'Fizzlepop Berrytwist...'
'Don't call me that.'
'Awww, but it sounds so advertising like something from a soda name with fruity flavors.'
'I know that...I don't like that name'
'What about Fizzy?'
'Shut up!'
'Make Me'
'...you really want me to shut you up?'
'There's no other pony, ape or even Grubber around to stop you or see you fizzy to shut me up'
'Say that one more time, I double-dare you.
'Of course, Fizzlepop Berrytwist...'
'That's it.'
She leaps at the smirking pony on the throne, and a struggle ensues between the two of them for a few minutes before a flash is seen from across the room, followed by footsteps running, causing her to quickly get off and bolt after the eavesdropper.
'Go get 'em for me, Fizzlepop BerryTwist'
Her real name is what she threw out years ago after joining her former master, who had promised to restore her horn, which had been her number one personal goal for restoring a major part of her life that was snuffed out when she was a Filly.
The scar on her left eye is a reminder of what happened that day.
'My friends abandon me after that incident, but I persisted until I met 'him.'
Combined with the incident and her abandonment by her friends she fled her village. She had no choice but to live and survive on her own in the wilderness, walking the streets and dirt roads of Equestria alone.
As she walked during her travels, she began to grow bitter and bitter for each town of ponies she came through especially on the cold winter nights. She had to resort to stealing in order to survive during those wintery nights when other ponies wouldn't even show a bit of compassion or kindness to her when asking for their permission to at least spend one night for warmth, food, and a place to sleep.
Oh, how she hated those ponies from years ago before encountering her former master.
'I'll never forgive them for their lack of compassion and kindness.'
Footsteps were heard coming up behind her and approaching her side; she would have to think about what got her here to this point in her life later, as there was work to do now.
'I trust you, my partner. I know you will make me whole once more.' She thought to herself before looking over to her right to see a pug-faced hedgehog leaning up against the metal railing she was standing in front of.
"One heck of a view, eh Temps?" The hedgehog replied with a whistle.
She sighs to herself and rolls her eyes.
"I know Grubber, I know...I've seen many different views throughout the world from my airship to know it's very amazing" Tempest said looking back out at the land surrounding them which stretch out for miles showing green pasture.
Even small towns can be seen down below, along with small mountains, large farm fields, and even forests that stretch out for miles. Mountains in the distance.
A minute of silence passed between the two of them before Tempest spoke up.
"It's almost time," she said to herself, seeing a huge mountain up ahead with a building structure embedded in it.
'Canterlot, my goal where I'll get my life back.'
"Your right about that, the Storm Guard is itching for a battle and those weird batponies that we brought along with the lead advance force really want payback on the Equestrian Government" Grubber told Tempest whose nodding her head.
"I'm sure they have their reasons for wanting revenge against their own kind."
Tempest had heard of the batpony species. She did a quick research on them weeks ago when they were just integrating into her partner's Empire and that was just a few weeks ago. Apparently, they are a nocturnal race of batponies that were created by the 'Princess of the Night' over a millennium plus centuries ago during a violent bloody war against the First Griffon Empire.
After the Griffon Empire's defeat, the Griffon population scattered as more ponies were willingly submitting themselves to be transformed into batponies. It had brought a concern back then that many ponies wished to be transform into batponies but from what she read in her research, the Three Tribes didn't accept the Batpony species as a Fourth Tribe and the Batponies scattered to different parts of the globe, creating their own colonies, coming out only at night and rarely seen during the day time.
That's all she had managed to gather on her research about them so far, maybe when this is all over she'll look up more on the batponies that are traveling with them right now.
'Those batponies traveling with us right now, I guess their genealogy has changed so much over the centuries from what my partner told me a couple of weeks ago.'
As the airship gets closer to its destination, Tempest and Grubber head below deck to make their grand entrance to the unsuspecting civilians of Canterlot when the ship lands.
If they surrender right away, it'll make her day go a lot easier. But she hopes things would be more difficult, making the battle more interesting.
She felt her ship starting to descend, it hit the city concrete, the hatch open up and when the hatch lands on the city concrete too a small loud pop is heard follow by loud gasps
"Brian! Noooooo!"
That's what she heard, followed by somepony sobbing up a storm outside. Whoever that Brian is wasn't very important.
Now that her ship has landed, it's time to make her grand appearance and let those citizens know just who is invading their land.
Watching Grubber pick up an announcement box with a mic, he began to exit the ship and proceed down the walkway to begin his speech he had been preparing for the last several days.
Taking a quick look around, Tempest saw the Storm Guards and Batponies were getting very anxious and impatient in wanting to charge out of the ship right now and begin the invasion.
"Easy, relax, wait for my signal." She ordered.
They all calm down but some remain anxious still as she looks around once more, counting the number of troops she had brought with her ship for this attack.
'Many batponies and a small group of those Apes, I definitely made the right call when selecting the troops to be on my ship for this invasion much to the concern of my Partner' She proudly thought before hearing Grubber begin his speech.
Taking another quick look around at the bat-ponies, many of them were wearing pitch black armor covering up their entire bodies, including black hooded cloaks which cover up the armor too. They even had armor masks covering up their faces and eyes too so their faces couldn't be seen but the eye sockets of the armor masks did glow ominous red.
Only their tail manes could be seen though and many had different colors of tail manes. Plus their bat wings were at their sides too, which also had armor and would be ready to fly through the air once she gave the signal.
And finally, some of them had a unicorns horn on their head poking out through the forehead of their armors helmets.
"And now to deliver the evil message, put your hooves together for Commander Tempest."
That was the signal to make her Grand Appearance.
'It's time," she thought as she casually walked out of her airship and onto the walkway as her broken horn crackled with electrical sparks flaring.
'Sure you can't come along right now?'
'I gotta stay behind for a bit to finalize the treaty and integrate those insect ponies into the empire. Once that's done, I'll depart right away with the main invasion force.'
'Hmph, I thought this was more important.'
'It is Tempest, my spies within our homeland have already subdued that draconequus with a few obsidian orbs turning him back into stone. So we won't have to worry about any type of chaos getting in our way.'
'I'm glad for that but...I want you by my side when we take Canterlot together'
A hoof is placed on her shoulder as her partner looks into her eyes
'I promise, I'll be there by your side when we restore your horn together.'
'Okay, I trust you.'
'I know, partner. You always have as I've always trusted you.'
'And I always will trust you, partner.'
Her eyes glance over the crowd of ponies looking at her, she had their full attention and could've sworn she heard hush whispers amongst the Unicorns, Pegasus and Earth Ponies.
Tempest even got a look at the surrounding large area too, besides the ponies she could see many stands filled with lots of stuff that looked like party supplies, tents holding many different things like art, games, food etc; and definitely no guards around right now.
But what got her attention was the large stage that had a large cannon on it.
Along with many different types of decor, Tempest had to conclude they had land in the middle of some festival and still no guards around.
'Our intel shouldn't have been off, but if no guards, hey that'll make our occupation much simpler.'
"Is that a unicorn?"
"I think so, but what happened to her horn?"
She scoffs at those words.
'I'll get it back no matter what.
She looked at the two creatures who said those words and saw what looked like a lavender alicorn with a six-point star cutie mark on its flank, right next to which was some kind of dragon.
'So that's the Alicorn Princess, the Princess of Friendship, with her dragon, who is her number one assistant. My partner intel was spot on: she's the second major threat.'
Her thoughts are interrupted by the appearance of three more Alicorns gliding down to the front of the crowd, making themselves known to her.
'Both rulers and princesses of the sun and moon are here, along with the ruler of the Crystal Empire, Princess of Love. With all four princesses present, our job is much easier for my partner's arrival.'
Proceeding down the metal ramp, Tempest explained her reason why she was there and that she wants all four Alicorn princesses to surrender their magic to her immediately or things would get very difficult for everyone.
"And why should we surrender to you when there's one of you and hundreds of us?" The Princess of the Night replied defiantly to Tempest.
A small chuckle escaped Tempest as she had secretly hoped things would turn out this way.
"I was hoping you would choose difficult," she smirked as she tapped her right forehoof five times really loudly before blurs came rushing out of the ship, down the ramp, past her and taking positions at the bottom with wings flared out.
More blurrs came from the top deck with wings flapping in the air as Tempest looked up to see her Batponies keeping their direct glares on some of the ponies but most of them kept their glares on the Alicorns.
'They've wanted payback for centuries, now they're finally gonna get their revenge.'
"Are those...batponies?" She saw the Sun Princess ask the Night Princess.
"It looks like them, but I don't understand why they have unicorn horns." The Night Princess replied.
"There has been a great change in their family's genealogy, Princess. Your banishment centuries ago and the subsequent exile of your subjects' ancestors have led their descendants to desire revenge against the high nobility who were responsible for their exile." Tempest answered the Night Princess, noting her surprise at her words.
Stomping her hoof once more her batpony soldiers take flight and begin spreading throughout Canterlot as the ones with the horns charge up and unleash dark blue beams of magic onto the buildings.
At the same time, a couple of foghorns are heard from above as more airships appear out of the dark clouds that had followed the lead advance fleet. Storm Guards from those airships drop from the sky, land in the city, and begin destroying anything in their way; other batponys from the airships take flight and fire their magic at the buildings.
This sudden attack caught everypony off guard as they began screaming and running for cover, while Tempest herself jumped in the air and threw an Obsidian Orb at the Sun princess.
She saw the Princess of Love jump in front of the Sun Princess and throw up a barrier with her magic, but the Obsidian Orb broke through, hitting the pink Alicorn and turning her to stone.
Landing on the ground, Tempest galloped towards the sun princess and kicks another Obsidian Orb directly at her, turning her to stone. She then kicked another orb towards the night princess who tried to fly away but was hit by it.
"Three down, one to go."
She took a brief look around for a moment as her Batpony soldiers were still flying/gliding around the city, firing their magic at it. Nodding she jumped up in the air once more, throwing an Obsidian Orb toward the final princess, unaware of somepony calling out her name and watching it make direct contact as she landed on the ground.
'Got'em, now when my partner arrives I can finally tell 'em how easy it was to subdue these Alicorns" Tempest thought to herself proudly as she trots over to the final stone princess with Grubber coming up to her side.
"Piece of Cake" she said,
"Oh, I love cake." he replied hearing the word "cake."
When the smoke cleared, Tempest got a good look at the princess only to find out it wasn't her.
'W-What?'
"Oh sweet, you totally got her Tempest." Grubber pointed out.
Her broken horn crackles with electric sparks flying out as Tempest stomps her right forehoof.
"That's not the Princess," she snarled, whirling around to face Grubber with a scowl. "Grubber, get her now!"
He nods quickly and runs off, not wanting to face the commander's wrath.
"Come on guys, we gotta get the princess, get some of the batponies and track her down before she gets away."
She sighs in frustration and facehoofs herself.
'Guess my partner is right to not underestimate the Princess of Friendship'
Putting her hoof back on the ground, Tempest looks over at a group of Storm Guards waiting for orders from their commander.
"Grab the statue Princesses and bring them to the castle throne room" She order.
One of the Storm creatures nods and grunts ordering its comrades through grunts and roars as they pick up the three Alicorn statues and take them to the castle.
Before going Tempest takes one look at the pony statue that supposedly save the Princess of Friendship from getting turn to stone.
'This Pegasus pony has weird eyes like they aren't even straight, guess everypony is different in the Pegasus species'
Placing a hoof on the Pegasus statue with weird eyes, she gave it a gently push and turn around not even bothering to watch it shatter into pieces as it hit the ground.
"Hopefully Grubber gets that last Alicorn Princess" Tempest said to herself as she proceeds in the direction towards the castle.
She's determined to complete her goal no matter what.
