A.n I own Nothing

Connor walked slowly up the forest path; he had waited a few minutes for his brand to heal him a bit before setting off after Zoro. His body was in a lot of pain from fighting the swordsman and he had to use a stick to support himself as he walked. Since Zoro had gotten his memories back Connor knew the rest of the crew must be back to normal as well.

The walk up to the Temple of the Sea God was slow and painful but Connor eventually found the open area outside the temple, he looked around for the rest of the crew but he did not see them.

"I guess there in there," Connor said to himself as he looked at the entrance to the temple.

He entered the temple walking slowly through its dark corridors until it opened up into the main chamber. There lying all spread out across the chamber floor was the rest of the straw hat crew.

Connor instantly forgot about his pain and ran over to Luffy.

"Luffy...Luffy wake up," Connor urged, as he shook the captain.

"Hmm..." Luffy moaned and opened his eyes.

Connor breathed a sigh of relief as Luffy sat up.

"Huh...who's Luffy...who are you...who am I?" Luffy asked.

Connor started at the rubber captain in shock. He then went over to the others and quickly brought them round only to have them ask the same questions.

"Huh...who are you kid?" Sanji asked.

"Do you know him?" Zoro asked Nami "come to think of it...do you know who I am?"

Nami shook her head in response.

"Gahh...why am I all fury?" Chopper freaked out.

Connor looked between all the members of the crew in shock and he immediately figured out what had happened.

"Oh no...have you lost all your memories this time?" Connor asked.

"Memories...what are memories?" Robin asked.

"Forget Memories...what is that?" Usopp yelled and pointed to the roof of the cave.

Connor and the crew looked up to see the sea horse flute floating in the air near the ceiling and lowered itself not far above ground. However it was now very fat and bloated, like a giant balloon; it made some noises and Connor looked at Chopper.

"Hey what's he saying?" Connor asked.

"Huh...um...He says it's too late, I have taken all of their memories," Chopper responded.

The sea horse mad some more noises.

"And that now I have, I shall fly with the Dragons,"

"The Dragons?" Connor asked confused.

"I saw them a thousand years ago, I wanted to fly with them but I lacked the power to do so. So I started stealing memories and now I can fly I will find them again," Chopper translated "I don't need this Island or any of you anymore,"

"Don't think I'll let you get away with my friends memories," Connor yelled.

He drew his sword and charged directly at the sea horse and jumped in the air, however the sea horse levitated just out of reach, once Connor landed the sea horse lowered itself back to where it was and Connor jumped up again.

this repeated a few times, Connor would jump as high as he could and wiggle his sword around in an attempt to reach the sea horse while would levitate upwards just out of his reach and laugh at the boys failed attempts to reach it.

"Ha Ha Ha, your pathetic. I don't even know why I considered you a threat, you can't do anything," Chopper translated for the sea horse as it laughed.

Connor stopped jumping and looked down.

"Your right...I can't do anything on my own," Connor agreed softly.

He then looked over at the crew.

"They're always looking after me, protecting me..."

Connor then turned back to look at the sea house with fierce determination in his eyes.

"So now...it's my turn to protect them," Connor declared fiercely "I don't care how long it takes...I will get those memories back!"

Connor threw his sword at the seahorse, spinning through the air. The sea horse moved out of the way and the blade passed by it harmlessly...and slicing through one of the lager stalagmites on the ceiling and embedding itself in the wall.

"You missed," Chopper translated just before the stalagmite above the seahorse and landed directly on the seahorse fat body, crushing it.

As soon as it hit the ground blue smoke came out, some surrounded the crew while the rest flew off out of the temple and the sea horse reverted back to its normal size.

The crew all blinked and looked around in confusion as there memories returned. Once they all had there memories back the crew surrounded the trapped Sea horse.

"No...No my precious memories," Chopper translated for the sea horse "You'll pay for this you brat,"

As he said that Connors sword fell out of the ceiling and dropped on the hilt hit the Sea Horses head and bounced off it landing not far away from Connor leaving a large bump where it had hit the flute.

The sea horse started fuming and making angry noises.

"What's he saying?" Usopp asked.

"I uhh...would rather not say," Chopper admitted.

"Why not?"

"It's...not very appropriate for mixed or younger company," Chopper claimed.

Luffy walked up to the fallen Stalagmite and pushed it off, grabbed the sea hose flute by the head and headed out of the temple. The sea horse struggled and flayed around in the rubber captains grip demanding to released. The rest of the crew followed and Sanji carried the bag of gold, once everyone was outside Luffy walked over to the edge of the cliff and faced the open ocean; he brought the sea horse up to his face and looked directly into its eyes.

"You want to meet the dragons..." Luffy said in an angry tone.

The sea horse began to sweat out of fear for the rubber pirate.

"You need memories to do it..." he continued and he stretched his arm as far back as it would go.

"THEN GO MAKE YOUR OWN AND DON'T STEAL OURS!" Luffy yelled angrily and he threw the sea horse into the shy and it disappeared with a small twinkle.

Nami walked up and stood next to Luffy.

"Was that wise? You do realise that he's likely to try the same thing again on another Island," Nami pointed out.

"If he survives the treaties sea king infested waters of the grand line," Robin commented.

"I think I liked it better when I forgot how morbid you can be," Usopp said.

Connor smiled, he was glad Robin was back to normal.

"It'll be fine," Luffy smiled.

He then looked at Nami.

"So...still want to leave?" he asked.

"Are you kidding? We haven't even hit the half way point yet. There is still so much out here to explore, so much more to see," Nami claimed passionately.

"Yeah plus we haven't found a musician yet," Luffy cheered.

"So much more treasure to steal," Nami declared with Beli signs in her eyes "I won't stop till all the treasure in the grand line is mine,"

"What about your world map?" Zoro asked.

"I can multitask," Nami responded casually "speaking of gold...lets go get a reward from this village,"

"Why would they give us a reward?" Chopper asked.

"Well we did solve their memory problem," Nami reminded.

"Actually that was Connor," Sanji pointed out.

"True but since we are a crew, that means his success and victory is all of our success and victory...along with any spoils and rewards along the way," Nami claimed.

"So does that mean all the treasure you steal is not just yours but everyone's as well?" Zoro asked.

Nami punched Zoro in the head...hard leaving the swordsman lying on the ground twitching.

"LIKE HELL IT IS!" she screamed.

"AGHHH...ZORO!" Chopper yelled and instantly got to work on treating Zoro.

Luffy just laughed, he was glad his crew was back to normal. Once Zoro was up again the crew started to head back down the forest path and Zoro was grumbling about Nami. As they were walking back down the path they heard a lot of footsteps heading there direction and a few seconds later the whole village was blocking their way and all of them had some kind of make shift weapons.

Drim was at the front.

"Hey it's that kid again," Usopp said.

"That's them...there the ones who took our memories," Dirm claimed and pointed at the crew before any of the crew could react.

"U-oh," Nami said as she knew what was coming next.

"They took our memories," one villager said.

"I think we should run," Usopp said.

The rest of the crew nodded in agreement and they quickly fled into the forest.

"Dirty pirates...get them," the villagers cried "Don't let them escape,"

The Straw Hats ran down hill through the forest away from the angry mob that was chasing them all the way back to the Merry and once on board Nami quickly got them out to sea.

Since all the Island boats had been destroyed and they did not have cannons or long raged guns the Straw Hats were able to get away pretty easily. Once they were a fair distance away from the island they relaxed.

"Why can't we go to an Island where we're not chased around and have to make a quick getaway?" Usopp whined.

"It wouldn't be fun if we did that," Luffy laughed.

"You and I have very different ideas of fun," Usopp commented.

"Hey Connor...that was a great move you did that back there," Sanji said "Dropping that stalagmite on the sea horse was really smart Idea,"

"Uh...yeah...I meant to do that," Connor claimed sheepishly. He really did not want to tell the others that he was actually aiming for the Sea hours but missed.

"I'm just glad that whole ordeal is over everything is back to normal," Usopp groaned.

"Me two, I wouldn't want to have you as my captain," Nami agreed.

"You're the one who stole all the gold," Usopp shot back.

"It's not stealing if it's already mine," Nami claimed.

The crew continued to joke about what had happened and all apologised to each other of their actions and any hurtful things they said while they had amnesia. They also thanked and praised both Robin and Connor for stepping up and finding the source of the problem...though Connor claimed it was Robin who deserved all the praise as she figured everything out.

Connor watched the crew and Robin came over to him, he looked up at her questionly and she gave him a nod and gentle push towards Luffy. Connor knew exactly what Robin was trying to tell him and he walked up over to Luffy.

"Umm Luffy...Robins...Robins been teaching me how to read and write...I just thought you should know," Connor confessed.

Luffy looked down at the boy and blinked a few times.

"Okay," Luffy said with a smile.

"Huh...that's it...you're not mad or anything?" Connor asked in surprise.

"Hmm...nope,"

"But why not?"

"Well Zoro is teaching you how to use a sword and Sanji is teaching you cooking right? So how is Robin teaching you to read and write any different,"

"I also plan on doing maths and history later, once he has the hang of things," Robin added in.

"But that's skills that will make me more useful...I'm not supposed to get an education," Connor reminded him.

"Do you want to stop?" Luffy asked.

"Of course not but..."

"Then there is no issue," Luffy said, looked over to Sanji "Sanji food, losing my memory makes me hungry,"

"Everything makes you hungry," Sanji muttered as he walked towards the kitchen. He called for Connor to help him and the boy followed the cook into the kitchen.

"You didn't tell him that you and the others already knew," Robin said "or that I had told you all my plan to teach him,"

"Nah, he doesn't need to know that. He's becoming more confidant on his own and starting to make his own decisions...I don't want to ruin that,"

"I'm more impressed that he was able to hold his own against me as long as he did," Zoro said "I think I'm going to take his training to the next step...once he gets the hang of precision first,"

"He'll get there," Robin assured.

"I know...hey how's he going in his lessons with you?" Zoro asked curiously.

"I think Connor will rapidly improve now that he's told you. Before he was very worried about how you would all react to him learning and that was holding him back," Robin claimed.

"Really...why didn't you say anything?" Zoro asked.

"I encouraged him to tell you sooner, but he wasn't ready. But now that he has I believe it will be easier for him," Robin said.

"Let's hope so," Luffy agreed.
