A/N Just a few things before we continue. The Talents of the Addams Family referred to in this fic are drawn from the various sources where the Addams have appeared. Morticia is described as a witch who's is familiar with hexes and curses, but wishes she'd studied them formally in college, her Talent is smoking, literally she can make smoke and she's a medium, meaning she channels spirits. This list is taken from the tv show, the Addams family, the tv show Wednesday adds psychic visions which began to manifest when she was 15. Wednesday is a witch and begins manifesting visions between age 14 and 15, she's 14 in this fix and hasn't begun manifesting them yet. I'm unsure what sort of Talent to assign to her, being fond of sharp objects and very good wth a crossbow are hobbies, not Talents. Pugsley, aside from an avid interest in making things blow up, never seems to display any sort of Talent, although it is stated that he likes to hang from things by his teeth. However it is hinted on the Wednesday show that that's just because he's too young yet and will eventually have his own ability. Gomez' Talent is seen in the Scooby Doo cartoons, he can walk on walls and ceilings, maybe by shifting his center of gravity and can do a little Magic, as he lights his cigars without a match, he's also very good at both losing and making money and is a lawyer. He attended Nevermore Academy himself and has a psychic ability as well, according to the Wednesday show. On the tv show Farscape there's an alien race that can shift their center of gravity, Gomez isn't an alien, but it doesn't mean I can't label his Talent that way. Fester has his electricity Talent and a fondness for blowing things up. Grandmama likes battle axes, making potions, is a seer and due to old age has problems controlling Magic. All of the Addams are immune to fire, poison, blunt force trauma and electrocution according to their wiki page.
Xander's Talents and abilities simply stem from what's seen and stated on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he's described more than once as a demon magnet, he almost never gets injured even from blunt force trauma, an ability that seems to grow as he ages. It takes a vampire to break his wrist, Spike and Angel, Master vampires, to knock him unconscious, something regular vamps can't do. And the best a Troll God can do is break his wrist and than there's what Willow does to him on Kingman's Bluff. Each is an escalation of force that he survives. And Joss is on record as stating the military knowledge was supposed to have a larger role in the show but nowhere have I found him stating an explanation for how Xander retained that knowledge. He probably would have at some point if rabid fans hadn't decided that Xander opting not to tell Buffy about Willow trying the curse again was because of jealousy and being so pissed about it. Even with him stating it had nothing to do with jealousy, many refuse to believe it. So let's go to Wednesday and Morticia's ability for an explanation. They get visions by touching things and their abilities began to manifest between age 14 and 15. Xander was sixteen that Halloween and is seventeen in this fic since in all my fics his birthday is in December. They're Seniors now and this isn't going to be a long fic, but a couple of reviewers did ask about Angel/Angelus. Currently it's mid October and the Addams are planning to depart just after Halloween and Angel returns in-between on the tv show. Assume Kakistos is dealt with off screen the way same as in canon, but with one difference. ;)

"Hey, Wednesday." Faith said to the younger girl. "I wanted to thank you for helping out with Kakistos. You're wicked good with that crossbow and taking out his minions while B and I dealt with him helped out a lot."
"You should have told us he was chasing you. We could have been better prepared. But I can understand wanting to dispatch him yourself. I would wish to dispose of an enemy myself as well. Not that my family would not be standing beside me wishing to also destroy an enemy. Even when we feud among ourselves, to threaten one Addams is to invite the wrathe of all."

"Family is everything. Xander is family and Cordelia will be family once they marry. Xander considers Willow family, so I suppose we must as well."
"You don't like her."
"She was afraid of Homer, she doesn't remember our last visit because she was afraid then too. And we only stayed a day and were unaware of the Hellmouth at that time. We plan to be here for a couple of weeks this time and will return for vacations in the future. Is she going to continue being afraid of us when we've done nothing to harm her and for Xander's sake will attempt to refrain from doing anything to her?"
"Unless she does something to piss you off big time, huh? Just being afraid of you for no reason is annoying and a little offensive, but possibly something she could grow out of."
"Annoying, yes, but you're right, not more than that at this time. But I don't like her and perhaps she will do something that means I can hex her. Won't that be fun?"
