything?
Surely, there must be a reason why but-
Why was it her that had to kept in the dark?
She wanted to help him, wanted him to get over this small hill.
Because there was a lifetime ahead of them, and she wanted to make the best of it.
But, she can't do anything if no one wanted to tell her.
"Perseus..." She clenched the back of his shirt. "I want to help. It hurts me so much to see you suffer like this."
Her forehead was pressed against his chest, not allowing him to see her face, but he didn't need to look at her to see that she meant every word.
It sounded like she was on the verge of crying, which didn't match her persona. The Artemis he knew was also the strongest person he knew.
But this Artemis, she was so vulnerable, so precious.
He held her tighter and called her name. "Artemis. I understand."
Taking a deep breath to collect his thoughts, he said slowly, "I was never supposed to love. I was never supposed be here."
Artemis stayed silent, listening to his words. She didn't understand what he meant by his last sentence.
"I glimpsed a future, or was it the past? I don't know. But, I saw something. Something that I was never supposed to see. A reality where we where never meant to be lovers. A reality where I was just a demigod and you were just a goddess. Where we never met like this and I was just the son of a god. I was brought here by someone. Someone else besides you. And they wanted me to come to you specifically.
Percy pulled her face up to look at him. Their faces were so close she could feel their breath mingling with each other.
"Do you know why I'm saying this?" His green eyes peered deep into hers, seeking for her answer.
"No. No, I don't." Artemis repeated herself, so she could believe her own words. Because even though she said this, Artemis had a pretty good idea about the next words that were about to come out of his mouth. She just wanted to hear him say it by himself.
At that moment, she didn't know why she chose to play dumb.
It just the spur of the moment. She didn't have time to think about the ramifications before Percy spoke.
"It's because," Percy started, "I love you, Artemis." With a short and slow pull, Percy tilted his head slightly and brought them close for a short but sweet kiss, sent an electrifying feeling down her spine. It was more like a peck on the lips than anything, but out of all of the kisses they shared this was by far the best one by a long-shot.
Usually, Perseus wasn't the one to initiate things, so this was something completely new. Something triggered inside of her that turned her on.
Percy just wanted her to feel good.
There was no hint of embarrassment in his eyes like before.
There was only a mesmerizing look on her, and only her.
His eyes felt as deep as the ocean and knew no bounds. She could stare into them for years and not be bored.
He brought his face close again, and she closed her eyes to savor the moment.
Slowly but surely, his arms made their way upwards, feeling her body as he went along.
It didn't feel disgusting as she thought it would, maybe because it was Percy.
For some reason, everything felt better when Percy was around.
His tongue gently tapped her teeth like someone knocking on the door asking to be let in. Surprised, her eyes snapped opened to find him looking at her with eyes as still as a lake.
As if she was enchanted, Artemis separated her teeth enough to let him in.
His tongue barely touched hers, but it created such a strange sense of excitement.
Her knees buckled, but Percy supported her without much effort.
Artemis hadn't even noticed when his arms firmly stopped her from falling.
He caressed the back her teeth with his tongue then nibbled on her lower lip.
Perseus smiled as if he was teasing her.
Wow.
So that was adult kiss?
It felt so amazing that she was lost for words.
Artemis wanted more.
This time Artemis was the one to initiate.
Their tongue swirled together like the colors of a candy cane, creating sparks of pleasure in her mind.
He was slow and gentle, allowing her to adapt at her own pace, and honestly it was great.
But, it felt like she was the only one feeling good. She also wanted him to feel good. Artemis launched her own investigation of his mouth instead of only him making her feel good.
This relationship was not a one-way street.
Perseus tasted strangely sweet, a sharp contrast to salty ocean smell, and it was addicting to say the least.
Her hands roamed on his upper body, feeling everything it had to offer.
Perseus didn't take this time to rest and decided to lightly trace his fingers on her shoulders. It felt a bit ticklish, but it still felt pleasant.
He carried her and pressed her against the wall, firmly holding her up, not that Artemis was ever scared of falling when Percy was around.
Artemis felt him place his hand on her waist, extremely close to her butt.
It was his way of asking for permission, to which she responded by pushing upper chest against his. Her beasts pressed against him, signaling that it was alright.
Once he got permission, he gave a light squeeze, causing her to flinch in surprise.
So, that's how that feels.
It was ok. She didn't really like how that felt, but she could see how others could like it.
Thankfully, Artemis didn't have to say anything. It only took Percy a single touch to realize that she didn't like it. He quickly whispered a, "Sorry," before resuming with his kisses, pausing to suck on her upper lip for just a second.
He slowly began to increase the intensity sent wave after wave of pleasure throughout her body.
Suddenly, he stopped, creating some distance between them.
'Pah'
Their lips separated.
Ah.
My brain is definitely mush.
All the goddess could think about was kissing.
It was kiss, kiss, kiss and nothing else.
Kissing was definitely the best.
She only wanted to kiss him. Only he would do.
Was there something else that felt better?
Her hand unconsciously moved in the direction of her abdomen.
If-
Perseus refused to let her rest a for a second and he blew a stream of air on her collar. Then, he nippled on her ear, causing Artemis let out a rather loud moan, surprising even herself.
Despite being embarrassed, her gaze was unwavering and confident, but despite that Percy could still her blush through her hands. Her ears were dyed red and fluttered up and down.
Percy began planting soft kisses down her neck.
After the little make out session, her mouth felt extremely sensitive as if the entire thing was an erogenous zone, especially her lips. They felt irritated from lack of contact.
"Perseus."
She didn't say another word, but Percy could understand what she wanted to say by her eyes.
She said:
You.
Better.
Take.
Responsibility.
Although, it hadn't been long since he had arrived to this world, completely oblivious of those words. Now, he understood the weight that those words held.
By her tone, it was not a request, but rather it was a demand.
"Your wish is my command."
