Ah, the wedding. Such a beautiful moment. I'm not crying, you're crying-!
"We are gathered here today to-"
"-Violet. Psst. Pssssssssssssst Violet."
"What is it, Tobey? I am trying to listen to the service."
"Yes, yes I know, me too, I just…I just wanted to say 'welcome to the family.' I…I understand what a big honor this must be for you, to now have a brother such as ME-"
"-I am tolerating you for the sake of our mothers, Tobey. Let's agree to be mutual towards each other."
"Yes. Yes of course, mutual. Sounds lovely. Mutual."
"Do you not know what mutual means, Tobey?"
"Of course I do, but…but well, we both know that Becky loves defining words, why don't we let HER tell us what it means? She's standing right behind us, after all."
"Becky? Hello?"
"Shh, guys, I'm trying to listen to the service. I'll define the word later!"
Violet looked at Becky, mouth gaping open. Then both she and Tobey turned back to listen to the ceremony.
After the ceremony is over, the entire family goes back to the McCallister residence…oops, I mean the McCallister-Heaslip residence…for the afterparty.
"Goodbye Mothers! Have a wonderful honeymoon! Oh, I'm so happy for them!"
"Me too, Tobey. Me too."
"Yes. Well, I suppose I'd better get to work on these dishes. After all, wouldn't want this place to turn into a pigsty while our mothers are off celebrating, would we?"
"Of course not. Becky's parents are going to be staying with us until they return from the honeymoon."
"Oh, you mean the Botsfords? Those geniuses? Good, that will make my plan later all the more easier."
"Plan? What plan are you talking about, Tobey?"
"Oh, nothing you need to worry about, dear sister. Ha ha, HAHAHAHAHA!
-
The next day.
"Yawn! Ah, another wonderful morning. The perfect opportunity for me to get to work on my latest plan. But first…breakfast!"
"Hello Tobey."
"What? Violet, get out of my room! I'm still in my pajamas!"
"When you get a moment, come downstairs. I made breakfast for you."
"You…you did? Hmm, maybe this won't be so bad after all. Very…ahem, very well, that's quite kind of you, I'll be right down."
"Emm, delicious, absolutely wonderful Violet, thank you!"
"No problem, Tobey. So, do you have any plans today? You mentioned you're working on something?"
"Oh most certainly, dear sister. You see, I have a certain…comeuppance…that I was originally going to do last week, but then the engagement ended up distracting me up until now."
"A comeuppance?"
"Yes, that's right. You see, last week I was walking to my favorite candy store, as usual. And wouldn't you believe it, but some INCONSIDERATE FOOL placed a brand new road sign DIRECTLY in my path! I walked face-first into it, nearly bashing in my perfect nose! That is when I swore vengeance, Violet! I swore that I would track down the city department chair member RESPONSIBLE for daring to place that sign in the way of Theodore McCallister the Third! I shall find this person and use my robots to smash their house to bits! Ha ha, HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Here Tobey…have more pancakes."
"Oh, don't mind if I do!"
Twenty minutes later.
"Oof, that's too many pancakes for me, that's for sure. Still, thank you Violet! Violet? Hello? Now where did she go…? Oh no matter, I must get to work! To my laboratory!"
A moment later, in Tobey's bedroom-
"-LABORATORY! It's a LABORATORY! And where on earth is my robot remote? I left it just here before breakfast! Where is it, where could it…?"
"-Looking for something, dear brother?"
"...Violet. You…you culinary DECEIVER! You tricked me into eating your delicious breakfast just so you could steal my remote!"
"I did not steal your remote, Tobey," said Violet, closing her eyes and placing her hands on her hips. "I simply decided, as your older sister, that you were not going to use that remote responsibly."
"OLDER sister? We're in the same class!"
"I am still two months older."
"You cannot do this! You cannot take my remote! Without it, I cannot claim the revenge that is rightfully mine!"
"Well that's just too bad Tobey."
"Violet, I warn you only once! GIVE ME BACK MY REMOTE!"
"I will not. I'm your sister now, that means you're MY responsibility."
"Ugh, you irritating little imbecile with your whispery voice and your…THIS WILL NOT STAND! Robots, attack!"
…
"...Oh, right. No remote. Umm…"
"Perhaps now you can spend your time more productively, Tobey. Try something besides smashing and destroying things. Maybe try making some friends for a change."
"...Friends? Oh, that won't be necessary, Violet. For you see, I have MANY friends."
"I mean friends that you don't need to control with a wireless controller."
"Who needs a wireless controller when you have a contact book?"
Tobey walks out of his room, storming past Violet on his way.
"Tobey, where are you going?"
"Oh, just making a quick call, nothing you need to worry about. Let's see here, what page was that number on again? Dr. Two-Brains, Mr. Big, Eileen…ah, here it is!"
RING, RING
"Hello, Victoria? Yes, do you still play the recorder?"
