It was a nice sunny day in Brisbane.
Outside the school, Honey was on her way there.
Honey was driven by her mom to school. Honey was usually early like Jack and Lucky.
"Bye Mom!", Honey said to her.
"See you honeybun!", Her mom replied back before driving back.
After that, Honey decided to walk around for a bit. She was way too early as she couldn't see anyone familiar. That's why she wanted to roam around for a short while.
Although Honey thought she was by herself, she was wrong. In fact, someone else was there.
Honey roamed around the school for a few minutes later followed by footsteps following the beagle.
Unknown to the beagle, she was about to see something that was not clear at all, literally.
A random dog fully covered by a black jacket, hood, trousers and shoes, punched Honey in her glasses and her face.
Honey fell to the ground. And the worst part, because of the hard impact, her glasses shattered ; meant that it failed to help her blurry sight. Followed by that, the mysterious dog sped away from the injured beagle.
Thankfully, after a minute, Honey opened her eyes after passing out at that same time. She was squinting her eyes as her glasses was not on her face. Her vision was terrible without the pair of glasses. Honey crawled around to look for her glasses, not knowing that it was completely broken. She started to get confused on finding the pair of glasses.
Eventually, she managed to get on her two feet. But with her blurry sight, it was a challenge for the confused beagle.
Walking, however, was not as good. She either would bump on the wall, doors, lockers and lots more involving a single corridor to the entrance.
Despite that, she tries not to trip herself to the ground after hitting walls. At that time, Rusty, Jack and Lucky were at school, practicing footy or cricket. But they haven't noticed that Honey was having trouble to see.
Thankfully for the beagle, someone helpful was about to come.
Chloe was the fifth dog in her class to arrive at school after Honey, Rusty, Jack and Lucky.
After entering inside the school, she noticed Honey squinting her eyes. Immediately, she ran towards the struggling dog.
"Honey! Everything alright?", Chloe replied worriedly.
"Chloe? Is that you?", Honey responded.
"Yes! Its me!", the dalmatian answered.
"Help me please...", the beagle suggested.
"Where are your glasses?", Chloe questioned.
"I think, someone punched me and I fell to the ground and my glasses are gone...", Honey said to the concerned dalmatian.
Chloe searched the whole corridor only to see that Honey's glasses shattered.
"Honey! Over here!", Chloe responded to Honey.
"I'm coming!", Honey replied.
Due to Chloe's distance away from Honey, she had trouble trying to run straight. She ended up hitting a wall before maintaining herself to walk towards the dalmatian.
When Honey saw her broken glasses, she gasped in horror. Knowing that her mom will get upset and furious, she started to feel horrified.
"I'm so sorry Honey...", Chloe said, feeling bad.
Honey just stared down at it, later starting to tear up.
Chloe later hugged her to try and comfort her worried friend.
The bell rang after 35 minutes. Due to the fact that Honey still had messed up vision, Chloe holds her hand and brings her to class as assistance.
When Honey came to class without her glasses, every single one of her friends were shocked with confusion.
All the boys and girls looked at Honey, thinking: " Is she okay? Where is her glasses?"
Honey told everyone about her incident earlier.
This shocked everyone.
Calypso eventually heard this, and went to give a small test to Honey. It was an eye test.
She was given a list of letters and numbers becoming smaller every single time.
There were 8 different sizes ranging from biggest to smallest. She managed to get 5 sizes correct.
The three smallest sizes however were the hardest as for Honey's blurry eyesight, the letters almost look the same.
She started to struggle with writing answers from the whiteboard because even though she sits at the front, her weakness is her sight.
Luckily, Mackenzie was next to her. Though Mackenzie is just slightly less smart than Honey, he still decided to help her just to be a good friend.
And that paid off as she managed to answer most of the questions.
Every lesson was pretty doable for Honey because of the assistance of her friends in those periods, but when the first recess came, it became a problem.
After third period, the recess bell rang, which made everyone of her classmates going out of the classroom. Having trouble to get out of the classroom, she ended up hitting tables, chairs and walls. Calypso saw this, later looking inside her drawer.
"Here.", Calypso kindly said.
"What? Your glasses?", Honey questioned.
"This will help you. I know its not the best glasses I've worn but you can have it.", Calypso added.
"But miss, you use that pair every day...", Honey replied.
"No need to worry, I have a lot more pairs that I use.", Calypso calmly responded.
"Okay! Thank you Calypso!", Honey excitingly said.
"You're very welcome.", Calypso said.
After wearing it, the clear vision came back.
She was in joy. She cannot believe that her own teacher would give her own glasses to her.
When going outside, she felt more happier than ever. She can finally see directions, posters and doors.
Later, she went outside the school, where everyone is playing with each other.
She had never felt this happy before. She didn't care that her glasses were broken. She cared that she could finally see her friends and feel happy about the glasses she was wearing.
Although this was a good thing, she still has to be careful as one fall or even a few could shatter it again.
Later, Honey saw Chloe playing with Indy and Coco.
She ran towards them to tell them about the pair of glasses that she was wearing.
She was almost there, about to call them until, a random dog was also rushing somewhere else. But it was not random, instead it was the black hooded dog earlier ; the same one that broke her glasses. The hooded dog ran straight until its strange mind made it to run towards Honey followed by tackling her to the ground in full force.
This force made the glasses shatter again.
"OUCH!", Honey shouted in pain.
Chloe was shocked.
"Oy! What is your deal?", Chloe said to the hooded dog.
"My deal, is her deal.", The hooded dog said, immediately taking off the hood.
All the girls gasped in shock. It was Hercules.
"I was the one that broke her glasses.", Hercules said with no fear.
"Why did you do that?", Indy said, confused and angry.
"It is because she looks ugly with those glasses. I broke it because I wanted to. I was tired of Calypso being told on doing this, doing that, and knowing that I have free will on myself.", Hercules proudly said.
"I don't care if she's ugly. She's pretty and smart unlike you Hercules.", Coco said, confronting him.
"You want to fight?", Hercules said.
"Maybe I will!", Coco angrily said.
Indy came to stop Coco from doing something stupid to herself alongside Chloe helping Honey get up.
Eventually, a witness saw it. And that one got tired of Hercules' oppressing, eventually walking itself to Calypso's office.
On the other side of the field, Gruber, Snickers and Winton looked at Hercules with disgust. They don't really care about Hercules but they thought that the Saint Bernard was out of his mind on breaking the one thing that Honey uses to see.
Hercules was about to punch Indy's face until Calypso showed up.
"Hercules! What are you thinking?", Calypso said with anger.
Hercules felt embarrassed.
"You are going to my office for your actions.", Calypso said to the Saint Bernard.
"Okay.", Hercules said, guiltily.
"But how?", he continued.
"Me.", Mackenzie said.
"Mackenzie?!", Coco said, befuddled.
"Oh you absolute idiot!" Hercules angrily said.
"I swear, I will punch you until your teeth fall out and kick you in your legs so that you won't stand anymore!", Hercules said, feeling raged.
"Stop it Hercules.", Calypso responded, still furious but acting calm.
"Okay. You all got off easy.", Hercules replied, still angered.
Afterwards, Hercules was sent to the office where he got a 1 week suspension for the acts he'd done that day.
"Thank you so much Mackenzie!", Chloe said, happily and thankfully.
"Just helping out!", Mackenzie happily replied.
Honey got up, still having that blurry vision.
Later, he held up a pair of glasses for Honey. This made the beagle have a huge smile, hugging him as a sign of a thank you.
But how did Mackenzie call out Calypso?
Well, he was the same dog that got over Hercules' bullying and the one that went to Calypso's office.
When going to Calypso's office, Mackenzie told her that Hercules tackled Honey to the ground ; also adding the broken pair that Calypso gave Honey.
The way he knew is that he saw Calypso giving Honey her own pair of glasses.
So, due to Mackenzie's good vision, he witnessed everything from afar ; telling Calypso patiently and kindly about the ruckus happening.
Calypso was proud of him after that. She gave him the title, Student Of The Week. A title to the most behaved and kind student to others around them.
Calypso gave him another pair of glasses for Honey, which is followed by the border collie giving the pair to the beagle.
The aftermath is that Honey's mom was called by Calypso that Hercules broke her daughter's glasses. Honey was now wearing a pair of glasses, the same one that Mackenzie gave her.
This kind act by the border collie strengthened their bond and friendship between the two dogs.
