The summer vacation was now divided, one week was reserved for sunny Florida. One thing they never got to do, was to spend Easter in England. The children didn't have any holidays. It's a shame...but one day.
Boston 2020
COVID-19 visited this area too and messed up a lot of things. Padmé was worried about Anakin because as a doctor, he was in daily contact with patients. Everyone was vaccinated and fortunately no one got sick.
Boston 2021
Padmé, Anakin as well as Sabé celebrated their fortieth birthdays. Logically, there were three great partys.
The next year 2022 also passed…daily tasks, work, school, family and in love for each other.
Boston 2023
The first disagreements between Padmé and Anakin arose shortly before the twins had completed sixth grade at Park Street School. They had to decide on a secondary school and register the children. Anakin was always of the opinion that the twins, like Philip later, should complete middle school at the German International School/Boston. This is a bilingual school, so it's good for the children if they can speak another language well.
Like the average private school, the year cost $35,000, but Padmé wasn't concerned about the money. She wanted a say, she was the mother. Anakin thought to send the children to this school and as a high school, it will be British International School of Boston.
"You can't decide everything on your own. I disagree. Firstly; why should the children go to this German school for two years and then transfer again? They need something constant, they will make friends and then have to leave and besides, they don't necessarily need German as a language...or you have already decided they should study in Heidelberg?"
"Why are you so poisonous?"
"You decided without speaking to me."
"I haven't decided anything, I've just presented you with my arguments."
"If so, why do the twins speak, they will go to the German school to learn German language?"
"I just asked them if they were interested."
"What do they already know…"
"Padmé...they're twelve years old, they already know whether they want something or not."
"You mean…really?...and then the high school. It has to be the British International School of Boston, of all places. It promotes even greater connection with Great Britain. Didn't you say you are afraid Luke would want to live there? We live safely here in America, we don't need to support the glorification of the country we actually fear."
"You're overreacting, Padmé."
And so the argument and counter-argument went on for days.
They didn't have sex these days either. He didn't want to initiate it, he didn't want her to think he was trying to persuade her, and it was the other way around too. They haven't had any disagreements in all these years, or not serious ones, but this time it was about the future of their children. Both wanted the best for them, both thought they had the better solution.
One evening, Anakin was lying on his left side, his back to Padmé. She turned left and right, wondering for the hundredth time whether she was right or not, but the British International School of Boston was definitely the best, she knew that. She placed her hand on his hip and slowly moved it to his groin. He didn't say anything, but in her hand grew his need and desire for her love.
"We need to come to an agreement, Padmé, we're running out of time."
"Then the children will go right away to the British school…and now come here, I need your British style."
"Very good, My Lady."
And so they agreed to send the children to the British International School of Boston until high school graduation.
The only downside was that the school was six miles away. Jobal had to drive the children to school.

*I thought I was stubborn, but so is he...or does that come with age? I don't know. I had to use all my powers of persuasion and still didn't achieve what I wanted.*

Their conversation always went something like this, like ten years ago, like twenty years ago, or thirty.
Even though Padmé and Anakin had differences of opinion, they remained careful observers of their children's development. Barely noticeable and in a slow process, which did not go unnoticed by his parents, the cheerful and always in a good mood, Philip developed into a quiet, almost withdrawn boy. The parents knew it was puberty and every child is different. It wasn't that he hid in his room and didn't want to talk to anyone, no, he became more oriented after his father. Whenever he needed an explanation for something, he asked Anakin, he wanted to do homework with Anakin, or he expressed a desire to see a Bruins game at TD Garden with him, and the like.
Anakin will follow all his physical changes during his puberty years with advice and action, well, he was a doctor.
Philip will start high school in 2026. From then on, the conversations with his father become more and more serious and a tendency in one direction becomes evident. He will become increasingly interested in the subject of medicine, reading about it and asking Anakin about. The parents will recognize in which direction this will lead. Shortly before he finishes third grade of high school, he will tell his parents that he wants to study medicine.
"Not only you look like your father, you want to be like him...my little Anakin."
"Yes Mom, I love you…...and you Dad, you are a lucky man, you have a beautiful wife."
"That's true, but I'm surprised you see your mother as a woman."
"Well, I'm seventeen years old, and I already know how to distinguish between a beautiful woman and a less beautiful woman."
"Speaking of women, do you have a girlfriend?"
"No Dad, there's no time for that, but there are opportunities."
"Uh...sorry guys, I have to make dinner, see you later." She won't want to discuss sex with her son.
Yes, that's it, Anakin will think, he will have already had his sexual experiences.
It won't be a miracle. Luke will be a lot like his father, but Philip even more so. As boys, both will do something for their bodies and will look good.
In high school 2025-2029, Luke and Leia will discover their affinities.
Leia has always been able to tell stories and express herself well, and will become more and more interested in politics and law. She will decide to follow in her mother's footsteps, and Padmé will be overjoyed, especially since she will choose Harvard.
In his fourth year of high school, Luke will decide to study veterinary medicine. His parents won't object to that, but they will object to his choice of university. Wanting to study in London will drive Padmé and Anakin to panic.
"This course was set when he entered the British International School of Boston. I saw that coming."
"…and your love of the cottage and wanting to spend our vacation there every year, Padmé."
"It's no use blaming each other, his decision has been made. He has the grandparents' money, he is of legal age, and he will take this money whether we approve of it or not. We can only pray that he survives."
"To see things so black...I wouldn't go that far. So much time has passed since... that... and... we've been to England so many times and nothing has happened."
"It's not the same when you vacation there or when you live there."
"I know."
"Anakin, I don't want him to go." Your eyes will be full of tears.
"Neither do I, my Angel, but despite our concerns, he will go. Come, let me comfort you, like I always do."
They will make love with each other, but the pain will remain.
In the summer of 2029, Luke will say a tearful goodbye to his family, wondering whether his grandparents will still be alive when he returns, in which year they will be eighty.
His grandfather Cliegg will be impatiently waiting for him in London and will be happy to be able to spend his old age with him.
His student life in London will be socially exciting, but he won't let his studies get left behind because of it. He will come to Boston less and less, but his parents and siblings will fly to England more often. The cottage and the stud farm will be the favorite places where they can spend their short time together.
Cliegg will see his grandson Luke graduate, but he won't see Luke as .
Owen will keep the house in Kensington, but not the stud farm. Luke will still have money left over that he got from his grandparents for education, so he will use it to purchase the stud farm.
He will maintain a close friendship with his father's acquaintance Lady Mary, who will introduce him to some daughters of high nobility. After earning his doctorate, Luke will marry the Lady of his heart, a certain Elisabeth Mary Maxwell Baroness de Ros. Although Anakin always claimed it wasn't important, he will be happy with his son's choice. Luke will later have two sons. One day, he will be Lord Luke Anakin Skywalker Baron Skawalker of Hoth and pass his title to the next generation.
The only thing that will keep running through Anakin's mind will be Luke's close friendship with Lady Mary. He will not be able to imagine that his son as young student, could have a romantic relationship with a woman so much older. But he will remember his younger days and consider the possibility. If Padmé knew about his suspicions, no-no...he will always have known how she would fight like a lioness for him, but now she would set the entire galaxy on fire for her son. That's why he won't share his thoughts on this with his wife.
Immediately after completing her studies, Leia will marry Han Solo, a mechanical engineer ten years older. They will have a son named Ben.
Phillip will choose to study medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and will specialize in pediatrics. He will come back to Boston and work at Boston Children's Hospital. Later he will marry a colleague, with whom he will have a daughter and a son.
After Phillip gets married and moves out at the age of thirty-four, Padmé will ask: "Anakin, are we old now?"
