"There's no way Kensi could flip Sam," Callen said confidently with a shake of his head.

"Kensi can flip anyone," Deeks bragged on behalf of his partner.

Said partner was currently standing next to him and giving him a doubtful look.

"I don't know, Deeks..." she told him unsurely.

"Ha! I was right," Callen claimed. "The big guy is, well, too big."

Kensi snorted at that. It wasn't exactly a lie.

"Kensi's flipped bigger guys than Sam," Deeks maintained.

"Really?" Callen asked disbelievingly, shaking his head. "I don't think so."

"She has."

Both men turned to look expectantly at her. Kensi shrugged.

"I don't know," she replied. "I don't exactly weigh the guys I flip. Have definitely flipped a guy taller than Sam but he was a bean pole so I don't think he counts."

Callen and Deeks looked at each other before shaking their heads.

"Too light," Deeks agreed.

"Anyway, there's no way Kensi could. Sam's got too much muscle and Kensi's small."

"Hey!"

"Nah," Deeks denied, ignoring his partner's outraged expression and shaking his head. "The flip isn't about strength."

"Really?" Callen asked, amused. "What's it about then?"

Kensi shot him a warning look to head off potential claims of 'mystical ninja powers' but was too late.

"It's all about pivots and levers, isn't it?" He stated quite simply. "And counterbalance," he added after a moment of thought. "Kensi knows how to use all of that in her favour."

Kensi breathed an almost inaudible sigh of relief as Callen gave her partner an impressed look. That actually sounded intelligent. She shook her head at her partner, giving him a fond grin. He looked quite proud of himself.

"So, you're saying that Kensi's ability to kick ass is all physics?" Callen checked.

Deeks shrugged, "Well, technically everyone' is but yeah, definitely Kensi. Of course, she also has ninja-awesomeness on her side."

And there was general idiocy back. She frowned at him to show her disapproval, but not too much because, although she never admitted it, she quite liked being his ninja. She just disliked having something that took a lot of skill being explained away as 'mystical ninja powers'.

Callen rolled his eyes at Deeks' description. Deeks looked incredibly smug.

"It's not like just anyone can do what Kensi can do," he bragged.

Ok, he was back in her good books. It was nice that someone had so much confidence in her.

"It still doesn't mean she can flip Sam," Callen repeated, crossing his arms.

"Does so!"

Kensi wasn't entirely convinced herself. Sam is big.

"Kensi back me up here," Deeks demanded, swinging around to face her."

"Err-"

"You've got to believe in yourself," he said shaking her by the shoulders.

Ok, he was getting far too worked up about this. Kensi gave Callen a helpless look, who looked like he didn't know whether to be amused or exasperated. Kensi was leaning more towards the exasperated.

"Who needs to believe in themselves?" a new voice joined then.

"And, there's the man we want to see," Deeks announced, gesturing to the door to the locker rooms.

Sam emerged from it and stopped when he noticed his team all staring at him.

"What?" he asked suspiciously.

Deeks automatically put on his innocent look which definitely didn't help matters. Kensi just shook her head as Callen smirked.

"I have a feeling that I'd be better getting changed and heading back to the office," said Sam, heading towards them slowly a suspicious look on his face.

"Aw, don't be like that," said Deeks with a grin.

"You aren't helping matters."

"Why are you so suspicious?" Callen asked as Sam stood next to him.

Sam gave his partner an incredulous look.

"You and Deeks look like you're scheming something. I have every right to be suspicious."

"We're not scheming-"

"They're scheming," Kensi interrupted her partner.

Sam gave her a knowing look.

"We're not scheming," Callen explained patiently. "We just need you to settle something for us."

"Oh?"

"That doesn't sound too encouraging," Deeks muttered.

"It's not meant to be."

Deeks pulled a face at that response ad Kensi rolled her eyes at the pair of them. She elbowed her partner before he escalated to fully winding up Sam. He elbowed her backed which evolved into the bickering with each other as Callen and Sam ignored them.

"I'm not doing that!" Sam suddenly announced making Deeks and Kensi look up.

"Oh, come on, it's to prove a point," said Callen.

"Find yourself another guy."

"Where on earth are we going to find another large ex-Seal?"

"Please," Deeks joined in with the pleading.

"No!" Sam reiterated and looked over to Kensi. "What's your opinion?"

"Not my problem."

"Exactly! So, again, no."

"You're scared," Deeks taunted.

"What exactly am I meant to be scared of?"

"You're scared that Kensi will actually flip you."

"I'll flip you," Sam semi-seriously threatened. "You have a closer relationship with that mat."

"Nah, I think you should get acquainted with it," Deeks said hurriedly, shifting himself so that he was half behind Kensi.

Sam took a threatening step forward but Kensi stopped him.

"We may as well give it a shot or else we'll never here the end of it," she told him.

Sam sighed and rubbed his face.

"You're going to end up pulling something."

"I won't. I'm not going to be stupid about it," Kensi assured him.

Sam looked at her and then back at his partner.

"Oh, fine," he gave in. "Where do they need us?"

Hetty watched them square up, unseen from the doorway. Just in case some actual adult supervision was required.

She glanced at her watch and frowned; they'd have to hurry it up if they didn't want to stay past five to finishes their expense reports.

THUMP

"Ha! Told you she could do it!" Deeks triumphant tone echoed.
