I sighed.
If there was one thing that I really liked about him, and also annoyed me sometimes, it was his brutal honesty!
He could easily have said that yes, he regretted it, and I'd have liked that response!
But no!
He had to give an honest reply!
Well... That was a good thing?
If I was honest to myself, I was never going to find an honest man like him anywhere!
"I see." I said.
"I can't change my thought process from the past, but I promise I'll not be like that in future..." he said, "You can trust me there."
"Hmmm..." I said.
I... I trusted him.
I knew he'd never break his promise!
I just needed to try to get past the painful memories of the past... And if I could do that, we might make this work.
Yeah...
I needed to put in some effort... Because I wanted this to work, too!
"I have two invites for 'House of Dragon' premiere tomorrow... I planned to skip it... But now I'm thinking, it might be a good date? Do you want to join?" I asked.
