Chapter 3
When Ethan started to run away from the crowd, he was pulled into an alleyway by Luz and Amity. "Why did you just jump into harm like that," asked Amity, "I don't know something, just compelled me to help those people," said Ethan. "Well, now everyone there just saw that another human is on the Isles," said Luz. She was concerned for Ethan because it took everyone in the demon realm years to get used to her when she was a kid.
Later that day, Luz and Amity were sitting on the couch watching the crystal ball when the news came on with breaking news. "This is Helga Rathmore with breaking news. Another human is on the Isles," said the reporter. Luz and Amity were shocked by the fact someone told a reporter about Ethan, this made them start to panic. "Well, Helga, I have been told that this new human is a shape-shifter of some kind. Here is footage of this afternoon when a Slitherbeast got loose," said another reporter. The footage showed Ditto duplicating and subduing the Slitherbeast, when the beast was recaptured people were praising him when he suddenly turned back to normal. "Whoever this human is he is clearly well skilled at being a hero," said Helga. This made Luz confused and shocked that people were calling Ethan a hero even though he's a human. "And to human in this footage we say, Thank you," said the reporter.
Luz and Amity were shocked by what people were thinking about Ethan that they would see him as a hero. "Ethan, can you come downstairs, please?" shouted Amity. Ethan came down the stairs, wondering what was wrong, he was then standing in front of Luz and Amity, "Is something wrong," said Ethan, No, nothing is wrong, we just wanted to let you know that people are viewing you as a hero after your little stunt," said Amity. "Wait, really," said Ethan. He suddenly felt something. It was acceptance.
Meanwhile, in another part of the Isles was a man who looked less than pleased, "A hero, what a joke," said the man. "First the human who killed Belos, now this. I think I should show this so-called hero what being a human means here," said the man as two eyes shined bright red.
The next day, Luz and Ethan were out shopping. They were buying new clothes for Ethan because he wasn't comfortable wearing the same outfit every day. "Ethan, how about this one," said Luz, holding up a blue shirt with the number ten on it. "Sure, that works," said Ethan, as he was focusing on the pants department. Then, all of a sudden, a loud crashing sound was heard, Ethan and Luz ran towards the noise to see a witch with red, glowing eyes trashing the place. "Where is that human," screamed the man, as he was throwing more clothes displays. "Uh oh, this guy needs to be stopped," he said to Luz, who instantly agreed with him. "There you are," said the man, as he grabbed Ethan and lifted him up by the collar of his shirt. "Who the hell are you," said Ethan, as he was trying to reach his watch. "I'm Shatter, the witch who is going to put you in your place, human," said Shatter. Just then a fireball was thrown at Shatter, the fireball came from Luz who used a fire glyph, as Shatter dropped Ethan, the boy turned the dial of his watch and slammed down on the center.
As the green light died down, in Ethan's place was a rocky humanoid with purple gems on its back. " Well, let's give this new guy a test run," said Ethan. as Shatter attacked, a beam of light came out of Ethan's hands as it hit Shatter. "Cool, hand lasers," said Ethan, just as Shatter fired his own energy beam, it looked as if the beam bounced off the alien, "Take this" said Ethan as he punched Shatter in his face. Knowing it he would lose either way Shatter started to run away. "Hey, get back here," said Ethan, as he chased after Shatter. But was too late Shatter had slipped away as he ran into a huge crowd, "Ethan," shouted Luz, as she was running after him. "He got away," said Ethan angrily, "Hey, we'll get him next time," said Luz. "What do you want to call this one, Ethan," asked Luz, Ethan then thought of a name, "Chromastone," said Ethan as he did a pose.
