Chapter 3:Royal Knights and Demon Lords

Takato reappeared in a different area all together and opened a door to a computer shop. He then went inside and opened to a whole different room all together. There was a large table and as he sat down, holograms started to form all around the table numbering thirteen screens. "I feel like I was going to pay for using a data teleportation in front of them.

"What is this place!?"

"It's a headquarters here in Shinjuku made by previous Royal Knight members. Now Calumon doesn't break anything and just plays with Guilmon."

"Ok!" They went off to play and let Guilmon calm down. He wanted his Guilmon or Blackguilmon to be better.

He went over to a screen and sat down in the chair with a hazard symbol. He then pressed the digivice as the hologram screens opened. "Sir Takato! Welcome back!" Takato saw multiple Digimon, PawnChessmon all around him on consoles as well as grabbing his katana and some were even grabbing hammers to make sure the data sword was not going to lose its durability and sharpness. Each weapon of the Royal Knights only affects Digimon and can injure a human like a blunted Kendo stick or metal pole that looks sharp but only if the human had merged with a Digimon and had became data itself.

The Royal Knights also had a Knighted blade similar to the blade Excalibur(Sword Art Online version of Excalibur (Look it up if you don't know))The Holy Swords Excalibur is a majestic longswords that is almost entirely gold in thirteen color, including the handle. The crossguard is shaped like a small set of wings and has a small, triangle-like plate with three green gems on it. Each Royal Knight was chosen by these Thirteen swords of different color as well as gifted by King Drasil of the Digital World that represent their status as Royal Knights. These blades change form however the user wanted.

Digimon World-

-Dark Palace-

"You called us here again to say our force failed to go for the Gates. There's multiple points to target the humans main computers to connect us to attack multiple firewalls and the more negative emotions that the humans have, the stronger the Master will be…"

"We Serve to Liberate the master from the Seal. It requires that we get negative emotions of humans and then turn it into data and as we corrupt them with viruses they can't stop then we can have the master rule them with our armies!" A shadow said with a smirk.

"Hmph you know that the Royal Knights won't let us off that easily…"

"Nonetheless they are spread everywhere and we only lost a couple cities to their Knightmon armies!" Another shadow said.

"Baka that's bad for us because then Master won't be able to return and now that they have one of the Four Dragons on their side under their control instead of our control, they're more powerful." The fourth shadow said while a larger shadow sat on a throne.

-Shinjuku-

"We need to find him!"

"Rika…"

"He could be hurt or something or doing something else dangerous!" Henry or Lee Wong knew a lot of things but he knew that he was scared to smile at the Redhead currently running around as soon as A certain gogglehead disappeared as if he was deliberately deleted. She was now frantically searching for the gogglehead as he seemed to know more than they did on what was going on.

"Rika! Can you calm down for a moment?!" She turned to the blue colored hair teen and saw that he was crossing his arms. "You know that he's been gone for two years and we don't know that much about him and even if you find him? Do we want to get in the way of something much bigger than we faced before?"

"That's…not the point! He left and he's going to pay for those comments…" Lee chuckled at that but also then nodded. "Look I understand that Rika but we can't be irrational, we need to assess the situation."

"Fine but, when I have my hands on him…he's going to pay…"

-The next Day-Shinjuku-

It was another day in which the Tamers all went to school and their digimon went off to different areas. Takato had returned home and greeted his parents before heading off to school. The Tamer in the leather jacket over his school uniform with the kendo bag as well as his backpack was on a small motorcycle that made several girls turn to him in awe and glee as he walked his bike to a parking spot and began pulling off his helmet.

He yawned as walked inside and then waited. He took off his jacket and folded it, placing it inside his kendo bag which had his katana. The katana was unique, called Shunsui. Shusui is a Hira Zukuri katana with a black blade. Shusui has a solid hilt with a samegawa wrapped around it. The kashira is identical to the kojiri found at the end of the sheath. The crossguard is in the shape of a flower, with the sides being dark gold but the edge is normal gold. There are two half-circle holes on each side of the blade. A saw hamon pattern adorns the sides of this blade in a shining dark magenta while the hamon of the blade is colored purple, though it is equally as dark as the black bo-hi. Shusui has a traditional sheath, but a pattern of circles in their thirds can be found stretching across it.

It was a katana that was his size but can harness the power of Chaos and Hazard. It was part of the Thirteen Swords of the Royal Knights that His Excalibur blade can transform into which he preferred was a katana or his other Black Blade. The Elucidator which is a pitch black sword with trims of gray. It has a black hilt connected to a hand guard that drops down on the right side. Attached to this elongated area of the hand-guard is part of Elucidator's blade, so as to better aid the user in retaining their grip on the sword when it is being used. The blade is completely black like the rest of the sword and the said blade is outlined in a light gray.In the design, a small cross is emblazoned on the flat of the blade, just beneath the tip.

His data was corrupted and his sword was corrupted into a cursed sword. He never used his second blade which he stole from a Digimon weapon smith who tried to control the hazard in curiosity. Takato never used his second blade unless he needed too or whenever he felt like it. He walked into the classroom and then the teacher went to the front. The teacher Ms. Asagi was sighing as she turned to the class.

"Ok class time for countdown"

-Middle of Shinjuku-

"It's a wonderful day in Shinjuku, this is Iwamoto Rei of channel 3 news. We are delighted to say it's a great day and—"

A large fog cloud started to appear that was pure black and then thousands of Devimon and Devidramon started to appear but they were targeting multiple banks. "Charge!"

-back at Shinjuku Junior High school-

"10…" Takato said with the rest of the class as they counted down.

"9.."

"8.."

"7.."

"6…"

'I hope they didn't do this with me…'

"5…"

It was at that moment the tamers came in. *Some things never change but not it's me that has changed but also for the better.*

-Hours later-

Whenever Jeri tried to talk to Takato she was ignored. All she could hear was to leave him alone and she even felt like there was a shield around him. He disappeared after Lunch.

However, he wasn't going to escape that easily. "GOGGLEHEAD!!! Wait!"

He turned around and smiled. "Hi Rika, sorry about the comments yesterday, I didn't mean them…however I don't have time for this…I'm needed elsewhere. There's a Digimon Attack in another area.

-Nagasaki-

Thousands of Devimon were behind a Digimon called Reapermon. Reapermon is designed as a robotic grim reaper with a scythe for the left hand and wields a gun on its right hand. The Metal Grim reaper was in front guarding their target. Multiple power stations that housed major systems separately to a state bank. They wanted to collect all the negative energy. If banks started to be destroyed and the data taken then humans would be in a panic.

"You finally show up…"

"Oh? Human..you're not an ordinary human though.." The boy nodded and stretched and

A Hagurumon was next to him ready to fight. "Alright Hagurumon let's do this…"

He pulled out his double sided blade from his digivice on his arm as the armor started to cover him. The armor covered him fully and nodded.

"Oh? Then let's get this started. He raised his digivice and charged as the reapermon growled at the other young knight.

Police officers with members of the Tokushu Butai started to rush to the scene and started to file out of armored vehicles. A boy in an armored suit with a double sided blade was going through multiple Devimon as they tried to claw him. "Get out of here!"

He then twirled his double blade moving fast in front of the adults in the police uniforms and was taking a breath as he sent an emerge from his blade as a power energy wave.

Devimon and Devidramon then were deleted as the boy panted. "Who're you?!"

"Someone who can actually hurt the monsters now get out of here…"

"I'm sorry young man but we aren't leaving this is a dangerous situation! We don't know these monsters but they are a threat to the community and people of our prefecture! We need you to leave now…" The commander said sternly while the boy scoffed as he tried to dodge the two swat members trying to grab him to leave as well as disarm him. "Don't even think of it, I'm the best chance for the prefecture and I need to protect the banks…"

"Baka! You're talking to police officers! Be polite!" The Police sergeant saw a girl with a pink armor and a rapier in her hand as her visor covered who she was with a Kotemon. "Shut it! They are thinking Physical bullets can hurt Digimon!"

"Incoming!"

Both teens turned and each stabbed their weapons into the ground as shields of their energy appeared.

"So King Drasil sent two to protect some money…" The male to the right sighed. "You're trying hard to piss me off…"

"It's working it seems…"

"Shut it you…"

"You're making it too easy, why don't you return to pre-school for your fights…?"

The Dark Digimon bounty Hunter type then proceeds to laugh making the two teens have irk marks then using their energies that explode in a shockwave as the Swat officers sweat drop. *that was fast, they already stopped fighting.*

The teens before the adults could react both moved at fast speeds and slashed their blades but the Reapermon raised his scythe just in time to deflect it but it sent the robotic reaper flying.

"Go back to the Dark Area where you came from, stay away from our world…"

The robotic reaper then raised its barrel as it sent multiple energy shots which had been deflected as the girl had slashed multiple times as the blade extended connected by data energy strings.

The boy shook his head. "Show off…Hagurumon! Get the others with Kotemon!"

The two teenagers then began to attack as their Digimon then joined the fray digivolving to HiAndromon and Knightmon with the symbol of a rose on his cape.

-Shinjuku-

A Dark Alley showed a Digimon who had a knife as Ryo Akiyama was passing by to head to Shinjuku Junior High only to have a beam hit him and dark energy covered his eyes for a moment.

Takato had walked away from the school but Ryo was standing right there at the gate as Takato got on his motorbike. "What is it you want,Akiyama?"

"Takato what is going on? What form did you have before and what are the Royal Knights doing in Shinjuku?" Ryo heard of the Royal Knights in the digital world on how they were the first humans that came to the digital world and King Drasil made a legacy of them as throughout generations since the Digital world was Created, multiple groups of Digimon and their Tamers all each took the form of a Royal Knight then would choose a successor when Digital World and the Human World aligned by Winter solstice should they choose to go back to their normal lives and grow.

"Why not? Justimon is more than able to also become a Royal Knight! You caught us off guard yesterday!"

Takato shook his head. "No not with your attitude, I have no reasons to tell you anything and you're in my way…"

He then put in his helmet which also had a Hazard symbol on it. "You're not worthy of becoming a Royal knight." Ryo didn't budge and looked at him. Ever since the time he was saved by a member of the royal knights as well as trained by a royal knight in the digital world, he was dreaming of becoming a member and devoted himself to training CyberDramon to be the best.

"I challenge you…—"

"Denied…I have somewhere to be and I need you to stop being selfish because maybe I'm going to deal with another attack so…Move!" He then proceeded to ignite his engine and rode away while Rika and Henry walked towards Ryo. "Why are you here? Mr. Perfect…there's no digital field anywhere here!" Ryo clenched his fist and smiled. "No, I came to see you!"

"I don't ever want to see you…" She then looked at him inquisitively. "Why did you stop Takato right now?"

"Nothing really, he doesn't want to slow us down…"

Henry was about to protest when Rika already docked Ryo in the face. "How dare you? Your not that low, Mr. Perfect…you know for sure that he outshined us yesterday and now we are actually behind him in more ways than one and I know he can beat all of us easily…"

"Impossible before because I know he was trained by a Royal Knight…now and he knows that I am still better…" He then walked away.

Rika huffed before she stopped him. "What are the Royal Knights?!"

"Stop talking to Ryo like that!"

"Shut up Kazu!"

"I won't but I do want to be friends with Chumley again…"

"That won't happen with you or Kenta and I'm sorry to say that won't happen with you either Jeri…" The Tamers were all in a circle facing each other before Ryo sighed as it's best he set aside his challenge against Takato for now. "Who are the Royal Knights Ryo? You seem to know who they are? Takato is a part of them now…"

"You figured that out but, yes he's a part of them now. It's a group of Teenagers chosen by the King of the Digital world..the Sovereign might be leaders of the Digital world but they are the guardians. Long ago, King Drasil defeated an ancient Evil and became Dormant because he lost his form. After the Dark Masters were defeated, the digital world was reformatted to become something of a reborn world. This meant that the dark areas was also reformatted and changed but that also included the Seals and that is why the Royal Knights were created. They helped seal those areas and they helped me when I needed them in the digital world. They helped me find Biyomon when he was fighting a member of the Dark Master. They also trained me while you were trying to find Calumon. When Calumon was taken by the Dark Devas so that the Dark Masters could digivolve further than the Sovereigns. They wanted to revive their Masters, the Seven Demon Lords. That is all I was allowed to know." Ryo explained looking at the solemn looks and scared looks as well.

"Why didn't you tell us any of this?!"

"You nevertheless weren't supposed to know about the Royal Knights since I thought the Seals on Millenniummon as the Royal Knight Explained were powerful but the Dark Masters changed that. Their creator had also changed that as well. Millenniummon was able to cripple King Drasil to an extent. I want to be a member of the Royal Knight because it's chosen by King Drasil." Ryo said affirmatively

"Your Ryo, of course, you should be a member of such a cool group!" Kazu exclaimed with Kenta agreeing while Rika rolled her eyes. "Takato is the member now and not you, Mr.perfect…why would he choose someone like you…" She then walks away.

-The following week-

Attacks by the Nightmare Army continued and they all targeted the Banks all over Japan and overseas as the Royal Knights foiled them. Ryo was still persistent and it annoyed Takato as he was investigating some places that were hit like foreign exchange currency shops and also places of interest like power plants.

"I won't fight you to satisfy your desire to become a Royal Knight because King Drasil chose me for a reason and that won't be changing anytime soon."

"I want to prove myself…"

Takato was about to reply when Ryo threw a jab at him and then a kick which was blocked each time. "If beating me was a way for you to be a member then I wouldn't hold your breath because that doesn't work like that, Baka…King King Drasil and the Golden D-Arcs and Royal Swords choose their wielder. Gallantmon was my first bio merge form but it's not anymore so leave me alone…—"

"Bio-merge Activate!

Monodramon…Bio-merge to…—"

Takato then saw Justimon emerge as Ryo was not going to back off. "I won't give you a choice…—"

Takato sighed and raised his Golden D Arc and sighed. "Knight Bio-merge Activate!"

Guilmon Knight Bio-merge to…—

…—ChaosGallantmon!"

A Black Knight appeared but crossed his arms as there was no shield or lance.

Justimon had his Accel arm of his Trinity arsenal equipped. "Why don't you have your weapons, Takato…"

"I don't want this fight to begin with Ryo…why are you fighting me…?" This wasn't like Ryo and he's been getting looks from Ryo all week whenever Takato showed up with BlackGuilmon to fight and take out several Devimon and it wasn't like the Tamers couldn't get better, which they have for the past week.

"I need to prove myself and I will do it!" It was almost like something was controlling Ryo.
