A.n I own Nothing

CP9 glared down at the Straw Hats for there declaration of war, the Straw Hats matched the assassins glare with their own unwavering one all was quiet for a moment and the only thing that could be heard was the battle that the Franky Family and Galley-La workers were waging in the Courthouse. The silence was broken when the closed Draw Bridge was started to lower.
"Looks like they did it," Zoro commented.
"Yes, once it's lowered we will go back down and save Robin," Luffy declared.
"Um...then why did we come up here?" Chopper asked, "I mean wouldn't it have been easier to lower the drawbridge ourselves and then go across?"
The rest of the crew turned to look at Chopper.
"We would have been on the same level and it would have saved a lot of time in the long run," the Doctor pointed out.
"You know he has a point, also by us being here we wasted the element of surprise," Sanji agreed.
"They knew we were here anyway," Zoro claimed.
"But they wouldn't have known we got this far," Nami thought "If we had not come up here CP9 may have thought we would still be in town or the courthouse. We could have got the drop on them,"
"No that's wrong, we're Pirates and Pirates need a dramatic entrance," Luffy claimed "Right Sogeking?"
"Ehm yes that is correct," Sokeking agreed "It is the same for us heroes,"
"AH, YOUR RIGHT!" Chopper cried out "HOW COULD I NOT HAVE KNOWN!"
"Chopper still makes a good point, we now have to get back down again," Connor stated.
"Don't worry about it, I have a plan for that," Luffy smiled.
Connor frowned, it was common knowledge amongst the crew that Luffy's plans were always bad ones and ended in disaster.
On the Tower of Justice
Franky looked down at the Straw Hats for a second and he stood up and covertly opened his chest and pulled something out.
"Oi Spandam," Franky called out, getting CP9's attention. He held up an old-looking manuscript that was bearly holding together "Looking for this?"
"Is that...Is that the BluePrints?" Spandam gasped.
"Yep, these are the legendary blueprints to Pluton," Franky confirmed.
"Are they real?" Spandam asked in awe.
Franky grinned and he lifted the pages up and let them fall slowly, giving a glimpse of what was inside. Kaku and Lucci's' eyes narrowed.
"Kaku, Lucci. You two can tell that these are real, can't you?" Franky asked.
"Yes, we can," Kaku responded "unlike the ones Iceberg hid, that is the real blueprints we spent 5yrs trying to find,"
"So they're real? Give them to me right now," Spandam demanded "those are mine; they belong to me and the government,"
Franky gave Spandam a disappointed look.
"Do you even know why these blueprints were made?" Franky asked, "Do any of you know what the original creators had intended for it?"
"Who cares they are long dead and they didn't know what they were doing in the first place," Spandam said "Hurry up and give me what's mine. I deserve those Blueprints,"
Franky, however, did not move, his gaze shifted to look at Robin.
"Nico Robin, it's true you possess both the knowledge and ability to revive the ancient weapons and if you do this world would need something of equal power to rival them. For this alone you are an incredibly dangerous woman," Franky stated "However...I do not believe you are a bad person,"
"On the way to this shithole the government calls an Island, I got to know some of your Nakama and while I fully believe we should have a countermeasure for the ancient weapons...I do not believe that you ever intend to revive them," Franky continued "That being said...I'm going to take a gamble,"
"What are you babbling on about? Give me what's mine you buffoon,"
"Spandam, the ancient weapons are not meant for you or this world. If they were to fall into your hands this world will be completely and utterly destroyed by your own stupidly," Franky said "So to make sure that doesn't happen I'm going to do this,"
Franky flipped the Blueprints around, he took a breath and blew out fire from his mouth. The old blueprints ignited and caught flame immediately and began to burn.
"NOOOOO!" Spandam cried out and he ran over to Franky. Franky dropped the burning blueprints and by the time Spandam reached them, they crumbled to nothing in his hands.
"You...What have you done you, moron?!" Spandam shouted "You've destroyed one of the three ancient weapons,"
"Our five-year mission...gone up in flames," Kelifa stated.
"To think after all this time, you kept those on you in person," Kaku stated.
"Iceberg gave them to me the day I returned. He knew the government would come to take them. Since I was also Toms apprentice and thought to be dead I was the perfect hiding place," Franky explained "Iceberg didn't know I kept them on me if he did he would've never let me keep them,"
"CP9, here's my gamble. Should you escape here with Nico Robin in tow you will have the power to revive two out of three of the ancient weapons and there will be nothing to stand in your way and the world will be destroyed," Franky said seriously "however if the Straw Hats here reach you, defeat all of CP9 and save their comrade before you escape then you will end up with nothing but your own humiliation,"
Franky then glanced over at the Courthouse.
"Personly my money is on the Straw Hats," Franky grinned.
"You fool...you destroyed your only bargaining chip, the only thing that could have secured your life and now you're betting the future on a bunch of pirates?" Kalifa asked angerly.
"Yeah I am," Franky responded "and seeing you not only outwitted by me for five years and then beaten down by some low-rank pirate group will be my prize,"
"You won't be getting anything," Spandam shouted. He ran up to Franky and gave him a hard shove.
Franky was not expecting it and he was pushed off the Balcony.
"You gambled your life away so all you will gain is death," Spandam declared as he watched Franky fall.
The crew stared up in shock as Franky fell from the Tower of Justice towards the waterfall. They weren't sure what happened but whatever Franky did had pissed off Spandam enough to push him to his doom.
"He's falling," Nami cried out "Luffy quick, grab him,"
"I can't, he's too far away," Luffy responded.
Suddenly a strange muffled noise was herd. It was loud enough to be heard over the sounds of the battle below but also soft enough to be muffled and make it unidentifiable.
"What's that noise?" Sogeking asked.
Luffy listened, he heard crashing, screaming and finally a very loud and very identifiable train whistle. A large smile formed on his face.
"Sanji hold onto Connor tightly," Luffy ordered with a grin.
Sanji looked at Luffy strangely.
"Why?" he asked.
He got his answer because a second later Luffy stretched out both his arms. One arm grabbed Nami's hip and the other wrapped around Choppers waist. It did not take a genius to figure out what Luffy was about to do; Connor instantly launched onto Sanji's leg wrapping both his arms and legs around the cook and held on tightly.
"Alright let's go save Robin," Luffy declared and he jumped off the battlement taking his whole crew with him. All but Luffy screamed the whole way down.
"NOOOOOOOOO NOT AGAIN!" Connor screamed in fear as he held onto Sanji's leg for dear life "I HATE FALLING FROM HIGH PLACES!"
As they were falling Rocket Man burst out of the Courthouse and using the half-drawn Draw Bridge as a ramp it flew into the air. The Straw Hats landed on it and a moment later so did Franky. Rocketman was going at an incredible speed that it was taking all of the crews' strength to hold on and not be blown off. The train crossed the gap between the Courthouse and crashed into one of the lower windows in the Tower of Justice.
Spandam's jaw dropped, the Straw Hat Pirates had made it to the Tower of Justice.
"Quick we need to go, Lucci, you come with me. The rest of you deal with the Straw Hats," Spandam ordered "Kill them,"
He grabbed Robins arm and dragged her away with him, Lucci silently followed and the rest of the CP9 agents headed inside to confront the Straw Hats.
Once they were gone Ezio came out of hiding, he looked down at the hole Rocket Man had created and burst out laughing.
"HA HA HA HA Oh these Pirates sure are something," He laughed "to invade this Island, declare war on the world government and literally cause a train wreck inside the Tower of Justice itself,"
He took a few deep breathes to calm down; once he did he looked down at the roof beneath his feet.
"Soldiers are flooding into the Courthouse, it will only be a matter of time before those who came with the Straw Hats will be overrun and arrested," Ezio sighed "Undoubtedly they will search the building for anyone hiding...and they will come up here too,"
Ezio poked his head around the battlement, Robin, Spandam and the rest of CP9 were gone; most likely to confront the Straw Hats. Ezio climbed up onto the Battlement where the Straw Hats had stood a few moments ago. He looked down at the hole that Rocket Man created.
"Well then...I suppose I had better go give them a hand," Ezio grinned and he jumped off the battlement.
He was only in the air for a split second when he opened a triangular large shaped cloth and held onto the four ropes attached to it. Ezio glided down safely towards the hole. Once he was close enough he let go of the Ropes and caught
He was a bit below his destination and he started to climb up the wall as fast as he could.
In the Courthouse the Franky Family were quickly being overwhelmed, Pulie knew it was only a matter of time before the Marines would emerge victories and they would all be there prisoners; even with the giants helping them.
Even though he and the Franky Family had failed to lower the Draw Bridge all the way the Straw Hats had still managed to get to the Tower of Justice in the most outrageous way. He glanced over his shoulder and his eyes went wide as he saw Ezio's white robe climbing up the side of the Tower of Justice.
"No...No...not here..." Paulie begged.
Forgetting the battle Paulie ran to the open door that led out to the draw bridge. He took a deep breath and cried out with all his might.
"A...A...A...ASSSASSSINNN! Paulie yelled "STRAW HAT, FRANKY WATCH OUT THERE IS AN ASSASSIN COMING FOR YOU!"
The Assassin stopped climbing and turned to look over his shoulder at Paulie who was shouting a warning only Ezio could hear. He stared at Paulie for a moment before resuming his climb.
Paulie was going to shout again but several Marines tackled him and held him down. They
"No stop there's and Assassins up there," Paulie tired "You have to warn those in the tower of Justice,"
But the marines weren't listing, they were too busy trying Paulie up with his own ropes that he brought and used as weapons. They assumed he was talking about CP9 and dragged him away.
Paulie saw the white figure climb into the hole that Rocket Man had created. He mentally cursed and prayed that the Straw Hats would be alright, it was bad enough they had to fight CP9 but now they had to survive against a member of the Assassin brotherhood.
Ezio climbed into the hole and found himself in a large open lobby area, there were no desks or chairs or any furniture around; though they likely would have been blown away or destroyed by the Straw Hats grand entrance. There was however a large Staircase that led to the upper balconies that held more rooms.
Why the Marines had to build there Hq like a tower with so many stairs was a mystery to the Assassin, he didn't see the point in it. How did the commanding officers expect there men to fight off attacking or invading pirates if they had to run up 79 flights of stairs first; by the time they get to the fight, the marine soldiers would be out of stamina and too weak to fight.
It's no wonder Pirates roamed the seas so freely that they were considered a problem.
He'd infiltrated enough Marine bases and fortresses to know the way they were designed was not practical. They were all mazed like with hundreds of doors that led to even more confusing hallways and virtually every room and corridor looked the same.
It was a wonder how the Marines and Government agents ever found there way around. The Tower of Justice was no different, clearly whoever designed was either extremely arrogant or was compensating for something. Given the fact that this was a seat of power for the World Government Ezio was unsure which it was.
Ezio looked around; fortunately, there was heavy dust in the air to hid him. His eyes turned gold which let him see through the dust cloud easily. He spied Franky trying to rouse an older woman and a younger girl who had passed out due to the crash. He also saw various different limbs poking out from under the rubble. They were all glowing white so Ezio knew they were not dead.
The Dust began to thin out and clear, Ezio quickly ducked behind a larger pile of rubble before Franky spotted him. A second later Luffy burst out of the Rubble and he was followed by the rest of the crew. The elderly woman and young girl got up too.
Franky walked over to the crew.
"Oi Straw Hat, you sure took your sweet time," Franky started
"Oh it's you," Luffy said flatly "I don't have time to fight you right now. Stay here and I'll fight you later,"
"I'm not here to fight, I want to know what you're doing here brining my men to this Island?" Franky demanded.
He had seen them as the Draw Bridge had lowered. Franky was touched that they had come to save him but he did not call out or react to his men with CP9 so close to him.
"Don't blame me, they followed us," Luffy defended.
"At least they didn't stow away like Pullie and the Galley-La workers," Kokoro commented.
"EH? Paulie's here too?" Franky asked in shock.
"Yeah they came to get revenge on Iceberg," Sanji added "you know for the whole assassination thing,"
"Oh right….hey I forgot to ask. Iceberg…is he alive?" Franky asked.
"Yes, Chopper saw to that," Nami responded.
Franky breathed a sigh of relief, he had been worried about his old friend ever since he first heard the of the assassination attempt. Then things spired out of control and he was planning to ask Luffy about it when Sanji had the Den-Den Mushi on the journey to Enis Lobby but
"So are you two going to fight again?" Connor asked. Looking between Luffy and Franky.
"Nah, I did say I would help Sanji-bro here save his Nakama and kick the living shit out of CP9. Until then I'm your alley," Franky assured, "But this doesn't mean I like any of you, got it?"
"Fine but I'm still pissed off at you about Usopp," Luffy said "and I don't like you either,"
'But he's right next to you,' Franky thought as he glanced at Sogeking.
"Yeah well I hate you more," Franky shot back.
"You can't hate me more; I hate you way more than you could ever hate me,"
"Oh yeah, well I hate you this much," Franky said and opened his arms wide.
"Well I hate you this much," Luffy responded and stretched his arms out so they engulfed the entire room.
"That's too much hate," Franky shot back.
"That just means my hate is bigger and better than yours," Luffy said triumphantly as he snapped his arms back to normal.
"Well my hate for you is SUPER hate," Franky claimed.
"Then I have ultra-hate for you," Luffy argued.
The rest of the crew merely sighed and shook their heads; Franky was going to fit right in with them. This argument kept up until the arrival of one of the CP9 agents. It was the round one with a zipper on his mouth.
The CP9 agent introduced himself as Fukurou the silent owl. Fukurou informed them that Robin was currently on her way to the gates of Justice where a ship was waiting to take her to Impel Down where all her knowledge would be extracted and she would be forced to work for the government.
Fukurou revealed that she was bound by Seastone handcuffs and the only thing that would open them was a special key. However, there were 5 sets of handcuffs on-site and each member of CP9 had a different key; minus Lucci who had been assigned to escort Robin and Spandam.
Nami suggested that they forget the keys and focus on Robin however if the
"It's a game," Fukurou said "you have twenty minutes to obtain all five keys, get to Robin before she boards the ship waiting at the Gates of Justice and leaves the Island,"
"But in order to do that you have to beat all five of us CP9 agents," Fukurou claimed.
"Fine we'll just get Robin first and then fight you," Nami said "She's our priority now,"
"A good strategy, but any CP9 agent who still has a key in twenty minutes time…will throw it into the waterfall," Fukurou threatened.
"But if you do that how will the government get those handcuffs off her?" Connor asked "She'll still be bound,"
"Simple, all Seastone handcuffs are unique. The Marine HQ has all the key designs for anything with a lock made out of Seastone. Spandam will just have a replacement key made and sent to Impel down. It'll be there by the time he arrives," Fukurou explained.
"So even if we get Robin back we can't get those cuffs off," Nami summarised.
"Yep and then we will come to find you after we throw the keys away," Fukurou finished "your twenty minutes has already started. Good luck,"
Fukurou disappeared leaving the straw hats alone.
Luffy was enraged by this, he tried to run off the second Fukurou disappeared but Chopper stopped him from leaving; barely holding the Rubber Captain in back.
"Hey a little help here," the doctor begged.
"Luffy calm down," Nami tried "we need to think this through,"
"We don't have time," Luffy claimed "That pidgin asshole has Robin and there leaving,"
"We can't just rush off without a plan," Nami claimed "these are the most deadly assassins in the world,"
Ezio let out a snort at the statement; thankfully the Straw Hats were too focused on Luffy and did not hear him.
"No, let him go," Zoro said.
"Huh why?" Chopper asked.
Zoro looked at Franky.
"Is Lucci the guy with the pigeon?" he asked.
"Yeah that's him," Franky agreed.
"There are five of them and seven of us. Lucci seems the strongest so we should send Luffy after him," Zoro explained.
"I see, he saves Robin while we get the keys," Nami stated.
"Right," Zoro agreed he then turned to Luffy. "You hear that Luffy, you only have twenty minutes to find Robin and beat up Lucci. We'll take care of the rest,"
Chopper let go of Luffy and the Rubber Captain ran off at top speed. The straw hats were about to follow when Ezio decided it was time to reveal himself and he stepped out of his hiding spot.
"Scusami," Ezio said. Letting the crew know he was there.
The crew stopped, they turned and looked at him as he approached them.
"I think I may be of some assistance," He smiled.
"Who's that?" Nami asked.
"What the hell, you followed me even here?" Connor shouted, "How did you even get down here?"
"I flew," Ezio smirked.
"You can fly?" Chopper immediately asked impressed.
"Don't be confirmed, humans don't fly," Nami claimed.
"How do you I can't?" Ezio asked.
"After all, I would be very willing to demonstrate by Flying into your arms," he added with a flirtatious tone.
Nami was at a loss for words, she had not expected this person to openly flirt with her.
"HOW DARE YOU FLIRT WITH NAMI-SWANN!" Sanji yelled, "CLEARLY YOU ARE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT AND WANT TO HORRIBLE AND LUDE THINGS TO HER!"
"I see… I apologise for any offense," Ezio said sincerely "I had no idea that you two were a couple,"
Sanji's face instantly turned bright red at the thought of him and Nami being an official couple.
"We're not," Nami said, shattering Sanji's fantasy.
"Ah well then no apologies necessary," Ezio said happily.
"So who are you exactly?" Zoro asked, "Are you part of the government?"
"My name is Ezio Auditore," Ezio introduced with a low bow "and I assure you I am not part of CP9 or the government,"
"How do we know that?" Zoro asked as he eyed the assassins' weapons.
"I haven't tried to kill you yet," Ezio offered.
"If you're not part of the government than what are you doing on this Island?" Franky asked.
"I came to acquire…something important," Ezio stated.
"You mean steal right?" Sogeking asked.
"Si, that's right,"
"What did you come to steal?" Nami asked interested.
"Stole actually, I already have what I came for. However my escape route was cut off when your crew attacked this Island," Ezio explained "since I am stuck here because of your actions you will provide me with an alternative means to escape,"
"I assume you have some kind of escape plan to get off this Island. you will take me with you when you leave and in return, I will assist you in rescuing your Nakama," Ezio said "provided my terms are met of course,"
"And what terms are those?" Nami asked suspiciously.
"That you take me with you when you leave and give me sanctuary until I can make arrangements to return to my home Island," Ezio said.
"That's all?" Sogeking asked.
"Si, I would also appreciate if you did not pry further into my business or personal life," Ezio added "out of common courtesy of course,"
"So you want to stay with us until you can go home yourself?" Nami asked, "how do we know you won't just betray us if we agree?"
"I could ask you the same thing," Ezio responded.
"As long as we are on this Island you need not fear my blades," Ezio assured.
"So you will wait till we're off the island to stab us in the back?" Nami accused.
"Oh no, I would never dream of stabbing you, my dear Belladonna. It would be a shame to tarnish such beauty as yours with blood and a hole in your chest,"
Nami turned a bright shade of red.
"Are you…threating and flirting at the same time?" Chopper asked.
"Si, I am a man of many talents," Ezio answered happily.
He then walked up to Zoro and held out his hand.
"So do we have a deal?" Ezio asked.
Zoro sighed. They really did not have time for this.
"Our Captain just ran off so I can't make any promises other than you escaping with us," Zoro said "Hell we don't even know where we will be going after all this. But once we're all safe you can talk to Luffy about hanging around and anything else,"
"Then consider my blade and skills at your disposal," Ezio said with a smile.
Zoro reached out and shook Ezio's hand.
"Right let's go get those keys," Zoro said and he took off running in a random direction.
The rest of the Crew followed; however, Connor felt something grab the back of his hooded Jacket preventing him from running off. He turned to see it was Ezio who was holding him back.
"Little boy, what is your name?" Ezio asked and he released his Jacket.
"Connor," Connor responded warily.
"No last name?"
Connor shook his head.
"I see…well then Connor I do not believe you should go with them," Ezio said.
"Why not?"
"Because fighting CP9 will be dangerous and beyond your current abilities," Ezio pointed out.
"I don't care, I want to help save Robin," Connor declared.
"If you go you will most definitely die," Ezio said seriously "how do you think your captured Nakama would feel if you died trying to save her?"
Connor balled his fists and looked away.
"I know I'm weak…but we need those keys," Connor insisted.
"There are other ways you can help that do not involve you being in danger," Ezio assured.
"Like what?"
"When your friends retrieve those keys they will want to deliver them to Robin right away, no?"
"I suppose,"
"And if they are unfamiliar with this tower and the route then they will take up more time trying to find it," Ezio explained "So how about we find and secure the quickest route to where the gates of Justice, that way your crew can deliver the keys as soon as they collect them,"
"Um…okay, I guess that makes sense," Connor said, "But where should we start?"
Ezio smiled, he glanced over his shoulder and walked over to the far wall. He ran his hands along the wall and stopped on a brick that was slightly poking out. He pressed it and a secret door next to it opened up revealing a long dark tunnel.
"How about down here," Ezio suggested.
Connor ran over to the tunnel, he looked down into the dark hidden corridor and then back at Ezio.
"How did you know this was here?" he asked.
"When this is over, I will tell you," Ezio promised.
