Job class quest area
Standing in front of the castle with his loyal shadow knight was Issei preparing himself for whatever challenges await him inside the castle. As he was standing there Issei could hear sounds coming from the forest around him. " I guess the quest has already started." said Issei as he and his knight turned to the forest to see multiple metal looking dogs coming out from the shadows of the trees. Seeing that there were about a dozen of the metal dogs, issei decided to use his observe skill to see what exactly they were.
name: metal hound level: 23 race: construct
These metal hounds are the lowest of golem types. They are usually used as a practice for people to make golems, but don't underestimate their usefulness. The more mana put into the golem the stronger their defense and attacks can be.
Weakness: lighting, thunder, rust
After seeing the info and that the hound had started to charge him, issei had a grin appear on his face as his armor covered his body. Pulling out his storm ruler and preparing himself to fight the metal beasts alongside his shadow knight who is holding his stance with his blade at the ready.
As the first metal hound made it to issei it jumped trying to pounce on issei but was stopped mid air by an invisible force, before being thrown at the other hounds. ' Players' hand are a great skill.' thought issei as he flashed forward slicing the thrown hound in half with his lighting blade. Turning around to see the other hounds, issei wasn't ready when two hounds jumped on top of him. As the hounds tried to bite issei one of them was pulled off by its tail by the shadow knight. Once off the knight stabbed its blade into the hounds back will issei who now only had to deal with one hound had stabbed the hound in the side with his emerald blade given that his storm ruler was holding the hounds mouth back.
Using his strength issei pushed the hound off him till he got to his feet and stabbed his storm ruler into the hound and slices outward, splitting the hound in half. Turning to his shadow knight, issei saw him fighting off 4 metal hounds with the body of the one he pulled off issei motionless at his feet. Hearing the remaining hounds coming at him, issei got a smirk on his face. Turning to face the hounds, issei activated his magic causing a static field to surround him and shock the hounds causing them to slow in their charge and for some of them to trip and fall to the ground. Seeing the downed hounds, issei took a stance and charged his storm ruler before sending out multiple lighting arcs at the remaining hounds that were charging him. Hitting one of them and causing it to fall to the ground in pieces. Unfortunately he missed the second one which managed to dodge his attacks and bite down on issei's leg.
Feeling the pain from the bite, issei gritted his teeth and summoned his ax from the band around his arm and slammed the ax into the head of the hound with an audible clang. Killing the hound issei saw the other hounds getting up and issei wanted to move on with this quest to get his job class, so aiming at the remaining hounds that were getting up and the ones attack the shadow knight, issei throw his ax and in a matter of seconds the ax completely destroyed the hounds before returning to his hand.
Taking deep breaths holding both his hells retriever and his storm ruler, issei looked around to see if any more would come or if anything else would come but to issei's surprise nothing came. Looking to his knight, issei saw the knight looking around still on guard. Seeing his health slowly going up, issei made his way to the castle with his knight following behind him. As the two made their way into the castle, Issei got a bad feeling.
Once the two were a couple feet into the castle, they heard a large clang and just a couple feet ahead with a bunch of torches lighting up. Once the whole area was alight by the torches, issei had his jaw to the ground. In Front of the two was an army of metal clad soldiers, some with longswords and shields and some with two handed greatswords. Hearing the sounds behind them, issei turned around to see that at the door they just came from was being blocked off by a massive pack of beasts. Issei used observe on them to see what the situation was looking like.
Name: knight race: human level: 24
A knight in the service of the ruler of the castle. Fitted with a full body metal plate set of armor with an ornate pattern on the chest of the armor that resembles a dragon's head, and a helmet that has a slit line right where the eyes were to see and a small set of horns on the front of the helmet. He is one of many that defend the castle against all intruders. Trained to wield a greatsword or a sword and shield combo. While not the strongest alone, together a group of knights can take on most enemies.
Weakness: fire, lightning
' So on one side is an army of knights ready to cut me and my shadow down, and on the other side." thought issei turning to the beasts standing at the castle entrance.
Name: gorhino race: beast level: 24
A beast fusion of a gorilla and a rhino, sharing a lot of characteristics with both creatures. It has the body of a gorilla with the skin of a rhino, its front arms are covered in fur up to the shoulders, its tail is long and prehensile, with a large body and a long head with a massive horn on the end. These creatures are great climbers and have incredible strength and speed for their size.
Weakness: fire
' and of course it has to be a mix of two strong and dangerous creatures, and there has to be a massive group of them. Tet i now understand why this quest is for a higher level person.' thought issei to himself.
" Well I did tell you, it was normally activated at level 40 but I had no idea it would be this." said tet.
Rolling his eyes, issei activated his buffs and readied himself for the fight of his life, with his knight holding his stance coiled like a spring ready pounce at the first enemy that moves against them. While standing there not knowing if he should charge one of the groups or if he should hold his ground, issei didn't know what to do or even if this would be possible to win. " ha issei!" yelled tet.
Nearly jumping as a reaction to the gods loud cry, issei answers the gods call. ' what? Can you see I am busy trying to come up with a plan to win this thing so I don't die?' said issei in his head with some venom in his tone.
" ha thought i should just let you know, that you never used your tree points to get a new skill." said tet with a cheerful tone. Issei just stood there with a blank look on his face, blinking before he completely mentally face palmed. ' How did I forget that?' thought issei to himself.
" i don't know but i suggest you try and get one before these enemies rip you apart." said tet.
' wow, thanks for the vote of confidence. But here's the thing, I don't think they will let me pick one.' thought issei was trying to come up with something, until he had an idea. With a grin on his face issei activated his new skill sending out a wave of killing intent.
Dragons fear has been activated and all enemies in range are frozen with fear for 5 seconds.
As soon as the skill activated issei opened his tree skill window and went straight to his stage three area and saw a unique set of skills.

Seeing the message in front of him issei didn't know how to feel but he did know that his skill was about to run out, so he quickly picked a skill hoping that it would help him in his situation.
Skill: sins blessing has been chosen. Spinning to see the sin you receive. Sin chosen. More sins can be earned every 20 levels for 20 tree points.
Skill: sins blessing- sin: Fox sin of greed- greed allows you to steal the power of your enemies and give it to yourself. As they become weaker you become stronger and faster. You can target multiple enemies and keep stealing power as long as you can handle it. Skill does not require mana to activate or use.
Seeing the skill he got, issei couldn't help but grin and turn to his knight with a plan but before he could he saw that his knight already knew what he needed to do. So without any words being said, issei dashed towards the gorhinos while the shadow knight went to take on his living counterparts. Dashing to the gorhinos with his Demonic scorpion blades, issei activated his new skill targeting as many of the gorhinos as he could before stealing their strength feeling the increase in power and the rush of all that strength.
Making it to his enemies and seeing how some of them were a little weakened from the skill, issei started slicing at the gorhinos dashing from one to another hitting as many of them as he can and as many times as he can to maximize the spread of the poison. As he was making his way through the group of gorhions issei was also having to dodge more and more attacks from the gorhinos. They were trying every to hit issei, from using their large arms and long tail to even trying to hit him with their horns.
As issei was attacking and dodging he could feel the strength he was getting from greed but he also felt the drain on his mana from his buffs and from the knight having to regenerate after each hit he takes. Being distracted by looking at his mana issei didn't see a massive arm coming from his blind spot and smack him away from the group of gorhinos and onto the floor. Picking himself up off the floor, Issei looked back at the group of gorhinos and saw some of them on the ground barely moving but there was still some standing that Issei didn't hit with his blades. Making it to his feet issei could still feel his skill pulling strength from the targeted gorhinos, which surprised him given that when he looked at the amount of strength he had gained was multiple times stronger than his normal strength and that the targeted gorhinos that hadn't been cut were on the ground and looked like shriveled husks of what they use to be. " So that's what happens when your strength is pulled out of you." said issei to himself with a little grimace on his face at the sight.
Hearing a noise to his side, issei turned to see his knight getting up off the ground after being hit away. Looking at the knights that hit him away issei could see that there were a couple dead on the ground with some having a lot of damage to their armor. Thinking that it was about time to change dancing partners, issei looked to his knight and gestured to the gorinos and turned to face the knights putting his demon blades away and pulled out his storm ruler and summoned the hell's retriever. Dashing to the knights hearing his shadow knight moving to fight the gorhinos, issei took aim at the knights and threw his ax, seeing it hit multiple knights. Before issei made it to the knights he activated his static magic and charged his storm ruler sending multiple lightning arcs at the group.
After making it the knights issei started to cut down knight after knight with his storm ruler all while constantly throwing his ax to maximize the amount of enemies he can kill. While cutting down the knights, issei could dodge and parry the attacks of the knight with no problem which was why when he went to dodge an attack he felt a massive amount of drain on his body causing him to get hit with the attack. Backing away from the knights, issei couldn't understand why he felt so weak all of the sudden and why he felt drained, that was until he felt the drain again and heard the cries of the gorhinos that the shadow knight was fighting. Looking at the gorhinos and the shadow knight, issei realized why he felt drained. Everytime his knight killed a gorhino that was targeted by greed all the power that issei took was taken away.
Looking back at the knights, issei targeted some knights with greed and felt the power come back to him so that he could continue fighting. With a grin on his face Issei charged back at the knights with his storm ruler and ax at the ready.
ORC club room
In the club room at kuoh academy rias gremory and her peerage minus akeno were sitting waiting for the black haired friend with the student council and sona sitri. As the two groups were waiting, sona looked at Rias who was sitting at her desk with a contemplated look on her face. " rias i hope you have a good reason for calling all of us here this early in the morning." said sona to rias getting her attention.
Rias was about to answer her friend but was stopped when a magic circle appeared with akeno stepping out of it catching the attention of everyone in the room, but before rias or anyone could say anything to akeno they all noticed her disheveled appearance and the bruises on her otherwise perfect face, with a weird looking blanket around her that she seemed to be death gripping to herself. " akeno are you ok? What happened?" said a majority of the people in the room with worried looks on their faces.
" im ok now, dont worry to much about me. As for why I look like this and why Rias called you here are both the same." said akeno as kiba directed her to the coach where he was seated, giving up his seat to the black haired girl.
After sitting down and everyone asking her multiple questions akeno finally started talking. " once i got home after our activities, i went about my normal activities and everything until later in the night when i heard a knock at my door. Once I made it to my door I didn't see anyone at my door, but there was someone at the top of the steps to the shrine and he was in very bad shape. So I brought him inside and helped him by healing his injuries but once I started I noticed that the cloak he had on started moving on its own and was using itself to hold one of his injuries closed and wouldn't move away from him. But once I got it away from him and started healing his most serious injuries I saw his other injuries closing themselves faster than any normal person should. A little later after i finished i heard him wake up so i went to talk to him, but i wasn't ready to see that all the wounds he had were completely healed even the ones i couldn't fully heal. Once i was in the room i started asking him some questions. I asked him if he knew anything about the supernatural and he told me that he knew i wasn't human, i also asked him if he had a sacred gear and he does have one but he wouldn't tell me what it is." said akeno catching her breath and allowing everyone in the room to process the information they just got.
" that doesn't exactly explain why you look like that and where that enchanted blanket came from." said sona pointing to the blanket.
" Wait, it's enchanted?" asked one of the student council.
" yes. I can sense the magic coming from it." said sona.
" Well after I questioned him, I let him leave like he wanted. After he left I was making my way to bed when I heard another knock on my door. So I went over thinking it was him again but before I could open the door I was forced to make a barrier in front of me because my front door exploded open. Once the dust cleared i saw five men in weird saint like clothes, who immediately knew i was half fallen, half devil. They attacked me with enchanted blades. I hurt some of them with my magic but the one that looked like the leader hit me with some type of spell causing me to lose all my power and strength. They did something to me to force my wings out and they were about to cut my wings off saying that they would be trophies that would get the rest of their group to come and kill us.'' Akeno was interrupted when she felt Rias's power flare up.
"THEY WHAT!?" yelled Rias in rage at the thought of someone hurting her best friend and members of her peerage.
" calm down rias. I understand that you are angry at these people, trust me so am i but I would like to hear the rest of what akeno has to say." said sona calming rias down.
" Please continue akeno." said sona.
" before they could cut off my wings though, the leader was lifted into the air by some invisible force and thrown into the wall with it collapsing on top of him. I heard a noise that sounded like a wolf's howl and in the doorway was a figure in all black armor that looked to be made of darkness with tendrils coming off of it. The four remaining men tried attacking him but he fought them off with little trouble. Next thing I know he has a flaming gauntlet on his right arm, which he used to burn one of the guys to ash and turn the metal of the blades into liquid before turning them into needles and launching them at him. Once the four men were dead he was about to help me when the leader came out of the rubble with a crazed look on his face and an evil aura coming off of him. Next thing I know he is in some kinda dragon armor and started to attack the shadow covered man, they went blow for blow but the shadow man was losing so i fired a magic attack after i felt the spell on me start to disappear. Once the attack hit him he turned to me and was talking about killing me again before in a flash of light the shadow man was in front of me with a sheathed katana and the crazed man was missing an arm. After the men went even more crazy he was killed by the shadow man and the help of another shadow in the form of a knight. He turned to me and took his helmet off and put this blanket around me, and when I looked it was the same person I healed earlier. He said that he was the person we have been looking for and that he would like to meet you at noon in two days." said akeno finishing her story leaving the room in silence.
Some of the people in the room were still angered at the people that attacked akeno and some were disturbed by how some of the men were killed. But both Rias and Sona were intrigued at this person, both wanting him in their peerage and wanting to talk to him. " rias, i know he said he wants to talk to you but i would like to meet this person given that they have been making quite the mess in the town." said sona.
" don't lie sona, you want him in your peerage just as much as I do." said Rias, teasing her friend who just looked away.
" akeno thank you for telling us this and i am sorry you had to go through all that. If you would like to stay in the club house while your house is being fixed you can." said rias to her queen.
" thank you rias. I think I will stay here." said akeno.
" good. Alright everyone we need to get ready to meet this person. We need to be ready for anything so get what you need ready for a fight if need be." said Rias to everyone in the room.
Back with issei
In the room, Issei was the last standing, taking deep breaths. There were bodies covering the floor, some missing limbs and some missing their heads, some with cuts, and others had cuts all over their bodies. Issei was breathing heavily and shaking. Looking at his health and mana, Issei was slightly frightened. He was at less than 100 hp and his mana was basically at zero and his shadow knight was gone after taking too much damage.
' holy shit, i will be honest i thought you were dead when your knight disappeared and your mana got low.' said tet.
" you know i would disagree, but i also thought i was going to die." said issei putting his storm ruler away and falling to the ground catching his breath.
' well you have gotten this far, i think you can make it the rest of the way ... .maybe.' said tet.
" not helping tet." said issei.
' ha i am just saying.' said tet.
" if you would like to say something, then tell me why after all of that i didn't level up or even get any exp?" asked issei.
' oh that's easy. The job class quest only gives you your job class, no exp.' said tet.
" sometimes i hate you and this sacred gear." said issei finally getting to his feet.
' you know i am in your head, and i can tell when you are lying.' said tet.
" i know, it's just me trying my best to get my mind off the fact i almost died again." said issei making his further into the castle while his health and mana slowly regenerate.
' Player, if i were you i would tell you to get to a safe place and wait a little so that your health and mana can fill back up.' said Tet with a serious tone.
" You know I think I will listen to you this time, cause I am starting to feel tired." said issei finding a safe looking spot and summoning a new shadow knight with his remaining mana to guard him. Seeing that the knight was ready to guard him, issei layed down and passed out almost instantly.
Hyoudou household
Sitting in issei's room was raynare laying on his bed not knowing what to do will issei was doing his quest. Raynare was hoping that she could go with issei on his quest not just to help him but also so she had something to do, because right now she had nothing to do but sit and wait for issei, given that with the last saints and the devils in town she couldn't just go out. The last saints would try and capture her on sight and she had no idea if the devils would be kind to her or not. While she was sitting there thinking to herself, a strange energy entered her field of senses causing Raynare to stop what she was doing and focus on the energy to see who it was.
Noticing that the energy is just outside the house and has a sense of darkness in it, Raynare had an idea of what gave off this kinda energy. ' a devil is watching the house. They must be looking for issei.' thought raynare.
Sitting on top of the nearby house, watching over the hyoudou house was a white haired girl in a khou academy school uniform. She was told to come to this house because her king wanted more information on a boy named issei hyoudou, the same person she and the others were just told of by her upperclassmen akeno. While she was watching the house she saw a beautiful black haired girl walk out of the house and walk away. " who was that? The report said he didn't have any siblings, and from the picture he didn't look that good to have a girlfriend like that. But not my concern right now, I need to try and find this guy so I can finally go back and help our new member." said the white haired devil.
" so whatcha looking at." said a voice next to the devil causing the white haired girl to jump back. Turning around the devil saw the black haired beauty she saw leave the house earlier. " wait how did you get here. How did you know I was here? How?" asked the devil.
" oh, that's easy. You weren't suppressing your presence so i could tell were you were very easily and as for getting up here you can probably guess." said raynare to the still frightened devil girl.
" Wait, you're the fallen angel, I heard you were here. Why are you here and what do you know about issei?" demanded the now braver devil in a fighting stance.
" sorry but thats for me and issei to know and for you and your king to figure out later." said raynare with a little bit of hotness in her voice.
" You are in our territory uninvited, and now you refuse to justify your reasoning here. so unfortunately you give me no choice but to bring you to my king and she can get the information from you." said the white haired devil, firing a blast of demonic power at raynare who dodged out of the way before making a red spear of light and dashed at the devil.
Swinging her spear, Raynare was aiming to just get the devil to run given that killing a devil before meeting them would be bad for issei, but for a weak looking devil she could pack a punch in those blasts she was firing. Dodging the swingings of the light spear the white haired devil was starting the sweat from all the dodging and from using her magic but the damage from the blast were starting to stack up on raynare but after taking a couple hits from the blasts raynare started to attack with more anger in here strikes, same landing and dealing a decent amount of damage to the white haired girl.
Realizing that the fight was not going her way, the white haired girl sprouted her wings and flew into the air still firing her magic at raynare. Seeing that she was trying to take the high ground, raynare sprouted her wings as well and dashed after the devil, throwing her light spear to distract the devil for a second. By the time the devil focused back on raynare, she had already made it to the devil and hit her across the face with a holy magic infused punch sending her falling to the ground.
Seeing the devil get up and charge up a large amount of magic, a lot more than she was firing before. Not willing to get hit by the attack, raynare made a light spear with a lot more power in it and readied herself to throw the spear until she noticed the house the devil was near and saw it was issei's house. Canceling the attack, Raynare tried to get the devil to stop but it was too late. Firing the over charged attack raynare did her best to dodge the attack but was still hit by the blast causing a decent amount of damage to be dealt to her, but she push through her pain and made her way to the devil who looked like she was barely standing, most likely from using all her magic.
Landing next to the devil, Raynare made a light spear and held it to the devil's neck before asking her a question. " Who sent you to get information on issei?" asked Raynare, not getting a response in front of the devil who was barely conscious.
Realizing she wasn't going to get any information from the devil, Raynare backed away a little taking a breath, hoping that issei's parents didn't get hurt or hear any of the attacks. After taking a moment, Raynare realized that after all the attacks and noise that she and the devil made, every person in the neighborhood should have heard them. Looking around raynare noticed that she couldn't sense anyone, not even issei's parents who should be less than 20 feet from her, that is also when raynare noticed that the sky had a red glow to it.
" Momo, it seems that you still have a lot to learn but I can't blame you. You havent been a devil for that long. Now as for you i will need you to come with me." said a feminine voice behind raynare.
Turning around raynare saw a young bespectacled woman with long straight black hair that extends all the way down to her knees, with split bangs and heterochromic eyes, with a violet left eye and a light brown right eye wearing the Kuoh Academy girls' school uniform, she also wears blue, semi-rimmed glasses with square lenses. Feeling the power coming from this new person, Raynare didn't think she could beat her in her state, but she refused to go with her, so she did the one thing she could and threw her light spear at the devil.
Before the spear hit the devil a mirror appeared in front of her and the spear was absorbed into it causing the mirror to break and the attack to be shot back at raynare causing her to take a massive amount of damage and to be knocked out. " guess you did better fighting her then it looked. Are you ok momo?" asked the baspectical devil.
The now named momo sat up and looked at the other devil. " I'm ok, thank you for helping vice president tsubaki. Sorry you had to make a barrier and help me beat the fallen angel." said momo, to the now named tsubaki.
" I have told you before. It's just tsubaki, and it is alright you are still learning and you are having to train our newest member. It is a lot. Now lets get her back to sona so that she can get some information from her." said tsubaki making a magic circle with momo grabbing raynare before they all teleported out and the barrier fell making it look like nothing ever happened and allowing the red sky to change back to its normal night time black.
With issei 12 hours later
Waking up from his little nap, issei got up from his place on the ground and stretched out his back hearing some pops and feeling the pains of his body leave him. Getting a message telling him that his health and his mana have been fully restored after his nap. " dang that felt good. How long was I out for?" asked Issei as he continued to stretch.
' you were asleep for about 12 hours.' said tet.
" 12 hours damn. And here I thought I would finish this place in that amount of time. Dang the meet up time with the devils is getting close, i need to finish this quest quickly." said issei to himself.
' yes, but more importantly i have an idea that should make this easier for you.' said tet.
" Well, let's hear it." said issei, walking over to where he could feel his shadow knight standing guard.
' well if i were you then you should use some of your skill points and maybe some stat points.' said tet.
" That's not a bad idea." said issei, making it to his knight who was standing with his sword planted into the ground and his hands on the hilt standing guard. Sitting down next to his knight issei pulled up his stat page and looked at his stats.

Looking at his stat issei saw that he had a decent amount of points he could use. He knew that he wouldn't be putting any points into his strength, vitality, and endurance given they grow a lot more than the others. Not knowing what he wanted to specialize in issei decided to make his intelligence, and his dexterity the same as the others and save the rest of the points. Opening his skill window issei saw that he had some more skills he could get.

" Hey tet, is this one of the things you were telling me about? That you were going to help me?" asked issei.
' ya, but i didn't think it would do this to the skills. I think me helping you is causing the sacred gear to mess up a little.' said tet.
" Well, I am not going to complain. These skills are awesome." said issei looking over what the skills do. After taking some time to think about what he wanted, Issei made his choice.
Skill: stage 4- heroes spirit, the world
Stage 3- doppelganger, bestial rage.
Skill: doppelganger (lv. 1): a twin or a double of yourself, with all the same stats as you. Cost half of your total mana. Disperse when health is reduced to zero or when the user deactivates the skill. If deactivated the remaining unused mana of the doppelganger is returned.
Skill: betsial rage (lv. 1): unleash the beast and fight like a berserker. When activated strength and endurance are doubled, and gain 10% resistance to all damage. Mana costs 100 to activate 50 per minute.
Skill: heroes spirit (lv. max) (passive): a hero is someone who pushes against adversity and fights for the weak. A hero will stand in a fight even when the cards are against them. When pushed to the edge, gain an increase in power to win even if there is no chance. Activates when health is below 20%. When activated damage resistance increased to 80%, attack power increased by 50%. Special action: hero strike- charge all remaining mana and power into your next attack gaining 250% boost to the attack.
Skill: the world (lv. 1): a power that many want but only few can accomplish. You use your power to take hold of the world itself and stop it. When activated, freeze time for 3 seconds. Mana cost 200 per use.
Even after reading what they could do, issei was still shock at the amount of power the skills gave him. He was most shocked at the ability to stop time, and as soon as he saw it he had a bad idea of using it to peep on girls, but was stopped by his partner. ' please don't use the sacred gear for perverted means.' said tet with a sigh.
" ha, sorry force of habit. But come on, even you have to like the female form right?" asked issei.
' while yes i agree that some women are attractive but i don't go out of my way to look at them in a state of undress.' said tet.
" oh, so there is a girl you like out there?" asked issei trying to find something he can use to mess with tet.

" Well, are you going to tell me who it is?" asked issei.
' no.' said tet.
" Well damn." said issei, deciding to look at more of his windows. Opening his magic window, issei saw he had some open magic slots for some of his grimoires.

" sweet i can get more magic." said issei, looking through his magic grimoires and looking at the spells he can get. Some were defensive and some were offensive, and some would just help, but issei didn't know what he wanted.
' ha player would you like me to pick some magic for you?' asked tet.
" what. Why?" asked Issei back.
' come on i promise i won't pick a bad spell.' said tet.
" No way i need to have the best spells so that i can beat the next opponent." said issei.
' and you think i will pick something that won't help you? Come on, I am here with you. If you die then i have to wait for who knows how long.' said tet.
After the two kept going back and forth for about 5 minutes, Issei finally conceded just to get Tet to stop asking, with Tet celebrating that he could finally do something. ' Finally yes. Ok now time to get picking.' said tet as he went through and picked out the new spells for his partner.
Lightning magic:
Spell: lightning spear (lv. 1): form a spear of lightning in the user's hand that can be thrown. Mana cost 100 per use.
Spell: lightning ball (lv. 1): using mana to form multiple balls of lightning that launch at your enemies. Mana cost 75 mana per ball.
Air magic:
Spell: air dash (lv. 1): using your mana to pull the air around you and push you in one direction, even when you are in mid air. Mana cost 50 per use.
buff/debuff magic:
Spell: curse of fatigue (lv. 1): by touching your opponent you rob them of their stamina and cause them to be tired. Effect lasts 1 minute. Mana cost 200 per use.
After seeing the spells that tet picked, issei didn't know what to think. On one hand the spells he got were not bad choices and he could understand the idea that he had behind his choices, but on the other hand he didn't want to admit that his partner was good at what he was doing. ' still inside your head, still can hear your thoughts.' said tet with a smirk.
" damn it, stop doing that." yelled issei. Being done with what he needed to do, issei got to his feet from his sitting position next to his shadow knight. Seeing his master move the knight grabbed his sword ready to move on to the next area he and issei would be going to.
Moving from the place he decided to sleep in, issei moved to the next room getting a bad feeling from it given that all he could see was two statues covered in copper colored armor. Issei continued to walk until he was hit by his senses telling him he was not alone in the room. Looking around issei couldn't find anyone until he heard the sound of metal moving. Turning to the statues, Issei was shocked when they started moving, but it shocked him even more when his senses told him that they weren't statues but really tall people wearing armor. " I swear I thought they were statues. They didn't move an inch and they are like 7 feet tall. That's not normal." said issei to no one.
Looking at the two armored enemies in front of him, issei couldn't help but marvel at the armor they were wearing. It was full body armor covering most of their bodies, with body armor sharing some similar features such as the rounded shoulder guards, full arm greaves and armored boots.
The differences tho set them apart, with one holding a large spear that seems to have tree like design with branch like protrusions in the shape of a pine tree growing smaller as they got closer to the tip of the spear, and its helmet that had the same branch like protrusions coming from the top the grow up and out like a tree, and finishing with a leather like cloth that flows down the front, back and sides of the armor from the waste down in four sections.
The other was wielding a sword and a shield, with the sword having a double bladed edge and a u shaped guard and a leather wrapped handle in the same color as the armor. The shield is a round oval shape with a large horn-like spike in the middle of the shield. Its helmet had three ax shaped protrusions coming from the side and back of the helmet, finishing its armor with a short back cape going down to its waist line.

After observing the knights, issei had a couple thoughts go through his head but there was one that was one repeat in his head. ' This was a bad idea, wasn't it?' asked Issei to no one.
' yes. Yes it was but i believe in you.' said tet.
" You know I know you are lying, but it's the thought that counts." said issei, preparing himself to fight the two crucible knights. Activating his buffs to give him the best chance at winning, and Pulling out his twin blades hoping to poison the knights to make them weaker, with his shadow knight already making his way to the knight holding the spear.
Making it halfway to the knight holding the sword and shield, issei was forced to dodge when the knight stomped the ground and stone-like spikes launched out of it at issei. Landing to the side of the attack, issei tried to attack but was stopped by the shield and was sent flying into a wall by the force of the shield pushing against him. Making it out of the wall issei had to dodge quickly again cause the knight had made a swing with his sword causing a massive gash to appear on the wall issei was just in. Once issei regained his footing after the attack he quickly made a lightning spear and threw it at the knight causing him to take a step back from the hit but not doing a lot of damage.
Dashing towards the knight issei activated his critical strike hoping to hit the knight but even with all of his buffs and the critical strike, the scorpion blades just deflected off the armor leaving issei open to the crucible knight who tried to cut issei in half. Using his air dash, issei barely dodged the sword slash which left a small cut to his shadow armor.
Putting his twin blades away issei holds his arm out to the side and the hell's retriever appeared and was quickly thrown at the knight who moved to the side a little to dodge it but wasn't ready for the ax to change direction and cut the knight on the shoulder braking through the armor. As the axe returned to issei's hand, the knight looked to his shoulder before looking at issei holding his sword up pointing at him. Holding the sword behind his back and over his head, the knight readied himself to attack. Issei seeing this pulled out his storm ruler but wasn't ready when his senses told him something was happening, looking back at the blade issei could see it was glowing gold with a holy aura coming off of it. Not wanting to give the knight a chance to attack, issei sheathed his storm ruler before flashing forward about to slice the knights arm off, but was stopped when the knight let go of his sword. it started spinning then was thrown at the ground in front of issei who stopped his attack and stepped back thinking the knight missed but was sadly mistaken when the sword hit the ground and multiple waves of holy energy came out from the epicenter of the swords impact, hitting issei and sent him to the ground from the multiple holy waves.
' Now that hurts. What kind of attack was that?' asked Issei to no one.
' that would be his weapon skill. Just like how your weapons have abilities, so can some enemies.' said tet.
" And here I thought I had the advantage with my weapons abilities." said issei getting back up off the ground trying to think of a plan that could defeat the crucible knight. Seeing the knight pull his blade out of the ground, issei's plan came to him. Dashing at the knight, issei put his storm ruler away before making it to the knight. Seeing that his opponent put his weapon away the crucible knight took the opportunity and made a massive downswing with his sword. Issei looked up at the blade and right before it hit him Issei said something. " the world." said issei with a smile on his face.
As time froze, Issei immediately started making multiple lightning balls all around the knight. As he made the fourth ball time resumed and the knights attack hit the ground with the knight being confused as to where his opponent went but his train of thought was cut off when four balls of lightning hit him from four different directions. As the balls of lightning hit the knight they all detonated at the same time making a decent sized explosion.
Looking over to his other knight he saw that he was holding his own but was still not dealing a lot of damage to the other knight. Knowing that he might need to help his knight, issei pulled out his hells retriever and said the command word to activate its special ability. " fetch me their souls." said issei throwing the axe to the ground causing a flaming portal to open and three hellish hounds come out of it. As the hounds turned to issei he looked to his shadow knight and commanded the hounds to help him, and without a second delay they all ran over to the shadow knight.
Hearing a noise coming from behind him issei turned around just in time to see the crucible knight he was fighting, blast out of the ground and into the air from the debris he made from his attack. Looking at the knight, Isei could see that he now had bright golden feathered wings holding him up. After about a second of him being in the air the knight pointed his sword at issei and dived towards him attempting to skewer him, but issei froze time once more making two more lightning balls in the knight's path before moving out of the way before time resumed.
Pulling out his storm ruler, Issei sheathed the blade and started charging his sword. As time resumed the knight ran head first into the two lightning balls causing his attack to be interrupted and for him to lose focus making his wings disappear falling to the ground. As the knight got up he looked over to see issei yell out a word and disappear in a flash of light and a clap of thunder, before feeling an enormous amount of pain coming from his right arm. Going to hold his arm the knight released why it hurt so much, he was missing his right arm from the shoulder down.
Appearing behind the knight, issei exhaled the breath he was holding. ' looks like it worked. For a second I didn't know if rikiri buffed by critical strike would be enough to cut through the armor.' thought issei talking to himself, not noticing the knight take a massive breath of air with flames coming from were his mouth would be under the helmet. ' But then again I did add one more just in case.' thought issei with a smirk, as the knight tried to breath out a massive wall of fire a secondary slice from issei sword cut right through his armored neck leaving the knights head to fall to the ground.
' Now that was cool. I didn't know you could target the second hit from the double impact skill.' said in issei's head.
" ya me neither, guess it just cut the next spot i would hit if i was to attack again." said issei turning to look at the other crucible knight but was sent flying into a wall by a vortex of holy energy that hit him.
" ow, that hurt. Like a lot." said issei with pain in his voice. Pulling himself out of the wall issei saw that two of his hellhounds were gone from the vortex that he was hit with. With the attack coming from the crucible knights spear, as she did it again with holy energy spinning around the tip of the spear before it was thrusted forward at the shadow knight sending the vortex into the wall behind him.
As issei made his way to help the shadow knight and the hellhound, the crucible knight grow the same golden wings as the other crucible knight and flew into the air, but unlike her sword wielding counterpart this crucible knight went falling straight down feet and spear tip first right on top of the last hellhound causing it to disappear in a flash of fire.
Feeling the band reappear around his arm, issei could see that the ax had returned to his stored appearance but the feather that was normally on it had disappeared but was slowly coming back from the ashes of the hounds in the air. Making it to the crucible knight issei activated his aspect of the wolf and made two wolf claws appear while also activating critical strike landing two good hit on the crucible knights back sending her forward were the shadow knight made a slice with his sword, but was blocked by the spear. Issei not wanting to give the knight space to breathe jumped on her back and had the mimic that was in the form of the cloth strip like cloak wrap around the knights head blinding the knight and keeping issei attached to the knight so that he could touch the knight and activate curse of fatigue, and to stab the knight in the back of the shoulder with his emerald blade.
As issei did this his shadow knight was about to swing at the crucible knight but stopped when the knight grabbed issei's leg and threw him at the shadow knight sending both of them a little ways back with the shadow knight catching issei. Before issei could thank the knight, he was thrown to the side hitting the floor as his shadow knight was skewered and sent flying by the crucible knight who had grown spikes on her shoulder and shoulder charged the two at great speeds.
Getting up off the ground issei looked at his knight as he disappeared into the shadows and left him the only one left to fight the crucible knight, who at this point looked like she could barely move. Issei seeing this looked to his mana to see that he had just enough for one more critical strike powered lightning blade. So taking a deep breath issei sheathed his storm ruler and charged the attack as the crucible knight turned and started charging the vortex attack around her spear, but before she could finish charging her attack issei flashed forward. As the spear hit the ground and the knight dropped to her knees, Issei felt the last of his mana go away and all of his buffs disappear.
" That fight hurt more than I thought. Now I just need another nap and I should be fine." said issei.
' damn and i thought you would have learned to manage your mana better by now.' said tet.
" ya wish i had my shadow knight to protect me but…." issei was interrupted by a noise approaching from behind a pair of massive double doors. As the doors opened, Issei was in a state of shock and panic. Issei saw a heavily armored knight riding on the back of some weird animal. The knight was wearing a full body black armor that resembles scales and a faceless helmet with a pair of horns that grow backwards and up, with 8 one handed curved blades in a circle floating behind him. The creature he was riding was a quadruped animal with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle with armor covering its front and side where the rider's legs were. With a heavy sigh issei used observe on the two.

Throughout time he has had many names but they have all but faded from history, only ever being known as champion. He is one of the greatest swordsmen, mastering the eight blade arts and wielding the eight blades of the templar. After fighting for many years the champion had fought every worthy opponent and won, leaving him at the top with no one left to defeat.

Name: demigryph level: 24 race: beast
A mythological creature that is a mix of a lion's body and an eagle's head that are incredibly strong and tough creatures. They are normally mounted as royal steeds or as a mount for strong fighters. To ride a demigryph you must fight and defeat it to earn its respect, but once you get their respect they will follow you to the ends of the earth and back..
Weakness: fire
" you have got to be kidding me. The final boss, now. No wait, no rest." said issei
' um player, i didn't think you are in the best situation. I am sorry to say but i don't think we are getting out of this.' said tet.
" for once i agree with you. But I will fight to the end." said issei with resolve in his chest.
' and i will be right here with you.' said tet.
" ha tet, seeing that we might not get out of this, i would like to know the goddess you would like to go on a date with." said issei trying to lighten the mood before the fight.
' only if you tell me your darkest fear.' said tet.
" Being alone." said issei with no hesitation.
' i like that. There are actually two I would want to date. Lady bastet, and la muerte.' said tet.
" I have no idea who they are but thank you for letting me know, I will put a good word in for you if I meet them in the afterlife. Now time to fight for my life." said issei trying to think of a plan to win.
Looking at the champion and his mount issei realized that the only things he could use were things that didn't need mana to activate. Taking a deep breath, Issei activated his boosted gear and his hellfire gauntlet, while pulling out his twin scorpion blades. Targeting the two in front of him issei also activated greed and he could feel the amount of power that the champion had, but he also saw that the stealing of power was doing little to the champion and the demigryph.
Feeling the increase from greed and the boosted gear issei dashed towards the two enemies, sending a blast of hellfire at them but the demigryph was faster and moved out of the way with the champion sending two swords towards issei. Seeing the two swords coming issei started to dodge them but was forced to focus on just the swords when they continued to swing at him with issei doing his best to dodge them. Even with the increase from the boosted gear, issei was having a hard time dodging until one of the blades hit him and that's when he realized he was in trouble.
Debuff activated: (vulnerability to slash)- increase damage taken by bladed weapons.
Seeing that he had a debuff, issei used his observe skill on the sword that hit him and the others that were behind the champion.
Swords of the champion class: A
The champion's swords are somewhat similar in appearance to scimitars: They have a curved handle and a blade that sweeps backwards, though the similarity stops there, as the champion's sword has a much darker color, contains sharper edges around the hilt, a serrated blade, and decorative etchings. It also has a darker blade part on the back of the main blade. Each blade holds a different ability to help the champion in his fights. Abilities activate when an enemy is hit with the blade.
Sword 1: blade of vulnerability- when used the enemy takes 50% more damage from any damage type chosen by the user.
Sword 2: blade of impediment- when used the enemies speed is reduced by 50%
Sword 3: blade of abolishment- when used the enemy is stripped of one of their positive perks.
Sword 4: blade of invigoration- when used the wielder heals from the damage done.
Sword 5: blade of wounding- when used the enemy takes continuous damage from the attack.
Sword 6: blade of the unholy- when used the enemy is held in place by their sins for 10 seconds.
Sword 7: blade of lost vision- when used the enemy will lose their eye site.
Sword 8: blade of the sacred seal- when used the enemy is sealed into the blade and is stuck in a pocket dimension until the user releases them. While in the sword the enemy can't use any of their powers and can't escape. To activate the blade it has to hit 8 times.
Moving away from the swords, Issei had to rethink his plan of attack. Feeling the increase from the next boost issei knows that he would at least have to get the champion off his mount to have a chance of catching him. Pulling out his demonic scorpion blades, issei ran towards the champion ready to continue their fight. As he was running issei saw that the champion was about to send his sword out to attack but issei had a plan. Calling on his hells retriever, issei targeted multiple spots on the champions body and through the ax forcing the champion to block with his swords as the ax continued to try and hit its target.
As the champion was distracted, issei was able to get right on top of the champion and his mount dodging the beck of the demigryph as he slid under the creature and between its leg slicing at its stomach and legs with the scorpion blades poisoning the demigryph. Making it to the other side of the creature issei tried to attack the champion but was stopped by one of the blades before being kicked away by the demigryph. As issei was kicked away he sent out a fire ball from his hellfire gauntlet at the demigryph hitting its back leg causing it to cry out.
As issei landed, he caught his ax and looked at the champion and his mount only to see the demigryph limping and barely able to hold up the champion who seeing this proceeded to get off of his mount and check on the demigryph, who after the burn the cuts, having its power stolen, and the poison wasn't looking too good. Turning to face issei, the champion grabbed two of his swords and started to walk towards issei leaving the demigryph. Issei couldn't see his eyes but he could tell that the champion was not happy. Pulling out his storm ruler once again issei started running towards the champion feeling the next boost hit him while throwing fireballs at the champion who just batted them away.
Making it to the champion feeling the next boost hit, issei started to attack him but the champion was able to dodge and parry all of issei's attack until issei hit one of his swords away with his storm ruler and looked like he was trying to punch the champion in the shoulder, but before the punch landed issei activated his emerald blade causing a obsidian colored blade to come from his right arm and stab into the champions shoulder. Feeling the hit land issei was happy that he finally hit him but was forced away when the champion almost cut his head off and three swords impaled into the ground were issei was standing.
Landing a little ways away from the champion issei got a sense of danger and dodged to the side barely missing the stomp from the demigryph that had limped his way to where issei was. Not wanting to have to worry about the demigryph any more issei ran over to the creature, who tried to bite him but missed and had a massive slash appear on its side causing it to fall to the ground looking up at issei before looking to the champion. Placing his hellfire gauntlet on the demigryph, issei turned the creature to ash in a blast of fire.
After killing the demigryph, issei turned to the champion but had to block an attack from six swords at once with his storm ruler and his emerald blade sending him into a wall. As he was getting up, Issei saw the champion kneel down and take a handful of ashes from where the demigryph was and grasp them tightly. As the champion dropped the ashes, issei got a bad feeling that he did something wrong. Issei's thoughts were answered when in a blink of an eye the champion was charging issei with two swords in his hands and the other six flying towards issei.
As issei was dodging and parrying as many swords as possible he was trying to think of something. Blocking multiple strikes from the champion, Issei had thought of something, feeling the boost hit him issei blasted a fog of hellish ash in the area around him, causing the champion to swing a miss allowing issei to put his right hand on to the champions stomach and activate the hellfire gauntlet, trying to burn the champion to ash.
Notice, the opponent is unaffected by attack due to being too strong.
' you have got to be kidding me.' thought issei as he was backhanded away, and cut along his leg causing him to be affected by the blade of impediment, and having his speed reduced. Getting up issei stopped one of the swords that were thrown at him which gave him an idea. Activating his hellfire gauntlet and emerald blade, issei melted the blade and formed as many rings of metal as possible, managing to make six out of the emerald blade. Waiting for the right timing, Issei dodged another two swords but as they passed him he sent the rings at the sword, sticking to them and forcing them to the ground where the metal hardened and trapped the swords.
Seeing that his plan worked, issei made his way to the champion, trapping two more swords before making it to the champion. Re Engaging in a swordsmanship test, issei was doing his best, but was relying heavily on the power his boosts were giving him. But getting another boost, Issei managed to knock one of the swords out of the champion's hands and trap it to the ground like the others. Seeing the champion grab his other sword and send the last one fly towards him, issei trapped it at his feet before crossing blades with the champion who had managed to get cut a handful of times but also managed to cut issei a couple of times, changing his vulnerability from slash to pierce and back, but the one that scared issei was when the other sword hit him and didn't give him a debuff but a counter, which at this point was up to six.
As issei was fighting the champion getting cut and getting his own cuts in, he realized that if the second sword cut him two more times, he would be sealed inside the sword. so issei used his hells retriever and the hellfire gauntlet to make a massive flaming ax hit a sword out of the champions hand sending it flying but left issei wide open to a downward slash that caught issei's arm as he tried to move away, causing the counter to go up. Seeing the counter and where his health was issei started to feel the pressure and the dread build up. But before the champion could make another step towards issei, there were two sounds that made issei's eyes widen and his hope to rise. " boost!"
Boosted gear ability unlocked.
After achieving a certain number of boosts, the sacred gear has awakened its next ability.
Abilitie : dragon shock.
Dragon shot (lv.1): this is the signature attack of the boosted gear, it can only be used once a certain number of boosts is active. Current boosts needed 10. When used it condenses all the stored up energy from the boosted gear into a small pinot before firing it at the target. Once used it drains the boosted gear of its used boosts.
Reading the window issei got a little happy before he was interrupted by a sword that almost cut his head off. Blocking the sword with his storm ruler issei tried to get away from the champion but was unsuccessful in his attempts. Blasting another wall of hellfire from his gauntlet, issei tried to attack while the champion was distracted but was knocked away by a massive swing of the champions sword, sending issei to the ground and implanting his storm ruler into the wall behind him.
Getting to his feet issei decided to make one final attack, activating his dragon shot holding out his left hand with the boosted gear opened wide forming a small red ball in the center of his palm. As issei was forming his dragon shot, the champion dashed towards him with his sword at the ready to cut issei down. Making it within a couple feet of issei the champion raised his sword as high as he could before swinging it down with all the power he had, will issei was focusing on putting all his power into his dragon shot feeling the boosts leave him and enter the shot. As the blade came down within inches of making contact, issei pulled his left arm back forming a fist and punched the dragon shot with all his strength straight at the champion's chest causing a massive explosion to happen right on top of the two forming a cloud of dust.
After the shockwave of the explosion cleared, the room was silent. As the dust cleared a shadow could be seen with issei in a forward punch stance with his left fist inches away from the champion's stomach. The champion on the other hand had his sword right on top of issei's head with a couple of issei's hairs falling after being cut. Neither of them were moving until a massive thud hit the ground. Looking over issei saw the sword the champion was holding laying on the ground, and as he looked back to the champion he could see right where his dragon shot was fired, there was a massive hole straight through the champion's stomach. Taking a step to the side, Issei watched as the champion fell to the ground lifeless as a massive weight was taken off issei's shoulders.
' dang kid. I thought for a second there you were a goner, then you come and pull something like this out of left field. Well done.' praised tet.
Issei, being too tired to even talk, just held a thumbs up before falling on his back taking deep breaths, while he watched the sacred gear finish its calculations. As issei was laying on the ground, he could feel his body slowly healing and his mana slowly fill back up. Hearing Tet talk in his head about how he thought he was going to die, and how he should completely forget about the goddesses he likes, that was until he heard a ping from his window.

Looking over the classes he got, issei was surprised that there weren't more classes but guessed that his fighting style would change if he had classes not focused on how he fought. Reading over the classes and what they did, issei had an idea with two of his classes. Issei wanted to have classes that would help him and allowed him to do what he wanted, so Issei picked the classes that were the closest to his favorite character type from his favorite video games.

Job class: king of war- you have fought and won many battles against stronger opponents and have come out better then when you started. You have walked the road of war and have earned the respect of those you have fought, and what is a king without his army.
Job class skills:
Call to arms (lv. 1): your loyal army will follow you to the ends of the earth. You can store your loyal soldiers with this skill and call them out whenever you need them. When in use your soldiers can be hurt but never killed, when they take too much damage they return back to you and can be recalled using some of your mana to fix them immediately. Soldiers able to be stored ( 0/13). Number of soldiers is equal to your intelligence stat multiplied by 0.25 and rounded down.
Ashes of war (lv. 1): this is what remains after a battle. Be it from a small skirmish to a field covered in bodies, the only thing that remains is the ashes of those that have fallen. But with this you can gather those ashes and give them purpose. When used you call a pawn those that have died and bring them back under your rule. Odds of a successful attempt based on intelligence and skill level. The longer a target is dead the harder it is to bring them back, and the stronger the will of the target is to stay dead the harder it is to bring them back. Attempts per target 3, if you fail three tries then the target is no longer able to be brought back and is lost to the realms of the dead.
From one to another (lv. 1): as a master teaches the student, sometimes the student teaches the master. Just as a king can teach his soldiers, so can a soldier teach his king. Allows the user to learn the skills of his soldiers and to teach said soldiers some of their own skills. The user must train with his soldiers to have the skill active, once activated the user and the soldiers training have a set chance of learning each other's skills and abilities if their body can use said skills or abilities.
After hearing his skills and knowing what he needed to do issei got to his feet feeling happy that he can finally be a necromancer and have an army of his own. ' You know out of all the job classes I didn't think this would be the one you would pick,' said tet.
" Well I have always wanted to command my own army, and now I can." said Issei, stopping right next to the down body of the champion. As issei went to activate his skill a message came up.
An ability has been found that gives you a summon, would you like to sacrifice the ability for a permanent soldier.

Seeing the message and knowing that it would give him a permanent soldier that he can call, issei decided to sacrifice the ability and once he did he saw that it was removed from the text of the shadow beast armor. Next thing issei knew a massive ball of darkness arose from the ground and formed a rather large knight that was kneeling in front of him. The large knight was covered from head to toe in pitch black armor with a Y-shaped hole built into his helmet. He also wore a tattered black cape, wielded a massive black sword that was equal to him in height, and had a long red hair-like ornament extending out of the back of his helmet.

Looking at the window and at the knight, issei had to think of a good name for his first soldier. That was until he heard his partner say something in his head. ' ha player, i have a name you can use. It's the name a previous user used for one of his most powerful and loyal servants.' said tet. With issei agreeing to hear the name, and after hearing the name issei thought it was perfect.

With a smile on his face issei turns to the other bodies in the room and the ones outside, issei uses the skill to target them all before activating the ability on the fallen in the area. After a minute or two issei was standing in the room he just fought the champion and the two crucible knights with his shadow knight igris standing to his side, and a small army in front of him. Kneeling in front of him were four knights and four gorhinos, with the two crucible knights in front of them standing with their heads bowed, and the demigryph down on the ground between them.

As issei was standing there, he wasn't expecting the human soldiers to say something. " ALL HAIL THE KING!" said the human soldiers with the creatures each making their own noises. " They can talk, but I thought they were like reanimations." said issei to tet.
' it could be that the skill actually brings them back from the dead in a perfect state instead of like a zombie.' said tet.
As the two were talking, Issei wasn't expecting igris to talk to him. " my king." said igris getting issei's attention, with issei not expecting for igris's voice to be as deep and soothing as it was.
" Yes igris?" said issei.
" It would seem that one of your soldiers wishes to talk to you." said igris pointing to the champion who was right behind igris kneeling on the ground with his eight swords floating behind him.
" What would you like to talk about?" asked issei.
" My king, it is my name that I wish to talk to you about." said the champion.
" your name. I remember reading that you had many names before you were known as the champion. What is your name if you don't mind me asking." said issei.
" That is the problem my king. It has been so long that i have forgotten my own name and the names that i have gotten over the years are but words. I wish for you to give me a name. A name worthy enough to be bestowed a pawn one of your soldiers." asked the champion.
" a name. You wish for me to give you a name." said issei.
" Yes, my king." said the champion, bowing even lower than before.
" Alright, I will give you a name." said issei thinking of a name for the champion. As issei was thinking about a possible name for the champion, one name jumped at him.
" I got one. From here on you will serve me as my champion. You will be known as Tamiel the champion of war." said issei seeing the name of the champion change and for him to thank issei for the name.
" Thank you my king, I shall wear it with pride and honor." said Tamiel, with the demigryph walking over to him and nudging its beak against his arm.

After naming his soldier, issei was teleported out of the room and back to the real world right where he had been before he left. As issei commanded the soldiers back to him, he noticed igris had stayed out. " igris why won't you return?" asked issei.
" my king, if it is ok with you I would like to remain in your shadow as I did before you gained your job class. This way if something happens I can appear immediately and don't have to wait for you to summon me." said igris.
With issei agreeing, igris disappeared into issei's shadow before he made his way back home. As issei arrived back home where he noticed that his parents were asleep, which did not surprise him given the time, he was however surprised that he couldn't sense raynare anywhere. Pushing his senses out more issei noticed a faint magical residue in the air outside his house.
As issei made it to the spot where the residue was he couldn't see anything. Calling out his hells retriever issei, used the key phrase and summoned his hellhounds and commanded them to smell out the area, with igris coming out of his shadow to help and see if there were any other signs around. After about 5 minutes of the hellhounds searching and of igris looking around, issei learned that there was some type of battle that happened, from igris who told him that he could sense the magical residue of light magic similar to that of raynares and a dark type of magic from two others. Issei also learned two other things, one that his hellhounds could talk, which scared issei from how deep and monsterous they sounded, and that two devils were here and that they had raynares scent going with them.
Hearing this issei had a bad feeling and an even worse idea. In issei's head he could think of multiple different situations that could have happened, with one being very prevalent in his thoughts. That one of the devils was spying on his family and raynare happened to be taken away given she was a fallen angel. With this train of thought issei started to think of what they may do to raynare, be that from kill her for being a fallen angel or try and torture her for information about himself, either way it made issei mad.
" Hounds, igris find Raynare and bring her back here. Let no one see you, and if a devil stops you, only use non lethal force. Got it." said issei, with the hounds and igris nodding their heads before disappearing to look for raynare.
As issei was left on the roof of a building he looked down at his phone seeing that his meeting with the devils was in a couple hours. " better get some sleep and be ready for anything." said issei to himself as he made his way inside his house and to bed.
