Fuck it, we post at 3am. Happy Pride month!

I can't tell you how many stories, both fanfic and original works, I've tried to write since my last update here. I'm kind of mad at myself for coming back to this. Something about coming back to something already "successful" rather than failing again. I hate that that has happened to this fic, something that was just supposed to be silly and unserious. I don't know. I feel like a failure but whatever. With any luck, I have lots of time to improve.

In other news, I've been missing my voice for almost a week! I miss being able to sing my little songs or even just saying hi to people. Let me tell you, trying to deal with health issues and schedule appointments over the phone when you can't speak above a whisper is no walk in the park.

I should put it out there that I don't remember my own lore, so if this chapter is inconsistent with others… well. Sorry. Let me know and I'll try to fix it!

Sorry for being so self-pitying in the notes. It's not like I can talk to anyone else right now, so. Here's a chapter to lighten the mood!

Summer break was, in Aizawa's humble opinion, the best time of the year. No brats around, no papers to be graded, and he could finally sleep in. With his teaching job effectively non-existent, both his and Present Mic's - or Hizashi, now that they were free from work - schedules were cleared, meaning they had more time to spend time together.

With Izuku, of course. Gotta take advantage of the weather while it's nice, right? Haha…

Despite knowing Hizashi since their own days at UA and basically being married already, the whole dating thing was still pretty new. Aizawa knew that he was very close to just asking the idiot out before he suddenly landed himself with a baby, and, well, Izuku took priority, obviously. Hizashi was surprisingly helpful during those first few months. Being good with kids was a staple of being a daylight hero, he supposed.

Still, Aizawa felt a little strange bringing his son on his date, but he couldn't deny the warmth in his heart, watching Hizashi interact with Izuku.

The three of them were walking to a park far beyond the gates of UA, Izuku riding on Hizashi's shoulders while the adults walked side by side. Izuku chattered away at Yamada about shaved ice flavors.

"I like blue-bury a lot! It turn-ded my tongue colors!" Izuku said.

"Oh?" Hizashi hummed. "What color? Red?"

"No!"

"Green, then."

"No!" Izuku laughed. "Blue! Blue!"

"Ah, blue," Yamada nodded sagely. "Blueberries making the color blue. How did I not see it before? Shouta, have you heard about this?"

"Of course I have," Aizawa replied. "It's in the name: 'blue'-berries."

"Gah!" Hizashi stumbled, his movements exaggerated. Izuku twisted his hands in Hizashi's long locks and giggled hysterically as he was thrown around. Hizashi shook his head mournfully. "Belittled by my own partner. How will I ever survive?"

Aizawa chuckled, then reached out a hand to grab Hizashi's. Hizashi accepted it easily enough, giving him a gentle squeeze that sent tingles up his back. Izuku asked something, and Hizashi was quick to respond. Aizawa tuned them out, tipping his head back and soaking in the steady warmth of the sun on his pale face. Their joined hands swung between the pair as they walked.

"Otou-san?" Izuku's voice broke through the peace. "What is that?"

Aizawa blinked and looked around. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary; it was just a neighborhood street. An elderly man was watering his flowers a few houses down, and a teenage couple were cuddling on a porch, watching a pair of birds in a tree.

"What's what, sprout?" Aizawa asked.

Izuku pointed. Aizawa followed his finger to see the young couple. "Their lips were touching, like you and Yama-san."

"Oh. They were just kissing, sprout. That's what people who love each other very much do," Aizawa said.

"But…" Izuku frowned. He looked like he was having a hard time finding the words. "That's a girl."

"Yes?" Aizawa glanced at Hizashi, one brow raised. Hizashi just shrugged.

"And that's a boy!" Izuku said. There was an obvious conclusion in his tone, but Aizawa couldn't for the life of him understand.

"Girls and boys are allowed to kiss," Aizawa told him, still confused.

Izuku's jaw dropped, eyes wide like Aizawa had just told him the secrets of the universe. "They can do that?!"

"Of course," Aizawa responded quizzically. "Why wouldn't they?"

"Oh!" Hizashi clapped a hand over his mouth, muffling a harsh snort.

Aizawa fixed him with a look. "Care to enlighten the class?"

"Sorry," Hizashi chuckled. "It's just that, he's probably only ever seen you and I kiss. Two guys…"

Oh. "I see." Aizawa gazed up at Izuku, who was staring at the couple in wonder. "Izuku."

Izuku looked down.

"People can love whoever they want," Aizawa said. "Boys can like boys, girls can like girls. But boys and girls can also like each other. Love is for everyone, okay?"

"Okay!" Izuku chirped. "Yama-san, can we get strawbaby ice?"

"Strawberry is an excellent choice, baby sprout," Hizashi grinned. "I think that one will turn your tongue red!"

"My tongue is already red!"

"More red, then!"

Poor Aizawa is just hanging on by a thread in this one XD

I wanted to do something for Pride, but like, Izuku's a baby. So. The conservatives are always like "how will I ever explain this to my children?" so I thought it might be funny for Mic and Aizawa to have to explain heterosexuality to Izuku. I hope the joke lands lol

Anyway! If you liked this, please leave a kudos! If you have suggestions or just want to say hi, leave a comment ^-^ If you would like to join the discord server (which, by the way, has lore? And there's a very unserious civil war brewing between the Arsonists and the Fire Brigade, so. You can watch the chaos with me or join in. We have a lot of fun there. I love everyone there with my whole heart 3) then here is the link: /MRKznGc This one shouldn't expire, but let me know if it doesn't work for some reason.

I appreciate you all! ~Black
