Chapter 9:The Search for the Boogeyman
Back at Hotel Transylvania, the whole hotel had gone silent and dark… the only sound that could be heard, was a sad song being played by the mariachi band…
"Oh, here he comes, Count Croncula, I'm just glad my eyes are still shut, cause I don't even wanna…" The Voodoo doll head said in disappointment, before Dracula silenced it, as well as gently knocking on Mavis's bedroom door.
"Mavis, Honey, are you in there?" Dracula asked softly, before opening the door, only to find Mavis wasn't there… but her bedroom window was wide open… "Mavis? MAVIS! MAVIS, WHERE ARE YOU?! MAVIS!"
Dracula transformed into his bat form and flew out the window, flying upwards, looking around for Mavis, worried she'd gone looking for Michael… until she saw her, sitting on the roof. Dracula flew down to her, transformed back to vampire form, and sat by her… there were a few seconds of silence, before Mavis spoke, breaking the silence…
"Dad, can you do me a favor?" Mavis asked sadly.
"Yes, yes, of course darling, anything." Dracula replied, willing to do anything to make his daughter happy…
"Will you erase my mind?" Mavis asked again, still in a sad tone, as Dracula felt so guilty and upset, from what he had just been asked…
"No, no, no, no, no, I won't do that, there's too much I want you to remember…" Dracula replied, declining what his daughter asked him, before Mavis cried more…
"You were right dad… the humans hate us…" Mavis cried…
"Sweetheart, there are so many eligible monsters out there, you're so young…" Dracula explained, as Mavis cried even more, before he noticed a book in Mavis's arms… "What is it? What are you reading?"
Mavis handed her father what she was reading, it was her 118th Birthday present from her mother: True Love by Mom, it read on the first page: For your 118th Birthday.
"Two lonely bats, Crashed in the night. They Felt a Zing, Love at first sight. They knew right then; they would be Husband & Wife. For a Zing only happens once in your life. Your Zing will come my love. Cherish it. Love Mommy." Martha's voice narrated, as Dracula read each page, beginning to realise his mistakes…
"I thought we Zinged Dad…" Mavis said in sadness still.
"You and Michael?" Dracula gasped, as he started to see more of his mistakes.
"I guess it was only me… but you should be happy dad… There's no reason for me to leave… I have no more dreams… I'm just like you now…" Mavis sadly said on, before flying down to her room…
As Dracula sat by himself, the wind started to blow away something else with Mavis's book, Dracula quickly caught it, before looking at it. It was the postcard, from his and Martha's honeymoon in Hawaii, all those years ago…
"Martha, what have I done?" Dracula said to himself, now fully realizing the number of mistakes he'd done, just as the sun began to rise… but now he had 2 missions: 1. To make amends with everyone. 2. Find Michael, and bring him home...

In the lobby, everyone was preparing to checkout and leave, while expressing their anger and frustrations from everything, from the amounts they paid for the weekend, to Dracula's lies, Leaving the Zombie Bellhops to deal with the angry guests.
"Where was this mini-bar charge?" Wayne wondered.
"Honey, the kids threw the minibar out the window." Wanda explained, as the pups trashed the lobby phone and lamp…
"And that's our fault?" Wayne asked on confusion.
"No." Wanda replied.
"Excuse me, Pardon, yes, Excuse me, I've got a couple of people to Express mail!" Murray said sternly, as he placed a couple of large, wrapped parcels, containing Frank & Eunice.
"Friends, please stop." Dracula begged his friends.
"It's Too Late, Rat-Bat!" Murray Replied sternly.
"Please, I'm begging you, I need your help to find Michael…" Dracula begged again, this time for help in finding Michael.
"The Human?! He could have Killed us!" Wayne Replied sternly too.
"He Touched my guitar!" Murray added in.
"He put his hand, in my mouth, to see if it would disappear!" Griffin added too.
"He let me eat the Radio!" The Gremlin lady added in once more, as everyone gasped.
"I know I lied, I was wrong, but you have to believe this: Michael wasn't a bad guy… The truth is, I don't even know if humans are bad anymore…" Dracula explained desperately, as everyone looked at each other, thinking what if Humans weren't evil, they were all kind beings, just like all of them… Unbeknown to anyone, Mavis was listening… "Frank, Come on Buddy, you understand…"
"He's not talking to you! First you tell us humans are bad, now they're good, What else? Up is down, Cold is hot, Gremlins don't smell!" Eunice said sternly, while packaged up.
"HEY!" a Gremlin said in an insulted tone.
"I really liked Michael, Boogeyman or no, He told fun stories." Frank said, as he unboxed his head in his hand…
"I think… They Zinged…" Dracula replied in guilt, as everyone gasped again…
"They Zinged?" Wayne & Wanda gasped.
"But I got in the way…" Dracula replied in guilt again.
"You only Zing once in your life…" Frank cried, as he began to short circuit…
"Oi, now you're short circuiting…" Eunice said, as she unboxed her head in her hand too.
"I don't Care!" Frank cried again, as he kept getting electrocuted.
"Well, what are we doing? Let's get Michael, come on!" Griffin asked, calling out that they now had to find Michael, and bring him back to Mavis, causing Dracula to give a big Smile…
"Do you really mean it Dad?" Mavis said, as she flew in, before transforming into her vampire form.
"Mavy? How much of this did you hear?" Dracula asked his daughter in concern.
"I heard all of it dad, I was listening when you mentioned Michael." Mavis explained.
"Honey, I always thought the worst would be seeing you go… But the worst, is seeing you unhappy, Mavy, I want you to live your life, even with or with someone like Michael…" Dracula said, determined to make amends and make his daughter happy again.
"You're gonna go and find Michael? Then I'm coming too." Mavis said, determined to find her beloved Boogeyman… Dracula wasn't so sure at first, but knowing how much Michael meant to his daughter, he complied with her…
"Then let's go find the Boogeyman honey, Your Boogeyman." Dracula accepted, as he, Mavis, Wayne, Frank, Murray, and Griffin dashed for the hearse car, as everyone cheered, as well as Frank bouncing to onto some lice, saying they should have honeymooned at their parent's house…
(Meanwhile…)
Michael began to regain consciousness, as his eyes began slowly opening, and he began breathing heavily. As Michael regained full consciousness, he could see he was being moved on stretcher, to some unknown location, he tried to sit up, but he had been strapped down onto the stretcher, unable to break free, as he noticed several people who were transporting his stretcher, were Doctors and Nurses, wearing strangely coloured black & Red uniforms, more like a cult of some sort… but their cult like uniforms, all had a familiar symbol to Michael, one that Michael also had tattooed on his right hand wrist…Michael tried again desperately to break free, but it was no use…
Soon, they stopped, before raising Michael's stretcher upward and forward, To Michael's horror, he was face to face with the one person he had hoped never to see again: Dr Terence Wynn…
"Hello again, Michael…" Wynn said with a sinister smile on his face.
Michael didn't respond, he just stared blankly at Wynn, though deep inside, Michael was horrified to see him again, and could feel his rage boiling inside, as well as the voices, urging him get free and kill him…
"Still the same, even after the last 17 years, not a word to heard from you… Take him to the cells, prepare him for the experiment, make sure he has no chance of escape, and keep extra surveillance on Dr Sartain! I don't want him letting Michael free again!" Wynn commanded.
"Yes Dr Wynn." One of the doctors replied, as they all took Michael to a cell, before they could prepare for their experiment… but whatever this experiment was, Michael knew it wasn't anything good…
(Meanwhile…)
Dracula, Mavis, Wayne, Frank, Murray & Griffin, were quickly driving through the forest, following footsteps left behind by Michael, after he left the hotel…
"Ok, ok, where am I going?" Griffin asked, as he was at the wheel of Dracula's hearse…
"The Human world, before Michael's gone forever." Dracula replied, while he and Mavis kept a lookout for Michael, worried he may have been heading for a nearby airport or something…
"But what about the sun?" Murray asked in worry, as the sun was becoming clearer through the dark clouds…
"I don't know, we'll just have to, roll…" Dracula replied again, determined to find Michael, no matter the cost…
"He just rolls, Rollability…" Wayne added in…
"We follow his boot prints, when they run out, that's where you come in Wayne…" Dracula said, still looking out for Michael.
"Me?" Wayne asked in confusion.
"Dad, Look there!" Mavis pointed out.
Griffin stopped the hearse, as Dracula and Mavis got out to see what she saw… it was Michael's mask, laying in the grass… Mavis quickly picked up, worried now, with the feeling something bad had happened to Michael...
"Dad, I'm worried now, what if something's happened to Michael…" Mavis said in strong worry, as Dracula took the mask, and sniffed it…
"Yowch! That Stinks! Work your magic…" Dracula Said with disgust, before holding the mask towards Wayne, as he walked over…
"What, you want me to track the smell? No, no, no, my sniffing tracking days are way behind me. Do you know how many dippers that I've changed? How many number 2s have destroyed this thing? But…" Wayne declined, but then silently whistled…
In seconds, Wayne's pups came rushing towards them, before they kept on play fighting, and scaring anyone in the hearse…
"Sit! Smell! I said Smell!" Wayne ordered, as he held Michael's mask out to them… but the pups kept on play fighting, apart from 2 of them, who started sniffing his backside… "Not me, The Mask! The Mask!"
"Do any of your kids still respect you?" Dracula asked sarcastically…
"Hmm, give me a second… Oh Yeah, Winnie, Front & Center!" Wayne called out, as the pups paused, while his infant daughter, wearing a pink skull and crossbones shirt, with a dummy in her mouth walked over, as her brothers kept on play fighting… Winnie then spat out her dummy, before strongly inhaling the scent from Michael's Mask…
"Michael was walking to the open woods of the forest… he was then surrounded by armed humans, who shot him multiple times with tranquilizer darts, until he fell unconscious… he was then loaded into a truck, which drove through town, to an asylum, located at the ruins of Castle Lubov…" Winnie detailed, as she sniffed Michael's mask…
"He's been taken to the ruins of our old home?! Why are the humans doing to or with him over there?" Dracula asked in shock and confusion, knowing that where Michael was, was where Martha died all those years ago, but neither he or Mavis, or even Wayne could understand why…
"Cell A2201, He's just sitting there doing nothing…" Winnie said more, as she sniffed Michael's mask more…
"Ok, Thank you Winnie." Mavis thanked the young werewolf.
"Now, all of you, go back to your mother!" Dracula ordered, as the pups quickly left, before he, Mavis and Wayne got back into the hearse, and drove on, as the sun rose even more… "SHEEP!"
Griffin quickly veered off the road, just missing a single lone sheep, before stumbling through trees and bushes, before getting back onto some more road, as Murray nearly fell out of the hearse, as Frank pulled him back in…
"Whoa, High five! Don't leave me hanging…" Griffin said sarcastically…
"OH, LOTS OF SHEEP!" Murray called in shock and worry, as Griffin slammed on the breaks, before many sheep, blocking the road…
"I got this one…" Wayne said, as he quickly got out the hearse, and scoffed & gobbled up all the sheep, in 3 seconds, as Dracula, Mavis, Frank, Murray and Griffin's faces all dropped, before Wayne got back in the hearse, and gave a large belch over griffin…
The Road was now clear, as Drac, Mavis, Frank, Murray, and Griffin, gave a satisfied Wayne, an unsatisfied look…
"What? Now there's no sheep in the road, let go." Wayne said, trying to get the hearse on the move again…
"That was pretty sick, man…" Murray said unamused, as everyone looked back at the road…
"You eat Lamb chops, It's the same thing! We don't have time for this, come on, Let's move it!" Wayne crossed his arms in disappointment, not being able to defend his opinion on his actions, as they drove off, still in search for Michael…
(Meanwhile…)
Michael was handcuffed to a chair, in a dark cell, with light from a barred window, shining a small amount of light through... Michael just sat in the chair, doing nothing… but instead of staring at the wall, like he used to back at Smith's Grove, he was facing the wall, only his eyes were closed…
"Mavis… I'm sorry…" Michael whispered quietly to himself, as tears formed in his eyes, and slowly dribbled down his face…
Michael then heard a strange noise behind him, but it wasn't the door opening… it sounded like the sound that Dracula or Mavis made, when transforming between Vampire and Bat form… Michael recognized the sound, but he couldn't understand, surely Dracula or Mavis couldn't have found him this quickly, or at all, they surely couldn't have known he was here…
"Michael Myers…" A female voice said his name softly… but it wasn't Mavis's voice…
Michael noticed a dark female figure from the corner of his eye, as he slowly turned his head to his right, to see who it was… the figure then walked slowly towards the light… not directly into the light, but Michael then saw the mysterious woman's face… Michael's eyes widened, as he recognized the woman's face… who's skin was vampire pale, with blue eyes, Black hair, and matching black lips…
"Martha?!" Michael gasped, as he recognized the woman whose legend he knew of, that he'd later learnt was Dracula's deceased wife, Mavis's Deceased Mother, killed by humans… Was Somehow... Still Alive!
