Beneath The Waves

Chapter: 19

For a while nothing was imparted. Sam had joined them, physical and mentality. It had surprised Dean at Harmony's formulation, for she had been protective over their offspring. Sam and he wouldn't always be around, that was true. He would NOT push Dalton into this lifestyle, like Sam and he was. Deep down, Dean knew what path his miniature self would procure.

"Dad?" Dalton queried, to get Dean's attention.

Dean peeked at this youngster. He had to hold the tears from coming, but choke out the succeeding.

"Yes, son. I just don't want you to think you have do this...I-"

"I know. Dad?"

"Yes, Dalton?"

"I love you!"

"Love you, too."

Dean observed his boy and announced.

"Come on son. There is a special someone you need to meet."

"Who?" Dalton urged, as he followed his pop into the garage.

"This is Baby. She has been there from the beginning. She is also part of this family. Baby has been with your old man, uncle Sammy and your grandpa. And she may be yours, one day." Dean spoke, pleased.

"Oh, Dad! She's beautiful! So, we are taking her right?" Dalton challenged.

"That's my boy! Yes, we are." Dean exclaimed, while Sam slightly chuckled.

Dean walked to the trunk and opened it. Just as he remembered, everything was in its certain place. He would have to teach Dalton that, he smiled and before he closed the lid he cited.

"We got work to do."

Harmony had reentered the room with Dalton's items in a knapsack for the passage ahead. She put them in the leather lounge of the sedan's.

At this duration, Dean, Sam and Dalton had currently seated themselves in the Impala and had buckled in.

"Hello Baby! You ready? It's so nice to be back! The other Baby affirmed it was okay," Dean vocalized in a jest.

"Dean!" Harmony retorted and shook her noggin at him. She added, "Baby, keep them safe."

"Um...Mom? Is dad-Never mind," Dalton contemplated clamorously.

Dean clasped the keys that were in the ignition. Thereupon, he turned it and Baby thrum to subsistence.

"Oh, man! That sounds so good to my ears! Now son, there is a singular rule that your dad has. It is...Driver picks the music and shotgun shuts his cakehole. This is something your Uncle Sammy never could grasp on."

Of course, Dean was kidding. Dalton had liked his dad's music. As Dean told this he was in the process of putting a cassette in the player. Next, he twisted the knob. The song, 'Back in Black' by ACDC blasted through the speakers.

"Oh yeah!" Dean expressed and adjusted the volume a bit more.

Harmony bent to a lower position to kiss Dalton's cheek and then gave Dean a passionate smooch.

"Y'all be careful!" She disclosed and inserted. "Dalton, you listened to your father and uncle!"

"I will," Dalton riposted.

"We will," Sam countered.

"Yeah. I've heard that before," Harmony muttered and interpolated. "Just be cautious!"

"You know us," Dean remarked.

"Yeah, I know! That's why I said that." Harmony declared and giggled.

Dean beamed foolishly at Harmony and subsequently put the car in drive and took off, as he left the rumble to echo. Once they were gone, Harmony pressed the dial to secure the storage venue. When she glanced at the time it was, Harmony noticed she had missed a call.

Miles passed onward, Dean and Sam had explained some basic things to Dalton. He was taking in every word.

The sunshine bounced off Baby's clear coat, as it rendered her black paint to shine brightly. As they went the route, you could detect the sweet auditory.

Dalton had probed so many easy questions, some simple explained, while others were not. The junior Winchester had just asked another. Dean was in the vicinity to speak when his cell caught his attention. With one hand on the steering wheel, he answered the ring from Harmony.

"Everything okay? Or did we forget something?" Dean inquisitioned.

Dean began to worry, yet her tone made him relax.

"Everything is fine, Dean. You guys please come with no harm."

Dean sensed when something was bothering Harmony. In doing so, he requested.

"What's wrong, Harmony?"

Harmony ignored his acquirement.

'Did she see something on the files that I didn't?' Dean speculated.

"Something concerning the case that we should know about?" Dean beseeched.

Somehow, Harmony had become the female version of Bobby; stubborn, deterrent, research methods, etc. She was just much prettier than what their second father was. Harmony comprehended the Winchesters grieved for Bobby.

"No. This matter will be a breeze. It's just-" Harmony trailed off in a whisper.

"What?"

"If you wish to be here for the birth of your child. You-" Harmony paused, as she let her words sink in.

When he didn't utter anything, she verbalized.

"Dean, I'm pregnant!"

Dean understood what she meant the first interval she had mentioned it. He was just shocked and happy at the same juncture.

"Are you serious? Yes ma'am...Yes...That's wonderful...Yeah, I agree they should...Okay...Love you, too."

In further action, he hung up. Sam and Dalton only auscultated of what Dean voiced.

"What did Harmony say?" Sam quizzed.

"Ah, that!" Dalton grinned, eagerly and desirous.

"Sammy, our family is getting bigger." Dean replied, excited.

Sam's eyes grew wide, as he realized what the news was and implied.

"Congrats!"

"Thanks Uncle Sammy!" Dean jest.

"Hey, I don't mind being labeled an uncle," Sam indicated.

"I know you don't. Harmony already perceives what the sex of the baby is." Dean responded.

"How?" Sam exhorted, perplexed. "I thought she didn't-"

"She doesn't. Harmony consulted in that favor to the council that they own her. From all the hassle they created towards her."

"Wow! And?"

"A girl. A daughter," commented Dean.

"A baby sister. I'm curious to what she will be like," Dalton pondered, vociferously.

"Yeah, me too." Dean confessed, as he looked into the rear-view mirror at his lad.

"Hopefully, she will take after her mother," Sam admitted.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you eat and talk too much." Sam stated, while Dalton snickered.

"I promise that when she gets closer to her due date. I will stay there with her. To be by her side."

"We all will be," Sam included.

"And me," Dalton alleged.

"Let's finish this case and go home." Dean conveyed, and the fellows nodded in disposition.

The song, 'Burning for you" by Blue Oyster Colt' played in the background, as the Impala went farther down the highway.
