The light spirits have abandoned Hyrule, plunging it into an ever-lasting night. Zelda's husband says that the light was stolen away; he says that the Twili are to blame. But Midna? She calls him a liar; she calls the missing daylight a burning apocalypse upon her realm; and she calls upon Link to betray his comrades, his prince, his queen, and his kingdom. Slowburn Midlink.

Part 1 of my "TotK Aftermath Collection" - The fighting is over. Link has succeeded in granting Zelda's wish to see Ganondorf destroyed. Requested by DragonSlayerOfAwesomeness. Poor Link gets stuck after an exhibition between him, and Zelda go south. Zelda enlists some help, but things take a turn when the compromising position Link is now trapped in has everyone acting differently, the mission to help Link quickly turns to him being at the mercy of the ones who were supposed to help him. Must be 18 .

Link is a prodigy who can already, at 12 year old, defeat fully trained Knights in combat. That didn't mean anyone expected him to be the one Chosen by The Sword that Seals the Darkness.

If you suddenly died, and a Goddess offered you another chance at life in a different world, would you take it?

A love story interrupted by the calamity, possibly never to resume if Link's memory doesn't return. Part 1: Zelda's prayers at the Spring of Wisdom go unanswered, and she can't conceal her grief, frustration and despair. Link abandons protocol to try and comfort her, leading to an increasingly honest exchange that ends in a double confession.
