Luz didn't know what to think right now, she was starring at Skara, the girl she hasn't seen in so long. She has no idea how Skara even got here since she swam into the Atlantic Ocean, she doesn't understand how Skara ended up here in Japan... in the Pacific Ocean. Luz could only think of a couple ways for Skara to get here, and all of them would take months, even the shortest route would take several weeks at least.

"W-w-what are you doing here?" Luz asked.

Skara smiled a bit before picking up the crate.

"Working." She said, handing the crate to Cat, "Here you go, Hanī."

Cat put the crate on the ground behind the stand. Cat then stepped on a stool behind and leaned over the counter, letting her and Skara kiss.

"Arigatō." Cat said.

"Dōitashimashite." Skara said.

Luz watched this display, unsure of what either of them were saying.

"So, uh... how did you two meet?" Luz asked.

"Oh, well, it was when I-"

"I was pulling in the fishing net when she swam into it." Cat said, making Skara blush.

"We agreed not to tell people that." Skara said.

"Well, this is different, I'm speaking to a mermaid." Cat said, before looking at Luz, "And don't worry about saying that out loud, most people hear don't speak or understand English."

"Uh... okay." Luz said before looking at Skara, "What else have you told her?"

"I mean, I had no real choice but to tell her about you, she literally saw 600 pound koi fish girl get caught in her fishing net, not to mention that I am unable to explain this without explaining the fact that I was dead for like two years." Skara said, "But that's something we can talk about later. What's new with you?"

Skara looked at Luz's finger, seeing a ring.

"It seems like a lot." Skara said with a smirk.

"Marriage isn't as good as you think, like one of your wifes' family kidnapping them and having to have a random wedding a little over a month after dating." Luz said.

Skara giggled.

"Never boring in your life, is it?"

"You've known me long enough to know the answer to that." Luz said, "So, you seem to have... adjusted to your new life."

"Yeah, Kitty Cat and her dad have help immensely." Skara said.

Cat blushed a bit at the nickname.

"Well, I had to help my lovely Tsuitachi o mukaeru." Cat said.

This made Skara blush, and made Luz smirk.

"What did she just call you?" Luz asked.

"... Catch of the day." Skara said, "It's... my nickname, because of how we met."

"And I make it a point to call her that everyday, just so she knows how much she means to me." Cat said, kissing Skara's cheek, "Since I'm very curious about your ex, how about... I go talk to my dad and let him take over while I take you and Luz out to lunch?"

Cat walked to the back of the stand, out of earshot and sight.

"So... how've you been?" Luz asked.

"... Did you know that you can have out of body experiences even when you're dead?" Skara asked, "Ghost, spirit, specter, whatever you want to call it, I was one. Not at all what you think, it's mostly just floating in a black nothingness, but every now and then, I would find myself in places I've been while alive... I spent a long time watching you... you held so much guilt."

"Skar, I-"

"Luz, you didn't need to hold guilt, you couldn't have done anything." Skara said, "It was cancer, I was going to die, no matter what."

"I... I'm sorry you didn't get to live your life." Luz said.

"Really? Luz... look, I'm alive, I'm happy, I have almost everything I want." Skara said, "You have nothing to be sorry for."

"...Thank you." Luz said.

That's when Cat returned.

"Alright, ready to go?" Cat asked.

"Yep!" Skara said, "Luz, you ready? I know you like sushi, and what's better than... well actually it's believed sushi originated in China, but Japan perfected it."

"I won't say no to free sushi." Luz said, "Lead the way."

As the trio left the fish market, they were being watched.

"The fish is accompanied by two others." The stalker said into a radio, "One of them is the girl we've been watching for the past few months. Prepare the bait."
