Is Jess alright, Naomi?; Daisy asked when she saw her coming. Oh yes, he's just resting, Daisy; Naomi said as she walked towards their bedroom. Oh, that's good, Naomi; Daisy replied.

Mike and I will be waiting for you in the buckboard when you're ready; Daisy said as she opened the front door. I'll be ready in a few minutes, Daisy; Naomi said as she went through the bedroom

door. Alright, dear; Daisy said as she walked out the door. I've got the buckboard all hitched up for you, Daisy; Slim said whe n he saw her on the porch. Thank you, Slim; Daisy said as he helped her up.

You two be careful now, Daisy; Slim said as he handed her the reins. We will, Slim; Daisy replied. Be sure to keep an eye on Jess while we're gone; she added. I will, Daisy; Slim

replied. Is Naomi comin' with us, Aunt Daisy?; Mike asked inquisitively. She'll be here in a few minutes, Mike; Daisy replied. Here she comes now, Mike; Daisy remarked. Up you go,

Naomi; Slim said as he helped her up beside Daisy. Thank you, Slim; Naomi said as she straightened her skirt. You all be careful now, Daisy; Slim said. We will, Slim; Daisy said as

she got the team going. I think you'll like Laramie very much, Naomi; Daisy said as she drove down the road. I'm sure I will, Daisy; Naomi said smiling. But I don't think it'll be better than the ranch,

or the people on it; Naomi said smiling. And before Naomi knew it, she and Daisy and Mike were on the outskirts of Laramie.
