Prologue 3: Meeting An Alien Goddess

(Before the reign of the Goddess's Reincarnations)

Before the time of the Elves, the world was ruled by two deities: Laurentia, Goddess of Light, and Rhukteus, the God of Darkness. At one point in history, they were as close as siblings as they created all forms of life within the world. But now, they are using themselves to do one thing and thing only: to kill each other in what seems to be their final fight.

In the moment before the storm, Laurentia sits in the throne of her humble palace in the sky as she gathers her energy and uses a portion of itself to craft three mirrors. These mirrors aren't normal mirrors for one shows her memories/the past from her viewpoint, the other foreshadowing the events after the final fight between herself and her brother.

Seeing the future of the world she wanted to save from Rhukteus' intent of wiping it clean because of her creation of the human race. The blonde, flawless-skinned individual adopted an horror expression after seeing what happens to her latest Reincarnation named Celestine Lucross. Laurentia has seen a war that lasted a thousand year between an alliance of her reincarnation against the queen of the dark elves only to see a human betraying his people by declaring himself as an emperor.

An emperor to an empire that enslaves women and force them to forced sex to the point of breaking them mentally. With that, she saw this empire conquering and corrupting anything that stands in their way. Seeing this cruel future makes this war pointless as the cause she'll be fighting for will betray her for power and lust.

Laurentia smashed her fists on the throne's arms as her expression became more determined, "I won't allow this! I would need a Champion!"

With that, Laurentia focuses her sight on the third mirror as the mirror displays many contestants who will become the Champion of her 4th reincarnation. Out of 249 universes, the Goddess of Light has never felt a great sadness that paled her feelings on the day the God of Dark betrayed her as she paid witness to an individual named Issei Hyoudou. This Issei Hyoudou in his last moments on life as his loved ones and friends betrayed him so much because he was deemed useless for Issei became a monster in order to murder them in cold blood.

So much rage! So much pain! Whatever event causes him to be seen as 'useless' that they throw him away like he was nothing. Issei is just a child and he deserves so much better than what she just witnessed. And so, Laurentia the Goddess of Life has found her champion!

His eyes flicker and open as his vision slowly clearly as he finds himself confused as the environment he has seen is not what he suspects. His thoughts were confused as he thought that his soul would have gone to the Underworld where Hades once ruled. Instead, he sees a blue sky as he hears the chirping of the birds causing him to question if he's in heaven.

Ultimately, he moves against it due to Irina's betrayal, making him wonder if the others within the Angel faction and even God himself are truly evil in their own image. Regardless, Issei needs a better view as he finds himself laying on the ground. He slowly sits on the ground; noticing how peaceful the environment he's in. The winds whistling and trees obeying the winds as their arms dangle the leaves. The ground is full of all manner of green including random colors of flowers.

It was until a feminine voice rang out his name causing Issei to rapidly get up and summon or turn into his dragon self. At least, trying to as he figures he is without his armor or his body still human. Even worse, he tried to gather his energy as he wriggled his hand to do so, but not even a spark emitting from his fingers displayed itself to him. He switched up his tactics as he prepared himself in hand-to-hand combat.

He circles himself to look for the source of the voice, "Show yourself!"

"There's no need for violence, Issei Hyoudou," said the voice as it sounded like she was behind him!

Issei turns around while winding up a punch; only to find himself struck both metaphorically and literally.

In a metaphorical manner, he was kind of speechless at the voice of a beautiful woman in her early thirties as she was wearing some sort of gown that exposed much about her breasts and hips. The best guess for her height would be about 6'4 or 6'5 as her skin, not just flawless, seems to shine like a diamond like the time where he first met Archangel Michael. Her brown eyes remind him so much about his mother and other loving mothers he has seen at the time of the family abusing him, yet her eyes showing struggle to cry for her eyes. If he was a person he was, the woman would have been one of the good ones.

The problem is that there are two reasons for Issei to never trust anyone at this point. First, the woman in front of him lifted a hand and with a three finger sign; completely stopping Issei from making a mistake and moving even a single itch of his body altogether. It's reasonable to stop a person from outright attacking someone who may or may not have something with Issei waking up in the middle of the forest, but not letting him to move so he can stand down isn't a part of reasonable actions. Lastly, his final moments on Earth weren't exactly an accident nor filled with sadness and what not, but filled with anger and the desire to pay back some damage to the very people who he looks up to, have a relationship, or a friendship/rivalry shows their true colors. All-in-all, the woman standing before him isn't someone to be fully trusted despites how divine she may look like.

"I know this is what it seems, but I'm doing this to prevent you from doing something regretfully without giving you a reason." said the goddess as she looks down in shame for the action of holding him like that.

"What reasons would that be?" Issei questions as he manages to speak after some difficulty.

"All in due time, I assure you. But, first could I have your word if you put aside your aggression?" Laurentia asks as she is ready to release him with hopeful thoughts of Issei to listen.

Regardless of the reasons to trick her and attack her when he let down her guard, the little voice in Issei's head wanted him to at least listen to what she had to say to him since he completely became a dragon. Despite being one of the strongest races, dragons, once removed with the rage, greed, and lust, can detect all that makes a person through smell and sight. For now, he hasn't detected any sought of lies, but that doesn't kill his doubt based upon his betrayal. He doesn't want to voice it out instead, he gives her a grunt as an understanding look for them.

As such, she lowered her hand and Issei was free as he stumbled before regaining his footing. With that, the Goddess guides him to her home.

Laurentia didn't guide Issei to her throne since she really feels that Issei will take it the wrong way. Extremely! So, she leads him to the cabinets of her home as it may provide a better response (and not to mention increase the hope of Issei accepting the deal).

The room Laurentia leads Issei into is very interesting for the cabinets as it isn't what Issei expects and it isn't man-made so to speak. The room looks completely one with nature as the floor is decorated with all colors and types of flowers and green as the stone pathway is the only thing man made. The layer upon layer of the wall seems to make up the roots of a great tree as the same could be said for the table: only the surface resembles a chop down tree. The chairs; instead of standard designs from humans or the same materials from the table, it looks entirely and reinforced out of plant moss.

Laurentia turns around to face him and motion Issei to take a seat, which he reluctantly does as he still expects the goddess to showcase her dark side. He shoulder bumps her to see a hidden glare in her eyes in the corner of his eye, but all he sees is the hurt committed by his action. Still, he approaches the chair as he checks on how in the world would someone make a chair out of plants since they can be easily cut down or in his case, his weight would have crashed it to the ground.

His doubts on the chairs died out when he got sight of the woman taking a seat on a chair without any flaws. With that, he slowly sat down on the seat as he focused on ensuring he sat comfortable yet ready for the action at a surprising notice since the woman had enough power to freeze his movements. For a couple of moments, Laurentia and Issei are in what might be considered an awkward slatemale as neither speaks and quietly gazes into each other. The goddess has a nervous expression on her face as she has greatly underestimated his hostility. Well, granted to the fact that a lot of people that know Issei have betrayed him creating a sort of paradox of trust right now.

Lucky, the stalemate has gone far enough as the goddess decides to take the first step in establishing trust between herself and the chosen champion, "Do you want any refreshment before we start?"

Issei raised an eyebrow in confusion as he saw Laurentia waving her fingers from one side to the other. Until his right hand suddenly found itself wrapped around something causing him to look. His eyes widened in shock as he saw a small cup with a stream emitting because of the people who teach him to do his magic before the Rating Game against Riser Phenex to the events that followed to his presumed death. When it comes to transporting things, there is a magic circle that often gives warming in the form of a shining light, but all she did was swipe her fingers and a cup full of streaming liquid just came into his hand.

With a nervous smile, Laurentia asks, "Tea?"

Needless to say that Issei thinks that the tea is either drugged or poisoned as he tests the Goddess in a way, "I don't drink tea!"

It was Laurentia's time to be confused until she reminded herself about Issei's circumstances, "What do you drink then?"

He looks at the goddess again as he simply says, "Not tea!" Then, he looks at the cup again to see it turned into mist and vanish without a trace.

"I'm sure that there are many questions surrounding…"

"No Shit!" Issei mutters as he gives her a look that goes straight to the point.

Issei blinked as he saw something that was completely unexpected because Laurentia had her hands over her mouth with widened eyes. That expression kind of reminds him of the time he first met Freed and facing Asia when he confessed he's a devil to her. When that memory came, Issei softened as that expression almost matched with that of Asia.

Almost was the keyword! On the outside, Issei looks a little shocked himself at seeing the similarities between the woman and the witch he have met during his first days of being a devil, but on the inside? On the inside, Issei was furious, to say the least, at being reminded of the bastards and bitches that had used him. He, now, cursed his naivety and his perverts for making him blind enough to not see through their lies past their promises and sights of breasts.

The dragon senses told him that the goddess isn't faking her reaction to his bad mouth, yet he is in turmoil. Despites the goddess of light being truly a good entity, Issei doesn't want to believe since he carries under no illusion that she wants something from him as she somewhat saves him. His dragon side detects no act from Laurentia meaning the small part of himself trusts her, but he expects sinister from a goddess that never did what her opposite enjoys.

As he was in conflict with himself, the Goddess felt the conflict and snapped out of her reaction; only for her to lean forward with her hand resting upon the hand in her range. This snaps Issei out of the inner conflict as he looks straight into her eyes, his mind going blank at what he sees in her eyes on a closer look. A tear ran down her cheek forming a river as Issei could see sadness, the feelings of depressation and angst. Yet at the same time, Issei could also see a sliver of hope and innocence (one that surpasses Asia) as if he were those superheroes from his favorite shows when he was a kid.

"I understand the circumstances of your situation, but allow me to explain why you are here. Once finished, I won't force you, for you will be the one to make this decision," said Laurentia as she calmed down the humanoid dragon.

"What type of decision?" Issei asks as he was slightly relieved as Laurentia won't try anything, but he is mostly confused about what she wants with him.

The Goddess merely replied, "One that will give you a new fresh start and one that will alert the fate of my world!"

"Huh?" It was all Issei could utter because he was confused with the way she said 'her world' since last time he checked the earth is everyone's world unless she speaks her land or realm as her world.

However, he was somewhat surprised that someone actually cared about him. Sure, he have friends, but let's be honest; Kiba was a bastard who fools people with his pretty face, Saji was an arrogant piece of shit who no doubt care about no one, but himself and Sona, Vali was a Lucifer after all with pride and brutality, and the perverted friends used him as a meat shield. With a betrayal that big, he starts to doubt that anyone else during his time as a supernatural being isn't exactly who they are or have a shed of thought of him as a person. In the end, the promise of new life from Laurentia is a pretty big deal to Issei to think about.

"Ahem," the Goddess cleared her throat as she prepared to say her piece, "My name is Laurentia the Goddess of Light as I'm an equal to the one known as the Biblical God! Issei Hyoudou, I've used my magic to create a breach into your world and summon you from the clutches of death."

"EHHHH?!" was all Issei says as Laurentia is not just a goddess, but a being that is considered to be the dead Biblical God's equal. Even more surprising is that the Goddess of Light, who is an alien to him, basically saved him from the aftermath of his conflict against everyone who admits using him as a weapon. Issei reads manga and watches some anime shows that throws Isekai which seems more impossible due to the fact that the supernatural were hiding in plain sight in his world.

"How in the world is that possible?" said Issei as he is having a hard time believing most of the Goddess have said since he has felt and knows that he has died with his betrayers, "On a minor note, how did you know about my name exactly?"

"Well, it's kind of complicated to explains everything," Laurentia seemingly complains as her eyes lost the shine of her eyes and looks like she was about to drop face-first to the table for a full minute before she straighten herself, "Yet, I can give you the important facts of the Resurgence Treaty."

Before Issei could question this treaty, Laurentia summarized the events leading to the treaty in the form of a magical mirror for visualization and her voice, "There was a time where the gods of each world truly believed that we are the only ones in existence. Whether bound by time or space, the magic of the worlds never really advanced as the heavens, the Earth, and underworlds used the magic for their own purposes."

The mirror shifts to a being completely hidden by the sun as the light renders him as a shadow, "It was until a god known Aten managed to do what everyone thought to be impossible: created a bridge from his world to another world. It was a complete shock to the gods of the world to meet the god of another world as it has been proven that there are 'doorways' hidden somewhere within Ley lines."

"Around the same time, world after world discovered their ley lines charged up and forging other bridges into the world's past or the other worlds. Upon the first contract between each other, it is a new age of peace or even sparks the new golden age," Laurentia says as the mirror depicts the Gods meeting their counterparts, magical races, and humans shaking hands upon discovery.

"In this Golden Age of the Universe, everything such as knowledge, technology, or even power was shared! Using the best of their worlds to improve the others!" Issei then sees them helping each other out to prolong the Golden Age and is deeply surprised at the moment.

"However," the Goddess paused signaling Issei seeing the dark side behind the Isekai magic as his world seemingly doesn't have any knowledge of the events since Aten was a god from Earth last time he checked. Logic kicks in as there seems to be a reason why it was forgotten, kept hidden, or somewhere among the lines.

True to his thinking, the Goddess says as the mirror displays a new image with five silhouettes, "Not everyone… was so pure of heart!"

The mirror begins to shows monsters/demons stormed into other worlds like a plague, Self-Righteous Rulers, with a heart for riches, leaded armies to conquer the lessers, and the Gods; those who fallen out of favor with the worshippers or dislike the peace slaughter some of their kind to gain control of the alien worlds, "These beings on the other hand, they saw other worlds as new lands to be conquered!"

"The peace between them… erupted into all-out war," the mirror shifted directly into battling between Gods, men, and demons and everything-in-betweens as they sought rulership over the new lands, "Each of the worlds fighting to preserves their worlds by committing complete and utter destruction of the other!"

By the end of that, the mirror has nothing to show to Issei and shatters into nothingness leaving Issei to be awestruck at the events before the treaty was created as it was greater death and destruction than the Old Devil Lucifer had unleashed onto the Earth.

"Then what happened?" Issei asked as he hopes that this interplanetary war… this Isekai war didn't evolve into a cold war.

"Not what, who?" Laurentia declared as she looked around confusing Issei to that action since like some or all gods on Earth were afraid of this particular someone before the existence of a certain terror organization, the same could be said to the gods of the other worlds.

She continues after the seemingly all-clear look, "What I'm about to said is extremely forbidden for me to utter, (getting Issei to looks serious as if receiving the world-ending type of bad news) as the war rages on, the ley lines were abuse more than on many occasions as it ultimately creates the endless void. A realm where time and space have no domain within and it's ruler is the main cause of the treaty to exist."

When Issei hears that, his eyes are slightly widened as the goddess is kind of talking about the Dimensional Gap since it's the same when he first ventures into the Gap except for the fact that the Gap emits irregular colors.

"Thinking about it now, it is kind of poetic justice that the ruler is known as the Infinite Dragon God as it was born with the Dimensional Gap. That Dragon God ended that war by killing too many of the mortal races and destroying the strongest of Gods and Demon Lords." The Goddess declared with the most saddest of smiles as this fact have shocked Issei to the core for Ophis, the purest of dragons and one who saved him in the aftermath of his battle against Shalba, have a role in this isekai war by proving itself the strongest being before Great Red.

"Ophis did that!?" Issei mutters, causing the Goddess to look at him with a frightened face.

"How did you know about it?" Laurentia panics at the mere mention of the name.

"I'm her first friend!" Issei reply.

"Wait, the Infinite Dragon God who slaughters everyone who dared challenge or face across during the war is your friend and it's her!?" Laurentia says as her body begins to shake violently and eyes start to let go. 'All I wanted was to Issei a fresh start as well as to helps my world from slavery. Issei is friends with the Infinite Dragon God and if she finds out that I've basically kidnapped her friend's soul, she's going to erase me for sure! Now what I'm going to do!'

Being a witness to Goddess' sudden mood change, Issei is about to said something until the Goddess hands shot out and grabbed Issei's hands as she looks at him in what seems to be a puppy dog expression as she was rapidly saying sorries and begging for forgiveness over and over for something that he doesn't have heard exactly what she sorry for.

'Although, she may summon me against me resting in peace to do something for her, but seeing her like this: SHE'S… TOO… MUCH… PURE!' Issei thought this innocence is a rival to Gabriel, the most beautiful woman of Earth's Heaven as he started to act on his instinct around this more human side of the Goddess.

"It… It's okay," he said as he couldn't stand an 'innocent' crying, "I don't know if this is related to Ophis being my friend or not, but I assure you that you didn't do anything wrong!" 'At least so far!' a small part of Issei says as it being a reminder about what Ophis can and might do when she finds out about his betrayal and this situation. "Please stop crying!"

Although it may have succeeded as Laurentia has stopped crying and looks at Issei with puffy and teary eyed pout, "You really think so?"

"I know so!" Issei declares with the small voice recoils, 'Not!'

That seems to allow the Goddess to be at ease as she leaked tears of joy that if Issei sees it that way then it's favorable that Ophis will see that too. Still holding his hands, Laurentia says, "Thank you Issei Hyoudou!"

"You're welcome, Laurentia. You're alright enough for this," Issei says as he still needs a reason for being here and the treaty has a role in it.

She lets go of his hands and clears his throat as she continues the history since its near it's end, "When She finish off the last aggressors, the surviving holds a meeting and swore to never again intervenes with each worlds by destroying the gates and restore the ley lines to its previous status. However, a secret meeting occurs before the treaty goes into effect and held by the more widely known Deities of their world as they all agree that should their worlds is in danger of something they can't handle or handling such problems that have yet to arrive. They ultimately agree that the solution to these disastrous events is using the same magic system that allows traveling to the other worlds to be used to summon one being from another world, with unique abilities that exceeds their world, to be a beacon of hope standing against the darkness."

With that understanding, Issei begins to see what she wants out of him: to be the beacon of hope against whatever the darkness in her world will be facing. For that, he was a little mixed on this approach based upon his experience back on Earth. He wielded boosted gear since his birth that attracts the supernatural of his world and became a devil enslaved with the native dream of having a harem. With the women he thinks care for him and friends, he enters battle after battle against the likes of supernatural terrorists, rogues, and others with his life on the line; only to be discarded once the source of his value was destroyed. Knowing there's a world in which the Goddess chose him to be saved as he thinks about the children being in danger is something he couldn't ignore. However, like the bitches Issei is angry at being used for something regardless his instincts have deemed the Goddess to be trustable. In the end, Issei Hyoudou is greatly conflicted on this situation or more simplified: whether or not Issei accepts the responsibility of being the Goddess' chosen to handle what might be a world-ending threat.

After so much thinking, Issei decides to break his silence to the patient Laurentia, "That's why I'm here then! To save your world against whatever the threat may be!"

"Yes," Laurentia said with such serecity as she got ready to answer the coming question.

"Why me?" Issei asks as he wonders why he was chosen since he was fully prepared to die and rest in peace when he turned his heart into a timed bomb.

"Because after watching your… final moments in your world, I strongly believe every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end! Since everyone rejects you and admits their 'abuse' over you, it's overdue that you, Issei Hyoudou, deserves a new fresh start."

"How do you know that!? Have you been spying on me?" he said with shock and anger as this brought a new view on the Goddess for another reason to not trust her despites his guts telling him so.

Laurentia felt an arrow strike her heart from the tone of her champion suggests, "Well… I have summoned mirrors to look throughout the cosmos scanning for the one to be my champion… until I see you. So in a way, I did spy on you from the start of that gathering in that mansion to the explosion triggered by your death."

From Issei's view, he saw the Goddess look downcast as she admits that she was spying on him, but not the way he'd expect as Laurentia did in order to find the one who will fight for her cause. However, it does create tensions as Rias confessed that she was waiting and no doubt enjoyed the sight of Raynare, the bitch who thrust him into the Supernatural element, gutted him in order to have his power.

His hair covered his eyes as he asked in a harsh tone, "If you were watching me there, then why couldn't he summon me here before my desire?"

Once again, this has brought Laurentia guilt as she could feel the pain and hurt in Issei. She couldn't face him as this is her 2nd hardest decision she has made, "I have to see!"

That statement causes Issei to blame the table HARD as he yells, "YOU HAVE TO SEE? SEE WHAT EXACTLY? TO SEE MY HEART TO SHATTER INTO A THOUSAND PIECES? TO SEE MY TEARS RAN DOWN MY FACE AFTER SEEING THE HATE I SAW IN THEIR EYES! TO SEE ME FROZEN WITH SHOCK THAT THE PEOPLE I KNEW AND LOVED THEM SHOW THEIR TRUE SELVES? TO SEE ME CONSUMED WITH THE DESIRE TO KILL THEM FOR REVENGE EVEN IT MEANS KILLING MYSELF IN THE PROGRESS? TO WATCH THEM TO BRUTALLY TORTURE ME BEFORE KILLING ME!?"

The mask Issei has worn throughout the experience is now unmasked allowing Laurentia to see all in the crying and rageful eyes of Issei Hyoudou. This decision has constantly reminded her of regrets and sadness of picking a broken to be her champion. She could pick anyone who's shown that they are ready to handle the problem in the short run, but she has questions about whether their morals, mental and physical preparedness are truly aligned with saving the threat. Nevertheless Laurentia has nothing to gain in the art of deception and everything to gain by telling the truth.

Whatever her truth sounds beauty or ulgy, the Goddess is honest forevermore, "That's another reason of having you in my world…"

Hearing that bring greater rage and hatred at the Goddess for her nature have fooled his dragon instincts for she wanted someone to be her attack dog.

Before Issei could react, the Goddess of Light continues, "Because the best way to save the world from cruel betrayal and drowns in debauchery is someone who knows what it likes to be used, but refuses to surrender to a fate worse than death!"

"Huh?" That statement drains all anger as confusion plagued his mind as he tried to understand what Laurentia meant by that as he now wonders about what kind of threat he is going to face against.

Seeing his confusion written all over his face, Laurentia conjures a hand-sized mirror and hands it to Issei. When Issei has his hand on the mirror, he looks to the Goddess as he hears her say, "Gaze into the mirror and know the enemy! Beware, Issei, for the answer you seek isn't for the faint of heart!"

With the warning, he gazed into the mirror and his heart became heavy and his stomach: he wanted to vomit at what he had seen. What he saw that sicked him was that he saw men and male monsters rape a diversity women of Laurentia's world as these dickheads laugh whenever they saw the women in pain or cries. Then, see what is greatly impossible and deadly when these massive monsters shoved their big cocks into the tiny pussies of girls, which should have killed them. It kept getting worse as fathers betrayed their sons or families as they forced themselves onto their daughters or the wives of their sons. Mostly all types of monsters, beast-kins, or other males also partake in this nightmare as he saw countless of insects seemingly enjoying themselves onto a shrine maiden as she descended into sickly endless pleasure. However, Issei's breaking point is seeing that mass gangbangs have broken these women so much that they fucked themselves to arouse, spread their legs or opened their mouths for the next ready dick with a smile. Even more so that he saw the shadowy figures disgusting smilies as they made the women bathe in their cum both literally and figuratively. Before he crushed the mirror with his bare hand, he saw the Goddess' world become covered with darkness, inciting the Bastards to force the world under their defiled rule.

He breathes heavily and he has the darkest look ever as hate and anger over these figures. He seemingly looks at the floor as he wonders why didn't the Goddess do something about it since the threat is local and that seeing what happened to the women can be considered as a greater evil than these fiends! Worse of all, it reminds him of that devil scum who loved tricking holy women and then turning them into his personal slaves once he broke their wills.

He says with a hushed tone, "The boys, some of the men, and most of all; the women don't deserve such cruelty! When I have my hands around those bastards, they are going to die!"

The Goddess' ears perked up on hearing that, "Does that mean you're going to help them?"

Issei looks at the Goddess and sees in her eyes: hope and happiness, the type of seeing into the eyes of the children whenever he does the Oppai Dragon shows when he has come back to the Underworld and a nick of time when the terrorists were attacking that day. Even after all he has been through or what he has seen in the mirror, there is still a shed of his old self that wants to fight against those scums. He just hopes that it won't give him another death or another betrayal.

After so long, Issei finally says with determination with little hint of hesitation, "I will!"

Hearing that, Laurentia gives out a smile as her entire being is beaming up in joy as Issei agrees. She could jump over the table and give him the best hug and the best kiss to do so. In fact, she may as well try it, but Issei stops her or to be more precise; his questions have stopped her from doing so.

"If you're as powerful as God from my world, how come you don't… I don't know how to punish them for such evil?"

The Goddess of Light blinked at the question as a pout appears on her face for she wanted to hug and kiss making rules that the Deities shouldn't mixed with the created, she couldn't helped it, but have a desire of kissing him as well as thinking him a handsome Created. A grave pity for she wanted to experience a kiss from an outworlder. To know how different he is to her Created that is, nothing very special! Is it?

Nevertheless, She is obligated to help Issei in any way before he starts his journey, "For that answer, I would recommend a change of scenery for that answer to be explained properly. Is that alright?"

Before Issei could question anything, Laurentia gets up and approaches Issei's side as one of her hands briefly touches Issei's shoulder and holds up her remaining hand. With a snap of her fingers, they leave her private study by vanishing in a bright light.

In a room that is smaller than the private study, a bright light occurs as it brightens as bright as a star before it fades away. Out of the light came the Goddess of Light and the humanoid dragon as the latter started to look around; only to find himself in a new room. The new room is unlike the private study or the Goddess' home as there is no green, no windows, and no decoration of any kind like furniture or paintings. Well, it is kind of true that there is a tower style furniture with an open book resting upon the top of the stand with a bottle of ink and a quill in it. Besides that, the walls are colorless and shroud in darkness as there is candlelight on the corner of the room and stands the sides of that particular tower-like furniture.

After seeing the new room, Issei turns to Laurentia as he asks, "Did you just teleport us into this room with a snap of your finger?"

She merely smirks as she adopts a prideful posture, "Well, I'm a goddess after all!"

"You mean to tell me that you could do that right at the beginning before I have to walk 8,000 or more steps between where you meet me and your Palace which rests atop of a mountain!"

"Well… you didn't trust me at that moment, doing so will no doubt make me more untrustworthy if I do that," Laurentia confessed as she struggles to keep her pride and smile.

"I… I suppose that's true, but still that was still tiresome walking about 8,000 steps," said Issei as he admits Laurentia and still complaining about that since he have used his wings and magic circle during his time as a devil making him slightly out of shape when it comes to walking the distance of a mountain's height.

Now her struggling smile swift to clueless as she mutters, "I don't understand why is that tiring to walk 8,000 steps. It's basically a walk between villages as well as an exercise for my case."

"Anyway, where are we?" Issei asked as he no longer wanted to drag on knowing he was beaten with that argument.

"Oh," Laurentia, who kind of forgot about being in the most important place, now remembers, "We are in the most secure place in the world."

"Doesn't look secure at all!" said Issei as it's understandable that he doesn't see anything like traps.

"Only to those that I don't deem as a threat," Laurentia replied as she walked to where the book is as she bellows Issei to be close with her. He did so as he looked at the book as it appeared to be a book explaining the magic of the world. It seems to be important since he's an out of her world meaning the rules of magic are varieties to each world, but how does it connect to his answer.

For now, he goes for some history as he asks about the book first, "Why is this book protected in this room?"

"I'm not so sure about how your world's magic works or how it started, but in this world… It was my kind, the Gods, who created the first forms of magic when the world was young and wrote it within this book which we make into a part of our reality to harness the energy so that the ley lines in our world don't overflow. So long as this book exists, many can learn the forms of magic and use it whether good or evil as it drains the energy, instead of being stored."

At this point, Issei wasn't surprised that the Gods were the first to create magic as the myths of their world echoes the times before humanity. As well as being intrigues at this book is what allows the humans and the demi-humans to learn magic when the possibility that they can be born to have magic as well. Issei is also shocked that this sort of strategy has prevented ley lines to form gates which makes him wonder about the magic being used on earth and also prevent the ley lines there from restarting the war from scratch.

"So, how does this connect to the question?"

"It's part of the solution to the answer I'm going to give," says Laurentia, who seems struggling of finding the right words for what she going to said next, "The true is that not only the events haven't happen until at least several thousand years, but also I won't be there… at least not completely!"

"What?!" Issei shouted as once more the Goddess had dropped another bomb that not these events will happen in the distant future, but her wording makes him guess that she is going to die at some point. "What do you mean by that? How? Why?" Issei asked in a rapid pace to the Goddess.

This time the Goddess isn't caught off-guard like the revealing of the Dragon God as she completely expects this, "In this time and age, I'm currently at war against an Evil God and have expected that I will die fighting against him."

"When is that going to happen?" Issei slowly asks as he's shell-shocked at the information and the goddess of light just says it so calmly.

"Two sunlight from now as me and Rhukteus, the Lord of Darkness, shall each other and we shall deliver the final blow to each other as it marks the end of the Age of the Gods."

"Then why are you facing him if you know you're going to die? Shouldn't you use the remaining time to figure out a way to survive?" Issei wonders about why she willing to be completely reckless enough to be let the enemy to deliver the final blow, then again there were moments in his time as the Red Dragon Emperor that are like time in the battle against Loki as he, unaware, let himself open when the Fenrir bites him fatally.

Laurentia shows her sad face as she says, "I… If I do that, then I shall doom the world!"

"How's that being worse than what you have shown me?!" Issei yelled as he couldn't believe what she saying is as he finds nothing worse than a world where the sickest of men willing to rape innocent children and women as they slaughter without any shed of humanity as they aligned themselves with monsters to achieve their own vision of what the world should be like!

"I… I have seen through the mirrors which can help me see many possible futures as well as finding solutions to counter the futures that led my home to suffer. I can tell you more about this, but the best conclusion can be simple at the end of this war," then the Goddess looks straight into his eyes, no more precisely his soul. In response, the dragon flinched for he saw in much clearer details of her eyes. Despite her eyes being greenish-blue, they carried grief, tiredness, and serenity.

"In a lifetime of waging war against the God of Darkness, I have seen how the war impacts all of creation! I have seen our fights scar the beauty of the lands. I must witness the suffering of the people as they grieve for the ones they've and plead with us to forgive them of the destruction rendered unto them. Seeing the chaos we've wrought unto the world as we, gods, battle each other with no care whatsoever has made me fearful what would happen if we, gods, continues to exist after the war…"

Hearing Issei couldn't help it, but having a dark feeling to the ranting of a gentle, yet fierce Goddess as it kinda reminds him of the history lessons involving the Great War. He listens closely now for she has shown a side of divinity that no other god in his world has shown so far; humanity. Gods or Buddhas may learn emotions such as happiness, pride, laziness, lust, wrath, but never the full package that a mortal race to be short-living as this display showcase the possibility of one in a million are actually truly shepherds of humanity.

"In order for the mortal races is meant to not just to reach their full potential, but to inherit the earth. They must do on their own accord; with their happiness, their misery, and without the intervention of the Divine! The last clash of the Gods will be the seeds to a better future at least what I believe so."

After careful thought, he says his conclusion, "You fear your allies will betray you in some way!"

"Just because the others unite under my leadership, but it doesn't actually mean that they will truly see me as the One Above All or follow my sets of beliefs. After the war, they will pretend the war doesn't happen and it's going to start all over again! Allowing this to happen will help them to learn the values of being human."

'Wait, What?' Issei thinks as he hears the Goddess wanted to teach them a lesson, but wanted them to die in their war. It contradicted his guts trusting her and her nature, then again the way she said that statement meant that she wanted to feel mortal and dying get you as close as being human if you're a god. "How are you going to teach them if you wanted them to die in the war?" he really had to ask.

Despites how horrible his question sounds like, the Goddess steel herself and motioned his attention back to the book causing himself questioning about its role in the coming future.

"As I said before we created different forms of magic for mortals to have access to, but I have secretly created a new law. A law that will help to learn what it means to be mortals by living among them."

"What kind of law is that?" Issei is greatly curious about this new law she has made for the Gods.

"The kind that will activate whenever one, whose name is written in the very pages that explains the very law, shall survive even though the body is destroyed. The soul shall live on and await for rebirth…"

Now getting the idea, Issei says, "Wait, you're talking about reincarnation?"

"Eh? How do you know about that? The Law of Reincarnation was created 15 years ago in secret with myself and the others!" The Goddess said as she was surprised once more presented by a being named Issei.

'Are you kidding me?' Issei couldn't help it, but sweat drops at the innocence of Laurentia that he couldn't ask this, "How old is the world we're standing on?"

"Oh, this world or more precisely, the Gods existed 500 years as all of creation happened about 150 out of these years as of now," Laurentia asked with some confusion about why he wanted to know about.

'Alright, that explains a lot,' Issei thinks as the details within that disgusting future, the room, the book, and the reincarnation law are all evidence that this world is a babe compared to Earth. Added to the fact, that he was turned devil on the day of his death on the date with that murdering Fallen Angel bitch.

"Anyway, based on what you're saying about your latest natural law, doesn't it mean that you will be there to help the people of that future?"

"Well yes and no! I will help my people to the best of my ability, but in the end since I'm a woman of flesh. Each lifetime, I am born with the magic to sustain my title according to the body I'm born with.

"Meaning that you…" Issei tried to say, but he couldn't because it's worse that the Goddess will…

Before he could finish that thought, "Yes, I will face a fate worse than the death I will face in this war. I cannot be the world's champion against the forms of evil, but you can!"

"You're going to put my name in that list," Issei caught the connection between himself and the reincarnation law.

"That is the other condition of being a part of our world: to live in the lands, you must be born into the world!"

"You do realize that I have a longer lifespan than any human, I could wait for thousands of years to prevent those events from coming to pass," Issei said as he knows that he's more dragon than devil or human meaning he can live long enough to handle the threat.

"Well that is if you still have your body," The nervous Goddess mutters as she once more created confusion for Issei before she clarified, "When I summoned you, you were already killed by them…"

"Don't remind me about them!" Issei said with such fury that Laurentia immediately shut-up about mentioning the traitors, "Sorry, I just I don't want to hear any more about them. Anyway If I truly have no body, then how come I feel exhausted when I was walking up the mountain?"

"Mostly because you think that you have a body as well as the afterlife is temporarily closed to all the souls of the dead because of the War. Under rare circumstances, there are a few souls of the dead that still believe that they are still living despites people can't see them."

"So, I'm one of the few souls of the dead because I believe I am tired from walking up a mountain," Issei questions as he crosses his arms because he thinks of such a possibility.

"While I did summon you before you meet whatever the afterlife offers you and you're a soul of the dead for less than a day after all!" Laurentia couldn't help but giggle at Issei's display of natlive.

"So anyway, you're going to write my name on it and I became flesh and blood in the next moment," Issei guessed after a moment of self-awkwardness.

"Yes, but… there is a price!"

"As always!" Issei said as he is very familiar with that sort of prize.

The Goddess turns away from Issei as she looks down at the page written with the names of herself, her sisters, and the Gods that needs the most help of learning mortality, "To be reborn, your memories of your old life must be erased!"

That statement caused Issei to be frozen beyond reason as his feelings swirl all around. At first, confusion and concerns settle in his mind as there is reasonable doubt that if his memories of the information are gone, then how will he be able to pervert the bastards turning women into nothing more than animals in heat. Sadness for he will forget the people he has left behind, well at least Kunou, Gasper, Rossweisse, Great Red, Ddraig, and Ophis. Happiness that he won't remember anything during his life as a child facing abusers in the clothing of saints nor his time as a slave to them. Slight anger at the memories he spent with them or of some strange desire of keeping this sort of hatred that has achieved him of slaining the scum that intervene with his life. Nevertheless for the time being, Issei doesn't know what to say next.

Unknown to him, Laurentia picked up the quill with ink at the ready and wrote down the first name of her champion. She stops writing the full name of her champion for she must know that Issei's own lips that he accepts the condition. It's one thing that Issei accepts the one who will save the land from such a law, but he argues about how he will keep his memories instead of becoming a new being.

After a while, Issei has the courage to talk about this new revelation, "How would I save your people if I don't remember what will bring them to ruin?"

Without turning around, she says, "Your memories may have left you for a new life as it may seem to be a blessing to you, Issei. However, it is the experience of the life you have in your world shall helps you to know who's the threat and who's is not."

"Then, will we know each other after this?" said Issei as he is a little concerned toward his benefactor.

"We, Gods, have little resistance as there is a chance the new me shall remember you! So, the possibilities are endless (and hopefully we spent time together in all of this)." Laurentia says as she couldn't help contain these new emotions, but allowing it to run for it brings more understanding of mortal's behavior.

For the end of his deliberation, Issei declared with the same determination he had when he rescued the red-haired slut of a princess, "I already made up my mind in preventing a fate that exceeds my own suffering. If it means forgoing my life so I can help anyone else from facing the same fate I have to face, then go for it."

Despite his sadness of not remembering his times with the real good people nor a tear running down his cheek, he will accept his fate as he has a new purpose; to ensure that there are no repeats of the betrayal he's faced.

With a smile, the Goddess of Light, Laurentia wrote the last of Issei's full name onto the page as the page started to shine golden light signifying that Issei's reincarnation is in full effect. As she turns around, she sees the spirit of Issei Hyoudou begin to fade in glittering light starting from his hands and legs as he puts on a brave face to counter the seeds of doubt.

The last thing he heard before his vision grew dark was her voice, "Regardless of what form we take or how long it's going to take, we shall meet again!"

Bang, the last of the prologue is over meaning we are on the threshold of something new to Kuroinu! To those who questions how long it takes for this chapter compare to the other two chapters is that I get distracted a lot by seeking benefits of my economy/school funds, as well as gaming, and added to the fact that I start from scratch for this.

I have done a lot of research as well as looks for scenes to be inspires to make Issei willing to become a Champion for Laurentia, but I have started to forget most of High School DxD meaning that I needed to rematch them sometime in the future. If your wondering why this version is a bit OOC, he is acting like I imagine him doing it since I have read a fanfic called The Lone Dragon Emperor because that Issei is a complete and brutal badass, so this is my tribute to that masterpiece. This is a chance that Ophis finds out, then again it's seems unlucky since the Gap covers what might be an infinity numbers of worlds. As for Laurentia's equal, his fate shall be a mystery for me as that name is too good to let it died. As for the Goddess(es) of Eostia, Laurentia is a canon name as she is the Goddess before the Goddess we know as I model her look to mirror Celestine since she is her reincarnation.

It's probably no surprise that Issei is going to be a dragon, but I honest don't know what kind of dragon he's going to be. I know his personality is going to be more enhanced in one way or the another, but his behavior is a dragon will be questionable because I hear that most dragons in hentai are more embrace with their nature as you get my meaning; Dragons of hentai origins are different compare to the dragons of DxD or anime origins. I strongly don't know what he should look like since red is too obvious that he's Issei since he's going to be a different person per say and black is too obvious to be my trademark or Godzilla's. SO, my solution is simple and that is I need your help. I wanted a complete new look of a dragon, so I'm relying on your comments on how this new dragon Issei going to be like. It could be either your imagination or point me of looking for it in google images. That is my request, but I wonder if you, readers, asks of which scenes of which movies, games, and tv series I got it from.

I suspect the deadlines will be when I'm starting the next chapter because I have 16 different stories to write on in complete random order! SO, good luck and may the best designs wins since he is going to be struck with it.
