Chapter 6: Collecting the Rubies

-On December 30, Retroville's time is 8:30 a.m.-

Jimmy, Goddard, Carl, and Sheen finished fixing up the Astro-car spaceship (Antares Z-Class Sedan with multi-warp stardrive and the optional cloaking device. It's from the episode: Win, Lose, and Kaboom!), and called Nick, Cindy, Libby, Gina, and Britney to the back of the clubhouse, ready to blast off into the universe. They all met in the back of Jimmy's clubhouse to hear what Jimmy had to say anything.

"All right, everyone," Jimmy said. "We're ready for our space trip to Pisces."

"Jimmy, are we still breathing in space without wearing these spacesuits or something?" Nick asked.

"Well, I'm glad you asked that," Jimmy replied. "The universe has enough oxygen level like our planet."

"I got it, dude!" Nick said at the reminder.

"Hey, Gina, are you going to take a space trip with us for the first time, right?" Sheen asked. "Are you excited for your new experience?"

"Yes, I am," Gina replied.

Recently, Jimmy's father (Hugh) and mother (Judy) walked outside the backyard, where they met Team Neutron.

"James Isaac Neutron! You'll get into trouble if you don't return here after 4:30 p.m.!" Judy declared before she calmed down. "You kids can go to take a trip into space, but you don't forget to return here before 4:30 p.m."

"Yes, sugar booger," Hugh agreeably said. "She's right what she said."

"Okay, I will," Jimmy nodded, respecting his parents.

"Hey, big sweetie, you look so gorgeous," Carl flirtatiously said as he walked towards Jimmy's mom, who tried not to cringe as he hugged Mrs. Neutron. "I'm glad to see you again."

"Huh?! Leave me alone!" Judy yelled as she pushed Carl off. "You're 15 and too young!"

"Stop flirting with my wife, you little jerk!" Hugh added. "And leave her alone, or I'll tell your parents!"

"I don't care! Screw you, Hugh!" Carl angrily glared as he raised his fist at Hugh. "I hate your fricking ducks!"

"Don't give me a darn attitude! You made a big mistake!" Hugh shouted.

"Listen to me, Carl! I think Jimmy's mother isn't a kid, so she has married," Cindy bluntly said. "She doesn't love you because you were annoying and flirting with her, causing she felt uncomfortable. You don't need to insult Jimmy's dad, or he will tell your parents."

"You heard that blonde girl, fat boy!" Hugh declared.

"Quit calling him a name, Hugh!" Judy yelled as she bonked Hugh on the upper arm. "That's not nice!"

"Oh, sorry," Hugh calmly said.

"Okay, everyone," Jimmy said. "Now, it's time to buckle up into the spaceship."

"Yes, captain!" everybody else said in unison. Then they got into the Astro-car spaceship and buckled up their seats, and Jimmy got into the driver's seat and set the coordinates.

"Are you all buckled up?" Jimmy requested.

"Yeah," everyone said.

"Good-bye, kids!" Hugh and Judy said as they waved goodbye at the ship. "Be safe and have fun."

Jimmy pressed the big red button on the control pad, they lifted off from the ground, and they were launched right into outer space. As soon as they left Earth's atmosphere, Jimmy turned on the autopilot and lectured his friends. "We're heading right to Pisces after the Oort Cloud about 2 hours. I placed the ping hoofer golf bag, frisbee, lunch box, and Purple Flurp or purified water bottles in my Hyper-Cube. Right, Goddard?"

"Bark, bark..." Goddard agreeably barked.

"Pisces?" Britney wondered. "What do you mean? Ohh, I've never heard that before."

"It's one of the planets around the blue-white star named Sirius, and it orbits Sirius in five years. It also completes one rotation every 30 hours," Jimmy explained. "It resembles the Earth's Moon as a rocky surface, but it has a sparsely cratered surface with smooth volcanic plains, mounds, and round pits formed by water geysers like Neptune's Moon, Triton. It seems pretty cold, but not too serious."

"Ohh, that's good to know," Britney clearly said. "How's so big of Sirius star?"

"It's about twice as massive as the Sun," Jimmy replied.

Momentarily, something came up on Jimmy's screen. It was an image of Brobot.

"Hi, Jimmy!" Brobot lyrically said from the Moon. "I've missed you! Wanna play a game? I can make moon castles! Wanna hear a song I wrote? I Love Jimmy! I love Jimmy! I love Jimmy!"

Jimmy then immediately turned off Brobot's video message.

Nick wordlessly thought, (Butch, Ike, Nathan, Tristan, and I are on the junior varsity men's basketball team. Cindy, Libby, Gina, Rose, and Amber are on the junior varsity women's basketball, so I guess Gina's boyfriend is on the varsity men's basketball team. My loving girlfriend, Britney, will join the cheerleading team next year.)

-In 12 minutes later-

All of a sudden, the spaceship's fuel tank started blinking on the screen. "Oh, no!"

"Jimmy, what's going on?" Carl asked.

"We're running out of the fuel," Jimmy replied.

"What do you propose we do?" Britney asked.

"I have an emergency, so we need to land on the asteroid belt, where it's big. It seems to have numerous aster rubies buried there, so we could use them to power the ship," Jimmy replied. Then he saw these things under the control panel. "Thank goodness! I found the ruby detector screen and these aluminum buckets behind the emergency."

"What?!" Sheen made a puzzled look. "We're gonna turn into Ruby Madness, which became ashes before we returned home!"

"Shut up, Ultra-dork!" Nick proclaimed as he elbowed Sheen on the upper arm.

"Sheen, don't be ridiculous!" Libby declared. "Look, we're all now teenagers. You're 17, so you must learn how to mature yourself."

"Calm down, Sheen!" Jimmy bluntly said. "We won't be turning being angry, so it's not similar last several years. I'm sure everything will be fine."

"Oh, my bad!" Sheen calmly said.

"Get ready to collect some rubies!" Jimmy said as he pointed to the lone asteroid. "It's here!"

"Whoo hoo!" Team Neutron cheered.

Jimmy turned off the autopilot, and Team Neutron safely landed right on the surface. They got off, ready to start their mining.

"All right, everyone," Jimmy said as he brought his detector screen and buckets. "Here we are! It's time to start mining to collect the rubies."

Goddard opened up his back, then everybody took out shovels and began following Jimmy, who was looking at the ruby detector screen.

Team Neutron spent more minutes attempting to find rubies, but there was nothing, not a single ruby.

"Sheen, what are you doing?!" Libby yelled as she saw Sheen talk himself like crazy. "How many times do I tell you?! Stop dreaming around like that, and get your butt to work now!"

"Oh, sorry," Sheen sighed. "My feet are getting a little hurt."

"J-Jimmy, I'm so tired," Carl panted his breath. "We haven't found anything yet."

"Yeah," Britney said. "What do you propose we do now? You should've brought a spare tank of fuel."

"Nerdtron, you're wasting our fricking time!" Cindy proclaimed. "Your mother said we must return to Retroville before 4:30 p.m., or you'll get in big trouble!"

"Please let me think of something. Come on, think, think, think... Brain Blast!" Jimmy suggested as he held the detector. "I have an idea! I guess these rubies have probably been found in the big crater. Come on, guys!"

Team Neutron ran right to some sort of place with a vast open space. Jimmy walked closer to the ground, and the readings on his scanner were off the scale, shaking like crazy.

"Puking Pluto!" Jimmy shocked. "Goddard! Activate drill!"

"Bark, bark!" Goddard barked as his back came out of a drill, and he dug a hole deep into the ground. Just then, these gems were shiny red rocks in all their glory.

"OH, MY GOD!" Jimmy happily exclaimed. "ASTER-RUBIES! GUYS, COME HERE!"

Team Neutron saw the glowing, red gems right in the hole. "WHOO! HOO!" They started the victory dance while Carl and Sheen approached the dancing duo.

"Everyone, we've found our fuel and future empire, so let's DIG!" Jimmy declared. "And collect the rubies into these buckets now!"

Team Neutron started digging in each hole for all the rubies. With these shovels, they could find anything. Approximately fifteen minutes later, they had gathered up three buckets of rubies.

"Here we are, guys," Jimmy said. "All the rubies we could find in the big crater. It's quite simple!"

"Yeah, I would be like Ultra-Lord in the galaxy!" Sheen wildly exclaimed.

"Awesome, Nerd Bomb!" Nick happily said. "I'm going to be the richest dude in the world!"

"I'll become a professional tennis player worldwide," Gina added.

"Yeah, eat your darn heart out, Osama bin Laden!" Cindy sarcastically said as she looked at the beautiful gems.

"We're going to have to use these wisely," Jimmy said. "We've only managed to get three buckets, so obviously we're gonna use one of the buckets for the fuel. We will have to save the rest for behind an emergency."

"That's good to know," Libby remarked.

Team Neutron walked back into the Astro-car spaceship while Jimmy and Cindy poured one of the remaining buckets of rubies into the fuel tank to fill up. They also buckled up their seats, and Jimmy got into the driver's seat and set the coordinates. The ship started up the engines and drove off to Pisces.

"It's completed, guys!" Jimmy said. "We're ready to go to Pisces right now. Right, Goddard?"

"Bark, bark!" Goddard happily barked.
