Chapter 35
Brooke was wrapped in his arms. The sheets and their bodies. Covered in light sweat. He had her the uncovered container of chocolate covered strawberries.
She smiled feeding him one then another.
"These are for you." Lucas said.
"I have everything i need. My husband. Our son."
"This new life growing inside me." Brooke replied.
Lucas ate another two before feeding her the rest.
"Speaking of this new baby. I'm going to be there."
"Doctors appointments. Ultrasounds. All of it."
"I missed out the first time around." Lucas reassured her.
"You promise?" Brooke asked.
"With all my heart." Lucas replied.

Returning home a number of days later. As a married couple felt different in every way for the couple.
That took them by surprise. They were The Scotts now.
United. In life and love.

Weeks later
I'm falling asleep at random times now. My breasts are tender. Frequient urination. My clothes are feeling tighter now. Morning sicknes. 9 weeks along.
But the uterine cramping which happens hit me when i was supposed to get up and take Bailey to school.
"I'll take him. You relax. Let the cramping pass before trying to do anything. Call or text me if it gets worse." Lucas insisted.
"My body is getting ready for the baby. I didn't experience this with Bailey but its normal."
"I won't need to call you. Let's meet for lunch." Brooke replied.
"We love you daddy." Brooke said.
Lucas leaned over and kissed her before getting out of bed to take Bailey to school.
