"Garrett's old news," Alice says, easing my concerns about my upcoming conversation with Bella. "I even had Jasper threaten him."
"That doesn't matter if he's who she wants." I turn into Mom's driveway.
"Oh, no." She laughs sarcastically. "He asked her for money."
"That rat bastard." I smack the wheel. "So she saw for herself?"
"Yeah," she says softly. "I'm pretty sure the videos of Masie are getting to her."
I sit up straighter. "Is that why she reached out? She wants to see her?"
"I can't be sure," Alice hedges. "But let me know after you talk."
