To many people. A crowd of females. Inuyasha, Kikyo, Miroku, Sango, and then last but not least, Kouga came flying in. Sesshomaru snatched the wolf back the back of the neck before he could touch Kagome.

"What the hell!" Kouga yelled.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome gasped.

He ignored her and looked at the wolf. "You know something,"

"What are you talking about let me go!"

"Where were you, wolf?" Sesshomaru asked,

Kouga crossed his arms, feet dangling off the ground. "I dont know what you're talking about,"

"Then why are you here?" Sesshomaru asked,

Kouga glided his eyes to Inuyasha. "He said Kagome was in danger and that it had to do with you!"

"The Miko is in no danger,"

Kouga looked at her. "Is it true?"

"Is what true," Kagome asked,

Sesshomaru put him back on his feet. Kouga looked away, ears down.

"You can see that mark from here, idiot," Inuyasha snapped,

"This is your fault, dog breath!" Kouga balled his fist in the air,

"I thought she would be ok!" Inuyasha said, yet again.

"Why did seek to bring the wolf here?" Sesshomaru asked, not like Kouga could do a damn thing.

"Oh I duno, I just find it a bit concerning that you mated Kagome! You probably after the jewel's power!" Inuyasha stated harshly.

"I do not seek her power,"

"Yet, you have her," Kouga stated

Sesshomaru smirked. "I do not need the girl to kill all of you,"

"Is that a threat?" Inuyasha asked,

"You asked, I simply answered, wolf be gone, or do you seek to challenge me?"

Kagome stepped in, throwing her arms wide. "Kouga dont,"

"You wanna stay mated to him!"

"Look, I know you are strong, but," She eyed Sesshomaru, who stood behind her now, "You aren't that strong,"

Kougas mouth hung open, insulted.

"Im just trying to protect you because I care about you," She said softly.

Kouga shut his mouth.

Inuyasha threw his hands up and walked off.

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at his brother's back and then looked at the wolf. "If you want to be angry, be angry at the half-breed; I saved her, whereas he caused her death,"

Kouga looked at Kagome and then back at Sesshomaru. "Find out," Was all he said.

Kouga nodded and swiftly took his leave. He would find out just what happened and why.

Sesshomaru ignored the rest of the people and walked off, but when his mate did not follow, he turned back around, grabbed her arm, and dragged her away.

Sango and Miroku just shrugged their shoulders.

"Why did you do that?" Kagome asked

"You did not follow,"

"Not that," She said, tugging her arm away from him,

"You will need to be more specific,"

"Send Kouga after Inuyasha,"

"The wolf will find,"

"They are just going to fight,"

"I do not care,"

"How long are you going to punish Inuyasha for?"

"I hardly call sending the wolf after him punishment, but the real question is why you aren't,"

Kagome sighed,

"Besides, the alternative was worse,"

Her eyes shot up. "Alternative?"

"I had not decided, tongue or arm? Both would have been fitting,"

Kagome paled because she knew he would have done it.

"Do you forget so easily who it is I am?"

Her eyes darted away; actually, since this all started, her view of him changed slightly.

"Why do you care for his well-being when he clearly did not care for yours,"

"Still my friend," She pointed to herself,

"You are naive human,"

"Back to calling me human, I see,"

"Woman!" Someone yelled.

Kagome sighed and turned.

"How dare you leave during challenge!" The woman points at her.

"I didn't leave; I was snatched into the sky, remember," She pointed at Sesshomaru. "By that, you know the bad guy,"

Sesshomaru crossed his arms, slightly amused.

The woman growled, "You trickster!"

"Oh yes, I almost killed myself in the dire hopes Lord Darkness over here would save me by making me his mate," She said flatly.

"Enough, you worthless-

"Hey," Kagome snapped, "I have had a super long last few days; stop yelling at me for something I had no control over!" Her power started to crackle, and Sesshomaru uncrossed his arms,

"I am tired, hungry, confused, and quite frankly annoyed with you; if you want a fight, I will give you one, but it will be short,"

The demoness stepped back,

"Regardless, if either of us likes it, he is my mate, and I have no intentions of dying, so between you and me, it will be you, and it ain't got nothing to do with him,"

For good measure, she lit up her hands with power.

The demoness looked away and crossed her arms.

"Finish it, woman," Sesshomaru said; people were gathering again.

Kagome's hands stopped glowing. "You may start it, but I will finish it," Kagome put her chin up and then made the mistake of turning her back on the crowd.
