I.M.P. on orders from Azazel are currently sneaking into a secure facility in the Pride Ring. Their goal is to destroy the artifact kept there keeping Azazel from entering the Pride Ring.
"Ok let's make this quick. The moment we destroy this thing the moment security will be on us and I don't want to be here when Lucifer shows up." Blitzø says.
"Agreed Sir, by the way what are we destroying?"
"It's some sort of obelisk. At least that's what Vaugner says it is. I just hope this fancy hammer he gave us works."
"Why are we doing this? I thought Vaugner and his forces were supposed to be taking care of this?" Millie asks.
"Something about how Azazel wants to be able to be in Hell before everything goes down. So we are taking this one out first. Once Azazel gives the go ahead, then the Armies of Ghostopolis will flood in and begin work on taking out the other artifacts." Blitzø explained.
"I wonder how she managed to swing that."
"I don't know but I am sure she made some sort of deal with the guy."
Eventually after sneaking past security the three of them reach the vault and begin breaking their way in. It takes some time but eventually they cut the door open, gaining access to the obelisk. It's made from an unknown material with a green glow about it. Immediately Blitzø hits the thing with the hammer and the obelisk begins to crack and crumble before exploding. This alerts security to what has just happened and immediately the three of them make their escape.
While all that was happening, back at the Dinner, Adam was counting the money in the register, Azazel was eating pie at the counter, Alice was cleaning up tables and Cain was sweeping the floor. As Adam went to take a sip of water Chuck and Lute slid in on the floor through a portal causing him to spit on Azazel.
"Fuck man." Azazel says upset until Adam has her turn her head slightly.
"That did not go as planned." Chuck says as he stands up."
"No kidding where are we?" Lute asks before immediately being hugged by Adam.
"I missed you." Adam says to her.
"I missed you too, you big idiot." She replies while returning the hug.
"So what happened exactly?" Cain asks.
"Your grandmother happened." Chuck replied.
"Did you and mom have a falling out?" Adam asks.
"Worse, she wants to unleash the Doomsday Protocol on the Earth just to spite me. So I need to come up with a plan to stop her."
Azazel smiles and then stands up. "I guess that's where I come in Old Man."
"You guys have been hanging out with Azazel?"
"How sweet of you to recognize me in my new form Father."
"How could I not recognize my own children, especially… you."
"I love you too. Now, I am primed and ready to fight for control over Hell. I just need to know if you guys are with me?"
"Hold on I feel like I missed something."
"While you were gone Azazel has been plotting to take over Hell." Adam explains.
"Damn myself. Let me talk to Lucifer first. I would prefer to have his help in retaking Heaven. But if it comes to it, then that's when you can do your thing." Chuck says.
"Fair." Azazel reluctantly agrees knowing full well that it will all break down.
