"We got buffer a gift" charge said quietly to Vicky
"what gift"
"white silk boxer shorts for his wedding night"
"He don't know?"
"It in his bag" Swain said smiling.
"what did he get you"
"Anchor cufflinks" Barry said
"Good gift they are"
"Yes they are" AJ said.
Then buffer walk back into the kitchen "that was the gardeners and lawn moving guy"
"you paid them" Vicky asked
"Yes mum. Mum why don't you go and have a shower" she turn to him
"Why" he sat down and held onto her hand
"Cause mum there a lady coming around in little over half an hour to do your hair, make up and your hands"
"My hands" she look at them then to buffer
"Yes mum"
"Peter you spending to much on me"
"and your worth it mum"
"No I'm not"
"Yes you are" they look at each other
"ok, you win" Vicky said
"mum it would be worth it"
"i hope so" She wheel her self out of the kitchen.
"You really spoiling her" Charge said
"I am, I want her to spent the last few months happy and that is what I'm going to do, even through I'm up in Cairns"
"Sounds like she doesn't like being spoiled" Barry said
"i know but she dose deserve it"
"dose Nav know?" Swain asked
"Yes she dose. Couple days ago Nikki and I went halves in a dress for her to wear today"
"was you mum with you when you brought it?" Charge asked
"Yes, we let her decided. She keep telling us that it was to much"
"to much the price?" AJ asked
"Yes. I spoke to her when we return from shopping about it."
Then the house phone rang so Pete got up and went to answer it "Hello... yes this is Peter Tomaszewski... yes I know them... ok I'll be there soon... alright" then he hung up and turn around to the guys
"Lisa and Karen are down at the police station"
"I'll take you" Swain said as he stood up
"thanks Swain. Charge can you let my mum know where I am"
"Sure"
"thanks oh... Mrs Taylor will be here in half an hour do mum hair and make up"
"no worries"
"thanks" then he and swain walk out of the kitchen and house.
"so Andy what can you tell us about Pete, what it like working with him" Charge grin
"I'll try you some funny stories about buffer"
Swain drove Pete to the police station, they were quiet the whole time. Swain knows to be patient and let buffer take the lead. When they arrived at the police station they both got out of the car and walk in side up to the front desk
"Hello can I help you two"
"I'm Peter Tomaszewski, I got a call to come down here" Pete show him his navy ID
"do you know who called you sir"
"Frank, Prescott" Pete said
as he put his wallet back in his pocket just as the officer pick up a phone and press couple of numbers then waited he spoke to the person on the other end before hanging up
"constable Prescott will be out in a minute"
"thank you" Pete said then walk over to the wall and lean against it closing his eyes. Swain watch him then look around till door open
"Peter Tomaszewski" Pete open his eyes and move away from the wall
"Yes"
"hi I'm constable Prescott" they shook hands
"hi this is friend of my Chris Black he the navy police officer"
"hi" Chris said as they shook hands
"Hi, come on through and we can talk"
"sure" they follow the constable through the door and down to the interview rooms where he told Pete and Swain about what Lisa and Karen has done.
When he finish telling them they stop out side a close door. "they have been charge and they will have to come back to appear in court. You can take them home with you" He step forward to put his hand on the door handle
"Wait" Pete said.
The officer stop and turn to him "I want to have a word with them both before they leave if that is ok with you"
"sure, when your ready to leave knock on the door" He open the door and let Pete walk in side then Pete close the door behind him.
"He doesn't look happy" officer said
"no he not. He going through a ruff time and what his sisters did today is the last straw for him"
"what do you mean"
"He getting married in hour and half"
"He getting married"
"Yes and his mother is ill, she got cancer and she got few months to live"
"Really no wounder he doesn't look happy"
"no he not" then they heard yelling coming from Pete. They listen for few minutes and notice other officers could hear Pete yelling.
"I should go in there" Officer said
"don't, please. He needs to do this not just for him self but for his mum and fiancee"
They heard Pete giving both Lisa and Karen a good talking to for another five more minutes when a man in suite walk over to them
"constable what going on in there"
"Senor detetive woods this is Coxswain Chris Blake of the Royal Australian navy"
"sir, I'll explain what going on" Swain said
"Please do so, every one could hear who ever it is in there yelling"
Swain explain to the senor detetive about Pete, his mum, sisters and what was happening today. When he finish telling senor detetive he under stood
"no wounder he not happy with his sisters"
"Yes sir" when the yelling stop they look at the door and waited when there was a knock, so the constable open it and buffer walk out of the door
"Are you ok buffer" Swain asked
"I will be" he turn around
"come on you two, you got a lot of apogee to do" Lisa and Karen walk out with there heads down
"sorry about the yelling" buffer said to the constable
"you had your reasons, good luck for this afternoon and congradulations"
"thanks, come on let's head back to mum place the limo will there in ten minutes and thanks to you two it going to cost us bloody time and money" Pete said looking at his sisters they walk the way they came.
Swain got his phone out and called charge, he spoke to him for couple of minutes before hanging up while smiling "Swain"
"your mum teasing Charge while getting her hair done"
"Oh"
"Yes some thing about hair gel and curlers" buffer laugh
"sounds like mum" buffer shook the constable hand and pass him his navy card.
"contact me if you got any other questions, or if you can't get hold of me contact Cairns NAVCOM. They know how to get in contact with me"
"thanks"
They turn and walk out of the building when Pete cell phone rings so he answer it
"Hey calling me twice in few hours do you miss me that much" Pete said smiling as the four of them got into the car.
"Charge call you... he told you what happen... yeah we just left the police station... yes we are behind in time... don't worry I'll be there... ok see you soon... love you to" then they hug up.
"Charge called and told Nikki about what happen"
"how did she sound" Swain asked as he drove back to Vicky place
"Piss off, I'll tell her more later"
"Ok" When they arrived back at Vicky place the limo was already there.
They got out and buffer went to talk to the driver while Swain, Lisa and Karen went in side to get change and ready.
"Swain where buffer" Charge said as he and the others were already change
"Talking to the driver, here he comes now" Buffer walk into the kitchen
"where mum"
"she waiting for you in her room"
"Ok come on swain" they walk out of the kitchen and into there rooms where they quickly got change.
When done they heard a knock on the door "I'll get it" charge said.
He went to see who it was "Sally, come in"
"thanks Andy, where Chris"
"Getting change"
"what"
"He will explain later" Then swain walk out of the room doing buttons up on his jacket.
"Hey" he said as he step forward to give Sally a kiss
"Where you bag"
"Oh right" he turn around and walk back into the room then back out again
"Here" he pass her, his bag
"thanks, Andy where is yours"
"Right here" he pass it to Sally
"Ok and Pete"
"Right here" he pass two bags to Sally
"Ok I'll go and put these in the car, Chris, keys" he pass her the keys
"Thanks, where Vicky"
"I'll bring her out to the car" Pete said
"ok" Pete turn around and walk to his mum door
"mum"
"come in Peter" he open the door and walk in then stop and smile
"Mum you look amazing"
"you think so" he walk in and crouch down while holding her hands
"Yes I do" he said smiling then he look down at her painted finger nails, he look up at her with a smile on his face.
"We better get going"
"i agree"
he stood up and walk behind the wheel chair and push it out of the bed room and out to the back door where Pete grooms men were all waiting.
"Vicky wow you look totally amazing" Charge said
"thanks Andy"
"you do look great" Swain said smiling.
Buffer wheel the chair over to the passenger door where swain open it. Vicky manage to stand up and got into the car while buffer went and took the wheel chair to the back of the car where he collapsed it and put it in the boot then close the door. He walk around to the passenger side
"See you at the gardens mum"
"Ok Pete" Pete close the door just as Sally started the engine then drove back down the drive way.
Pete return back in side to get his sward then he turn around "Lisa, Karen" He called out.
When they didn't answer "they could of left" Charge said
"come on, we fifteen minutes late as it it" buffer said they walk out of the house with buffer locking the door. Then they walk down and got into the limo. Then they were off to the gardens.
When Nikki and her bridges maids walk out of the spa they felt relax. They walk down to the hair dressers where they were getting there hair done. They were talking and laughing while the hair dressers were busy getting there hair done up.
When they were finish they thanks the staff before leaving since the brides maids arrived in a limo. They all got into the limo and headed back to the hotel. "How are you feeling Nikki"
"Nerves, happy, excited"
"and we know why" another one of her friends said
"Oh tell us"
"you looking ford to seeing Pete in uniform"
"That to" Nikki said making them all laugh
"girl you got it bad"
"oh yes" they talk and laugh till the limo stop out side the hotel.
They all got out and the driver got the bags out from the boot and pass it to them before they walk into the hotel where Nikki walk up to the front desk and spoke to women there then she walk over to her brides maids
"Shell we" they walk towards the elevator since the doors open and got in then the doors close. They laugh and joke the whole time till they walk into Nikki room
"wow Nikki, this view is amazing"
"I know" then her cell phone rings so she got it out of her pocket and see who it was before answering it
"Hello"
"It that lover boy" one of them said making them all laugh
"sorry about that charge"
"Ops" bride maid said making them laugh again
"Is every thing ok" Nikki said then her face drop as she sat on the bed
"they did what" Nikki was shock
"Where Pete now... oh no... how Vicky... yes sure"
"Nikki what wrong" brides maids were getting worried that some thing happen to Pete
"Vicky... I know charge just told me, how are you doing... yes... yes I know it was my idea" she started to smile
"He right...ok... Charge I'll give Pete a call in fifteen minutes... I know what he like... true, ok I'll call Swain, thanks for calling... sure bye" then she hung up.
"Nikki what wrong"
"Lisa and Karen been arrested and charge for stealing a gift card and trying to cash it in"
"You joking who was the gift card for" one of them asked
"Pete and me. Vicky spent months saving up for it, it was going to be wedding gift from her"
"How much was it" another one asked
"five hundred dollars"
"that a lot of money"
"I know, Vicky saw Lisa and Karen going through her purse, they took it even through it was in the wedding card and money from her purse"
"what how low they can be"
"I agree" another one said.
Nikki called swain and spoke to him. She could hear buffer in the back round. When they finish talking Nikki hung up and let out her breath
"Nikki what is it"
"that was swain I spoke to... I could hear buffer in the back round. I knew it was building up for a long time"
"Meaning what" Nikki look at them
"buffer is like a volcano you don't know when it going to blow, there a lot of earth quakes and smoke and steam and that it. Right now, that volcano has exploded"
"Pete"
"Yes it been building up for a very long time"
"that not the only thing that will be building up" one of the brides maids said
"Oh care to share" another one said
"all that sexual tension will be exploding tonight" they all laugh.
They talk and laugh as they all help each other as they get change into there brides maids dress when there was a knock on the door so Nikki went to see who it was. She open the door so the guy could push the trolly in then Nikki sign the docket before the guy left
"Oh champagne" One of them said.
As she open the first bottle and pour in to glasses while another brides maid did the same with the other bottle till they were empty and they got glass in hand
"to Nikki last few hours of freedom, we all wish you and Pete many years of happiness" Her matron of honor said
"Here, here"
"to Nikki"
"to Nikki" they click there glasses then took a sip when Nikki cell phone rings again. So she open it and saw it was a text message so she look at her brides maids
"Volcano has settle down" they laugh.
Then she called buffer. She talk to him and her brides maids were making cheeky comments about exploding volcano then laughing. When she finish talking to him she shook her head at them
"come on Nikki now it your turn to get change"
"It sure is"
They help Nikki get change into her wedding dress. Once dress they finish there drinks then pick up there bouquets that was deliver while she and her brides maids were getting there hair, and make up done. They all walk out of the room and down to the foilar where Nikki dad where waiting with the page boys and flower girls.
When he saw her he grin "Nikki you look amazing"
"thanks dad"
"you look awesome mum" Nikki laugh as she gave Nick a hug
"thanks Nick"
"come on lets go" Andrew said.
The brides maids keep the kids with them when they walk out side and they got into three limos. One for Nikki and her dad the others are for the brides maids, flower girls and page boys. Once in the limos left to head to the royal botanic gardens, the same gardens where Mike and Kate got married.
