"Alright team that was a real great run, I'd say we grab some grub and relax for a while!" Lynn Jr praised her friends who collapsed immediately after their run. "I'm so glad we have three more days until our game." Margo said as the she and the rest of her teammates sat on a nearby bench to relax and enjoy the scenery at the park, taking in their surroundings.
"It sure is nice to enjoy naattttuuurr uhhhh?" Paul said but was immediately distracted by something. The girls all stared at their crippled friend with confused and worried looks on their face. "You okay there Paula?" Lynn Jr questioned her distracted friend who looked flabbergasted at something. "You're sister is on a date with a boy..." Paula announced causing the other girls to gasp while Lynn rolled her eyes. "Pttt, That's probably just Lori and Bobby. No big deal." Lynn sat back on the bench and closed her eyes.
Although she didn't really understand why her friends were acting so scandalous about Lori on a date with Bobby. She considered him a future brother in law who happened to make her sister very happy and most importantly leaving them alone.
"It's not Lori, It's Luan!" Margo announced causing Lynn to open her eyes to stare at her friend like she grew two heads. "What are you talking about? Luan doesn't have a boyfriend!" Lynn responded to the accusations her friends had. She remembered that Luan once told her that she wasn't really interested in dating at the moment but that was two years ago so maybe her decision had changed by them.
"You should check it out for yourself Lynn!" Lainey said as she her finger pointing in the direction that the couple were at. The 14 year old got up from the bench and made her way towards the tree to hind behind it just so Luan wouldn't notice her. Meanwhile Lainey and Paula were behind a tree to the right side of Lynn and Margo. "Now look!" Margo whispered to her best friend as she pointed out where her sister was. It took Lynn not too long to find her, and sure enough Luan was definitely on a date with a boy. From what she could see, it looks like they were having a picnic together while in a very deep conversation that they seemed to be very interested in.
Lynn looked at her friends before looking back at her sister and this boy. "I don't know guys, what if they're just friends?" She immediately brushed away the allegations of her sister being in a relationship. If she was ever in a relationship she assumed the comedian would have mentioned it to her by now. "If they were friends then why would they kiss?" Margo replied causing Lynn Jr to stare again. And sure enough she watched just in time to witness the happy couple share a kiss. Lynn didn't even know Luan could kiss! And when they pulled apart, Lynn didn't even miss how much Luan was smiling at her boyfriend. "I've never seen your sister so happy before! She's even glowing!" Lainey compliment the happy couple while Margo and Paula hummed in agreement.
Lynn Jr immediately went to sit back on the bench followed by Margo, Paula, and Lainey who stared at her with noticeably worried looks. "What's wrong Lynn?" Margo spoke up out of concern causing Lynn to sigh and groan. "It's like you said I've never seen Luan happy before, but I really didn't know she had a boyfriend!" Lynn raised her voice a bit but not enough where her sister could hear her. "But other than that, I'm really glad she found someone that makes her happy. She thought back to the way she witness Luan smiled at Benny after they shared a kiss. Maybe she should go up and talk to them.
Lynn, determined as ever looked up at the girl around her. "Ladies, I have a plan!" The 14 year old got up from the bench. Margo, Paula, and Lainey stared at each other and shrugged as they gathered around Lynn to hear her so called plan.
Benny got up from the picnic blanket he and Luan were laying on for what felt like forever but was actually an hour. "I had a great time with you today." The young boy held out his hand so that he could pull Luan up from the ground. "I had a great time with you as well." Luan replied as she immediately took his hand. They were immediately faced to face. "I love you." Benny said as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. The comedian smiled at him immediately feeling butterflies fluttering in her stomach out of nervousness and excitement. "I love you too." Luan answered back. Slowly he leaned down and captured her lips in his. Smiling against the he pulled away slightly before whispering, "I love you," and kissing her once more. Benny repeated this affectionate action a few more times before Luan pulled away from him due to a familiar voice.
The comedian turned around and her eyes widened with what she was witnessing. Benny looked on as well before focusing on Luan again. "You wanna go talk to her?" He asked his girlfriend who thought about it before making her decision. "Sure, Why not!" Luan immediately too his hand but not before picking up their picnic blanket and putting it away in a bag. The couple walked over to where Lynn was doing warm ups with her own teammates. "Hey Lynn, watcha doing here?" Luan looked at her nervously and then towards Benny who gave her a reassuring smile causing her to blush.
Lynn looked at her older sister surprised while her teammates waved at the couple who waved back at then. "We were just finishing up our excercise for the day and then head home." The young athlete gave a thumbs up to Luan who just smiled at her. Before she could say anything, Benny spoke up. "That's perfect, I was planning to go get some ice cream and then walk my girlfriend home. Maybe you could join us. He wrapped his arms around Luan's waist who was smiling at her before speaking up. "So what do you say Lynn?" She asked her younger sister who was bouncing up and down out of excitement. "I'd say, Let's go!"
Lynn eventually said her goodbyes to her teammates and started walking out with them. As promised, the trio did stop by an Ice cream truck for a cool treat. "Your man seems very chivalrous." Lynn said as she and Luan were waiting for Benny to pay for his ice cream. "Yeah, he's super amazing." Luan let out a relieved sigh as she licked her ice cream.
Before she could say anything ,Benny walked over to the two sister now that he was done paying for his treat. The trio walked together in silence before stopping at a stop light. Lynn Jr turned to look at Benny. "Are you planning on marrying my sister?" That question caused the comedian to choke on her ice cream, surprised by what her sister just asked he boyfriend.
