"Xander, why is it a good thing that Cordelia promised to kill you fast and make it stick if she ever decides to kill you?" Willow asked as they walked back to the Addams.

"Because it proves she loves me." Xander answered. "If she hated me she'd make my death as long and as painful as possible and if she really hated me, she'd resurrect me and do it all over again. Killing me fast and making sure I stay dead means she loves me and wants my death to be as painless as possible."

Buffy and Willow looked at each other. "It sort of makes sense." Buffy said tentatively. Fester opened the front door and ushered them in. Willow felt something brush against her hair but didn't think anything of it as they followed Fester down the hall to the living room where Gomez and Morticia were waiting for them and they patiently listened as Pugsley and Pubert excitedly told them about the game of tag with the vampire and the demons. Wednesday told them she'd agreed to teach Faith how to use a crossbow.

"It's so nice to see you making a new friend, Wednesday dear." Morticia smiled at her eldest child.

"And the Slayer at that." Gomez added. "I'm sure you'll have many rousing adventures."

Willow felt something shift in her hair and wondered if a leaf had fallen on her, it was fall after all. She reached up to brush it away and felt something, she wasn't sure what and than it moved. "Xander." She said in as controlled a voice as she could manage. "Is there something on my head?"

Xander looked over at Willow and than smiled. "Homer! How'd you get out of your cage?"

"Homer?" Willow whimpered.

"My pet tarantula." Wednesday informed her.

"Oh." Willow stood still as Wednesday held out her hand and Willow felt her hair shift again as it moved off of her head and crawled onto Wednesday's hand. Willow saw it as Wednesday drew back her hand, it looked huge. It was only Buffy's reflexes that kept Willow's head from hitting the floor.

"She never has liked spiders." Xander observed, as Buffy laid Willow on the couch. Grandmama bent over her, checking her.

"She'll be fine." Grandmama announced. "But such an extreme reaction to such a sweet creature as Homer." She clucked her tongue.

Buffy felt something tickling her ankle and glanced down and saw something wrapping around her ankle.

"Cleopatra." Morticia said. "We don't eat people, I gave you a steak earlier, plus she's a guest and a friend of our dear Xander. Please let her go." Whatever it was, it uncoiled from around Buffy's ankle and slithered back out of the room.

"What was that?" Buffy asked, wondering if it was something to slay,.

"Auntie Tish's pet African strangler." Xander answered. "You could call it a semi sentient flesh eating plant. A bigger version of a venus fly trap, except it doesn't eat flies, because it's a whole lot bigger."

Willow started to come to and Buffy helped her sit up. "Are you alright?" She asked her best friend.

"Was there really a giant spider on my head, Buffy?" Willow tried not to whimper again, at least it wasn't frogs. She stared as Gomez pulled a cigar out of his suit pocket and stuck it in his mouth and the end lit up. "Buffy, I think it's time for us to go, I'm feeling very tired."

"Right and we have school tomorrow." Buffy agreed, the whole night felt very surreal.

"I suppose so." Xander agreed. "Uncle Fester, we'll have to see about playing with your new toys the next time we come to visit. I'll tell you all about Cordy and me stealing a rocket launcher and using it to destroy a supposedly unkillable demon. You don't have to kill it if it's in 10,000 pieces and than those pieces are scattered around the world."

"I have a new train set as well, Xander." Gomez informed him. "We can have fun with it. Unfortunately, we do need to head back home after Halloween, but that still leaves us time for a good visit."

"Looking forward to it, Uncle Gomez." Xander assured him.

"Morticia, perhaps we could talk." Cordelia suggested. "I could use some advice. Xander and I don't need any help with the passion in our relationship but I know at some point that keeping the flame alive is something every relationship faces and Xander says you and Gomez are still very much in love and still very passionate as well. And how have you managed to stay so young looking?"

"Oh my dear, I would be happy to share my secrets with you, we'll talk soon." Morticia said, delighted to have a protege. "And you are correct, the flame of Amour must be fed or it will die."

"Tish! That's French!" Gomez practically levitated to her side and grabbing her hand, began to kiss his way up it. "Say something else, pie ala mode, Eiffel Tower."

"You go girl!" Faith cheered. "Now that's a well trained man."

"Definitely time to go." Buffy decided, backing up, Willow beside her, both of them feeling very uncomfortable. Everyone else, including the children, was unfazed. Xander nodded.

"We'll be back tomorrow everyone. Looking forward to Halloween, especially with you guys here."

He, Cordelia and Faith followed sedately as Buffy and Willow practically ran out of the house.
